Although, like they say, everybody with their own opinion.

But I believe avoiding or not escalating situations to violence is the best. And even if it does, it better to just leave the scene and let sleeping dog lie.

Yes, I know as human being, and as a man... Our ego might feel bruise, and we want to retaliate to satisfy that ego, but think about the result of your actions and how it would affect you before you make the move.

The best that would happen is you attack back successfully, and feel great, but the worse is you attack or simply just push the person, they collapse, and pass to the great beyond from there 😂,

At that time, nobody will remember that you were defending yourself, the story becomes you push as killed someone. All your anger, ego, and everything becomes regret, "if I have known, I wouldn't have."

Or the person counter attack with a weapon or fatally injures you.

So what I'm trying to say is let's be guided, some people are just working dead moving around.

Your freedom is much important that your ego
I agreed with your assertation but "still on still" if i nor retaliate e go turn police/court case. The aggressor must receive punishment.

I remember when I just got married and madam was pregnant, cannot remember what happened but she landed me a slap, Omo she received one back and almost a heavy punch that luckily missed her, Omo you cannot imagine the shock on her face. She went to the balcony and remained there all day crying. Truth of the matter is that I had to draw a red line to define the marriage that you do not under any circumstances try that rubbish ever again with me, and it has never happened till date 23 years later.
I will not raise my hands against any woman and non should do the same to me, if not, you will learn the hard way.
Gbam!! Raising your hand to slap me na grounds for immediate seperation if you are wife/girlfriend. If i nor dey friend you, na return to sender straight!!

Smh.

2023 is the year that you started counting our victory in politics. Indomie generation.

You are not going to learn this way. We keep winning and when our victory is scuttled or stolen, we go back to the drawing board, learn from our mistakes then come back and win again.

Even when we decided under Late Sage, to be in opppsition, we still won for Nigeria and Nigerians.

2023 and 2027 victory plans were paired together.
Ogbeni which one is "our" victory?? Who do you think you are? Does Tinubu know that you even exist? You nor get any victory because you are inconsequential as far as Nigeria is concerned. At best you are just an ordinary Nigerian like the rest of us on Nairaland

I bought land in a developing area at the beginning of the year 2025, within 1 year the cost of the land has doubled. To be honest buying land to keep is not easy. Yes it appreciates over time but there is the constant worry of what if something like dispute start??
If land case enter court e fit take 25 years to finish di case.

And now insecurity is a also a thing of the past ba? The kidnapped victims in Oyo state have been released ba? It is like you don't know what the president's title is. Or electricity issues has been fixed? Remember "if i don't fix the power issue in Nigeria please don't vote for me in 2027"

I detest Tinubu and his government...But as it stands, only death can stop him from a 2nd term...

Atiku, Obi and Jonathan are all working against themselves to split their votes, leaving Tinubu to coast to victory
So as you dey now, you will vote for APC?

Democracy came: freedom of speech destroyed us, no fear in posting things that erode values on social media , no one fears anyone. A home that has no one to be feared becomes shattered Values declined badly, respects gone, love lost, humanity disappeared, societal values nosedived, lives became worthless, youths reasoning eroded, citizens only direct their anger's towards just a section leaving others- focused solely of the federal while the stage governors who are stakeholders in the creation and abhorring of the problems are neglected,

Love for money increases, patriotism died
Finally ,' selfishness and lack of deep reasoning has given us less effective leadership and less virile followership.
We are just starting except the youths change there's no future.
Sad but true, despite the fact that the government is not living up to expectation. The citizenry na real wahala. I don't want to believe that there is no hope for Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: What Happened To The Nigeria We Once Knew? by Mandem05: 5:14am On May 29
Rapmoney:
Times and seasons have past. In these present times, It looks like each day in Nigeria comes with its own series of complexities, distractions, and troubles. Sometimes, I look back with an immeasurable level of nostalgic feelings to how life used to be in the 80s and 90s. I don't really call people born in those eras millennials, I call them the last set of people who witnessed a peaceful and socially balanced Nigeria.

Even though those eras were mostly characterized by military administrations, we still had a decent level of sanity in the society.

SECURITY: In the 80s and 90s, you could literally travel from Warri to Kaduna, without knowing anyone, and still find a decent place to sleep. A young man could easily travel from Akure to Owerri, without knowing anyone, and still find someone who would assist with accommodation.

Today, Nigerians cannot travel from one part of the country to another without praying and fasting. In these times, travelling by night is like a suicide mission. Something we used to do previously. We used to move from Warri to Bauchi on night buses from 1993 to 1997. In 1999, Brazilian ex-football star, Ronadinho Gaucho and his teammates toured northern Nigeria. Can that happen today?

SOCIAL LIFE AND EDUCATION: Before the advent of kidnapping, organ harvesting, internet fraud, etc, young people had a better social life. Today, people are extra careful with one another. We have heard and seen too many cases of dismembered bodies of young women in gutters, drainages, septic tanks, and on roadsides.

The things we place value on today is sometimes shocking. From the early 90s to the early part of 2000s, it was a milestone to aspire and gain admission to study in the university. Today, it is a milestone to purchase a 50,000,000 Naira Benz at the age of 17, with no known source of income.

The most lethal problems of Nigeria are multifaceted. They cut across religion, ethnicity, value system, culture, and both the old and the young in the society. And like I stated initially, as the days roll by, the demons eating into the fabric of the society multiply.

If we could have a generation of old people who are not sympathetic towards the young and the unborn generations, and a set of young people who neither understand their collective roles in the society nor concerned about real changes in the system, I wonder what the future generations would turn out to be.
This is a very good question.

Getting more people to vote against Tinubu is not the problem. The problem is how to make the votes count as one. Why is nobody seeing this after what happened in 2023?
Tinubu won this election the moment PO left ADC.
It is possible to make the votes count. The problem is that Nigerians are not ready to put in the work required for it to be possible that their votes would count in 2027. When Nigerians are ready dey will fight for the change dey deserve.

Wallade:
Dangote Refinery has been orchestrating a monopoly in the downstream sector abinitio. That was a major component of his strategy and he planned to replicate the control that NNPC had on the petroleum marketing ndustry for years.

I am not surprised that he orchestrated the removal of the formal NMDPRA boss and he has been trying to impose Dangote Refinery as the sole supplier of petroleum products in Nigeria, at ridiculous prices with the believe that Nigerians would have no option.
But Dangote has not prevented NNPC from fixing the 4 refineries they have so your argument is baseless. Dangote cannot impose anything on Nigerians. The fact that Dangote refinery is the only major functioning refinery in Nigeria is not Dangote's fault.
