I thought Buhari was the worst,it could get
Buhari borrowed, as oil was $30/barrel, COVID reliefs were needed, he had to pay petrol subsidy, he had to pay Forex subsidy and still pay all the salaries.

Tinubu is selling oil at $100/barrel, there is no COVID emergency, he is not paying petrol subsidy,he is not paying Forex subsidy...but he is borrowing far more than the previous regime.

Nigerians should be doing better economically. With the metrics of these present state. I initially thought Tinubu would do better, but if we continue at the current rate...we are headed in Zimbabwe era inflation and currency devaluation.

Thank God Tinubu has paid off all IMF loans borrowed by previous govts.
World bank loan is just $18 billion? shocked
Within 2 years,Tinubu has paid almost $11 billion Nigeria's debts.
He should borrow more if he is using it for the benefit of Nigerians.South Africa owes 5 times the debt of Nigeria
Nigerians shall prosper.

Issue comes when you compare the debt as a portion of the budget. That matters far more since south Africa is able to better leverage its GDP in to a budget for the country

So looking at national budget

South Africa 146 billion dollars
Nigeria 32 billion dollars
Egypt 81 billion dollars

South Africa debt repayments is 21 billion
Nigeria debt repayments is 11 billion
Egypt 41 billion

So even with a high dept to GDP South Africa pays less money as a percentage of its budget to pay it off.
Thank you for the analysis.
Also these countries have major infrastructure to show for these loans
Egypt exports power from their Benbar solar power plant which they built.
Nigeria cannot show one world structure despite all these crazy loans.

Most of the comments here are as a result of financial illetracy.
Talking about loan the first thing to consider is the balance sheet; Asset -liability. When it's positive irrespective of the size of your debt you are good to go
In case of Nigeria Reserves, population and natural resources remain high and far more than 18bil debt being discussed here.
Check the loan of other African countries to their population, you realise Nigeria is doing well. Nigeria debt is far lower when you consider total debt off Africa apart from world bank
Moreover most the loan are attached to verifiable project like East west road, railway, coastal road and Sokoto-badagry road
Why do you think the rating institutions continue rating Nigeria higher

Have you been to Egypt and South Africa.
Do you know Nigerians go to Egypt and South Africa for Healthcare ?
Do you know the unemployment rate in Egypt and South Africa ?
Egypt has a multi-billion-dollar high-speed rail network connecting the Red Sea to the Mediterranean.
South Africa: Uses capital to support advanced manufacturing sectors, automotive industrial parks (which supply global brands like BMW, Ford, and VW), and solid mineral beneficiation plants.

Egypt: Has built massive industrial cities and specialized economic zones (like the SCZone) focusing on textile manufacturing, green hydrogen projects, and chemicals.
Egypt: Utilized loans to transform itself from an energy-deficit nation into an electricity exporter. It built the massive Benban Solar Park (one of the largest solar installations in the world)

A vast portion of Nigeria’s borrowing has gone toward patching fiscal deficits or funding recurrent state budgets rather than executing highly integrated, economy-wide mega-projects.
Nigeria lacks Debt productivity....Tell me what Tinubu has done with all that debt, that's benefiting Nigerians en masse ?

Get some education, boy.

No, emergency care is not free in the United States. While hospitals are legally required to stabilize you in a life-threatening situation regardless of your ability to pay, you will be billed for the services afterward.

Key Facts About Emergency Care:Federal Law (EMTALA):
Under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act, U.S. hospitals must evaluate and stabilize you during an emergency, even if you are uninsured or cannot pay.

The Billing Reality: Once you are stabilized, you will receive a bill for the care, tests, and hospitalization. Out-of-pocket costs can be extremely high without insurance.

Ambulance Rides: Ambulance services are separate from hospital bills and are frequently costly.
You are welcome, I am always happy to educate your type.

PoliticsFive African Countries Top World Bank Borrowers, Owing $67.8 Billion by malali(op): 2:08am On May 26
Five African countries rank among the world’s top 10 borrowers from the World Bank’s concessional lending arm, collectively accounting for $67.8 billion in outstanding debt, according to new data on global exposure patterns.

