BusinessBusiness To Start With 1million In Nigeria by Manicle(op):
Personally, I believe if you want to thrive in business in Nigeria with such amount of money, your concern should be more of the understanding of the market first. This will give you a hint to making the right decision.

I say this because there are several businesses you can invest in with one million naira. You'll find a lot of them on the internet. If you ask me, I'd say Real Estate, Fabrics and Agriculture stand out among them. You can have a breakdown on how to go about it as I provide tips and business plan for all of them.

But I insist you read on 17 Things to consider before starting a business in Nigeria (http://manicle..com/2020/02/17-things-to-consider-before-starting.html?m=1)
It will be of great help and will give you the wisdom to decide among several options, the business to venture into. Because, frankly speaking, it's easier to start a business than to maintain a business for more than 5years.

Statistics has shown that 90% of businesses
close down in the first 5years and only 1% of the remaining 10% survive the first 10years. So, choosing wisely will go a long way to save you from loosing a lot of money to wrong business.

Business17 Things To Consider Before Starting A Business In Nigeria by Manicle(op):
In this blog post is a collection of instructions born out of lessons learnt from my 6 years experience of failure and success in business.

In a nutshell, I hate too many theories and little practical experiences. So you can trust what you are about to read. Let's get to work.

17 Things to consider before starting a business in Nigeria

1 Understand the business Idea

The first thing to do before starting a business in Nigeria is to have a good understanding of the business idea you want to start. Note that business is not done in isolation. You will talk to people about your business, and at least prove to people that your business is worth patronizing. People are however convinced to the extent that you are convinced about what you are trying to sell to them. So, knowing your business well is key. It helps you stand bold and sound convincing to your investors and customers.

Now, to balance it, not that I didn't say you must have a TOTALLY CLEAR understanding of your idea or a TOTALLY CLEAR idea of the business you want to go in. People make this mistake and end up killing what could have been worth millions in the end. Imagine Mark Zukerberg having to wait until he has a forecast of what Facebook would become in 2022 before kick starting with the idea (which was only meant to connect people and friends at the start, before it became a multimillion dollar idea).

Starting with no understanding leads to destruction and premature death of the business idea. Waiting to know everything before starting has killed more dreams than you could ever imagine. Therefore, understand your business idea clearly enough to start with the first step. Understand the vision clear enough to be self convinced about it, and you are good to go.

2. Market research

It is said that knowledge is power. This is so true. Next to understanding your business idea is going into the existing market in Nigeria to understand the following both in Nigeria and globally:
How it runs
Who runs it
The best in the market, and why
The pricing of the product/service
The rate of demand
The rate of supply
What problem they are solving
Having a good knowledge of these will open your eyes tremendously to the market you are launching into. The advantage of knowing all these is, it prepares you to boldly face any question you will be asked anytime any day, and by anyone.

Before Phil Knight started Blue Ribbon which we know today as Nike, he had toured the world and had sampled the best shoe makers in the market. And with such wealth of information, he was able to strike deals that were bigger than his shoulders could carry. He pulled a network of people that he won't have ever had the privilege of meeting on a normal day. This is what information can do.

3. The problem you are solving
Now you have been able to understand how the whole thing runs, and what problem they are solving. It's time you asked yourself what PROBLEM are YOU solving?

When consulting clients, I always give them this example. If you are to start a food business for instance, and you are allocated a shop on a certain block, the first 9shops on that block sell rice, it will be a tragedy for you to get there and sell rice too.

Look for a certain product that has a high demand and low supply, and fill the void. If you are in business and cannot clearly define what problem you are solving, then a 9 to 5 worker is better than you. The difference between a business personnel and an entrepreneur is that the former sets out to make profit, while the latter discovers a problem in the society, and sets out to find the solution.

Problem solvers are world changers. They are innovators and they are always, always rich. They don't run after money. They run after problems, money runs after them. You can ask the men who built America for details.

Till date, it is recorded that the four men who built America, viz: Andrew Carnegie, John D Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, and Henry Ford, all appeared in the list of The 10 richest men of all time. Look, people don't care how much they pay you, so long you solve their problems. So again, what problem is your business idea solving?

4. Implementing a marketing strategy
To secure the future of the business and guarantee it's present success, work with a business strategist to create the best marketing strategy for you business that will guarantee growth and sales within a certain period of time.

This marketing strategy will forecast how much sales is likely to be made in the first 3months, 6months, 1, 2, 3 years, and more. Having a tried-and-approved marketing strategy puts your mind at rest and assures you that your business is safe, even if you are starting it with a loan.

Once again, never venture into a business until you have a workable plan, of which marketing strategy should be an integral part of. As a business strategist, I have helped quite a number of businesses and brands with a strong and detailed marketing plan, and it has paid off over and over again. So there is no exaggeration. I could help you with yours too if you want. My direct contact is below.

5. Unique Selling Point
Whatever problem you are trying to solve, never assume you are the first to try solving it. Some may have attempted solving it in different ways. So to thrive in the market, you must discover a way to solve the problem in a way that is different from every other person. This is what distinguishes you from other businesses and attracts clients to you.

Before Henry Ford designed automobiles, many have tried solving transportation problems using chariots, carts, horses, donkeys, carmels, etc.

By the way, what we know as weekends today, started with Henry Ford when he noticed people were not familiar with his newly invented products. He gave his workers the company cars each and asked them to take a break from work every Saturday, drive it around town and visit their friends, so people will see it and want to buy it. Nice marketing strategy huh?

You must have a way of selling your services/product, and a way of solving problems that is unique to your brand alone. It makes you stand out.
6. Passion/Time
Starting with passion, here is a big misconception. Motivational speakers taught us that when we do what we love, we love what we do. While this is true to some extent, some believe people end up poor because they don't want to leave their comfort zone.

Here is how to correct it. Personally, I hate Mathematics, but I love to deep my hands into problems, stumble upon business challenges. Now, I can't be a business strategist and not learn economy, and I can't do economics without learning a bit of maths. So what drives my passion is not the activity but the result of the activity.

You have got to have enough passion for this idea you want to start as a business.

And then to time, time is a true test of passion. Some people can be jack of all trades, today, wanting to do this, tomorrow, wanting to do something else. Some are so fond of starting something but have serious issues continuing or completing, because the passion and enthusiasm had died down, or probably they had grown passion for something else.

7. Location
One of the things to consider when starting a business is the 'where' of the business. What is the nature of the environment in which you want to start the business? Or better still, what environment fits the kind of business you have in mind? Are you based in Lagos? Port Harcourt? Abuja? Kano? Osun? Akwa Ibom?

All these places have their peculiarities in business. If for instance you are starting in Lagos, your price range, packaging, branding, and target audience choice will be a little different from other states, speaking from experience. Here are things to consider when choosing a location:
The nature of the business: is it a product based or service based business? Or is it both? Are you producing or wholesaling?
Nature of the product or service:
Target audience: low class, middle-class, high class people, High network individuals

8. Branding
Branding is simply giving an identity to your brand and creating an experience around your brand so that everyone who has anything to do with and around your business will have a certain experience that's unique to only you, and would want to come back for more.

When starting a business, you should consider branding both your business and yourself. Starting a business of your own is a complete transformation. It means you are becoming your own boss and will soon be employing people. It also means you are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the market.

You are some people's solution, some people's competitor, and some people's role model. So you need branding. Not everyone that calls themselves brand consultant and brand strategists are truly brand experts. If you wish, I could recommend some for you that will do a good job based on your budget. Contact at the end of the post.
9. Business plan
It is estimated that over 85 percent of small business owners in Nigeria operate without business plans. And because many businesses have underestimated the importance of business plan, success and growth have become a delusion. Quickly here are some of the reasons you need a business plan:
A business plan will attract investors
A business plan will give you an opportunity to start bigger without taking a loan from the bank or spending a dime from your pocket.
A business plan can be used to measure your level of seriousness and doggedness to the business
A business plan makes your idea both organized and documented.
I'll highly recommend you read on How to attract investors with your business plan. It will help you understand what you need and how to write a kind of business plan that will free you from the thought of funds for your business.

The salient truth is many businesses will still continue to struggle in vain for expansion, because the most important thing has not been fixed. Business plan is the road map of your business. It is a document that has an overall summary of your business including specific details such as vision, location, market analysis, swot analysis, structure, marketing strategy, budget estimate, etc

A business plan is like a destiny plan for your business.

10. Business Registration
Next is to register your business. If you want to build a long lasting business, and you want to be professional about it, it is best you register your business. It is very advantageous in many ways:
It builds customers trust in your business.
Clients are not scared that you might run off with their money.
Without it you cannot open a bank account specifically for the business, which is very needful.
In Nigeria it doesn't cost you more than N15,000 of you want to do it yourself. A little more than that if you need the help of a lawyer or a professional in registering your business. For a quick cheap and easy registration, there's a contact at the end of this post.

11. Starting small
So the thing with idea is that when it comes to our head, we have a way of imagining iit so big, so flamboyant, so cool, error free, stress free, multimillion idea, and all those icing. And then we make the mistake of wanting to start with that same picture in our mind.

It's totally cool to have that picture in your mind for at least forever, until you see the picture come to pass. But to want the picture now, you will only kill an idea that is yet to be born. Start big things in small ways. Give big support to small things. That's how to grow it. Instant gratification is a scam. No man or woman who seeks quick riches lives happily for a long time. Ask around.

Need I say more?

Note: that you are to start small doesn't make you put small effort into it. No. Do small things in big ways. Here is an instance. It's better to invite 10people to your birthday party and have enough drinks, enough food, enough gifts and enough fun, than have 100peoole in a room and the things needed are barely enough for 20people.

12. Creating a website
Depending on the kind of business you want to go into, you might and might not need a website. For a business you are starting with 1million and above and your clients are high network individuals, I will recommend you get a website. It is part of the branding that will sell you.

Highly earning individuals don't talk too much. They prefer to see your product or a proof of your services online or physically. And they make their decision right there to either purchase their products or not.

But if your business does not attract such an audience, I'll strongly put it to you that it might not be necessary at the beginning of the business.

13. Learn from other Nigerian entrepreneurs
This is so LESS talked about, and yet full of treasure. I heard this once, that a day with a wise man is worth more than 50 books read together. I tried it and it was so true. Books will teach you a thing or two. But listening to a wise man will teach you practical experience and wisdom.

Reading books is like picking a book on how to cook, while listening to a wise experienced business guru is like standing in the kitchen and watching a professional cook cooking. By the way, I recommend that if you are going into business, whether fully or part time, you should read at least 3 books on business before starting. You would know why after reading.

Learning from an experienced business mogul in Nigeria is understanding not just how to do business but how to thrive financially in business in a country where you have got to fight hard against several giants to penetrate the market and succeed. You would understand what they'll never teach you in Harvard Business schools.

This is how to go about it. Simply create a relationship by asking the person out on a coffee talk, bill on you. It doesn't cost to send an email
If you do it the right way and present your intentions well and convincing enough, then you will get a chance...which will change your life forever.

14. Seek for business mentorship
Eventually, the new relationship can turn into mentorship. And there is no safety as having a mentor follow you up and watch over you in business. Many make mistakes that could be easily avoided because of lack of mentors. Many go as far as losing millions, like I did when I started my business.

Do you need a business mentor? Attend business conferences, seminars, business hangouts, search online for key people in your industry that you admire their leadership skills, and then send them a mail requesting time with them.

15. Seek legal advice
This is self explanatory. To avoid any issue with the law enforcement agency at any stage, it is advisable you seek legal advice on business in general, get to know that laws that govern such business. This will also help you to know your right and not be cheated.

16. Build a strong team
If you are starting a business with over N200,000 and more, you will need to build a team, get people who will be responsible for one thing or their other in the business.

17. Start the business
The best way to start is by starting and defying the spirit of procrastination. Many have had this idea, but few have executed it truly. It's up to you.

You might not be able to do all of these by yourself. So, if you need any help with any of the things I mentioned above, simply contact me on +2348137884995 (call/WhatsApp) or through our email: manicleworld@gmail.com

I look forward to your comments. If you feel there is more to the list that I haven't added as regarding what people need to consider before starting a business in Nigeria, kindly contribute. It will be highly appreciated.

Questions asked in the comment box will be answered too. And if you prefer to ask directly, my contact is two paragraphs away from this. I do hope it was worth the read? Thank you.

BusinessHow To Generate Leads Through Blog Posts In Nigeria: 5 Tips by Manicle(op):
How to generate leads through blog posts

One major sign of a growing business is an increase in the number of customers or clients (however you refer to your leads) that request for your product/services. While there are many ways to generate these new customers, I will teach you in detail the power and importance of one of the many ways - blogging, and how to maximize it.

