Tax laws are meaningless until at least 10 high-profile public officer looters are rotting in jail. What’s the point of coughing up more taxes when the real thieves are roaming free, flaunting their wealth? Nigeria is swarming with public servants whose sole talent is looting government funds. Yet, the president has done nothing to catch, prosecute, or prevent them from continuing. Nearly three years into Tinubu’s administration, not a single high-profile looter is serving time, just token arrests and perfunctory questioning for appearances. Meanwhile, Nigerians are sacrificing petrol and forex subsidies, tightening belts, while the government parades lavishly: multiple cars, real estate, children in foreign schools, private jets, convoys of 30+ vehicles. The optics are glaring. The pattern is cruelly predictable: the government targets the weakest link, quiet, diligent civil servants, forcing them to pay, while the real culprits glide free. Civil servants should only hand over taxes if Tinubu can account for every kobo of forex and petrol subsidies and publicly pledge to be impeached if any appointed official or public servant steals over 50 million naira. Nigerians cannot keep feeding a system riddled with thieves. It’s like trying to fetch water with a basket,a futile grind that’s crushing the backbone of hardworking civil servants. The fire is real, and it’s long overdue. |
Catch and prosecute the Looters It doesn't make sense for Nigerians to pay all that amount of money in taxes, only for the likes of Malami and Farouk to loot everything. |
Libya, Somalia, both bombed by the U.S., always under the guise of “fighting genocide.” But a student of history knows better: America never drops bombs where there’s no financial or strategic interest. Look at the Sahel—Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso—all recently hit by coups, all moving away from Western influence and values. This is a warning: don’t let frustration with Tinubu or the APC push Nigerians into a greater evil. Striking on Christmas Day? That’s not empathy, it’s cruelty. Playing devil’s advocate, how do we know insurgents and ISIS aren’t being used as a tool, positioning forces close to countries like Mali and Niger that have officially broken from their colonial pasts, like France? Consider this: how many Nigerians actually get asylum in the U.S.? How many are forced to work long hours with no protection against racial or police discrimination? And now suddenly, the U.S. claims it wants to “save” Nigerians from Nigerians? Really. Meanwhile, Burkina Faso under Ibrahim Traoré is stabilizing. They’re asserting control, rejecting outside interference. The message is clear: the Sahel is being targeted, crippled, scattered, just like Libya was. The patterns are obvious if you’re paying attention. DON'T FORGET, THESE SAME AMERICANS WERE COMING TO AFRICA TO CAPTURE NIGERIANS AS SLAVES 200 YEARS AGO......NOW THEY ARE TELLING US. WE ARE HERE TO SAVE YOU. DON'T FALL FOR A SECOND ROUND OF SLAVERY.....THE SAME WAY THEY DECEIVED OUR ANCESTORS. |
We should be hearing directly from the President, not through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Any strike carried out within Nigeria that affects our territorial integrity and national sovereignty, and that could potentially endanger civilian lives, warrants the utmost seriousness and transparency. This is not a situation that can be addressed with a brief statement or a detached, bureaucratic memo. It calls for a formal press conference led by the Presidency, with members of the press present to ask direct, relevant questions on behalf of the public. The government must remember that it was elected by the people and remains fully accountable to them. On matters of national security and civilian safety, the public deserves clear answers, delivered openly and at the highest level of leadership. |
Its time to use this corruption hype to wipe out and reshuffle a lot of government agencies. Lets make corrupt practices even harder for perpetrators. If we can prevent it, it far more efficient than using EFCC to haunt them 7 years later. |
We want to hear from our own president on matters concerning this strike We didnt not appoint pete hegseth , neither did we vote for him. I hope commander in chief President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addresses the nation in a timely fashion. We are under attack as a sovereign nation. President Tinubu needs to come out and explain, how and why he gave permission for a foreign government to strike Nigerian soil. Was it approved by Nigerian senate ? was Akpabio complicit. To what goal or aim is the strike on Nigeria suppose to achieve ? So many questions,I hope due process was obtained. |

Mankind2024: We need to have guard rails and system checks in place, so that it will be hard for any person to loot so much. Its obvious Malami looted up 1 billion dollars. Because the properties announced is what they have been able to discover. I am sure he has more hidden, that the government is not even aware of yet. |
sulaak:Such a shame, i am sure there are still more funds, the government is yet to recover from him. No wonder he married Buhari's daughter....thinking that would give him lifetime immunity against his loot and theft of government funds |