Five African countries are among the world's top 10 borrowers from the World Bank’s concessional lending arm (IDA), together owing $67.8 billion.
IDA provides low-interest or interest-free loans and grants to the poorest countries for development projects like infrastructure, health, and education.
Nigeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Ghana are Africa's top IDA borrowers, with Nigeria alone owing $18.5 billion.
African countries account for nearly a third of the total exposure among the top 10 IDA borrowers, reflecting both their growth potential and reliance on concessional finance.

African economies continue to feature prominently in the World Bank’s concessional lending architecture, with new data on International Development Association (IDA) exposure highlighting both their financing dependence and their centrality in global development flows.

The International Development Association (IDA) is the World Bank’s arm that provides low-interest or interest-free loans and grants to the world’s poorest countries.

Its goal is to help these economies fund essential development projects such as infrastructure, health, education, and poverty reduction programs, using long repayment periods and highly concessional terms to ease debt pressure.

According to the IDA's Quarterly Financial Statements dated March 31, 2026 (Unaudited), outstanding exposure under the World Bank’s concessional lending arm reached $230.8 billion across the top 10 borrowing countries, with lending heavily concentrated in a narrow set of emerging and developing economies.

African borrowers feature prominently in this mix, with five countries alone accounting for 29.4% ($67.8 billion) of the top-10 total—representing nearly half of that group’s combined exposure and about one-third of the overall concessional loan book.

Africa’s presence is particularly notable, with five countries which include Nigeria,
Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Ghana, ranking among the top 10 global borrowers.

Nigeria leads the continent with $18.5 billion in outstanding IDA exposure, reflecting its persistent infrastructure financing needs and demographic pressures.

Ethiopia follows closely at $14.4 billion, continuing to rely heavily on concessional funding amid ongoing macroeconomic adjustments.

Tanzania and Kenya remain significant borrowers at $14.3 billion and $13.2 billion respectively, while Ghana rounds out Africa’s representation with $7.4 billion.

Taken together, these five African economies account for nearly a third of total exposure among the top 10 borrowers, reinforcing the continent’s dual role as both a high-growth frontier and a major recipient of development finance.

The broader ranking is led by Bangladesh and Pakistan, while India, Vietnam, and Ukraine also feature prominently, reflecting a geographically diverse but highly concentrated lending portfolio.

The concentration of lending within a handful of countries highlights both opportunity and vulnerability in the global development finance system,
where large borrowers shape portfolio risk while also anchoring long-term infrastructure and social investment pipelines.

Nigerians are suffering and in dire need of well paying jobs, Tinubu is building roads from Sokoto to Badagry.

Economically non viable projects with borrowed loans.

He is insulating himself by asking all the governors to do consensus selection of candidates and promise all the opposition bribe positions in boards and parastatal in the future, that way he can silence state level opposition around the whole country.

Nigeria has borrowed close to a 100 billion dollars in 3 years. No subsidies, oil prices well over budget expectations

While Buhari only borrowed 30 billion dollars 8 years, with covid, poor oil revenue, paying petrol and forex subsidy.

All commercial stores should have a contract with waste management companies.

All estates should have waste management contractors, in their service charge. The local government/Councillor/ward should supervise and enforce adherence.

Keep trying many different tactics, eventually one will work. There are more civilised countries with higher waste products, yet disposal is not a problem.

Its looks like some form of allergic dermatoses

The distribution is whats surprising me, what does he wear or carry that surrounds that circular region of his arm ?

I dont think its fungal, he is young and If he is not immunocompromised, there shouldn't be a fungal dermatoses that impressive on it.

My guess is allergy. You have to find the allergen. It might be bathing soap ? clothes washing soap ? body cream ? There is something touching his skin , the skin doesn't like.

Stop applying any medicinal cream, Just use ordinary baby soap, change the current soap, look for a hypoallergenic soap (A lot of baby soaps are hypoallergenic). Dont use medicated soap, just plain soap.