Recently I did a blog post for a client of mine who majors in fabrics business in Nigeria. In less than a month, she had several customers contacting her through the post, and making enquiry on her product. If you are new in business, we call these people 'Leads'. Now, I'm about to show you what I did that had practical results, not something I read on a blog.

How to grow your customer list through blogging

1 Start a blog
The best way to start a thing is by STARTING. To some, starting a blog looks like a huge mountain. Some feel you've got to have some N1,000 dollars in your account before you can start a blog, which is untrue. There are some blogs that you don't need a dime to start. One of them is www..com Even if you might have to pay someone to create it for you, you won't have to spend much to do that.

There are other blogs you can start with a lesser amount too, depending on what you want, your budget, and the purpose of the blog. The good news is you can start a blog today. And the reason you should is because the persons that started their blogs when you first thought of it are making money with it now that you are about to start. This is to say the earlier the better.

2 Post articles consistently
More important than starting a thing is consistency. The world is full of starters, but we know only a few that finished and finished strong. Sincerely, starting a blog is easier than posting regularly. Consistency requires posting as often as you can.

The general question people do ask is, how often should I post? Well, I personally recommend between 1 and 3 articles per week, provided it is not a news blog where you have to post hourly. And the reason for this is explained in the next post.

3 Quality above Quantity
A quality post will always, always attract more people. Reason is there are millions of blog posts on the internet that deal with several issues. But wealth of information is not the same as depth of information. Some blog posts are simply different from others. They are long, carry experiential knowledge of what is talked about.

For instance, a drummer who has succeeded in his field writes on his mistakes and failures, and successes, giving vivid instances. He then draws out lessons from them to teach others how to be successful as a drummer. Such blog posts will always be read, shared and referred to often.

When people surf the internet for specific topics, they are not just looking for information; they are searching for a working solution. When they find such a post, they want to look for other blog posts written by you, to read, because now you have given them a reason to trust your content for its quality. And before you say Jack Tanko, they are already taking certain actions such as signing up for email or newsletter, or even contacting you for your services/product.

Always try hard to write content that your readers will find useful at all times.

4 Promote your post
Starting a blog is good, posting regularly is important, preferring Quality above Quantity is importanter; but promoting your blog post is importantest (lol). Here is why it supersedes them all. Even among the few content that carry depth, some are still unknown. So it's like putting a lot of hard work into something and then putting it out there, expecting result and getting none.

After writing a quality blog post that speaks a lot about your product or services, and attaching an irresistible call to action, you need to get it out there in front of your target audience by all means.

If you sell for instance, Emotional Intelligence Knowledge in form of coaching, certified courses, and public lectures, then your blog post will be about Emotional Intelligence: the reason why some fail and some succeed. Your target audience at this point will be career people, entrepreneurs, business owners, CEOs MDs, NGOs, School teachers, Leaders, etc. You know that sharing on Instagram or Snapchat is about the wrong place to be.

Now note that when it comes to post promotion, it is not always about paid promotion or search engine optimization. There are several ways to promote your blog post. Here are a few you might find useful:

a. Promote your blog post using email:
Remember I said something earlier about people subscribing to your email? Good. Naturally, your blog should be configured in a way that it allows for people to subscribe to your email to receive weekly email from you on information or lecture regarding the product, or service. Here you
Build your email list
Attach link of your latest post to the mail.
Persuade them to click and read.
Enable social sharing for your email.

b. Promote your blog using LinkedIn
LinkedIn is about one of the best places to promote your blog post. Facebook is like a market full of many people: buyers, sellers, onlookers, gamblers, thieves, etc. But LinkedIn is a lot more specific. It is a network of business-minded folks, and thus one of the most ideal places to share your post.

And here is how to go about sharing. As of the time of writing this, LinkedIn permits not more than 700 characters. You can therefore copy the most captivating parts of your post (not more than 700 characters) and paste it there, then add the link below and ask them to click on the link to read further.
c. Promote your blog post using Facebook
The fact that Facebook is not as audience-specific as the rest does not make it useless to your blog post. Facebook still remains the social media platform with the highest number of users. Therefore, similarly to LinkedIn, you will share your content, ensuring that the following is done:
Use popular hashtags on Facebook. You can get an idea of the hashtags to use when you check the Trending on Facebook.
Post at targeted times and days. Post when Facebook users are likely to be online. Saturdays, Sundays and Fridays in the evening are usually good times to post on Facebook.
Post frequently, breaking down into bits some key points in the post, adding the link to it and asking them to click to read further.
d. Promote your blog and blog post through Twitter and hashtags.
Twitter is another avenue to promote it. The characters are much lesser on social platforms. Nevertheless, maximize it in the best way you can. Be strategic in your use of hashtags.

5. Reply comments with a CTA
The comment sections of an article are one of the best places to generate leads. For people to comment, it means they have read through the post and they value it enough to react to the post. It might come in the form of commenting or asking questions in the comment box.

If one is asking for more info about the topic, it is a chance for you to call them to certain actions such as calling you, chatting you up, sending you mail, etc. You could also drop a link there that will take them to a landing page, where the conversion process will begin.

One mistake though that many do is to assume they can do all of these on their own instead of looking for professionals in the best position to handle that. The unwillingness to pay for it makes them get cheap, unsatisfying results. So, I'll suggest, if you ever need a good blog content writer, or a social media manager, or someone to create a blog for you, you can send us an email call or WhatsApp on +2348137884995.

Challenges of authors and upcoming writers in Nigeria and how to overcome them: 12 tips

Take it or leave it, Nigeria is one of the most blessed countries of the world when it comes to writing. Not only are we many, but also, some of us have gone ahead to win international awards in writing. Even Nigerians in diaspora are not left out. Today, we have famous Nigerian writers like Wole Soyinka, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Ben Okri, Lola Shoneyin, J P Clark, Biyi Bandele, Niyi Osundare, Elnathan John, etc, and yet, I'm sure some might not even know all of these guys I mentioned.

But there are new writers, some of which have written several books, yet to be published. We have younger generations whose story might have as much flavor, if not more, as the ones that are popular. Some of them die without their books ever seeing the rising sun. Some switch from the writing profession to other things to make ends meet. Personally, I have over 5 books some of which are as old as 10years, yet to be published.

The question remains why? Let's look at the challenges writers in Nigeria face, and be practical about the solution.

Challenges faced by authors and upcoming writers in Nigeria
1 Acceptance of the manuscript by the publisher
Recently a friend of mine who is a writer told me about someone who has been submitting his manuscript to traditional publishers for the past 5years, and had been continually either rejected or ignored. This has been a normal experience for most upcoming writers. It has as a result frustrated a lot of writers; some had given up their career as a result.

On the other hand, not all manuscripts can be accepted by publishers. Reason is, in a situation where the whole process of editing, publishing, distributing and marketing of the book is the full responsibility of the publisher, the publisher is often careful to see the potential in making profit from the book before accepting to publish it.

This does not necessarily mean most manuscripts are not good enough. In fact, in my opinion, the most incredible fiction and non-fiction is buried somewhere on the shelf or in a computer. It is yet to find acceptance because the writer is not ready to let 'marketability' control his story or determine the direction of his writing.

This is why apart from the bible and the Qur'an, no religious book has easily found much acceptance by a publisher because such kinds of books are hardly written to please people. Most of them are instructive, regardless of the reader's opinion. Therefore many writers' manuscripts struggle in vain to find acceptance by publishers.
2. Most Nigerian writers lack fund for publishing
Those whose manuscripts get accepted by a publisher enjoy the freedom of not paying a dime for their book to be published, and marketed throughout and outside the country. Also they get to have a free press conference and are invited on TV to talk about their new book. This is why it is a hot cake for your manuscript to be accepted by a publishing house.

However so long it is not accepted by traditional publishers, the book is either lost in the dust and cobwebs of the shelf or is self-published. To self publish is not as hard as you think. To get funds for it is the major challenge. Not many have the financial capacity to fund the publishing and the marketing of the books. This as a result discourage many gifted and skilled writers.

But is it really the writer's fault that he or she lacks financial capacity to finance the publishing of his book? Writers, especially at the early stage don't make much from writing. Most writers, permit me to say, are broke. You can argue that, but just before you do, name five writers around you that own a fine house, a good car, are living well, and are financially confident.

3. Decline in the rate of reading books
In the past few years, there has been a decline in the fiction reading rate. Yes people still read, but fewer and fewer people visit the bookstore to get a copy of a book. Some of the reasons responsible for this decline include the emergence of the Internet, computers, Mobile Phones, and social media. Compared to watching your favorite web-series on the phone and playing games, reading is seen as not much of a fun.

There are more options of entertainment available to not just youths but to everyone. So, there is difficulty in selection. Reading never comes in the list in such a scenario. In older times, there were limited options of entertainment. Library had more reputation. Many would rather be interested in product made out of books like films, web series.

In Ashish Pandit's words, A few generations back when only radio and black & white TV's were there, when you couldn't watch the movie version of a book at the click of a button, books were actually a form of entertainment. Today even leaving aside streaming TV channels, there's so much multimedia on your phone that it keeps you hooked. Whether it is the whatsapp/YouTube videos, Instagram pictures or whatnot you are never short of things to watch.

This summarizes part of the challenges of writers especially in this age. All thanks to tech.
4 Piracy of books
This often applies more to writers whose books have been successful in the market. Some pirates get hold of the book and produce pirated copies of the book. Mr Gbenro Adegbola, MD, Evans Publishing company, in an interview with Associate Editor (Features), Femi Olukunle, explains piracy as a challenge facing authors.

Wholesale reproduction through book printing of by traders is a problem. After importing the books from South-East Asia, with the help of technology, it becomes difficult, if not impossible, to know the original from pirated copies. He added that All the law enforcement agencies are working to stop the influx of these books into the country because the danger is that piracy will become a disincentive to authors such that they may stop writing, and that will be a disaster for the educational system.

5 Preference of foreign books to local books
There is a serious preference of foreign books to local books, especially in Nigeria. As a student of literature in the Obafemi Awolowo University, we studied different books by different authors, most of which are foreign. While in secondary school syllabus we have African and non African texts by renowned authors, Shakespeare remained dominant in our text.

Others see it from the angle of the richness of literature in it, but it is safe to also view it as a preference of foreign authors to local authors. Who says African or Nigerian authors have not written books that are as fine as, if not finer than, some of the foreign books being read around?

Today some of the most bought books in Nigeria, especially by youths are romantic/adventurous/investigative novels. And most of these books are authored by foreign writers. These and many more contribute to the problems faced by Nigerian authors as their books are second in the scale of preference of their readers.

How to overcome the writing challenges
1 Set a writing goal
This is especially for a writer who wants to write a book with the aim of publishing it within a specific period of time. You can actually start a book, finish it and get it published within 6months. Personally I have helped a couple of people achieve that in the past.

I asked them the number of words they want to write. 60,000, they say. We then split the words into three months. Each month covers 20,000 words, which also means each week covers 5,000 words, and each day 800 to 1000 words. By the end of the three months, their first writing is done.

I send the manuscript to an editor who would edit and give them back to work on it and return to him for a second reading until the book is good to go. I process the book for publishing and create a plan and strategy on how to effectively market the book. All these are done within the budget of the writers.

If you are ever in the same situation, then I strongly recommend this method. Of course you can reach me via my mail, phone contact or WhatsApp contact +23437884995, and we will get started right away.

2 Self publish your book
Truth is, take it or leave it, self publishing is taking over the market from traditional publishing. With the presence of the internet, selling your book is much easier. Now, a good content with a good editor will produce a fine book that will make its way to fame. An eBook does not require much fund compared to a hard copy book. In the same way, self publishing, if well strategized, will cost way lesser than traditional publishing.

3 eMarket your (self) published books
One of the major things publishers capitalize on is their marketing strength, their connections with book stores within and outside Nigeria. When publishers accept your book, they ensure it reaches every bookshop in Nigeria such that it is not lacking in any part of the country.

They also organize a press conference and a TV interview where you discuss your book, questions are asked concerning the book and you give them first hand answer as the author of the book.

With the internet, you now have as much upper hand as they do. When you publish and sell your book online, not only will your book reach every part of Nigeria, it will also reach every part of rge world. Secondly, people won't need to enter a book store before they can get it. They can get in anywhere they want - even in the toilet. They are just a few clicks away from the book.

Not only that, your book will be easily located by your specific audience instead of the general market. For instance, if the book is targeted at teens, it won't have to pass through the eyes of people of all age before it is selected by it's specific target audience.

