Hmmm! na small small like this en dey take start. before you know it, he will begin dey owe workers like the immediate past governor of Abia state in the name of Okezie Ikpeazu. Abeg make una no dey compare Rivers State Governor with Governor of Abia State. We will never get to that. Even in their worst, Rivers Governors have always been better than Abia State Governors. Sim has a conscience unlike most politicians. Hopefully we will be paid today. It's wik.ed that's not allowing the governor to breathe. We should all be praying against wi.ked to allow Sim to do his work, for our own good, else this might affect us eventually. Let's be praying against this tyranny. |

Too many subject teachers vacant. People are retiring in their numbers every year creating even more vacancies in schools yet employment is at snail speed. |

Then you can be saying this Stop projecting what you are to someone else. Everyone mustn't be like you. You are obviously not one of us (Rivers State Teachers) |

Raxxye: This is the first time I'm hearing that teachers contribute to pay supervisor's transport. They've also been frequent at my school lately, but only the principal settles them. I can't even imagine paying money for supervisor's transport. Who does that? I think it's all about the principal. Well, we will no longer give anyone shishi for tp again in my school. |

It's this kinda mindset that has corrupted the school system entirely. Anyway, my colleagues and I have agreed to stop allowing them to use us for their meal every week. |

Poanan: Some jobs need you to have stayed in the UK for some time to carry out a detailed check on you. Police report from your country is not needed. They want to rely on your stay in the UK to carry out that check. So not having enough foot print in this case may mean someone who has stayed in the UK for more time is more likely to have entered one trouble or the other than some one who just came. However, it doesn't not mean that the person who just came is a saint but with time the person may start to reveal true colour. That is the reason they need you to have stayed in the UK for some time for some jobs. But it varies. Some govt depts ask for something as simple as dbs, criminal record check or Bpss. Just always check what they need before applying . Most home office vacancies will ask for a certain form of security check. For people saying they don't ask that for junior roles please and please dont pay attention to them just follow what is written on the advert. The least home office requires from what i have seen so far is ctc clearance. Which requires you to have stayed in the UK for 3years. Please, can this DBS be gotten while in Nigeria or it must be from the UK? |

onlyhandsome202: I am not against them coming because they are doing their work. But am against you people paying for their transportation. Maybe you guys don't come to work hence the payment. In my school, nobody pays money to give to anyone. Only the principal settles them. I have never paid anything to anyone since I started this work. Lead the protest to stop the illegal money. Not so in my school. The principal of my school shifts the burden to teachers. Sometimes I feel he's part of the bargain. No one is against their visits as stated in my first post. The intent of the visit, to be collecting money from teachers is the problem here. I'll definitely work to stop it. |

Who else is experiencing this very frequent visit from both board and ministry to the school since we got our promotion? In a week two visits from the board and ministry.
It's not even a problem if they visit but they always request for transport money each time they come ever since we got promoted as if they were not also promoted. Sometimes we contribute 1k each person, some other times 500 in the name of transport.
Is it just my school or it's general? It's becoming irritating.
The worse is that each time they come it's different set of people you'll see as if all of them are taking turns to come collect their share from teachers. |

Y'all going there to register your displeasure will yield fruits than complaining here. Oya continue complaining here na since to go board no good. |

God1000: Good, they should release all the hostages to their families and Israel should stop bombing Gaza as well.
We need to stop vilifying and demonizing each other, nobody is subhuman, christian or Muslim
Both sides have committed serious atrocities, it won't be fair to blame one side
Palestinians should have their own country, though it appears like a pipedream now going by the current reality, but violence isn't the way to go Fight amongst these people can never stop. God said in the scriptures that all neighbouring cities will keep fighting the Israelites. It will never know peace. The only luck they have is that they are supported by world powers so have more weapons than the Palestinian. |

kebosky: don't drag SSSB teacher's into the high-handedness of the UBE board. It's not our fault that your board is refusing to do the right thing. That's how the other day teacher's of UBE went to the ministry of finance protesting that the salaries and steps of their counterparts in SSSB be reduced to the same level as that of the UBE if the finance doesn't want to also increase their own. We gave you guys the info about our high step so that you can push for yours to be increased too, not to go there and be saying ours should be reduced for uniformity Can you imagine? |
