ViceGovernor: President Tinubu is not a fool. He wont sack him We are not going to hand over the energy supply in Nigeria to one man. We are not all as stupid as you think |
Lukuluku69:Thats not true, USA imports Petrol, imports crude oil. This has not killed local production. That argument is moot, we import a lot of stuff in Nigeria. Dangote should produce cheaper fuel and he will exterminate the competition, but not by trying to Levy the importers. |
Business vs. Cartel A business is built by competing. It creates value by offering better products, prices, or services, and it survives only as long as customers freely choose it. Regulation is accepted as part of the social contract, and failure is always possible. A cartel is built by eliminating competition. It seeks profit through control, collusion, intimidation, regulatory capture, or barriers that prevent others from entering the market. Regulation is treated as an enemy, not a safeguard. The line between them is crossed the moment success depends not on winning customers, but on silencing competitors and bending the rules. #NIGERIANS STAND WITH FAROUK AHMED. |
Probe everybody too. Even selective probing is corruption |
Mercury12:Only God can take him down. |
Mercury12: Hahahahahaha e pain you !!! Dangote might have all the money in the world But this Farouk guy is 100x more cerebral than him. |
This is among the most refined responses I’ve encountered in quite some time. It clarifies why Farouk Ahmed places such deliberate emphasis on educating his children. Education is a form of permanent sovereignty: when the mind is trained, oppression loses its leverage—even in the absence of great wealth. What we’re witnessing is not chaos, but a method: *A wild and spurious allegation is introduced. *It attracts a public brickbat, loud and emotionally charged. *Then, the serious mind steps back—to dispassionately distill the issues. That discipline is power. When Dauda Kahutu Rarara sang “turanchi ko, turawa” in Omo-Ologo, this is precisely the subtext he was pointing to: not colonial nostalgia, but mental posture. The difference between reacting and reasoning. Between noise and navigation. Education doesn’t merely inform; it inoculates.

ruffhandu:You tried with your answers, but i am impressed with Farouk Ahmeds response especially when he addressed it as "BRICKBAT" and said the issues will be "DISTILLED".......That guy used very good word play. ![]() |
Vifx:Even the USA imports from other countries, both crude oil and petrol They also produce locally. The day Nigeria gives their energy supply to a monopoly the country is finished. |
In the United States, no private refiner can impose a levy or structurally push fuel prices higher through policy capture. Pricing is constrained by antitrust law (Sherman & Clayton Acts), independent regulators, and multiple competing refiners/importers. Any attempt by a dominant player to engineer price hikes would trigger FTC/DOJ scrutiny, class actions, and political backlash. Regulators are insulated from corporate pressure, and taxes/fees must pass Congress, not back-channel negotiations. In Nigeria, our system is still transitioning post-subsidy, with fewer large players and fragile logistics. That concentration makes regulatory independence crucial. Blocking a 15% levy that would spike prices protects consumers from inflation shocks, transport cost cascades, and monopoly-style pricing, exactly the role U.S. regulators play by default. The U.S. protects citizens through competition law + institutional firewalls. Nigeria’s rejection of the levy mirrors that logic: regulation over commercial power to prevent price abuse during a vulnerable transition. Nigerian senate needs to give petroleum regulators such as NMDPRA CEO. 100% immunity. Energy regulation should not be toyed with. Its affects the whole country, every single person depends on energy in one form or the other. They should not be railroaded or bamboozled |
maasoap:America makes Ford and Chevrolet It still imports Japanese cars like toyota It imports British cars like rolls royce It imports Swedish cars like volvo Thats whats called a free market, when all these people compete, the price is lower for the consumer. Thats what we need to happen in our petrol sector. |
Sheuns:If you were smart, you would know 5 million dollars is not an employee...... |
reddingtonblack:They have weaponized poverty in Nigeria, Farouk is a civil servant. I dont work for anyone, and i am not looking for a job. I will still pay the $5 million at once. |
wis3:You are online arguing with me, and you know you need money. Arguing with someone who can help your life ? You think Dangote is the only rich man in Nigeria ? |