4 Create an audio version of your book(s)
Yes, do audio books. You must understand that with the reduction in the attention span of people, audio book system is one of the ways to extend and expand consumption of your book. It is beneficial for CEOs who have a target of reading a book per week but don't have the leisure of time to sit down and read for hours. Some would prefer to listen to it in their car when going to work, when returning from work or when busy or on a break session.

In a busy place like Lagos in Nigeria where traffic is the order of the day, one could finish a book within a week by merely listening to the audio book on one's way to work and back from work. I can provide you with a voice artist who will do a great job making an audio version of your book. You'd be amazed at how the words in your book will come alive in the audio version.

It will shock you that people who have eye problems may benefit from your audio book more than you can ever imagine. Now, you might feel like I am a writer not a voice artist or a filmmaker. I want my book to be read not listened to or watched. True. And I feel your pain.

Personally, I know there are certain benefits you gain from reading that you might not get from viewing or listening, such as the ability to exercise your imaginative mind, and improve your language skills. But as unique as reading is, one thing is constant: the essence of the book is to pass across a certain message and experience, regardless of whatever form in which it comes.

5. Explore social media gainfully
With the decline in reading, writers should continually look for means to engage people reading using creative means. Here are some tips I'll suggest:
Use catchy excerpts from the book to create nice graphics that you can fly on all your social media platforms. Apart from the excerpt, the graphics will have your name and the name of your book, eg, - excerpt from Chinua Achebe's 'Things fall apart'.
Do a motion graphics of specific events in the book. One could be a 1minute video, which can be used on Instagram and WhatsApp status, another could he as long as more than one minute. If it is a motivational book, you could do a motion graphics for a sub-topic/sub-chapter or a whole chapter. If it is a novel, you could do a chapter of a book. Don't forget people are more inclined to what they see (pictures and motion pictures) than text and audio.
Look for pictures that portray the part of the book you want to discuss, then attach it with a Facebook length-like or LinkedIn length-like text to tell your story, or explain your book in bits. You can make it a series. This is one way to get people to finish a chapter in two days, and a book in 2weeks. So long it is stunning, captivating and on screen, people will consume it.

Truth is, people still read, but they read more on their phone than off it. For instance you can't WhatsApp if you are not reading or writing. If people's attention has been shifted from book to the internet, then it's high time writers shift their writing from paper to the internet too.

Smart people who recognize opportunities would make use of it to keep readers reading. And if you feel you don't know how to go about this, or you are not good at doing any of those things, then you can contact me for help on +2348137884995.

6 Organize for book review
There are ways to go about reviewing your book. Get friends who are writers and thinkers to review the book. You will get the review published on different blogs. This further extends the advertisement of the book. Also, you can collaborate with a school owner to get your book sold to the school student where they are mandated to buy the book and to do a summary on it.

You could actually organize a book review too where you invite people who have read your book to come and talk about the book and how it affects society. It's one big marketing strategy.

Another powerful means of overcoming the challenges of selling your book as an author or an author to be is to have your book reviewed by key persons in the society. Recently I was to read Phil Knight's Shoe Dog and I almost preferred other books to it, but seeing Bill Gates' and Warren Buffet's comment about the book on the book's front cover, I was curious to read it. I just wanted to know what makes the book so great that these two individuals that I respect a lot in the business industry commented on it.

Just imagine your next book is being reviewed or foreworded by one or two of the following, Wole Soyinka, Christiano Ronaldo, Usain Bolt, Beyonce, Chimamanda Adichie, David Oyedepo, or any of the public figures you know that pulls crowd. Never underestimate the comment, foreword, or review of a key person in your book. Never.

7 Get a ghostwriter
Now, if you believe you have a certain story, idea, message, or information in your heart and you feel it is worth sharing with the world, but you don't have a writing skill, then you can turn to a ghostwriter. Here is what a ghostwriter does: he listens to you in detail for a long period of time as you empty yourself explaining your idea to him. He then uses his creative writing skills to interpret your idea in words and trap them in letters.

At the end of the writing, when the book is ready, it will be published in your name. The ghostwriter is compensated with a pay based on your agreement of the price. And for that reason does not in anyway takes any glory, neither is he permitted to reveal that he is the original writer of the book (unless you wish to let your audience know, which is rare in most cases).

This is very common especially among people who wish to do an autobiography or to write on a certain topic or genre but either don't have the time to dedicate to writing, or don't have the skill. Everyone may write, but it doesn't make everyone a writer. One who writes may know what to write, but a writer knows how to write. This is why a skillful writer is needed if a book must be great.

Howbeit, it is almost impossible for you to be able to do all these (set writing goal, write or ghostwrite, design book cover, publish the book, eMarket the book, advertise it on social media,, create a motion graphics video, design graphics for excerpts of the book, do a voice over for the book, etc) by yourself and do it excellently.

Having worked with people from the start to finish of each of their books, and helped them sell thousands of copies, hard and soft, in Nigeria and all over the world, I believe I can help you with your writing career too. You can always contact me via my email, call/WhatsApp me on +2347080225737. Okay, don't be surprised if you receive instant reply, no matter the time you contact me. I hardly sleep, as I am always working. Even during fun time. My bad.

BusinessChallenges Of TV Industry And How To Overcome Them: 11 Steps by Manicle(op):
Challenges of TV Industries and how to overcome them

It looks like the more TV stations spring up, the less people watch them. If you agree with me. Now let's start off by defining this, cos some people simply mix it up. The TV industry here is referred to as network, the type that is mostly owned by the government of each state. Aha! That's it.

The challenges that abound in the TV industry is not a few. Many consider the TV Industry as a form of media that is speedily going extinct. How true is that?

A video company president, Adrian Lee Magill attempts answering by asking, Would you buy a typewriter instead of a computer? He continued by describing the TV industry as an industry in decline which cannot compete with the adaptability of the internet. He ended with a powerful statement that, you may argue, is true.

...TV is dying. Adrain (2017)

Sadly, these challenges that the TV industry is facing is a global problem. While we tackle this issue from a global perspective, we will also be more specific on the Nigerian TV industry. We will firstly discuss the problems facing the TV industry, and then follow it up with possible solutions.

Challenges facing the TV industry in Nigeria and globally
1. Decline in viewing rate:
Back in the days, TV was like google. On February 10, 1993, some 27 years ago, Oprah Winfrey sat down with Michael Jackson for what would become the most-watched interview in television history.

Michael Jackson, who was mostly known as an intensely private artist due to his background and fame, had not given an interview in 14 years. The event was broadcast live from Jackson's Neverland Ranch and was watched by 90 million people worldwide.

However the internet which started like a David soon became a Goliath to the TV industry. Question, what were the needs of people that the TV industry met, and what are the needs of people that have taken them away from TV?

Time has changed, people have moved on, tech has moved on, entertainment has moved on, the internet has made information more available than ever in the history of mankind, but sadly, television is still where it was, or better still, most TV networks.

To answer the question above, the need of people is weaved around the following:
Information
Entertainment
Education
Inspiration
However, while the need has not changed since the days of television, the method of getting the needs has changed. One of the reason for change is Instant Gratification. People want information, and they want it now! The rate of impatience in the 21st century is increasing at an alarming rate.
2 The Rise of Alternative Media Channels
All thanks to internet revolution, viewers nowadays prefer cherry-picking their favorite channels, which is why streaming services over the internet are on an all-time rise. Viewers can access video channels like Amazon video, Netflix, Hulu; choose a subscription of individual channels like Showtime or HBO, or watch programs streamed on YouTube and other free online channels. Even more and more individual channels are still arising to meet certain needs. Answering the question on challenges facing the television industry worldwide, Chad Kukahiko said,

...the biggest threat to the TV Industry is Netflix, Amazon Prime and all the TV style content being produced everywhere today. Chad (2017).

The other kinds of TV that are coming up seem more refined, more defined, more sophisticated with the knowledge and equipment of the present times than the traditional TV. This makes the competition higher and seemingly unbeatable.

3. The Internet:
To critically analyze the Goliath of this age whose strategies have sent many packing, let's start with stats. The following is from Global Digital Report 2019
The number of internet users worldwide in 2019 is 4.388 billion, up 9.1% year-on-year.
The number of social media users worldwide in 2019 is 3.484 billion, up 9% year-on-year.
The number of mobile phone users in 201Digital112 billion, up 2% year-on-year.

The compilation of the most popular social networks worldwide by active users (October 2019) prepared by Statista using data from the Global Web Index panel gives a clear picture of the number of active users (in millions) with Facebook topping the list. It is closely followed by YouTube, WhatsApp and Messenger.

On the other hand, the most watched TV networks rank lower than the lowest social media platform above. While Pinterest ranked lowest on the above list (300million), the most viewed TV network, United Independent Broadcasters, Inc. CBS (an initialism of the network's former name, the Columbia Broadcasting System) ranked highest on the list with seven million, one hundred and forty thousand viewers. Michael (2019).

Of the whole list of most viewed TV netowork 2019, the two TV networks most popular to most Nigerians, Nickelodeon and CNN, ranked 25 and 22 respectively on the same list. This doesn't go without noting the fact that most of these TV networks use the help of the internet to stay relevant in the industry.
4. Lack of focusing on one niche
From the inception of television, the industry began with the intent to cover happenings, keep people informed, introduce some TV series to keep her audience entertained, and advertise in between these services. Today, same audience would rather watch a show TV like Oprah Winfrey Network, when they feel like watching shows, or go to CNN when they need to be aware of global situations, or watch Sports TV, knowing exactly what they want there. Unfortunately, most TV stations still don't get this gist.

With abundance of information on ground, people now go to specific places to get the specific information they want. For instance, if I want to know what's happening globally, I log in on CNN website or go straight to their YouTube channel. If I want local news, I watch channels television, and I do that on my phone or laptop.

When you ask me to sit with TV all day, it's like putting me in a room with a stammerer for one hour. It's not only going to bore me, I don't have the leisure of selecting what I want to watch and when. TV bombard me with all kinds of info, regardless of my age, gender, interest, religion, philosophy or profession. But it's not so on the internet. When I need info on sports, I know just where to go. Ditto for comedy, business, etc.

5. Lack of funds/Funding
Here is the thing: for a private owned broadcasting network, the funds come majorly from advertisements. There were times when TV channels were selective of which advert to feature on their network. Recently, while watching a local TV network, majority of the time was used in soliciting for people to advertise on their platform. Often times, the ad requesting for ads is stuck to the TV screen for viewers to see and probably follow the call to action by sailing the number on the screen.

The problem however is advertisers and organizations have moved on, unlike the TV industry. Advertisers look for platforms that have more audience, and better still, their target audience. A 'Got Talent' show wants to advertise their latest season, and get people to register, where do they go? TV? Hell to the no! First of all, they use their social media platforms starting with YouTube, which in most cases is their TV. After all, majority of the users are their target audience, plus majority of their target audience stream the show. They don't watch it on ''TV''. Adrain (2017) said,
Advertisers can target their product ads to their target demographic a lot easier with the information exchange that goes on every time you log on to a site.

With television it was more of a “shotgun” approach where they threw a lot of information at you hopping something will stick. Why send a guy a make up commercial? Because there might be a lady in the room… or there might not.

The good news however is there are possible solutions to these challenges. Let's quickly look into them one after the other.

How to overcome TV network challenges
1 Define your position
TV networks the world over are struggling to identify what they are there for. Is it entertainment, news, sports, education? They are hanging on to all of it for fear of losing revenues. Money is not the problem. Defining your niche is.

Every genre seems to have its own TV services. Every theme is addressed via a specific digital outlet. Define what your TV is for and make the best of that niche. Advertise yourself well until you are known for that particular thing.

Positioning yourself helps you understand your brand even more. It brings clarity to who your competitors are and who your viewers are. It makes you unique in a world of millions of producers and networks. Also, it will make other TV networks and online TV to respect you.

But most importantly, you won't be lost in the crowd. Defining your position helps your audience to find you easily.

2 Identify Target Audience
Many networks make this mistake of wanting to do a 'family' TV that can be watched by people of all age, and all interests, which is very wrong. The major reason why you will hardly have advertisers seeking to advertise with your TV is because their target audience is not yours.

Imagine if your network specifically address children between age 4 and 14, and you do different kiddies shows and you are well known for it. Companies that sell children products will surely knock on your door. No doubt. And that's the power of identifying you your message is addressing.

3 Understand target audience behavior

Study more broadly on consumer behaviour and the way people are consuming content. Your audience want more than just a passive experience with a TV programme in their front room. They want to watch catch-up TV on a laptop, download a phone app on the move engage with content on a tablet or take their experiences to social media platforms.

