Romance › Re: Never Date or Marry A Nigerian Nurse by Mandem05: 5:09am On Sep 22, 2022 |
chachanga: You do realize how bleeped the Nigerian public service is, right?! Apart from bad leadership that everyone cries about when it's convenient, who else would've tanked the public service that if not the workforce?! Would demons have materialized from the nether realms to do it or aliens from Pluto?! No!!!
I was consistently mismanaged in that same useless pit of hell for over 4yrs while still in Naija. I still have friends, relatives and old associates in that town. Funny I and someone were even rehashing these kinds of tales from the past and we still drifted on to how absolutely beastly Nurses and cranky Docs in Nigeria come over here and start behaving. I was sharing experiences with someone in the UK, mind you.
They come out here and shape up, why? 1. Industry Certifications based on training and retraining with ethics, discipline and best practices constantly reiterated all through...
2. Rigid Workplace Standards to adhere to erring more on the side of the humane service delivery than revenue generation models obtainable in Nigeria
3. Constant Monitoring
4. Regulations
5. High Consumer Protection Rights entrenched in and guaranteed by the law. How many dozens of times have we read of cases of mismanaged patients in Nigerian hospitals who never get justice? I was zoned to an evil consultant who abandoned consulting me just because I didn't go doing an expensive diagnostics procedure in a Centre he wrote almost 2 States away. I instantly became his enemy for not going there and netting him a referral commission. And I don't know if they're still running that policy but I wasn't allowed to see another Consultant Surgeon. Once you get sent to their SOpC (Surgical Outpatient Clinic), the Consultant who starts with you must keep being the one seeing you till eternity. They don't swap files. God help you if you go inside the the consulting room to find you're being seen by some Dr. whose girlfriend you took or daughter you screwed, you're doomed! Yeh, that same FMC.
Bad systems do not only empower wicked people, but they also produce more bad eggs and frustrate good people till some of them go rotten. Nigerian systems don't produce saints presently. And you'd probably faint to hear the travails of the truly conscientious saints in there in their bid to stay noble. The rest don't just give a flipping fck.
If we're gonna be talking about this at all, i think we should be having an issues based convo with focus on causes and effects, problems and solutions, rather than sentimentally trying to pick sides on generalization OR wondering how such a fantastically and generally corrupt system couldn't, in most ways, now be peopled by unsavory souls. We should be busy thinking solutions especially if we're still interested in heading back to Naija some day, as change makers.
I think we should be more interested in how the general Nigeria systemic anomalies and endemic corruption effect will not overwhelm their sense of humaneness and professionalism. If they were happy, they wouldn't be the same ones striking up and down. Unhappy people don't generally treat others better than they are. This is on point. Unfortunately a lot of japariees do not see themselves coming back to be "change makers" they would rather remain where they are as second class citizens. |

She deserved this one. Na wao!! |

virginprincess: So because your friend gave your wife money you just concluded that she is cheating on you without any concrete evidence ,nawa for some men sha, anyway, what i see there is that you never trusted your wife from the onset if not why would you just conclude that she's cheating on you . Nne the man is right to be curious o. The fact that neither of them can explain current events means that there is more to the situation. This is not about trusting her from the onset. All the wife needs to do is answer the 2 pertinent questions, which are. 1. Why did his friend send money to her account. 2. Why did she not disclose that his friend sent her money? |

Foodforthought: I was thinking the same thing. Like over 200,000 persons in Osun State are still rooting for APC after the disaster of the last few years? Omo e reach to shock person. Me I am happy for 2 reasons. Minimal violence and seemingly fair electoral process in the Osun State election. |

onatisi: Who is the younger person you feel can take over ? Let's not deceive ourselves , we all know peter obi cannot win this election ,even obi himself knows. He is not working for this presidency but for next elections that is if he keeps up the momentum. Presidential election is not something you just wake up 6 me 7 months to election and say you want to win. FOR A GOOD NEUTRAL PERSON TO WIN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN NIGERIA, HE IR SHE NEEDS TO STRT THE WORK LIKE 4 YEARS BEFORE. People would have known him,he would have interacted with all groups round the nation in all states . This is not something social media can do in 8months . Tinubu has been planning his presidential campaign for the past 12 years if not more ,since the time of gej second term ,reason why he planned to be buhari vice president, that didn't work out, then he waited and planned for another 8 years through buhari tenure . Look at atiku ,he has been on this journey for over 16yrs since the time of obj second term. And yet despite their long planning ,it is not sure for them that they will win. Please don't bring negative energy to our movement. You dey see bad market and you are saying that Nigerians should buy bad market because they have been chasing the presidency for years. Does that even make any sense to you? |

sleek214: Best option for Atiku. Wike was not just an option. Spent the better part of the primaries campaign abusing Atiku and some other PDP aspirants. He was just too arrogant and proud. No manifesto just shouting "Gimme the ticket, gimme power) not a presidential figure. He needs to learn how to talk and address people. If you were to be in Atiku's shoes, am very sure you won't pick Wike as a running mate besides Wike is not loved in the Muslim north. Best option how kwa? Okowa has not performed a governor so he brings nothing to the table for Atiku so this ticket is dead on arrival!!! PDP will losethe presidential election of 2023. |

Politics › Re: APC Has No Governorship Candidate In Akwa Ibom - INEC Insists by Mandem05: 7:58am On Jun 17, 2022 |
Odidigboigbo: Is it INEC that told APC not to play by the rules? The simple rules is that INEC must monitor the primary, you have to produce evidence that INEC monitor the primary before you accused them, the REC reported how him and the commissioner of police waited till 10:30pm without seeing anyone at the venue if the exercise, he went further to explain how Chairman of APC electoral panel called to informed him that he has been hold hostage and there is confusion of the actual venue of the primaries, and hence the needs of the primaries to be postponed, which he will informed him later only to wake up and they announced someone as candidate. Who should be blamed in this scenario? Don't mind people that have this mindset. They are not used to things being done the right way. |

[quote author=stunnert post=105334611]I remember that year the company I was working with lodged me in one of those fancy hotels in Ikeja. On my last night there I had a bottle of big stout and nkowbi at the bar which had a good view of the reception, where I saw one lady with super super extra big mighty ass checked in one the rooms which happened to be opposite mine. I finished my drink and left for my room, I was just about to sleep around 10pm when I heard a knock on my door, I got up and checked thru the peephole and it was the big ass lady I saw, I opened the door and was about to ask wtf she wants at that time when she quickly apologized and introduced herself, I notices she was probably in her 60's, she the told me her AC wasn't working and the hotel technician wasn't around to fit it and all other rooms have been booked and if she could spend the night in my room, saying she wouldn't mind crashing on the floor. I was about to say No when I saw that ass again, I then allowed her in and told her she could sleep on the bed and I would sleep on the floor but she didn't agree and we both agree to both sleep on the bed, immediately we got in bed she asked me if I could cuddle her from behind, I actually tried to do just that but dick too stubborn and when she realized I was having a hard on she grabbed and one thing led to that other and we ended fvcking for four good rounds.
We both left the next day, we still keep in touch tho and still manage to fix match once in a while where we fvck our brains out[/quote. See if una see the 60 year ace I dey catch cruise with now ehn, una go wan enter. |
