When you guys (UBE) received your promotion salary and be rubbing it on our faces and didn't care whether they paid us (SSSB) or not, did you remember this logic? Now the patient dog eats the fattest bone, it's now injury to one, injury to all. Instead of you guys to match to your board to tell them to come to par, you are there thinking SSSB is your problem.

I decree, instead of my current salary to decrease it will increase. No one can stop it ijn amen.

When I applied for my approval, there are some of my colleagues that finished their PGDE some years earlier that I submitted theirs too, and it was approved since it was NTI weekend part-time program.

So, you can apply for approval of study, and use it to submit your PGDE certificate. Better still, if you have TRCN certificate, apply for submission and recognition of your TRCN certificate, attached photocopy of your PGDE certificate for Documentation.

What you really need now is TRCN certificate, for recognition and addition of one step.

The heading should be APPLICATION FOR SUBMISSION AND RECOGNITION OF MY TRCN CERTIFICATE no special celebration, even the approval is not needed at this stage. Once you have your TRCN certificate that mean you are a certified teacher and professional teacher.

No interview or screening is needed at this stage, only your application letter, and attached photocopy of your TRCN are needed. In your application remember to include your staff ID card number, and computer number.

Direction: As you enter the PPSB compound facing the main building, then move to the building at the right hand side, climb the upstair, ask any staff, he/she will direct you where to submit it.

The application can be both handwritten or typed. Mine was handwritten.

To collect your TRCN certificate: if you have your PGDE or any other qualification in education, register for TRCN exam, write and pass the exam.
When the result comes out, you will pay a certain amount to apply for your certificate, it usually take some months to come out. Maybe 4 to 8 months, better still, you can follow it up by calling their state coordinator.

All 2013 teachers were placed on TSS structure. Both B.A, B.Sc, H.N.D with Level 8 step 3 and B.Ed with step 4.
TSS is for Academic, that is teaching staff, while CONPSS should be for non teaching staff.

TSS stands for Teachers salary structure, while CONPSS stands for Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure

I was at Post Primary School Board (PPSB) last week for more information. I successfully applied for submission and recognition of my TRCN certificate, attaching the photocopy of my TRCN certificate to the application letter as directed. When the board recognizes my TRCN certificate, a step will be added, and one will be treated as a professional teacher.

Therefore, teachers on level 8 step 3, now level 12 step 6 are treated as nonprofessional teachers, while those formerly on level 8 step 4, presently on level 12 step 7 are treated as professional teachers.

If you have Master's degree and Ph.D after our employment, it can't be use for upgrade again, as I learned from the board, because the current level is above the level of Masters and Ph.D. (i.e level 9 for Master's, and level 10 for Ph.D)

Only what is possible is conversion from nonprofessional teacher to professional teacher, through your application for submission and recognition of TRCN certificate. (I.e addition of one step)

U are right. We were all placed on Teachers Salary Structure from the first date of employment. Whether you have educational qualification or not. The only difference is those who started with educational qualification were placed a step higher. If it was the other salary structure we were placed, our salary would have been lower.

So las las NLC haf disembarked on the supposed strike. Take NLC serious at your peril. How are y'all coping with the high cost of transportation? I don dey reason to go buy car like this.

You are telling us that from your nominal roll level 12 step 7 is 124k and level 12 step 6 is 120k? That nominal roll is suffering from inadequate and grossly wrong data information... What is you level and step and how much did you get paid with recently?

The payslip posted previously by 001bumsa in page 800 shows that Level 8 step 4 received gross of N134,887.18. After TAX, PENSION, UNION DUES, NHF deduction, Net stands at N112,648.64.

The above indicate that payment made to senior section was based on level 8 step 6 for B.Sc, B.A, and HND holders, and level 8 step 7 for B.Ed holders.


This mean that the analysis of mela82 is not far from the truth.

Nothing is correct until we see the level and step on our promotion letters. Even the level and step on the payslip is not certain. The promotion letter will reflect where we rightfully belong. Let them start dispersing the promotion letters. Why are they delaying

That's what i am saying. UBEB should use the SSSB model as directed earlier by the governor, levle 8/6 and 8/7 instead of 8/3 and 8/4.

How do you know we were placed on Level 8 step 6/7? No one is sure of these things till we receive our promotion letters.

The discrepancy between the SSSB and UBEB in the payment of salary is very annoying. The two board should ensure they UNIFY the payment.

The UBE should rather come up to par. SSSB has nothing to unify with UBE. UBE and it's scattered way of doing things has always been notable.

Whether you obtained PGD or master as far as you entered this job with first degree, nothing will be added to you.In civil service,the qualification is first degree or you started with masters and or PhD.If you were employed with first degree i.e BSC OR BED and later obtained your MSC OR PHD looking for implementation,you are just wasting your time.Your BSC OR BED will take you to level 16 bar and not you MSC or PHD. What your MSC OR PHD will do for you is to help you secure a Job in another establishment higher than teaching you are.If your go to the board for the to give you a higher level more than BSC or BED you are just beatting around the bush.In civil service job, first degree is the requirement except at the point of employment if you are with MSC or PHD.

This is exactly what the former principal of my school told me.

Moreover, credit worthiness ll come to play it's role here as banks(local and international), wealthy business men in diaspora and within,coporate entities, rich politicians and party supporters etc would be willing to give financial support so that the name of the individual as well as the party wouldn't be rubbed on the mud

Funny enough na u no get sen.se and the worse be say you no know say you no know anything, that's why you no know say no one here owes you payslip info. So the best you can do is go to the board yourself to pick your payslip, but if you must ask, you'll ask politely for any info regarding payslip instead of the feeling of entitlement you displayed in your previous post.

It is amazing.

It is also amazing to notice that you are also not going to the board to collect your payslip so you can know your appropriate step but rather chose to wait for someone else to collect theirs and come tell you online.

SSSB has always been more organized than UBE since we started this job. Except for recently some people are trying to scatter the orderliness that the board has been known for because of greed and other reasons. Hopefully ours will be better.

The last training ...more than 90% of the teachers were outside...the hall was too small ..stuffy and dark,no power and the sound system was inadequate...the hall could barely contain 200 people...when dey were expecting up to 2000 or more teachers.... unfortunately they are doing the same thing again....that venue is chaotic for Eleme zone...State primary school Oghale

They are confused and not serious. Something they can use Zoom, Microsoft teams, telegram or any other video conferencing app to deliver whatever lecture they want to deliver as civilized people are all doing now. They'll rather remain uncivilized and primitive remaining in analogue. When the world is evolving they chose to remain stagnant. Congregate people's parents in a tight space in the name of workshop. Plus they Want me to start paying this high cost of transport with this stagnant salary just to receive lecture. Probably they still pay transport to go deliver message that can be sent through sms or chatting app as they still live in primitive analogue era. They are not serious.

Teachers, we need to know when to stop allowing these people turn us up and down at our detriment, then watch as they'll start honouring us. It's entirely in our hands to stand up to what is right for us. Everytime and anyhow they want they push us to any direction even at our detriment then we follow like we have no choice then this will continue.