They want different experiences on each platform, different flavours of content, and they want it all on their personal schedules! An ‘access anywhere, any time and on any platform’ consumer is having a profound impact on broadcasters, content owners and post houses – and they need to radically re-think how they set up and integrate their workflow and business processes.

Therefore, give it to them. Learn means by which you can satisfy them. Brainstorm with your team, seek Manicleworld consulting services (+23437884995 - Call/WhatsApp), delegate it to them if you feel you need the services of a professional to help you pull your audience attention back to you, and not just a social media manager.

4 Leverage on the Internet.
If the term "TV" is becoming more and more archaic every year because streaming is taking over more and more every year, then the ideal thing is, like the popular statement, if you can't beat them, join them.

Yes. Take your TV experience a notch higher. Take your YouTube channel more seriously. If you don't have one, create one ASAP. Promote some of your evergreen videos to gain subscribers.

Again if you have to hire a professional to handle that for you, don't hesitate. Your competitors are not smiling. Neither should you. And until you understand that the TV industry is a battle ground and the fight is about the survival of the fittest, you are soon out of the game.

5 Produce quality content
With the increase in media outlets and networks, there is more demand for content, and more importantly, quality content. Content is what drives your brand identity, and it's what keeps your brand going.

To ensure quality, you need to utilize the content that is already in use. Recycling legacy content and going regional to cater to different geographies are some of the ways that content creators need to take. This does not rule out the part of creating new and creative content.

People are craving for content different from the ones they've been seeing. Come up with shows and series that will captive their attention, satisfy their imaginations and make them want more.
6 Interact
If you think in the traditional way of TV production, you will think in terms of broadcasting. A one-way communication from one sender to many recipients.

Today the recipients send feedback via social media or even interactive TV features. Audiences interact in many ways now with their TV shows: by simply participating in casting or voting shows; by more complex channels like social media comments or in the ‘dark’ when they discuss in dedicated forums about your show. It is not uncommon now that a production reacts to these messages and adapts a show based on feedback from the audiences.

Some shows are even so daring in that they let the audience decide on how the show evolves. Arguably that was the case with Game of Thrones at some point. And the future has some more challenges in store: virtual reality is at the doorstep and will promise to be the ultimate interactive TV experience.

So, go ahead and create engagement and participation for all your viewers. Everyone wants to be a part of something big. Everyone wants to be a part of the show. Let them have the liberty of interacting with your TV through social media post. Let your posts be interactive. Let it encourage engagement, comments, etc. Throw freebies once in a while. Do everything possible, and everything positive to draw their attention and keep it drawn.

BusinessWhy A Business Plan Might Be The Only Solution To Your Business by Manicle(op): 3:56pm On Jan 21, 2020
[img][/img]

If you fail to plan, your failure has just begun. Every boss, business owner, MD, CEO, Religious Leader, etc, knows that when they wake up in the morning and set out to work without planning what to do for the day and what to achieve, have wasted the entire day even without starting it at all.

Do you know that you can't achieve your goal for the year if your goal for the day is hard to accomplish?

This is the very reason most businesses don't succeed. In a nutshell, a business plan is an information contained in a paper that tells you the Genesis to Revelation of your business. If you ever need a business seer, your business plan is one, because everything you hope to do has been analyzed, forecasted, and backed up with facts and figures. This is why some consultants will charge you high for a business plan. In some cases, the charges are worth the job.

For instance, I did a business plan for a client sometime ago on a Soft Drink Business in a location popularly known as Sango Ota, in Ogun State, which shares boundary with Lagos. And to show how viable the business will be, I had to do researches on each of the products she wants to sell, do findings on the number of drinks consumed each day, the kind of drinks mostly consumed, age range of major consumers, target location, where the products sell the most, the population of the people in the environment, and the buying ratio for each day.

The effect of these data findings, researches and data analysis is to prove logically and beyond reasonable doubt why and how the business can thrive without the fear of failure. The business owner can confidently venture into it, having understood the game well. This case puts them in a position of winning and of success.

Unfortunately, most businesses fail for lack of applying this same method. Most businesses begin on a basis of trial and error. Lack of planning and business plan has cost people more than you can ever imagine. Hence the need for a business plan.

So, here is my advice. If you ever fee stuck in your business, or you feel the business is not moving at the speed you desire, then go back to the board, check your business plan. Your answer or at least a step to your solution is somewhere inside the business plan.

And if you don't have a business plan, contact me to write one for you. Wise people pay attention to little details, and invest in the right things.

Three things are true about you and I. First, we both have ideas running down our mind. An idea that we believe will be the bomb when it works.

Second, we both don't have the capital enough to bring that idea to reality cos it will require a huge amount of money.

Third, with a good business plan, we can actualize it because there are tons of sponsors and investors out there willing to fund a good potential idea.

But then no one will fund it if you can't show them how serious you are with a proof of your business plan.

So, let's assume I'm right, what would you do?

PropertiesSolving Housing Crisis In Lagos by Manicle(op):
[img][/img]

Among the three basic needs of man, Housing in Lagos has become a major concern. Many in Lagos are not comfortable with where they live, but cannot do much about it due to the cost of renting, building or buying a more comfortable house.

Several entrepreneurs have attempted solving it. Some are still attempting. However, this is beyond a one man's effort. In this article is my attempt to analyze the problems, causes, and possible solutions.

ABOUT LAGOS
Lagos has a population of more than 22million inhabitants and over 500,000 people adding to the Lagos population every year. It is one of the few cities that have become so big and spanned into another state such that inhabitants of the neighbouring states see themselves more as lagosians than of the state they are in. A perfect example is Sango ota and Mowe in Ogun State which shares boundary with Lagos.

A good number of houses in Lagos lay vacant, especially on the island with no occupant as the cost of the house rent is not affordable to majority of those seeking accommodation. Permit me to add to it that the cost for some of the house rent is so outrageous, you could almost build/buy a 4bedrom flat, in some other cities and still have some money left in your account.

While there is no stable statistics yet, majority of Lagosians work to avoid being kicked out of their house every year. Even under some bridges, some thugs are said to make themselves landlord there such that anyone who comes under the bridge to spend the night for whatsoever reason (usually due to lack of accommodation) has to pay some amount.

While I have stated earlier that Lagos has spanned into some parts of Ogun, it doesn't mean there are no lands. As a matter of fact, there is still enough land being explored along Lekki, Ajah and Ikorodu, among others. But one of the major problems is the cost of the land. A tenant who can barely pay three hundred and fifty thousand naira for his rent will not think of buying a plot of land worth 5million.

One major thing that determines where people stay is their job. Most of the major companies and organizations in Nigeria pitch themselves in Lagos. This causes many to perceive Lagos as a land of opportunities. Some who have never visited Lagos before tend to have this notion that if you want to make it in life, Lagos is the place. They believe going to Lagos automatically means becoming rich.

Another factor responsible for the housing and population crisis in Lagos is mindset. There is this idea that people have about Lagos that makes everyone to want to live in Lagos. The stories of Lagos make many who have not been there yet to long for the experience. And the hype Lagos has forces business organizations to think they will thrive more if their main offices or headquarters relocated to Lagos. Same with religious organizations, celebrities and artistes.

Politicians and other rich people buy houses and lands in Lagos because of the prestige attached to Lagos. Even people who have nothing want to be affiliated with the name Lagos for prestige sake. how do you expect people to not troop into Lagos?

EFFECTS

This in turn increases automobile traffic, and worsens health condition in Lagos. Yes, the government has a great role to play in mitigating population, improving living condition and increasing housing and accommodation.

People are not able to live in the environment where they worked, or work in the area where they live. Many vacancies for instance in Lekki but the criteria is one must reside in Lekki. Pay is below N100,000. Most houses in Lekki are quite expensive. So expensive that one who is paid for example N1,200,000 per year cannot afford the N800,000 to N1,500,000 rent. And those who can afford such rent work in places where their annual pay is more than twice the amount for their rent.

I understand there are exceptions. Some artistes, celebrities, others, who may not earn or make as much as they appear to be would rather live in expensive areas of Lagos to maintain the high reputation they get from their fans, or whoever they are doing that for. And for some, it pays, they say. Because it makes clients to price them high, and gives them a platform to close higher deals.

Here it is in a lay mans word: you don't want to award a N50million naira project to some guy living in one of the ghetto areas of Ajegunle no matter how professional he professes to be. Your mindset is, a professional that will execute project of this huge amount must have a class and his status must attest to the fact that he can handle such amount.

Now, I am not here to be a judge - to say if it is right or wrong. I'm only giving possible reasons why people live where they live which leads to housing crisis in Lagos.

SOLUTION

But it is disaster to sit down and wait for the government to find solution to it. Hence, private sectors, real estate firms and developers must hence attend to this huge demand. This is a business opportunity that must not be taken lightly. Places like Badagry, Ajah, Ikorodu, Mowe, etc can be developed intentionally for the low and middle class.

With hundreds of houses lying unoccupied in different places in Lagos, some for months, some close to a year due to cost of rent, House owners should reconsider lowering the cost of rent so it can be affordable for people. This will have solve quite a number of problems st once such as the following:

Traffic will be minimized as people will no longer have to leave for instance Iyana Ipaja to their office at Ikoyi.

It will reduce the stress of waking up at 4am hitting the road at 5am and returning home at 10 or 11pm. And it will increase health and lifespan.

It will give vacancy for someone who works in say Iyana Ipaja but lives in Berger, to relocate to somewhere close to their work place.

In addition, companies, organizations, firms, should be encouraged to spread their tents to new and different areas of Lagos, especially the new developing sites, and not congest in one place. This will help people to be encouraged to move to for instance new sites like Ikorodu when they see job opportunities there. I mentioned Ikorodu because as of the time of writing this, rent is ridiculously cheap in areas of Ikorodu and few are trooping in for fear of the cost of transportation from there to their place of work.

The government of Lagos also needs to be more intentional about the housing structure and expansion of Lagos. It should make easier the legal aspect of Land such as issuing Certificate of Occupancy.

Government should also create projects such as extension of roads, electricity, commercial areas like banks, markets, and academic projects like schools, institutions, hospitals, etc in new unused sites to encourage movement to those sites, for the decongestion of population in certain areas of Lagos.

The problems, causes, effects and solutions in this article NOT ONLY applies to Lagos. It is also applicable to states and cities will similar housing crisis.

RomanceHow To Find A Man by Manicle(op): 8:37pm On Jan 07, 2020
The driver in the bus I am (who can barely speak a word in English) was holding a paper and typing a number on his phone while speeding on Ilesa - Ibadan express way. I warned him to stop that. He turned to me (bus was still in high speed) and said 'do you think this is my first time of driving?'

Few minutes later, our bus went past an accident scene along the same express way where an 18 seaters bus was consuming with fire and people where gathered around it. Tendencies are high that the passengers were burning in that fire.

***

When travelling, no matter how desperate you are to get to your destination, you won't want to be sitting in a car with a driver who is speeding at 160KM/H, viewing his WhatsApp status and replying chats.

So why the desperateness in going I to a relationship with a man without carefully observing his leadership skills, his spiritual soundness or the quality of his dream?

Now, I get it that our society painted singleness at 25 and above as a misfortune. Ladies who are 30 and single or guys who are 25 and married look like something is wrong somewhere.

T L Osborn was 19 and his wife was 18 when they got married. Genevieve Nnaji and Oprah Winfrey are both successful and still single.

As a 21st century, 3rd decade human, you should be the last person to give all that as excuse to falling victim of these lies. You rock your world, and ain't nobody gonna make you feel abnormal for being you.

More so, you are too educated to trade wisdom for a societal status quo that sees from a highly illogical and sentimental point of view.

So don't let the pressure of those lies lead you to to jump into a life long journey with just anybody.

The lion is king of the jungle not because of it's size. And a lioness that marries a dog has either lost it's sense of identity or has assumed that anything that has four legs, two jaws and hairy skin is a lion.

CareerQuitting Job And Starting A Business: Manicle Nuggets by Manicle(op):
No matter how ee de do you for body, don't quit your job if some things are not in order. Ensure you have saved from the job enough to sustain you for at least the first 6months of the new business.

If your business is something you can run beside your job, then don't quit the job. You have a 9-5 for your job, and you have a 5-9 all to yourself. Use that time. And if you recide in Lagos, your excuse might be that you don't get home until 10pm and you leave home as early as 5. Well, that's why entrepreneurs in Lagos have thicker skin. Somewhere between the hold up on your way to or from work, and the break period at work, you can still do something. And you can delegate some things too.

If your job does services or sell products similar to the business you are going into, then, don't quit yet until you are sure you've gathered enough experience. It takes more than having capital to run a business. One thing you will never get no matter how much books you read or videos you watch, is the experiential knowledge of the business' managerial/administrative ways and skills.

