My humble advice for those who want to protest, pls be careful how you people go about this plan. Government may misunderstood your plans and tag it sponsored protest from the opposition party. They are paying us and things are hard like this, imagine if the salary isn't coming how it will be. Pls we have not died for more than 10 years and we will not also die now. I am a Christian and I practice my faith in all situation including this one.
When we were employed there was no substantive board chairman but our appointment letters were issued to us by an acting chairman which were later retrieved from us and new one issued to us by a constituted board chairman which I guess was against the norm (Protocol broken because of us). Such can still happen again for our own good.

OUR PROMOTION SALARY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RECEIVING PROMOTION LETTERS OR NOT. THEIR ARE WORKERS IN SOME MINISTRIES WHO HAVEN'T BEEN GIVEN THEIR PROMOTION LETTERS BUT RECEIVED THE NEW PROMOTION SALARY LAST MONTH, WHILE OTHERS WHO HAVE RECEIVED THEIR PROMOTION LETTERS LIKE THOSE WORKING IN COURTS STILL WEREN'T PAID THE NEW SALARY, PLS FACT CHECK MY CLAIMS.

according to her it's done in batches.
The person was given 5 promotions at a go. That's from level 8 to level 14.

Good one. Ours should be Level 12 as per 3 yrs per Level. We will get there.

My brother we are in for a real slavery,,,is it not the side hustle that some of us went for and supervisors came and and collected the time book and consequently their salaries has been seized for the past three months,,,finally they have been asked to refund their one or two months salary as the case maybe before their salaries can be released, This politicians really want us to suffer feed from hand to mount,,,if you go for other husle you will be penalized I don't know what we can do right now,,,we are under slavery...except we speak for ourselves

The plan of government for teachers is for us to live in one room batcher,eat one square meal,if you sick you are on your own, your kids should attend free government schools, wear tattered ragged clothes.
So my dear friends just take this job as secondary and your other hustle as primary.

We can never bow to that. We work for it and so we deserve our promotion like others. This is the mindset we should all have and not bow to such treatment. correction , NUT deduction is also important but its secondary, our primary focus should be on our promotion salary

Indiscriminate deduction and this delayed promotion are both equally important. None is less important. That's how the deduction will triple when promotion comes. The time to kick against it is now.

he was using NUT constitution to defend himself and saying the LGA NUT chairmen did not inform the teachers and that is not his fault. According to the constitution you are to contribute to raise fund for the building.

Does not know the number of teachers in the state because some are retiring and some have retired.

When will the building be completed?
He say he doesnt know when the NUT building will be completed but very soon it will be roofed.

What is the.budget for the buiding?
Does not know the budget for the building at the moment.

LGA NUT chairmen on your behalf agree with the State NUT chairman to deduct 4000 naira from your salary.

Just imagine!!! Deduct from our salary without our consent and he's here talking about LGA NUT didn't inform us as if it's their right. We never dey carry this people go court as teachers that's why they think we have no right. We need to start to speak out for ourselves o. These people keep trampling on us anyhow and anytime they like. Anyone likes will stand up and think of what to deduct from our salaries or what to charge and go scot free because they think we have no voice.

What's even the benefits of the careless building when even the NUT itself is use.le.ss to us.

God bless those obio-akpor teachers who voiced out. The sooner we all start voicing out the better for us. I saw someone here saying here we should ignore the deduction and concentrate on the promotion. I was told the board chairperson was suspended then because of she was caught selling the job slots at 500k. But I don't know how true sha, and that made out letters to be stepped down.

Let us simply start by bombarding the talk shows on radio with calls from tomorrow. I am sure with such volume of complaints d stations will make it a news headline, which may force positive reactions from govt.

We should b civil & responsible as we do this:
1. Complain on d plight of Civil Servants in d state in relation to the harsh economy & make it known that there has not been any promotion for over 10 years.

2. PLEAD with d govt to have compassion on its workforce & implement d promotion that has been going on for months now.

3. We must refrain from referring to teachers but in all our statements say civil servants, so as to possibly gain solidarity with all civil servants & enlarge awareness base. ( no b only teachers b civil servants, Wike &co no kukuma like us ).

4. WE MUST NOT INSULT ANYBODY!!! The intention is to create awareness, get compassion & move d powers that b to positive reactions to our requests.

Exactly, except point 3. We should be our own voice and speak for ourselves as teachers. If we don't specifically mention 'teachers' who else will do it for us, especially when some do not regard us as civil servants.

Throw NLC that's currently under the control of the state government out or which NLC do you mean? Abeg y'all let's focus on how our promotion can be implemented instead of talking about what is not feasible. We should be our own voice.

Former emperor Wike set a very bad precedent in Rivers state civil service.
Unfortunately, we decided to reinforce failure by majority of civil servants in Rivers state voting PDP again. We deserve what we are currently getting. It is a long journey ahead of us.

Does it look to you that vote in Nigeria counts? Them dey vote for Nigeria abi na rigging be the order of the day.

Secondly, it's not about the party it's about the person, whether APC or PDP they are the same recycled people.
