Our PAYG systems are up to 2KW (8 units of 250 watt solar panels), and is enough to power up to 90% of homes for 24 hours a day.
For more information, you can visit our website at www.solyntaenergy.com, where you can also see examples of some of our recent projects.

Agriculture › Re: Preserve Fresh Tomato Paste For A Year (no Refrigeration Or Preservatives) by manmidtexy(m): 3:26pm On Jun 01, 2016 |
vanpeele: Hi everyone,
I'm happy to see how everyone's crying for the "common" tomato. Most people (wey get sense) will start preparing for next year by either farming, gardening, or preserving.
My first thread was on very cheap farming but here's another for preserving our darling tomato when it becomes cheap again.
With this method, one can store fresh tomato paste for over a year but guaranteed 1 year, that's if everything's done right.
What you need are 1. Tomato 2. Jam jar (it must be the sort you see in the pics....plastics won't work at all)
Step 1. Blend your tomato or take it where it's grinded in bulk (you don't have to squeeze the water out unless it's spoilt)
Step 2 Put the blended tomato in a pot (small or big depending on the amount blended). Boil the tomato till all it's water has evaporated and has become paste (try not to let it burn).
Step 3 Let it cool down. Scope some paste into a jam jar till it's filled up, then seal it properly with its cap.
Step 4 Put the sealed tomato paste in a pot of water till it's completely submerged. Allow the pot of water to reach boiling point, then leave to boil for 10-15 mins (don't worry...it won't break). Take them out of the pot and allow to cool. Put then in cartons and store in a cool dry place. No need for fridge. #Shikenan
PLEASE NOTE: 1. No matter the amount of jam jars you put in the pot of water, MAKE SURE THEY'RE COMPLETELY SUBMERGED BEFORE BOILING.
2. JAM JARS WHICH KNIVES WERE USED TO OPEN THEM WON'T WORK. Only normally opened jam jars would work because they're still air tight.
3.Once you open the jar, use the amount you need then refrigerate.
Feel free to ask questions. To be honest with you. I am hearing for the first but alot of experts responded that already have the info. But, one improtant issue you mentioned about Non-Refrigeration for preservation for 1 Year duration, you still mentioned refrigeration @ the tail end of your post. Is it after you open the each Jar for use because of air contamination or what you saying ? |

Ibinwanne: My name is uche oliver, I am a geologist. I work for OLIVE WELL NIGERIA LIMITED, the company is involved in borehole drilling, water treatment, geo-physical survey, soil test analysis, water reticulation, installation of over-head tanks, project management, environmental impact assessment, project quality auditing, etc.You can contact me through the following numbers 08036745944, 08099405096, 08084019485 or e-mail:olivewellnigeria@yahoo.com, bb-pin:7f7a69d7. Let me start with borehole drilling. In carrying out borehole drilling projects, there are certain tricks being played by quacks in other to cheat clients out of their money and the essence of this is for you to avoid such tricks. Before I go on, I advice every prospective client to entrust a geologist with his borehole project. The quacks will always tell you such things like, oga water dey very far from here, we need to drill up to 120 fts before we can get good water. The truth is that they are being economical with the facts and at the same time ready to compromise project materials quality, it is important for the client to be aware that we have different borehole types, depending on your water need and affordability. We have scientific modeled shallow borehole, direct shallow borehole and industrial(deepwell) borehole. Each one of these borehole types is designed to serve a particular purpose different from the other. In carrying out a drilling project, whether in the basement complex or sedimentary terrain, certain factors like underground water contaminants, depth of the fresh water aquifer, productivity of the well, septic contamination, mineralogical composition of the project site, salinity, etc, should be taken into consideration. At this point, a geo-physical survey is highly recommended. Geo-physical survey is a scientific method of acquiring geological and hydro-geological features of the earth through some standard recommendations and adopted applications. The acquisition of geomorphorlogical and hydrological data helps both the client and the geologist to make a better judgement. SCIENTIFIC MODELED SHALLOW BOREHOLE: This borehole type is specifically designed for challenging environments like lekki, ajah, apapa, victoria island, ikoyi, satellite town, sangotedo, lagos island, etc. It is scientifically modeled taking into consideration the challenges of underground water contamination in such areas, it is saline free, odour free, bacteria free, particles free. It is efficiently productive, antiseptic assured, neater, safer, sustainability assured and extensively durable. It is basically designed for private or domestic use. Thanks for this useful post. Will gie you a call when ready soon.... How much will it cost in Iwo road area of Ibadan ? |
Properties › Re: What You Must Consider Before Buying A House by manmidtexy(m): 11:11am On May 21, 2016 |
Love this educative and informative, shall need it anytime from now.
Buying a trouble free house is one of the most stressful things in life. If you don’t get it right, it will be a pain in the heart and selling it might be more difficult. Think about not just what you want today but what you might want in the future.
This article is about what you must put into consideration before buying a house. 1. Financial capacity: the more financially buoyant you are the more and better choices you have. This determines your choice of location, the type of building, whether you go for a onetime payment, mortgage or spread it.