Jobs/VacanciesGetting A Job: Things To Consider by Manicle(op): 8:02pm On Jan 07, 2020
Nigeria will soon get to a point where it is not safe to have only one source of income. Therefore merely seeking for job to 'keep body and soul together' will be disastrous.

Before you ever get a job, ask yourself certain questions. Be like God. See the end from the beginning. What do you want to do for the rest of your life...something that captures your interest at all times? Get a job around that field. And give your best to it with a mindset that someday you will be in the shoes of your employer. You might retire, or get fired or change your job, and truth, money might go, but the experiences you have learnt in the job will eventually become your greatest asset in the future.

Funny thing is you might not eventually start a business, but with your knowledge, you could become a major consultant to companies that need your experience. So don't ever think salary is the only thing you stand to gain in your job.

When you get a job, endeavor to maintain a healthy relationship with everyone, staff, and especially the boss, such that when need be for you to leave the company, you will still have a healthy relationship. Some of these relationships might save or help you in your next move, whether in search of a new job or in a bid to start your business.

Business7 Reasons Why Hotel Business Fails In Nigeria by Manicle(op):
[img][/img][img][/img]

Hotel Business will hardly run out of market so long people are increasingly travelling, and occasions and programs and parties and ceremonies are still holding.

The challenge though is, while Hotel business is a good business to venture into, not all hotels thrive. And this is due to several reasons such as the location of the hotel, the popularity of the destination, the hotel facilities, the staff that works at a hotel, the leadership of the hotel manager amongst others.

This article will show you why hotel business in Nigeria fails by dealing with salient mistakes in the hotel business. Not only that, it will guide you on the path of prosperity in hotel business. The steps will show you how to successfully make great and consistent sales in the hotel business, especially in Nigeria.

Why Hotel Business Fails in Nigeria

1. HOTEL MANAGEMENT
Hotel businesses suffer often times as a result of wrong management. Most hotel managers are so revenue conscious that they fail to understand what actually drives the business, and what kills the business. The bulk of the work lies on the efficiency and managerial skills of the hotel manager. Before a hotel manager can manage the various departments, s/he must know the roles of each person in the every department.

As a hotel manager, don't just focus on meetings and meetings; work around to observe the task everyone is taking: see how long and tasking or how short and easy each task is. Work with the front desk to understand how many customer complaints and issues are handled by your staff that you never hear about. This will help you to have hands-on knowledge, which allows you to put employees' concerns and complaints in perspective, and the staff respects you more because they know you have that knowledge.

Most hotel managers are found to be strict, that all the staff fear them. To some, the fear of the manager will make them more productive. But emotional intelligence has found out that a sound healthy relationship between employer/manager/CEO/boss and their employees creates an environment for better productivity. This has constituted a major failure in the hotel business.

Some of the ways to correct this is to understand your staff, care for them, support them, make them feel important. Possibly, create a reward system where each department vote on a top performer of the week, or provide a small financial reward to any staff member who spots a maintenance issue before you do. The rewards don't have to be big; even small rewards go a long way toward making your staff content with their jobs and motivated to work hard.

TECHNOLOGY
It is true, factually and obvious that a tech sophisticated hotel attracts more customers in hotel business. Apart from online bookings, and free WiFi, there are other services that can be rendered with the help of other forms of technology.

Everyone wants to be associated with classy hotels. There is nothing that makes a hotel feel classy like tech and the smartness of the hotel. Now there are quite a number of tech-related stuffs and apps that creates more comfort in the hospitality industry or the hotel business.

a. Digital Conference Facilities: Besides being able to offer high density Wi-Fi for conferences and meetings, your hotel also should provide access to audio-visual (AV) and digital facilities for conferences. In other cases, the hotel should have a ready projector and projector screen, a marker board and marker. And other conference/business meeting facilities. These greatly attract companies and businesses to hold their business meetings and business retreat in your hotel.

b. Mobile Apps and automation:

Guests want to be able to do everything from checking in at a venue’s automated kiosk to ordering room service with a digital device instead of standing in queues and moving around the hotel premises to order food.

Thanks to digital innovation, guests also expect digital interactions with the hotel to be personalised. When investing in digital apps for check-ins, room service and other customer-oriented digital interactions, hotel operators are investing in systems and technologies that can personalise the experience for guests, including a guest’s name being displayed on the welcome desk at a digital check-in station; their food preferences or past purchases being displayed in a digital room-service order system; and similar.

c. Social Media and Feedbacks
Every guest that steps into the hotel has a smartphone in the pocket. For those on holidays, honey moon, business meetings, or for ladies who were brought by their man on some romantic break or date, the tendencies are high that they would take pictures or do videos, and share their experiences with their friends on social media. Apart from the picture that shows the place, the location will also be tagged. This further spreads the gospel of your hotel brand.

Not only that. People who wish to use a hotel for any of the purposes listed above don't choose hotel in vacuum. Chances are high that they'd research on the hotel to see the features of the hotel, AND ALSO THE FEEDBACK OF THOSE WHO HAD USED THE HOTEL BEFORE. The comments, videos, photos, and sometimes personality of those who had patronized the hotel has a way of influencing their decision of using the hotel.

d. Online Reputation Management Technology:

A hotel’s online ratings is helpful in two ways. First can help predict future bookings, and second, they let you know how well your hotel reached your guest expectations.

Therefore, your hotel's online manager will continue to invest in platforms that help them monitor online reviews, manage their online reputation and use that feedback to improve both their operational and guest experience standards. Online reviews is a direct feedback from guests.

Hence the power of feedback and social media is inevitably powerful and advantageous to the growth of the hotel.

HOTEL BRANDING
How well does your hotel stand out in the crowd? What is/are the things that differentiate your hotel from others? The lack of these are often the reasons behind the failure of a hotel business.

A hotel brand for instance can be simply ''home away from home''.

Understand your hotel brand and communicate that message throughout every aspect of your service and marketing. Give food services that covers for the cultural meals of the major ethnic groups in the country or locale. Make dishes that give your customers a home experience.

Make the environment even friendlier by training your staff to be homely with their smiles, services and responses. Let them have the privacy and serenity that influenced their choice hotel over their homes. You can even go as far as providing a shuttle services for them that will drive them from wherever they are to the hotel, and from the hotel to wherever they wish to go within the city. In a nutshell, give your guests a certain experience.

Also communicate your brand through online platforms when marketing, and when you are not. Always.

MARKETING AND PLANNING
Marketing is like the other side of a coin of hotel business. Yet, it is the most misunderstood. Most hoteliers fail at this point due to low marketing skills and knowledge. And due to low observation of competitors. Marketing your hotel is more than creating an online booking system, fliers, running promo and all sorts. One of the best ways to market your product is to let your value speak for you. Besides, never print fliers and invest in other traditional marketing forms at the expense of your hotel website. Your hotel website comes first any time of the day. It not only presents you as serious and classy, it also helps you to reach a wider audience, and draws you closer to your guests.

Secondly, many hospitality businesses, even larger ones, are yet to employ skilled marketing person, or outsource their marketing arm to an experienced inbound marketing professional or brand. Instead, businesses rely on random staff members to take on marketing tasks without thinking about whether they have the knowhow to get the job done. If you are not ready to add an online professional to your staff, it is best to outsource the marketing and online arm of your hotel to professionals. If you ask me, I'd recommend Manicleworld, a business and marketing strategy brand. They have helped a lot of businesses with their marketing in the past years across Nigeria. You can call, text or chat them up +2348137884995.

Being able to pass across the message of the brand well and delivering good customer satisfaction will in itself make the customers to consistently use the facilities and recommend it to others.

Your media arm must be able to plan several months in advance for upcoming promotions and events. You should develop a relationship with wedding planners and nearby venues, and offer an attractive package for wedding guests that includes amenities not available at other hotels, such as shuttle service to and from the wedding.

Also, promoting the hotel via Facebook and Instagram, getting more followers, and managing the reputations of the hotel online will boost sales.

LOCATION

The many problems associated with a poor location cannot be ignored. There is the difficulties finding the hotel, lack of transport system at some particular hours of the day. Traffic or no parking, especially in places like Lagos Nigeria. Just before you conclude on the location, If you think you’ve found a good location, research well on what the area is like, its reputation, businesses around it, attractive places around it, the landmarks close to it, supermarket, beach, airport, institutions, industries, etc.

Location ultimately determines the success or failure of a hotel business.

FLEXIBILITY

Actually one of the reasons why only 2 out of 10 hotel businesses make it through the first 5years is lack of understanding if the business, and lack of flexibility. Whatever you know about running a hotel today will not be the same in 10years time. Hence the need for flexibility, to adapt to new ways of improving hotel satisfaction. In other words, there must be consistent effort in improving with the latest trend around.

PRICING
After location and outlook, the price of the rooms and foods are often the first things guests look at to decide what hotel to check in. Now it is a bit complicated because some won't want go bring down their price because of the hotel's value. At the same time they are compelled to because they are careful not to scare potential guests away.

In my years of practicing business strategy, I have learnt that there is a way you can actually give a service or product of a high value, and yet at a reduced price without incurring loss. And many have benefited from this. If you can't hold a strategy session with your staff to brainstorm how to achieve such, I'd advise you employ the services of a business strategist. I'll gladly handle handle that for you while you face other matters of your hotel business

If you ever need my services on strategies to start or improve a hotel business anywhere in Nigeria, or you what me to manage your online arm, kindly contact me via call/text/ or WhatsApp: +2348137884995

BusinessHow To Start A Fabrics Business In Nigeria With Very Small Amount by Manicle(op):
It is no exaggeration that fabrics business is one of the fastest growing, and income doubling business in Nigeria. Everyone wears clothes, many sell clothes, a good number of people are into tailoring and fashion, but very few sell fabrics materials. Even fewer are people who sell good, beautiful and quality fabrics materials.

Here, I'll show you how to start a fabrics business, based on my experience and that of others.

1. Learn about Fabrics Materials

To build your confidence in the business, you must learn the different kinds of fabrics materials so that when talking with your customers, you won't appear a novice and lose customers.

Understanding the difference in fabrics also helps you to avoid buying fake materials and wasting your money. Here are names of some of the fabrics materials: Plain and Pattern, Ankara, Lace, Chinos, Polish Cotton, Crepe, Scuba, Cashmere, Brocade, Linen, Vintage, Velvet, Check, Kampala, Guinea.

2. Research on Fabrics Business.

They say only 1 out of 10 businesses survive the first 5 years. Reason is there are quite a few people who conduct a proper research on the kind of business they want to indulge in, and even fewer do a market survey on the environment they want to start the business.

Selling a fabric material in Ogbomoso is not the same as selling fabrics materials in Lagos. A fabrics material worth 5,000 can not easily sell in some exterior parts of Ogbomoso. In Lagos, same fabrics material can sell for 20,000. If you don't understand this and more, you'll end up buying materials that no one will patronise.

3. Understand Your Target Audience

One of the things that delay progress in sales often times is selling the right product to the wrong persons. Many do that. And its an unpardonable sin in the business world. It will make you frustrated.

And if you are the religious type, you'd end up praying against the witches in your village, declaring them responsible for the lack of sales.

As a fabrics materials seller, some of your target audience are tailors, event planners, fashionistas, churches, choirs, etc. Selling gets easier when you know where your market is.

4. Write a Business Plan

So many avoid the idea of writing a business plan. But what they fail to understand is, business plan benefits you more than it benefits the person telling you about it.

A business plan gives you so much clarity of the future and probabilities of the business. Second, it gives you an opportunity to get sponsored by investors. No investor will invest in your business without seeing the plan you have for it and knowing your budget.

As a starter in fabrics selling business in Nigeria, you need a business plan. It will make the entire business a lot lot easier for you. I know of someone who can write a fantastic business plan for fabrics business at N10,000. You can always contact him on +2348137884995 on call text or WhatsApp. He wrote my business plan, and it was fantastic.

5. Register Your Business with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)

This will go a long way to establish your business and gain the trust of your customers. It will make your business legal and formal. Not only that, with CAC, you can secure the name of your business. And it will be easier for you to get grants/loans from institutions or investors.

The good news is it doesn't cost much. Just 15,000, and you can even register it yourself. But just in case you don't have the time to do that or you need a professional guidance, there is a contact below which you can trust to help you.

6. Acquire Entrepreneurship Skills

Here is why acquiring skills come first before getting capital. I made a mistake when I started. I lost a lot of customers, got duped of 50,000 in the business, which nearly crashed me down.

Twice, I was on the verge of shutting down the business. More than twice, I ceased the business. If I had learnt some basic entrepreneurial skills, it would have saved me of several losses. All thanks to Manicleworld, who saved my Business by teaching me the basic skills.