Housing:Point to one article where I supported Malami. You can’t, because it doesn’t exist. Your attempt to smear my work collapsed under its own weight. What you’re missing isn’t intent; it’s comprehension. You’re reading for literal comfort where the writing is clearly rhetorical. Sometimes it’s devil’s advocacy, sometimes satire, sometimes strategic provocation, always contextual. If you can’t distinguish tone, that’s not ambiguity on my part; it’s a limitation on yours. The state doesn’t lack tools. It has records, data, and institutional memory, more than enough to impose guardrails, enforce accountability, and expose impropriety in allocations. Immunity from prosecution was never immunity from scrutiny. And let’s be serious: Emefiele didn’t operate in a vacuum. Subsidized FX didn’t evaporate into thin air, it flowed through a network, a cabal under Buhari’s watch. Pretending otherwise insults basic intelligence. Those beneficiaries should be named, shamed, and where evidence supports it, prosecuted. So when you read my posts, read to understand. Ask first: is this rhetoric, devil’s advocacy, or sarcasm? If you can’t tell the difference, don’t project intent, upgrade your reading. |
Reference:God will bless you !! If we correct the systems and do a reverse engineering to see exactly where and how these people are able to steal so much money. WE can put in place guard rails and systemic checks that will prevent one person from looting over 100 million dollars. These current methods of catching a thief 5 years after theft is not an effective one. Every January thief should be caught by June of the same year, and should be in Jail by December. |
Rebelutionary: You are begging for attention from me.....I understand The paucity in my engagement with you, comes from my perceived lack of your intellectual depth. You just want noise and attention. I have stated facts. You can self-entertain yourself all you want. |
Putindbutt:The prosecuting government lawyers have access to a lot of evidence and records. Prosecuting them shouldn't take a lifetime. You gave somebody 100 million and all evidence and receipt shows he only spent 20 million for the state. He cant account for the looted 80 million You dont need OJ Simpson lawyer to prove guilt. |
Rebelutionary: Atleast you are a fan. Thats for a reason. |
Wickedtruths: Some of us are blessed by God. We dont need to steal. Yet we are very wealthy. |
Putindbutt:It doesnt take 10 years to prosecute people. Justice delayed, is justice denied Allowing them enough time to enjoy the loot, sends a wrong message. |
I am in support of Malami being dragged to court. But how did Malami have access to such funds, there must have been a lot of people culpable. They should all be arraigned. Even the civil servants complicit should be arraigned. We need to fix the systemic rot and send a stern message, that the corrupt and the partaker will never rest in peace. But what happened to Yahya Bello What happened to Emefiele Emefiele should release the names of people he gave subsidized dollars to....Let him release the top 100 names, that got the most dollars from CBN. Why is EFCC only prosecuting on partisan basis ? Are you telling us there is no APC corrupt politician ? All those state governors that have been receiving FAAC allocations for 2 years, and have nothing to show for it, do you need a fortune teller to tell you they are looting the funds ? Are we borrowing billions of dollars to fund the current looters ? Is Tinubu administration using EFCC,ICPC to haunt and destroy opposition and those who stand in their way ? |
integrity16: Do you know how much Dangote donated to Obasanjo's campaign ? Do you know how much Obasanjo sold the refinery to Dangote ? Do you know why Yaradua had to take it back from Dangote ? This is just a little bit of the knowledge known to some of us. Dangote will not be running helter skelter if he had nothing to hide.....He woudl not be suing everyone that tries to open up where the skeletons are buried. |
integrity16:Saying "we know what happened in Port Harcourt refinery" is not character assassination. Take off your tiara. Stop being a drama queen. |
Rebelutionary:Bold talk, thin substance. You shout like volume equals courage, but all I see is noise trying to cosplay conviction. Calling names isn’t strength; it’s camouflage for an argument that never showed up.You accuse cowardice while hiding behind theatrics |
UKEMY: Netenyahu is a fugitive and war criminal. Changing the topic doesnt make him innocent. |
integrity16: Everyday, people wealthier than Dangote are criticized all over the world. Unless you live under the rock, you would have noticed this. Kailani has chosen God's court.....and time will tell. He can use his billions to bully people who dare share a contrary view to his. Or people who dare to hold him accountable But the question is.......for how long ? |
UKEMY:I am not going to be dragged into any bullshit. My concern is,he should leave Nigeria's name out of his mouth. |
promami:You think you can win someone like Dangote in court even with evidence ? Do you people take us for fools ? You think people don't really know whats happening...... You keep dropping tropes like "Go to court" Or "build your own refinery" We don't have billions doesn't make us stupid. He will rather go to God , than go to court. |
Rebelutionary:You have been exposed. you have met someone who doesn't worship money Using financial might to bully a man for his opinion makes you feel strong. You dont want us to mention God because you know......Thats one place your billions dont matter, at all. |
JuanDeDios: There are so many of them. They should flush them out and seize all their assets. |
integrity16: He was threatened. He read that statement under duress He was threatened with physical and financial harm |
KobolanderSegun: LMAO Another money worshiper. |
obrian888:Everybody, i dont care, Tinubu, his son, his wife all of them should have stolen assets seized and auctioned. |
Pointnoire:We have had bullies like Dangote in the past. He wont be the last...... Na only Billions e get He is not God. |