Then cover it with Vaseline, just plain Vaseline. (If its itchy add 1% hydrocortisone cream, just a pinch to Vaseline). It will go slowly, don't scrape it or peel it, it will make it worse.

Also try and find the allergic substance.

There is nowhere in the world this is done.

Issue import licenses to multiple fuel importers, enforce strict guardrails.

Anybody violates any of these guardrails retrieve the license and give it to someone else.

By the time we show violators will be dealt with, we will get fuel at cheapest prices due to healthy competition.
PoliticsRe: Defections Hit Apc, Pdp As Lawmakers, Politicians Join Adc, Ndc by malali: 8:25am On May 08
Defections are picking up speed, while some states quietly stall on announcing “consensus candidates” even though decisions are already largely made at the top.

The delay is keeping aspirants in limbo, but the message is clear: those planning to switch camps should move early, before party structures fully lock in their candidates.

Timing, not just ambition, is becoming the deciding factor.
PoliticsRe: Senate Rescinds Tenure Restriction For Presiding Officers by malali:
What was illegal under military rule is quietly being normalized again under civilian packaging.

“Consensus” now means a few party insiders and governors deciding for millions of citizens.

“Zoning” Once a party arrangement , is increasingly treated like a constitutional entitlement, where competence becomes secondary to “our turn,” even when governance fails.

And a creeping "one-party dominance", fueled by defections, state influence, and political patronage, weakens the very essence of democracy: credible opposition and accountability.

Put together, it starts looking less like healthy democracy and more like a polished civilian version of the old military era , where leaders were selected, power rotated by elite agreement, and dissenting voices were politically isolated.

Different uniforms. Similar instincts.
That’s why many Nigerians feel echoes of the Abacha/IBB era beneath today’s democratic branding.

Foreign AffairsNigerian Arrested By ICE Agents In America- Defended By Mob Action (Photos). by malali(op): 4:43am On May 04
NYC hospital mob was defending illegal migrant with alleged violent, drug past

The anti-ICE mob violently protesting outside a Brooklyn hospital Saturday was rallying in defense of an illegal migrant previously arrested for assault and drug possession, officials told The Post on Sunday.

Chidozie Wilson Okeke of Nigeria entered the US on a tourist visa Aug. 27, 2023, and was supposed to pack up and go back home Feb. 26, 2024 — but instead illegally stayed, a rep for the US Department of Homeland Security told The Post.

Okeke, who was arrested at some point for assault and criminal drug possession, landed on the radar of Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, who tracked him down Saturday.

“During his arrest, Okeke refused to comply with officers’ lawful commands to exit the vehicle and weaponized his vehicle to attempt to hit ICE officers,” the DHS representative said. “Okeke became physically combative, attempting to punch and elbow ICE officers.

“Our officers followed their training and used the minimum amount of force necessary to make the arrest.”

Okeke claimed he needed medical attention, so the agents brought him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Bushwick to be checked out, DHS said.

There, the illegal migrant refused to comply with staff, “throwing himself to the floor and screaming,” the agency said. He was eventually medically cleared to leave the hospital.

Anti-ICE protesters meanwhile somehow got wind that Okeke was in ICE custody at the hospital, with a mob of about 200 showing up there to try to stop the agents from leaving with Okeke.

The NYPD was called to the scene shortly before 10:30 p.m. to restore order and found the rowdy crowd blocking hospital exits and wreaking havoc in the neighborhood — prompting caught-on-video clashes between the cops and the crowd.

Police arrested nine demonstrators as ICE struggled to get Okeke into an SUV and whisk him off.

“The protesters damaged several ICE vehicles and assaulted ICE officers, resulting in minor injuries to the officers,” the DHS representative said. “Assaulting law enforcement is a felony and crime.”

The protesters arrested included out-of-state agitators from as far off as Wisconsin and New Hampshire.

The mob finally dispersed around 2:45 a.m. Sunday after Okeke was taken away.

“If the NYPD wasn’t there to keep the peace, God knows what these ICE agents would have done,” a law-enforcement source said Sunday.