So, I'll advise strongly that you understand the meaning of entrepreneurship and learn the skills and how it works. It will go a long way for you.

7. Create the business

Start with giving your new fabrics business a name. Here is how to go about it. You can look for a name on two ways: either by coining a name that doesn't exist and is not connected to fabrics or fashion, or by looking for a familiar name to aid your visibility online.

Next, brand your business. Now branding isn't just about logo and color. It's more. Your business will have a face, an experience, a signature, something that makes it distinct from all others.

I'll advise you delegate your branding to professionals. My branding and many other things was done by a business strategist, his contact which I shared below already.

8. Understand Your Marketing Strategy

I'll tell you some of the best ways to market your fabrics material. Instagram is a good store. Google my Business is another. But Facebook, WhatsApp and door to door sales are outstanding strategies.

When you are able to set up these social media platforms well, and advertise them well, you will have a smooth sale. And if you are not much of a social media person or you don't know how to go about the advert. You could employ the use of an advertiser.

Personally, when Beauticleworld, my fabrics brand started, I chatted my business strategist on +2348137884995 and he helped me with my adverts and I sold more than N200,000 within the first 3month. Today, I have made millions in the business and have risen to become a major supplier in South West Nigeria. No exaggeration.

You should never toy with the marketing aspect of your business. It's the determinant of the result.

9. Get a Supplier

Next is to look for where to get quality fabrics at a cheap price. Fabrics suppliers are not much. Quality fabrics material suppliers are even fewer. So, choose wisely. Your research on fabrics materials should teach you difference between quality and non- quality materials.

I used to get my fabrics supplies from a number of sources until my business grew to become a self sufficient supplier. For a start, I could be your supplier. Simply call or chat me up on +2348164006570.

10. Generate Capital

The major reason many who are interested in this business are yet to start is lack of capital. Here is a secret. As an entrepreneur, you must learn to understand that sometimes it's not lack of money but lack of vision, insight and determination.

A tip on how to start a fabrics business with very little capital. Look for pictures of very beautiful fabrics from your supplier. Use it to advertise and get people interested. Ask those who show interest when they want it. Tell them to pay up now and assure them they will get it on a specific day.

Then use their money to get the materials. Remove your profit and give them the materials. Invest the profit into the business and try same trick again until you are able to make enough profit to turn to capital independent of people's money. Simple.

11. Get a Store

Now that might be optional for a start. If you are like me who started the fabrics business with less than 10,000, then getting a shop will not even flash your mind. So, for a start, let your store be online. It's usually a sweet experience.

When your business gets bigger and bigger however, you will need to get a shop. The reason it is important is, having a shop with a stable address makes your business a lot more credible. It makes it easier for people to trust you and buy from you without even setting their eyes on you. They feel if anything goes wrong, you are traceable.

Having a shop keeps people at rest that their money is not in a wrong hand. And they can always return the materials if they don't get what they want.
I have quite a number of articles on manicleworld..com that might be helpful to your business. Simply click on the link and explore.

Okay, I hope you gained a thing or two in this article. Please do comment below and let me know what you feel about it. Thank you.

Career10 Challenges Faced In Writing A Book And How To Overcome Them by Manicle(op):
I love being practical about everything. So here, we'll treat all the challenges from practical experiences and we will come up with solutions that have worked over time. I hope that by the time we are done, years you'll face those challenges like they are nothing. Let's get straight to work.

10 Challenges Faced In Writing a Book And How to Overcome them

Lack of Ideas

Some find it easier to adopt someone else's idea or concept, but find it very difficult to create one independently. Some actually have a starting idea, but lack ability to flesh up that little idea with more ideas.

If you ask me, I'll tell you to pause and do something else. Never force ideas to come into your head or you'll have a frustrated writing. People reading your book will feel the struggle you underwent to write the story. In stead, take out time to do something new. Observe nature, go for mountaineering, ski, swimming, watch football games, go for morning jug.

Do something different, like you would if you had a writer's block. Only that you will be extra attentive to everything around you, observing meditatively. It's a matter of time before ideas begin to flow.

Writers Block

This is not abnormal. It happens a lot. The brain is no machine. When the brain gets overheated, one begin to look like one without idea at all. While both look alike, the one with writers block is only temporarily down without idea or inspiration. The other who lacks idea is a little more than just a temporary thing.

Here is how to deal with this writing malaria called writer's block. Quit writing. You heard me right. Take a break from writing. Engage in something totally away from writing. Get enough sleep, go watch some movies, hang out with friends, go for exercise, etc. And when you are back, you'll be as fresh as a writer about to start, and the writer's block of a thing will be as good as gone. Try it!

Lack of confidence

For one reason or the other, some people simply don't have confidence. As a matter of fact, some cling unto writing in order to avoid facing the crowd and the world. Thing is, regardless of your skills, expertise, and experience; they are all nothing without confidence. Confidence in writing on some issues, or against things you don't believe in has a way of changing the vibe of your book. So, to make it like the likes of Dan Brown, J K Rowling, etc, you must learn to grow confidence by all means. It will obviously affect your writing and your thinking, positively.

High Level of Competition

Yes, the world is producing more and more writers and people who write, everyday. You can literary see how competition has made several people's book to end their journey in the publishers desk still as manuscript. But instead of being scared of competition, embrace it! Look, the more the competition the more the opportunity you have to offer more value. There’s high tendency that very few people will think from that perspective and do the same.

Lack of Finances/Sponsors

Perhaps if writing a book don't need financing to publish, everyone will be an author. Many starters don't have the ability to pay a professional editor, let alone publish the book. Some go ahead to publish it with a local publisher which makes their book look amateurish after print, starting from the page cover to the choice of font, paper, paper size and packaging.

If you are in similar situation, then it's high time you understand two concepts of writing of writing. There is the art of writing (which deals with knowledge and skill put into the work) and there is the business of writing (which deals with how to make your work financially gainful). Having done the art, devise means towards the business of it. Seek sponsors. Strike a deal with people, to return their money with 5% percent on it if they sponsor the publishing of your book. Talk to family and friends. Meet experienced authors, tell them of your financial challenges and seek their advice on how to gather fund. You'll be surprised at what you'll get in return. So you see? Finances is not as much problem as you thought.

The Perfectionist Mentality

This is general to all writers. We all struggle with this. It is in our biological makeup as writers. We will hardly release anything for publishing except it is our best. It's a trap. Some would stay on a chapter, and every time they visit it, they find some error that they need to correct, and doing so, they remain on a spot. This not only prolongs the time for publishing, it also makes the writer to lose interest in writing when he/she is barely half way. Overcome it once and for all by remembering that there is no one that's perfect. We are all striving for perfection, and those who wait to be perfect before they give writing a trial will die unfulfilled, having written no book at all. It's better to start the way you are and improve with feedbacks. The biggest room in the world is the room of improvement.

Creating enough time

Not many writers meet their financial needs and pay their bills through writing books. Therefore most writers usually have a supportive job. Coupled with other responsibilities, writers usually complain of lack of time. Creating time therefore becomes a war. Here is my suggestion. In order to overcome lack of time as a challenge in writing a book, the Why of the book must be very strong. It must be something you think of and get refired to write on. Set a goal for the book including starting date and date of completion. Set a price for yourself.

Lack of discipline

Some writers would rather spend more time telling people that they want to write a book or that they are writing a book. Others give lots and lots and lots of excuses why they haven't gone far with their book, instead of owing up and facing the work squarely.

But here is a working strategy - tested and trusted: if you are to write 50,000 words of a book in 3months, then deciding to write a minimum of 1000 words in a day is not a bad way to start. Discipline is the act of making uncomfortable decisions and sticking to it no matter what.

Usage of Words/Grammar

Many of us, even English native speakers, struggle with the choice of words and use of grammar. Some see this as a threat to their career in writing. By why the fear? Why not be who you are and allow yourself to make mistakes? Or are you a perfectionist? Well, even perfectionists make mistakes. Even perfectionists had a beginning...a humble one. Instead of worry about whether your written English is good enough or not, why not let your editor and proofreader do the worrying? If I were you, I'll rather get busy associating with people who are good with the English language so that my use of the English language will improve over time.

It is a true saying that practice makes perfect. So, spend quality time reading. Read quality blogs that focus on helping people become better writers. And more importantly, spend more time writing and writing and writing.

Finishing a book

It's often fun to start a new book. Wait until it's few chapters to go. This is when the struggle begins. In stead of letting your brain tell you to pause because the book is not good enough, deceive your mind with tales like you'll get a rewarded after completion. Suspend all other things and promise yourself not to take on any project or work until you are done with the book.

CareerHow To Write A Great Book in Nigeria by Manicle(op):
The rate of books that are made into movies nowadays is highly increasing, and the rate at which books, especially hardcopy are consumed these days has decreased. Yet, people don't joke with good books. Even the person who doesn't like reading sticks to a book that catches their attention. What's the secret?

Simple. Everyone is craving for something new - even you. And they will do anything and pay any amount to have it.

Let's explore some of the ways to make your book unique.

Create a Niche

Niche is like a shop in a market. A distinct one that is known for a particular product different from all others. In the same way people won't consume same meal three times a day, they won't be so interested in reading same genre, same storyline, same style of writing, same flavor, over and over again. So, what's your niche? What's the thing that makes you different from all others?

Here is how to determine the niche you want to go into. You'll ask yourself these few questions: What kind of a writer am I? What genre do I prefer writing on? What's my style of writing?

These questions and many more select you out of the very many writers and your book from very many books. It makes it easier for people to find your book and consume it.

To make answering those questions easier, and help yourself towards writing a unique book, look for something that's never been done before. Research other books in your field and on your subject so that you can find out what is missing from the marketplace. Fill that gap with something new, something different...something unique.

Tell Uncommon Stories

A book is remembered first for its stories. Some books just won't leave our minds, right? Among the books that made it to the top ten most-read books universally are Harry Porter, Alice in Wonderland, The Lord of The Rings, A Tale of Two Cities, etc.

These books have some things in common: good storyline, uniqueness, and adventure. People easily fall for that. So it is wise for you to follow the footsteps of great books if you want yours to stand right beside them in the future. Write something different.

So how do you come up with something different? Unlearn. Learn. Relearn. If you don't unlearn, the ideas that will jump on your mind are most likely the ones you have previously fed yourself with. And before you know it, you are writing another Nollywood story.

This is why if you are a writer, you've got to fancy consistent learning of new things, reading of histories, watching documentaries, buying magazines, watching adventurous movies, traveling to cities and countries and countrysides you've never been before. Reading other people's books can also stimulate new ideas.

Create your Style of writing and stick to it.

This is simply the 'how' of writing. So you might want to ask yourself the following questions:
Is my writing direct and simple, or is it funny? Is the grammar good enough? How is the use/play of words? If you are not so acquainted with these, I'll strongly suggest you baptize yourself in the school of writing.

Learn writing techniques, if possible, review people's books, before delving into writing your unique book. When you finally create your style of writing, build on it and more importantly, stick to it. When you meet Francine Rivers or Dan Brown, there is this aura you get. And that's owing to their style of writing.

Test Your Idea

Another way to ensure your book is unique is to test your ideas through other platforms. Throw it up stylishly on social media platforms including Facebook and blog; study people's reactions and feedback. By this, you'll know if your idea is good to fly on print or not. Good criticism can only make a book better.

Get a Professional Editor

Even if you are personally an editor, you still need a professional editor’s eye for grammar and punctuation. Nothing will make your book sink to the bottom of the pile like poor editing or no editing at all. A good editor will use a keen eye to make sure your book is correct and consistent and that your personal style, your voice, and your story come together in a way that is engaging for your readers.

Be Deliberate About your Book Cover

This may not totally concern you though. It is specifically for book designers, yet the essence cannot be overemphasized. The first temptation a person yields to on picking up a book is what catches the eye. If your book has some sort of red background cover with only title and name, you don't expect yours to catch the buyer's attention faster than one whose book is more pictorial and graphical in looks.

Creatively Title your book

After the book cover design, the title catches people's attention the most. The title is like the shortest summary of a book. Your title must both capsule the message in the book and at the same time be unique. It must be something that gets people thinking and wanting to read. Let your book title make people curious.

Some writers often have a clash of interest here when it comes to titling a book. While the writer is struggling to get a title that captures the essence of the book, marketers are thinking of a title that can capture the attention of people.

Write an Exciting Book Cover Copy

When readers pick up your book, how do they decide whether or not to open it up? For most readers, they turn to the back cover of the book to read that little 'About The Book' which tells them whether or not the book might transport them to a world they want to explore. Are these characters exciting enough? Do they have problems the reader will care to see solved? Does the cover copy create for the reader curiosity to know more?

