My! So Norway operates the same difficulty level as Germany. Their way of making you pay for the free education. How saddist of these European Institutions! Little wonder we never hear of Nigerians doing exploits and breaking records in these countries. After my MS, na to port to US or Canada straight go flex with better job that will pay me good money for the rigorousity of the academics.

Well, it's been nice over here since I landed on the 8th Aug. Much calmer and organised kind of life compared to the chaos I lived with in lagos. The school system is on point, transportation on point, everything is made easy for you here but u must follow the rules and do away the usual Nigerian habit of cutting corners.
For the weather, it's kind of cold for summer, as low as 9-19'c in Stavanger. But you'll definitely adapt. 11'c with rain and high winds greeted me at Stavanger airport and it wasn't pleasant on my body even with Jacket. But after a few days, I go out with just t-shirt.
Things are very expensive here, at first you'll be converting to naira and screaming at the prices. But you'll get used to it over time.
As you know, the Oil industry is still asleep worldwide for now, so we can only hope prices pick up soon which in turn opens the job Market.
USN still requires English testing, Either IELTS or TOEFL.

I now got more scared at this point cos I have read of many ppl that were denied after medicals.
My Heartbeat after this period increased.
Approval mail wasnt coming early as most ppl get it so I got terrified daily.
On Feb 19,2016 at 11.07am: Approval Mail from CIC.
I took special lessons from posts by Seiraries,HayqinsbFX,TheSoj,Tnuola and some other names I cant remember .

MSc Chemical Engineering,Dalhousie Univ.
First Degree was also Chem Engr.

Applications fee is 185 cad. However, the total amount in naira depends on the rate fixed by the banks card you will be using to make payment.
If using heritage bank today, you will be paying 244.6/1 cnd.

I got approval mail today.. passport has been dispatched.

I applied to Carleton in April, received my offer in November.

Sponsor is my company. But I paid 1 year tuition fees with my money (I showed that in my application ) and had a balance of about 2.5M in my personal account... I earlier applied to conestoga college before, Robotics and Industrial Automation.

Unfortunately that has become normal now, go through some posts here and see the amount of junk people submit and half are forged documents. The processing time takes longer because some Nigerians go to extra length trying to cheat the system, so many documents have to be verified.

You see people submitting forged bank statement and come here to give God the credit.

Well....when you apply for a study leave it should be addressed to your company and not the embassy. Your company approves your study leave and issues you an approval for study leave endorsed by the managing director or whoever is in charge.

I work in a government agency and I'm currently on a study leave. I submitted my letter of approval for study leave in my application and it was not addressed to the embassy. Introductory letter from your company is what you address to the embassy. Study leave letter is to the MD/DG of your company.
Just my opinion....

Here's an idea: To get a study leave letter sample, you could look through the document list of other people on this thread and PM whoever's list contains a study letter.

In any case, here are my two cents for a study leave letter addressed to the embassy. Note that this is just a suggestion and you will customize it to your situation.

First paragraph:
Company states the purpose of the letter (i.e. study leave for John Doe, who has been working for us for X years as a blah blah). Company describes the business they are into, your role in that business, and the significance of what you do for them.

Second paragraph:
Company describes why they are giving you a study leave (e.g. giving John Doe a study leave because he expressed interest pursuing MSc degree in blah blah which we believe would help our business in ABC area when he comes back.). Company says nice things about your contributions to the company and how exactly they think your study leave would help fill a skills gap that they are currently having. Company explains the terms of the leave (i.e. paid or unpaid? length of the leave? etc... the company should be explicit and precise about the terms of the leave).

Third paragraph:
Company says more nice (but realistic) things about you and what role you would be coming back to when you are back from Canada. i.e. same role? will you be promoted? (fyi, they don't have to discuss this if they don't want to... they just have to explain what general area of work they anticipate using your skills in when you come back...).

Fourth paragraph:
Company wishes you the best and endorses your visa application to the embassy.

PS: This is just a skeleton that you should add more to and customize to your own peculiar situation.

If the parent (owner of property) is alive you will need evidence that the property has been transferred to you. A will is the most common document to prove this and can easily be gotten if parent is alive and willing to transfer the property.
If deceased, and the parent died intestate (without a will), you'll need to follow a long process involving the probate court to transfer the property. It's a long process and obviously beats the objective in focus here.
There's such a document as an "affidavit of heirship" however, which a lawyer can help you prepare provided there are no contending parties to the property in question and a significant 'actor' (mother, father or relevant family) is willing to depose to the affidavit and establish your claim to the property.
Kindly consult a lawyer for more assistance.

P.S- It should be notarised by a Commissioner for Oaths at a Court and not a Notary public.

Pls house am new here, I will like to know if I can apply to the embassy by January or Feb. I course will resume by Sept 2016 but I total fee is 14600 which my school told me to make half payment but I made a payment of 10000CAD to balance 4600 during second semester and I still ve 1.8m in my own personal account which I run regularly. My uncle and my sis are willingly to sponsor me with both having close to 50m in there account in total. All I need to knw is Jan not to early since school resumes in sept....pls opinion is needed...ASAP