2. Type of Building: family size, class in the society and interest determines the type of building you will go for. Do you go for a bungalow or storey building? Do you like sharing compound and go for attached, semi detached or terraced building. Do you go for a flat in a block of flats, a duplex or a fully detached building? You need to answer these questions to decide on type of building.
3. Estate or Community setting: Do you like estate setting the omo-onile type where you provide all your amenities like transformer, drainage, road, water, security. Or the standard gated estate where most if not all the amenities are provided by the estate management. Do you prefer house in community setting where government or individuals provide the basic amenities? Are you considering government owned estates like LSDPC.
4. Serviced or Unserviced Estate: In serviced estate facilities like drainage, water, electricity, security, road, waste management, generators and more are provided by the estate management. The owners of the building are made to pay specified amount mostly annually. You need to be careful with this because the charges become exorbitant with time in some estates and leads to clashes between home owners and estate managers. Unserviced estate you provide theses amenities yourself or by joint effort with other building owners.
5. Security: We always advice this should be one of your topmost consideration. We have seen situations where home owners move out of their own house to rent apartment due to security treat.
6. Professional Inspection: Even if you feel you trust the seller and your own inspection skill, hire a professional who check the structural integrity of the building, cracks, settlements signs, dampness, state of the plumbing work, electrical wiring work, roof and ceiling inspection, state of window, door, signs of fire in the past, finished level to prevent flooding of house and compound, surface and sub-surface drainage system, staircase inspection, has the house been renovated in the past, does it need renovation presently and availability of escape route to mention a few.
7. Vicinity study: Your building must perfectly fit into the environment, it cannot exist in isolation. Proximity to other buildings in case of fire can it easily spread from other buildings to yours. The type of neighbours, are they the once you can live with, is there any form of pollution e.g. noise from religious houses, fuel station water pollution from underground tank spillage or even risk of fire, any factory around with noise from plants, generator and fumes from its activities. How is the area in the rainy season, are trees close to the building, traffic situation. Look around the area in the night time, rush hour, weekends and morning. Good school around for the children, hospital, bank and possibly police station in the vicinity. Is it the best property for you in the vicinity?
8. Water quality: most house buyers always miss this out, but it is very important to check quality of water. This will save you a lot of money on expensive water treatment and you maintain a healthier condition.
9. Maintenance of the building: Some people buy homes they cannot maintain. The building might be too big, too large compound or finishes might be too expensive to maintain e.g. a house with wooden floor finish.
10. Adequacy of space and Ventilation: Check the size of all departments of the house e.g. bedrooms, kitchen, store, toilet, bath and living room make sure they are ok for you and well ventilated. Inadequate ventilation causes a lot of discomfort and high cost of powering air conditioner and even fan. External spaces for car park and possibly mini get together can also be considered.
11. Documentation: Check the building document and do a due diligence. Does the land have a C of O or Consent, is the building approved, are you buying from the right source.
12. Do not inspect once: Do not rush, don’t be a prompt buyer, do all necessary checks. It is advisable to buy during the peak of the rainy season. There is no perfect building but the precaution you take help in achieving a high level of satisfaction in your house purchase. If you are planning to buy feel free to contact us for an in depth analysis of the property, you will be glad you did.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How To Write A Good CV by manmidtexy(m): 10:37am On May 16, 2016 |
anticent: Writing a good CV is another skill that needs to be learnt. The job market is full of too many smart and intelligent people making it harder or almost impossible for average people to find jobs in all sectors. There are basic things to look out for when writing a good CV such as spellings, punctuations, and grammar. Do not be like a candidate who totally omitted commas on his CV and wrote his interest as ‘loves cooking dogs and interesting people’.
Without much ado, after working 5 years as a Recruiter within the Oil & Gas sector and still counting, here are the top tips to use when writing a CV that will definitely land you interviews.
1. Gather Experience Nothing will ever take the place of experience when it comes to job search. Many companies require that applicants have enough experience before they could be considered for a job, but how then do you get experience when you cannot find a job. The ugly truth is that many companies in Africa do not have the time to train newbies. They are always looking for people who can hit the ground running in fact they often prefer multi-skilled people (people who can do more than one job). It is even far worse in a recession market as the struggle for companies to survive increases in a recession time like this, the only people they are most likely see now are people who can hit the ground running and save the company from going bankrupt.
You should look for a friend, family member, friend of a friend, etc., who is currently running a business so you can join and work with them as a freelancer. If you are a graduate, you better not lose opportunities to gain experience by turning down job opportunities simply because they do not pay well. Smart graduates jump at the slightest opportunity of gaining experience but not money. Search for many online resources and even use simulations to gain real life experience prior to getting a job.
2. Never Start Your Employment Experience with Intern
A sure way to get your CV trashed by a Recruiter is to have your first job experience staring at him as an NYSC teacher. Do not be deceived, when a company advertises for a graduate trainee position, it does not mean they will automatically consider all graduate CV’s rolling in. You need to speak the language of the industry on your CV. I will advise you put your NYSC experience at the bottom of your job experience and find other related things you have done to be at the top even if they are not paid jobs.