It doesn't cost more to write a unique book. It only takes more creativity and sensitivity and a lot of thinking. Some though face several challenges in writing a book, and I have discussed that in my other article both on this website and on our company's blog www.manicle..com

Some of the common challenges faced in writing
a good book is viz:

Some have a good book in their head but how to make it into a book is difficult. Some just don't know how to put in words their thoughts. Some are affected by procrastination. Some is a lack of commitment or focus. If you ever need help in any of those areas, simply contact me directly via WhatsApp text or call on this number +2347080225737. And before you say jack, you are an author. Thank you for reading thus far. It means a lot to me.
Education15 Practical Steps To Writing Final Year Project For Nigerian Undergraduates by Manicle(op):
Many Nigerian students are still confused on how to go about their final year projects, even after the lecturers had explained to them. So I decided to simplify it here for you.

Here is a practical guide to writing your project. Let's get down to work.

1. Title page: This page will feature your institution name, title of the project, name of the author, purpose of writing such as 'in partial fulfilment of the course requirement required for the award of the B.Sc degree', and finally date.

Note that this does not apply to all Nigerian Institutions and Project supervisors, as some may have slight difference.

2. Approval page.

a. Name of institution and department.
b. A statement of approval for the work by the supervisor, head of department and external supervisor.
c. Signatures of all the aforementioned.

3. Dedication page: Here, you could dedicate your research work to a deity, spouse, parent, etc.

4. Acknowledgement: This is where you appreciate all that contributed in all ways, (technical, financial, moral, etc) to the success of the research.

5. Abstract: This is often like a quick summary of the research. It covers in a single paragraph the following:
a. Problem
b. Statement
c. Methodology
d. Findings,
e. Conclusion, and
f. Recommendations.

Usually in past tense, the abstract is not more than 100 words.

6.Table of content: This must include:
a. Main headings
b. Sub-heading
c. Page numbers.

7. List of tables/figures/symbols: The list should contain
a. Tag numbers
b. Page numbers.

8. Chapter One: First of all, the introductory phase introduces your paper with a substantial introduction stating the problem and the thesis that you will be arguing for. Think of this as setting the stage so that the reader can know what to expect this paper to be about.

9. Statement of Problem: This is often misunderstood by most academic researchers, especially in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
It is where you explain the problem as it related to your topic of research, and the analytical approach you intend to use, which in turn answers the question of why the research need to be done.

10. Purpose of Study:
Usually, it opens with the statement “The purpose of this academic research study is...'' which answers why the research must be done.
Furthermore, you will present the hypothesis that needs to be tested and other related questions.
Here, you will also determine whether you are using quantitative or qualitative research, and the instruments of research (survey, interview, questionnaire, etc.) to be used.

11. Chapter two: This is often a section for literature review, which centres on the work done by others. A research work is not complete without similar works done by others. Hence, the review of similar topics (giving credit to authors of cited works). Note: the referenced work will be paraphrased, except for quoted words.

12. Chapter three: Based on research methodology, it focuses on research design, procedures, the area, and population of study. It tells exactly which methods you will use in order to prove that your hypothesis is valid.

13. Chapter four: Data presentation and analysis (results, discussion, comparison with past results of other authors) in form of text, graphs, charts, etc, are tabled.

14. Chapter five: Here we have the conclusion and recommendation for improvement for other researchers with similar interest.

15. References/Bibliography: In this section, usually the last of them all, a list of all the relevant journals, books and all sources of information consulted in the research work, either online or print are mentioned in alphabetical order.
Plagiarism, which often stands as a common occurrence in research works must be reduced drastically, if possible, avoided. At the same time, all quoted and exact words of different sources should be properly referenced, in-text and at the references' list/bibliography using MLA, APA and Chicago style, the three commonest referencing styles.
Note: It is highly important that you list every source of research materials you used.

If you ever need any assistance in writing or editing your project, or you have any question as regards any aspect of your project, don't hesitate to call/text/WhatsApp me on +2347080225737.
I wish you the best in your academic endeavors.
BusinessImportance Of Social Media To Your Business by Manicle(op):
TV, Radio, and even friendship, are getting lesser attention today in comparison to social media. Social media and the internet world has gradually become a giant force that a lot of things, systems, businesses and ideas are changing to fit into it.

Even the most foolish CEO knows their business needs social media to thrive in today's world because that's where most of their target audience are.

When you gice your business brand the social media touch, you not only generate more business but also connect with your customers better and serve them on a higher level. It kinda makes your online marketing easier.

Here are five quick tips on why your business needs an online presence:

The Importance of Social Media to Your Business

1. Cost-effective:

Social media marketing is possibly the most cost-effective way of advertising. Creating an account and signing up is free for almost all social networking platforms. It is a different case though when you decide to use paid advertising on social media. Being cost-effective is important as it helps you attain a greater return on investment and hold a bigger budget for other marketing and business payments.

Just by investing a little money and time, you can significantly increase your conversion rates and ultimately get a return on investment on the money that you primarily invested. It all depends on how well you play your game.

2. Traffic Generation:

Social Media helps to increase your website traffic and the number of followers on social media pages. By sharing your content on social media, you are giving users a reason to click-through to your website. On your social account, the more quality content you share, the more inbound traffic you will generate while making conversion opportunities. And this will gradually lead to sales.

3. Brand loyalty:

The internet has made business in such a way that instead of you searching for customers, it is you strategically positioning your business at a spot where your target audience will notice you stresslessly. And this is very possible with social media.

4. Immediate response to Problems:

Social media affords you feedback on your product or service. And with the feedback you get in the process of social media marketing, you’ll be the first to know when there are issues – and you can take steps to resolve them right away. Consumers appreciate companies that respond to customer complaints.

5. Finding and Connecting with Unexpected Customers:

With keywords, tags, meta tags and hashtags, you’ll find customers you didn’t know existed. Using Twitter for marketing is great that way – telling people who want your products how to get them from your company is a plus to you.

If you ever need a social media manager for your business, don't hesitate to contact me on +2347080225737. At Manicle, we are result driven.
BusinessHow To Improve Your Business Using Marketing Strategies For 2020 by Manicle(op):
Your Marketing Strategies for 2020 - Istifanus Sarki

Are you surprised to read about marketing strategies for 2020? So was I when the idea came at first. But then I realized that whatever we will be facing in the market in the coming year is being decided by some people at the moment. So I thought, why don't we plug into to future from the present, so we can prepare better for it and improve our business?

Anything that successfully goes into your eyes, and/or ears without distraction, has tendency to influence your action.

Companies know that the short 30 seconds commercial when played more than once on different media platforms can go a long way to influence your decision to buy their product or services.

A local physician knows that entering buses, (especially the one from Oshodi to Toll Gate in Lagos) and speaking to people about his new found solution to a certain illness will cause people to respond by purchasing the drug.

Samsung spent millions of naira on 30seconds video advert titled 'Do what you can't', just to pass one single message. They'd spend more if they have to, just to achieve their aim.

My point?

Everyone and everything is seeking attention. Some for financial benefits, some for other reasons. This will only increase, not decrease. Trust me on that. But the real question is how can marketing be fully maximized in 2020?

Here are a few simple steps:

1. Pay attention to people's personality: if you want to sell children products, you should focus on their personality. How do they think? If you noticed, the Milo company came up with a clapping style for children that's unique to Milo. Virtually every of their adverts and banners suggests something child-friendly. This in turn attracts the children such that every time they think of tea, Milo comes to their mind. We know children like cartoon. Now you know why cowbell uses an animation of a cow to advertise. Here is the secret to paying attention to your audience' personalities: your audience don't care about anything but themselves. Also, they like people who care about them and about what they like. So, if you pay attention to what your audience like, and modify your product or service to suit their liking, they'd come to you for more. Pay attention to their major challenges too, and provide a solution that meets their needs, and they'll never do without you.

2. Pay attention to the environment: A quick example here, you want to go into selling of fabrics in a place like Lagos. What class of people are they? We know Lagos is the hub of Nigerian economy. Then how often do they go for ceremonies? Most of them can afford even the highest price, and not many in Lagos might sell the kind of fabrics material you want to go into. Besides, even if many do, not many people working in offices have the time to go to market to purchase such product. In this case, you do a delivery sales of fabrics by creating your shop online using social media platforms, website and using other eCommerce stores. Run ads until your potential clients see it on their mobile screen in their offices and make orders. Paying attention to the environment helps you to understand the challenges and how to fit in with a solution.

3. Pay Attention to Times and Seasons: You want to market a movie that just came out. You go on Twitter and realized Wizkid and Burna Boy are trending on Twitter again. It's a good time to hashtag the trending things and create a post that matches the current happening with your advert, and post it. You are likely to, in a day, get twice the likes and retweet you got in 2weeks. Christmas is approaching. Think of ways by which your product or service can serve your customers well, repackage it and market it to them such that they see the need and request for it. Even advertising requires paying attention to time. For instance, you can't advertise your fashion products on Instagram at 2am and expect people to wake up and see it. Because others would have posted something later on at 6 or 7am and overshadowed yours.

4. Invest in Ads: It may interest you to know how weekend came to being. Henry Ford, the man who invented motorcycle, told his workers to take a break on Saturday. He told them each to take a car from the factory, and drive it around the neighborhood until it becomes a desire in the minds of their neighbours, and they buy it. At a point, no one could resist the glamour, splendor and pride of owning a car, so people began to purchase it. Advert is when you place something that matches someone's desire, in their face, and their eyes being the window of their mind, receives it and the heart begins to desire it.
This is the reason there is hardly anything you do online or offline that you won't come across an advert trying to convince you to take an action. This is because people have spent thousands of naira and dollars to run these adverts. Even the pop corn seller by the road side advertises through the smell of his popcorn. No one is left out on the advertising. You should invest on ads.

Note: there are two major kinds of adverts: online ads and traditional ads. Some still make the mistake of depending on traditional ads such as radio, bill boards, posters, banners, tracks, hand bills, etc, that they fail to realize the world has gone digital. One of the fastest ways to get to people to see your product nowadays is online.

As a certified Google Digital Marketer, I can assure you, like Bill Gates also said, if your business is not online now, very soon, you will be out of business. Bike men are experiencing similar challenge now with the coming of O ride. Don't wait until they come for you. Be on top of your business.

If you ever want to make your business visible online (Facebook, YouTube, Google, Twitter, Instagram, Website, LinkedIn, Telegram), or market your product online, you can contact me on +2347080225737. At Manicle, we are result minded.
Music/RadioHow To Recognize Opportunities And Blow In The Music Industry by Manicle(op):
Today on How to Recognize Opportunities and Find Ideas, I'll discuss whether or not it's okay to have a mindset to ''blow'' and how to ''blow'' in the music industry and others.

People rise into stardom, people fizzle out. But the mistake is people don't pay attention to history. So, history repeat itself.

Is it okay to wish to 'blow' or be famous in the music industry? Yes. Is it okay to nurture the mind mindset of 'blowing'? Hell no.

And that's where you miss out on the opportunities around. I'll explain.

Have you ever had an experience of looking for something that's missing at home, and instead of finding it, you find something else that you don't actually need. And by the time you now need the one you are seeing now, you find the other one you were looking for instead.

The secret to (positive) stardom is, you do something that's valuable to people. People enjoy the experience, refer it to others, and the desire for more rises in them. Your fame spreads among them, and you become a star. Often times, people create value when they are after the value rather than being after what the value brings.

As a musician or singer, one of your first disciplines in the field is not singing, but listening. You don't listen well, you'll end up singing off key. In the same vein, if you want to thrive, why not listen to your heart and the circumstances in your environment? You'd be shocked by how much there is to sing about.

Singing itself is not just for the fun of it. Singing gives pleasure, but it also gives healing, and educates. One song I noticed is not attacked with bias is the famous 'You Raised Me Up'.

Person weh de find fame no go calm down get inspiration for that kind lyrics.

Recognizing opportunities in the music industry begins with searching for problems and attempting to fix them, not searching for fame, and attempting to belong.

So, how do you search for problems? I'll tell you. Don't sit with Small Doctor or plug your earpiece, increase the volume and get lost in Kiss Daniel's recent song. No. Not that they are altogether bad. However, they have done their part, what part have you done?

If you can't buy newspaper, read news online. Read history books, go to hospitals, observe, go to orphanages, listen to their story, ask for a time with old men, with wise men, sit with them and ask questions. Listen and learn.

Make friends, pay attention to them, study how they lives their lives; go under bridges, watch vagabonds live street life, go to church, listen to preachings, go to the beach, sit, listen to the sound of the waters, ''think'' think of everything over and over again.

