Hello everyone ,

Please has anyone here who had their biometric between 3-5 August for skilled worker visa received their decision/ passport?.

My employment in the Uk should have started on the 5th of September and I stated it there as my travel date during application.

I was told decision has been made since 12/8/22. Don’t know why they aren’t releasing passport.

Is there any advise that can help at this moment? Please!

I did my biometrics on the 5th of August, got an NSF email on the same 12 that your decision was taken and it entered my spam (story for another day as I didn't see it till 10 days later). But eventually got my visa on the 29th for myself and my dependents 2 days later.
If it's NHS, there's an email that's dedicated to incoming NHS staff on UKVI website. Maybe send them a mail. I did as my start date is/was also 5th September. Also check to see if your office can chase up for you.
I pray it is released soon.

You're right, but as we all know so many factors will influence a man's decision, cost being one of the primary.

You can start learning independently with the resources on this thread. Even a tutor can only do so much. The bulk of the work is the learner's.

Yes. TCF is paper based at PH, while TEF is computer based.

Thanks for your response. Though I can't find the post you referred to. Also as I have not practiced in a diagnostic lab in the last 5 years which is a requirement for MLT, I may not be qualified for that. I'm very grateful for your response.

Age : 38
IELTS LRWS: 9,9,7.5,7.5 (unfortunately didn't remark as my target was Canadian PR).
IST degree AAU Ekpoma (Medical Laboratory Science) 2005
2nd degree : UK uni. 2013
Experience 2017 - present university lecturer.
Jan 2014 - Jan 2015 Research scientist at a research institute
Nov 2011 - august 2012 lab scientist.
Other experiences are older than 10 years.
I don't think I can assess as a medical laboratory technician or scientist with these.

I have a positive assessment for University lecturer. No PGDE no PhD.
M.A. plus 9.5 years as at the time of assessment. One year was deducted and I have over 8 years according to them.

Thanks for your feedback, please any idea why one year was deducted for you? I started lecturinging about 2 years after my MSc but don't have as many years experience as you do so I need as many years as possible. Also, have you made any progress so far post the positive assessment if you don't mind sharing. Finally, was it your school that sent the certificate or you sent it separately from the transcript. Thanks.

Since it's a UK university, you may want to check if you can share your transcript electronically to WES. Mine did at zero cost to me. Some other schools use Digitary or Gradintel or so. You save delivery and transcript charges this way

I'm so sorry I missed this but if you still need answers.
1. Yes IDP conducts exams now. I wrote with them. You book online and pay online via bank app or go and pay in the bank. Upload passport data page, all onlineThey outline all the processes quote succinctly. Their office address is only for collection of results. They usually do the exams at bon sunshine hotel, Presidential Road.

2. IDP does only paper based in Enugu for now.
Tho I heard BC does computer based but I'm not sure.
3. From what I heard, not yet.

Thank you pointing this out. I really appreciate.

No worries. They will definitely send emails within the exam week to confirm. For the speaking, the earlier you get there, the earlier you can go home. They don't necessarily keep to time but do first come, first served. Also, on LWR day, don't be quick to enter the hall o. You won't be allowed out for anything till after the listening test. People like me that entered by 7.30 stayed for more than 2 hours before exam started, on a cold morning with AC and could only go and pee after 2.30hours.

Thank you so much.. in the mail they sent to me, they were mentioning 41 garden avenue, a place that lead to the middle of the road on Google maps.

If you are writing with IDP, 41 Garden avenue ie the FCMB on Okpara avenue is their result collection centre while Bon Sunshine hotel on Presidential Road is their test center. The Park Avenue address is for British Council. Be guided.

I guess you would have to be patient. It's written periodically so whenever borders are open, the opportunity will be there. They will probably do more exams to mop up as I'm sure they are aware of the situation.

Good morning guys.
I tried sending my transcript accroas to WES which was successful and got the screenshot below.

Please did your Bsc transcript get there before the 10th of March, mine did on the 12th and still showing not received.
For your certificate part, hellofax can be used to send it. Write your WES reference number on a photocopy and fax it to them.

I think you need to be very specific about online tutors and exactly what you need from them. Are you a beginner? What exactly do you need online help with?

I'm very much a beginner so I need help in all the aspects. So I would like intensive lessons.
Already started with Michel Thomas foundation CDs as suggested earlier up on the thread but I think I may need more help.

Please I got feedback from WES that my transcript and statement of result were not received despite acknowledging to have received my documents from courier (UPS). I did direct entry to university but I did not send my OND transcript, could this be reason why my b.sc transcript and statement of result were not received?