reddingtonblack:Lol....I can pay the whole school fees for all of Farouk Ahmed's children. Not in 6 years....I can pay it today, all at once. |
Is this man aware that he did not commit the crime ? |
SamuelLoch:Aliko Dangote did business in Nigeria for 35 years plus. But yesterday night while sleeping he found his first corruption case as a vision in his sleep. He woke up this morning and decided to go public, printing the names of Farouk Ahmeds innocent children in the media. He woke up and turned to Sowore this morning. This is the first time he is seeing corruption in Nigeria. When he was receiving subsidized dollars from Emefiele, his judgment told him Emefiele was a saint. When Emefiele's children went to school abroad he didnt see ? When Emefiele imported Toni Braxton to Nigeria to sing and entertain them, and paid her millions in dollars, Dangote did not see it. When Emefiele acquired a 750-Unit Estate in Abuja with stolen government funds. Dangote did not see it. But all of a sudden, Farouk Ahmed is the most corrupt person in Nigeria in less than 24 hours. With Evidence provided by detective Dangote......Hmmmmmmm You have your personal battle with Farouk Ahmed, Dangote is not an anti-corruption czar If he insists that Farouk should be investigated going back 6 years. Dangote too has to be investigated going back 6 years. Both of them, equal treatment. |

The food looks like sacrifice for the gods. |
reddingtonblack:You assume, i dont have money....Let me tell you God has blessed me. I need nothing from Dangote or Farouk. 5 million dollars is chicken change, to me. Dangote should fight his battles alone, dont use Nigerians to fight for him. He just woke up last night to see that Farouk is corrupt ? Then he turned to Sowore this morning.....LMAO You think Nigerians are Dumb. |
Sheuns:Dont let poverty affect your intelligence. If the world has over 3000 billionaires, then definitely we have more millionaires than the 50-60 you mentioned. 5 million dollars is not a lot of money. I would have showed you. But you dont even know the difference between million and billion You said the world has 50-60 millionaires......LOL Even Lagos has more than 50-60 millionaires |
So in Dangote's 35 years of doing business in Nigeria. Its yesterday he woke up and realized the first corrupt public servant in Nigeria And within 24 hours he has turned to a corruption czar !! When he was getting subsidized dollars from Emefiele Did he look at Emefiele with the same scrutiny he is doing to Farouk Ahmed Did he ask Emefiele where his children went to school ? Did he ask Emefiele where he had money to bring Toni Braxton to Nigeria ? Did he ask Emefiele, where he got the money to build 750-Unit Estate in Abuja ? So all of a sudden because he is at loggerheads with NMDPRA CEO Farouk Ahmed Everybody should leave what they are doing and arrest Farouk Ahmed ? The minute Dangote involved his children and published their names, he has lost in the court of public opinion. Farouk Ahmed's wife and children are civilians. Dangote can fight Farouk Ahmed, Man to Man....No need to mention his children Tinubu should extend the Tenure of Farouk Ahmed, I don't know him but he must be doing something right. |
Aristo3146:Lets put it this way. Dangote prioritized his refinery, which is a "private" refinery Farouk prioritized his children. The minute dangote published his Farouk children's names......He has lost the battle in the court of public opinion. If you want to fight me....fight me directly. But my children and my wife are civilians. Never fight a mans wife or children to get at him. |
reddingtonblack: 35 Years of doing business in Nigeria, Dangote just woke up last night to see that Farouk is corrupt ? When Emefiele was giving him subsidized dollars from CBN,he didnt see Emefiele as corrupt ? |
tenpipsperday:EFCC doesnt operate on malicious allegations. 35 Years of doing business in Nigeria, Dangote just woke up last night to see that Farouk is corrupt ? When Emefiele was giving him subsidized dollars from CBN,he didnt see Emefiele as corrupt ? |
Ilefoaye:The money was spend 6 years ago calm down 1$ was 350 naira when the children went to school. |
zoghys: They all got their dollars from Emefiele. Dangote has been in Nigeria for 35 years. He just started seeing corruption last night ? ![]() He should fight his battles alone.......Nigerians are not naive and will not be manipulated. |
Sheuns:3,028 billionaires worldwide as of April 2025 |
Dangote used his Emefiele windfall to build a refinery. Farouk used his own Emefiele windfall to send his children to good schools. |