Gather your thoughts, put them on a sieve, shake them, see what drops, and meditate more on the ones still hanging on your mind. Lyrics will come to you, melody will come to you, and when preparation meets opportunity, 'blow' happens.

Pray. Ask God for ideas and things to sing on. Close your eyes and shut your mind off distractions, pick up your guitar, jump on their piano, strike the chord, focus on God, and listen to the still small voice.

Never take a break. Aim. Shoot, don't stop. Fela Kuti of blessed memory came back to Nigeria after studying abroad, and, dissatisfied with the state of the nation, took it upon himself to remain restless until he see the change he wants to see.

Well, he never saw it, but, like my former boss calls him, he remained a 'prophet' whose lyrics are still relevant till today. He contended, not just with the government, but with a military government.

Person weh de find fame no go talk true. He was after something. And we know it's not fame.

At age 5, Michael Jackson was a star with bitterness in his heart. The bitterness was that he was deprived of his childhood because his dad would not stop until he became a star.

At age 30, he still had that bitterness, but he had something else, a burden for children who during his time were victims of war, not just career like him. If you noticed, his most popular and evergreen songs 'We are the World' and 'Heal the World' dealt with this concern. What is your concern?

You should Google the story of Don Jazzy, ASA, Burna Boy, African China, Tiwa Savage, etc. It will surprise you what got them to where they are.

Talking about Google, Google Play Store should be one of your best friends. Every month, new apps are made, while old apps are updated. Apps on music is not an exception. In a world where you can successfully produce your own music without going to a studio (except for professional levels), the sky is your starting point.

So, with the amount of growing technology out there, as a singer or musician, YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE! It takes your consistency in chunking out good songs, raps, and cool music. And in no time, you are in your little way changing the world, making it a better place.

About a year ago, my siblings did a video where they sang 'Blow Like A Mighty Wind'. Recently I checked my YouTube channel where I uploaded it, and the video has more than one thousand views already. The video was not clear, it was not professional, camera was blurry, and the background was not the least appealing.

Got me thinking, if such video can have such number of view, then we can do better with my Infinix Hot 7. Okay jokes apart, I realized my siblings and I don't need to be invited before we make impact, or before we do music. Social media is a big platform already. And a good starting point.

Usually I charge people for ideas on how to turn value to wealth (cos that's what I sell) but I'll give you this one for free. Have you ever thought of doing jingles for certain top brands.

For instance, compose a nice 4 line simple solo with an even simpler chorus for Access Bank, or for Peak Milk, or do a simple jingle for Glo. Give it your best music, do a video with it (talk to a video editing friend if you can't afford paying a professional), do an eye catching graphics design on it with the brand logo.

And then post it on all your social media platform, tagging and hashtagging the brand you did it for. You then ask people to like, comment and more importantly to share it all over their platforms. Do a freebie to that effect, that whoever has the highest share of the video on their social media platform gets a certain amount, or gets a certain bonus or stands the chance of getting a free jingle.

Do that consistently for six months. If the brand don't notice you, and call you, then other brands will likely do that. Besides, that adds to the credibility of your profession because you just used the medium to create a massive awareness of your brand/record label/self. And some brands may even think you actually worked for the brand you advertised. They may call you for negotiation. Bro/Sis, in a twinkling of an eye, your status has changed, influence and finance wise.

You are not seeking for fame, mind you, you are seeking to add value to them. And in return, you get the fruit of your work. There are many more ways to finding opportunities or creating some. But I guess we have to pause for now.

Do call/WhatsApp me on +2347080225737 for questions. And if you need promotion or consultation for your music career or business, feel free to contact me.
EducationHow To Improve Your Primary/Secondary School In Nigeria by Manicle(op):
Being a school owner, headmaster, principal or education administrator can be a whole lot of work. It's one of the most tedious work out there.

The challenges in it are sometimes almost unbearable. Some of the challenges faced include the following:

1. Payment of school fees: often times, parents pay their children's school fees late, while some give excuses like they have not been paid or the economy is bad.

2. Discipline: some parents have issues with the discipline system of the school. So, some proprietors, head teachers and school owners become careful of how they handle students in school. In a way, discipline is gradually watered down in the system, and lawlessness is encouraged among children for fear of their parents withdrawing them from school.

3. Having the right teachers: having a cooperating team of teachers, academic and non academic staff, is not something that's usually common.

4. Payment of teachers: while the head teacher (or whoever is responsible for the payments) complains of students not paying, the teachers are complaining about not being paid early. This creates pressure for both parties.

Here are a number of ways to improve your school:

1. Improve your value: There are some primary and secondary schools that don't have any of these challenges aforementioned. Instead, parents would trooping in to register their children. Parents count it a pride to have their children in that school. Teachers would beg to teach in such school. Students would do anything to make it to the school.

And the only magic behind it is the value they put into the school.

No parents want their children to be left out of a school that guarantees their children the following

A. moral education
B. Straight As
C. One time sitting for SSCE exam, and Jamb exam
D. Takes children out on tourism,
E. Have teachers that can efficiently teach in tertiary schools teaching in that school.
F. Have great people/heroes and public figures finish from that school.
Etc.
When you put value first on the table, everyone that needs it would not need a megaphone before they come rushing at it. In fact, they'll pay any amount to get that value.

2. Consistent Improvement: In an electric speed age as this, if you sit down with what you knew yesterday, you'll be overtaken so fast that you won't know how or when it happened.

The educational sector is fast changing. In fact, Nigeria's future educational system (which many schools are yet to step into) is already a past to some developed countries out there. While we are here battling with a curriculum that is outdated, teaching students how to solve problems that no longer exists, some countries are teaching their children to solve problems that are yet to exist. No wonder we ask jambites and ss3 students to solve PAST questions.

Look sir, ma, if you want to grow your school, make it phenomenal one, then you must not let down your guard on improving consistently.
Here is how to improve consistently
A. Attend seminars
B. Integrate with principals, administrators and teachers of the kind of school you want your school to be like.
C. Work hard on your school until your role models become your rivals
D. Organize consistent 21st century training for your teachers.
E. Observe your students and the trend of things.
F. Maximize technology
G. Read online on topics related to the 21st century school.
H. Copy your role models, tweak it a little, and make use of it in your school.
I. Watch your competitors
J. Study on the future of education, and be one of the first to implement it in your school, in line with your school's vision and mission statement.

3. Brand & Advertise Your School:
Does your school have a certain impression, feeling or vibe that people get when the name of your school is mentioned?
Does it have a logo?
Is your school on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter?
Does your school have a website?
Do people outside the school know about your school?
What are those things that make your school different from other schools?
Doe people know what your school's uniqueness are?

Advertising school nowadays, just like advertising soap, is no longer limited to traditional media such as TV, Radio, Bill Board, Fliers, etc. Helpful as they are, social media is a better advertising force. Your online media will not only reach people beyond the scope of your school, it will also extend the impact of your branding beyond.

Now, there are several other challenges facing schools and school owners, and there are several other ways to improve your school.

PropertiesNeed A House In Lagos At Cheaper Amount by Manicle(op):
How to Get Accommodation cheaper in Lagos.

I'll start off by saying it is possible to get accommodation cheaper in Lagos. And you don't have to struggle to get it. But I won't go without saying whenever anything involves money in Lagos, one of the things you must look out for is the trustworthiness of the person you are dealing with.

When I first got to Lagos, I lost a whole lot of money. But today, I know better. Okay let's get down to the point. Here's how to get cheap accommodation in Lagos.

1. Make the right search:
Whether it's a phone call or you are visiting the office of any real estate agency, be specific about what you want, where you want it, and more importantly how much you have. This will save you a whole lot of stress as they'd help you look for a house with the exact precision.

2. Meet The Right Agents: When you meet some agents, you spend a lot and get very little in return. Many have fallen victims of agents that will collect certain amounts from them to show them houses, and in the end, they are not satisfied with any. This circle repeats itself with other agents, and before you say ''Jack'', you've spent about N30,000 and you are yet to get a house.

At Homeland, we are very very aware of this, and that's why often times our clients are satisfied with us. We will sincerely let them know if we don't have a house that beats their specifications.

3. Timing:
Don't wait until December/January. Those times, lots of people are moving out of their house to another. Some are leaving to their personal house. During those times, demand is usually high for house, and that's the time most landlords deem it fit to increase the rent of the house.

So, in order to avoid competition, it's advisable to get the house earlier.

For further details you can always ask me. You can also call/WhatsApp me on +2347080225737 if you need a house in Lagos.

BusinessHow To Write A Business Plan That Will Attract Investors by Manicle(op):
How To Write A Business Plan That Will Attract Investors

Do business plans still work? Cos it looks like many have written business plans for their new idea or business, and it has not gone beyond that stage.

On the other way round, many had started small businesses without ever knowing what business plan is, or attempting to have one, and their business is doing fine and fetching wow results.

While ruminating on that, I realized why it don't work, and how it can work.

Business plans can help you get funding or bring on new business partners. Every investor want to feel confident they’ll see a return on their investment. And your business plan is the tool you’ll use to convince people to invest in your plan.

A good business plan guides you through each stage of starting and managing your business. You’ll use your business plan as a roadmap for how to structure, run, and grow your new business. It’s a way to think through the key elements of your business.

WHY YOU SHOULD WRITE A BUSINESS PLAN/PROPOSAL?

It's gives Your idea or business a structure. It gives you a proper definition of your business, and helps you to stay within your scope and be specific in the Value you give.

For instance, if you produce bags, or you produce music, having a business plan makes you to know what you are doing, why you are doing it, how you are doing it, where you Are doing it, when you are doing it.

It also helps you to measure your progress. As a music artiste for instance, your business plan will at least include what you will achieve in the first 6months of Your career, what you will achieve in the first 1year, 2years, 5years, etc.

It will also include the methods and strategies you will use to achieve your desired result. If you intend to drop an album once in every 6months, then you are planning on dropping at least 10 albums in 5years time.

This will move you to think bigger than you ever thought, but more importantly, it creates A structure for you to follow, that will enable you to achieve your desired goal. Third, it teaches you to count your cost.

No business plan goes without a budget for all proposed expenditures including Miscellaneous. And with counting your cost comes the instinct to plan towards generating capital for the budget. As a business proposal, it helps you to have an idea of what you are to present to your potential sponsors as the budget to be financed.

And in case you don't know, there are enough people out there who are willing to finance your project/business/idea especially when they see how serious and well prepared you are.

And at 90% of time, your preparedness is measured by the content of your business plan.

Your business plan tells them if you have made your researches well, or if you are just another lazy, unserious youth looking for opportunities to prodigalize. Yep, in case you are interested in your ideas being sponsored, you can try AYEEN. Its a trusted sponsoring body that helps young entrepreneurs throughout Africa. I once watched them on TV and they are credible and impressive. You should check out some of their 'project defense shows' online, and you will be jolted into the reality of being serious with your plans.

Other 'whys' to writing a business plan include the following:

You learn about your competitors, and your suggest how to stand out among them. You learn your Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/Threats. These helps you to know where you are strong, and where you need to be strong. Simply put.

Now, many don't write business plan for the following reasons:

1) No one around them is writing it.

2) No one around them seems to be talking about it or laying emphasis on it.

3) People are scared of the cost of writing it, especially when they give professionals to write it for them. (But they are not scared of the cost of a slowly developing, or dying business/idea).

3). People feel they can do without it because they see others 'making it' without necessarily writing a business plan.

4). Some are not even aware something like 'business plan' exists.

5). Many don't know the disadvantages of not having a business plan. And that's what I'll be sharing with you as I round off.

Disadvantages of not having a business plan

First, you will lose thousands of opportunities when they show. Because the only proof you have to show that you are worth the opportunity presented to you is your business plan.

A saying goes thus: luck is when opportunity meets preparation. But how can you be lucky when Tony Elumelo Foundation sends you a mail informing you that they want to sponsor 50 people's ideas with 5million naira each, and the first and best 50 businesses plans to be submitted between the next 24 hours will be picked?

Opportunity must meet preparation for 'luck' to happen. your business plan.

Second, like I earlier mentioned, your idea/business might not have a good structure like that of one who has a business plan and lives by it.

Thirdly, focus Will hardly be as high as some who has his/hers written down.

Fourthly, productivity will hardly be as much as if it were written. Lastly, lack of writing down plans in general is usually one of the main reasons we have jack of all trades moving from one idea or business to another without stability.

A clearly written plan that includes a well defined concept of your idea/business, SWOT Analysis, Competitors Analysis, Budgets, Structure of organization, Future Plans and deadlines for various projects, etc, will no doubt have a smoother journey in bringing one's goal to reality.