3. Use Keywords
Many job seekers still do not know that they should write their CV’s like SEO Managers when submitting their CV to a company online. Many companies use an enterprise software called ATS(Applicant Tracking System) to receive pool of CV’s from job seekers. This ATS would have been fed with keywords, if these keywords are not found on the CV you sent, the ATS will not shortlist your CV to be passed on to the hiring Manager except you are lucky to have the Recruiter review your CV manually. For instance, if a company advertises for a ‘Trainee Reservoir Engineer’ position, the keywords you will put on your CV will likely be Reservoir Engineering, Trainee, Reservoir software, Evaluation, Reservoir modeling, etc. Of course you will have to make sure the keywords fit in a sentence on your CV. Always use the language of the industry you target.
4. Sell Your Skills
Writing a CV is like writing a business plan. When writing a business plan, you talk about how your business can be profitable showing all the details to catch the interest of the potential investors. In CV writing, you are the product. Do not make the mistake of selling your features (I am a beautiful and intelligent graduate looking…). No one truly cares if you are beautiful for a technical position, and I have not seen a CV where someone wrote that he was dumb. Everyone always says they are smart at first. Sell your benefits (skills you have acquired). If you are applying for a ‘Trainee Geologist’ position, indicate some of the software you have learnt on your own such as petrel, Mbal, etc. The Hiring Manager knows you are not a specialist yet but demonstrating your awareness within your industry makes your CV stands out form other graduates who just sent a no experience and no skill CV.
5. Keep your Age Confidential
This might work against you sometimes when you put your age on your CV. For instance some companies have age limit before they can shortlist candidates for interviews. Countries like Algeria more than often will not offer you a job or Visa if you are close to 70. Your aim for sending a CV is to land you in an interview, so avoid everything that might decrease your chances of getting an interview invite. In the real sense of it, your age should not determine your competence on the job; we all deserve a chance to prove our competence.
6. Write a Professional Profile
It is old fashioned to have ‘objective’ on your CV. Instead, write a compelling profile such as ‘An excellent Business Development Officer with over 2years of experience in the Marine sector covering DP2 Vessel…’ This is the place to flaunt the software and other skills you know of.
7. Never include Your Photo (except You are applying for a Modeling or Showbiz positions)
Using a photo on your CV does not increase your chances of being shortlisted for an interview except if required for the position you are applying for. People might develop wrong or good opinion about you based on how you look. Your aim is to let your CV land you an interview so avoid anything that might prevent it from happening.
8. Send Your CV in Word format(Only send PDF when requested)
Many ATS software used by companies cannot read PDF files. Most CV’s uploaded in PDF will be rendered in error therefore jeopardizing your chances of getting shortlisted. By default, always endaevour to send your CV in Word format unless otherwise stated.
9. Avoid Designing or Using Excessive Tables On Your CV
Tables often make it impossible for some devices or software to read certain part of your CV. This might decrease your chances of getting shortlisted as important information satisfying the requirements of the job you are applying for might have been shielded by the tables. Many devices are not table friendly so job seekers are advised to avoid using excessive tables or designing their CV’s. This does no good to applicants at all.
10. Do not Write Your Grade Except You Made Upper Class
Except your grade is First Class, Second Class Upper, Distinction, and Upper Credit, you should never put any other grade lower than this on your CV. If you made Second Class Lower, simply write ‘Obafemi Awolowo University, BSc. In Petroleum Engineering’. Do not put grade except it is upper class.
If you stick with these tips and incorporates it into your CV writing skills, I believe you should be closer to getting your interviews lined up soon. I shall be writing a piece on what to do when you have gotten an interview invite. Many candidates have ruined golden opportunities during interviews due to ill preparation.
Feel free to ask questions through this thread on how best you can write your CV or if you simply want to have your CV re-written professionally, I suggest you send a mail to consultant@petrolage-group.com Nice one |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Why Do Companies Outsource Their Services? by manmidtexy(m): 3:44pm On May 15, 2016 |
Princedapace: Take for instance MTN that outsourced their customer care service to ISON BPO
What does Mtn stand to gain? Why suffer agents who work under the contract? MTN must have paid ISON BPO for the contract, ISON PBO pay CCR between 35k to 45k per month which is too poor...extremely poor with no bonuses like recharge cards, devices etc. Graduates get to do this job because of the employment situation in the country. CCR work for 9 hours with 5 seconds interval between the last call and the incoming call, can you imagine as agents get to talk for an average of 5 hours pee shift non stop!!!!! Agents are expected to attend to 200 customers per day and agents must raise requests for each call. This is crazy. Agents are not allowed to use their phones and even to use the restroom is forbidin as agents are usually attacked when they make use of the restroom with the new software in the company known as Avaya!!. It is pathetic. Really pathetic. I'm sure when you check the amount of money Mtn must have spent per agent, it must be more than what ISON BPO pays to each CCR! Now, why outsource the service? Why can't Mtn employ these CCR, pay them above the ridiculous amount the company (ISON BPO) pay these staff? Why work when you can't use the salary to even maintain a decent home? Why work when salary cant even allow you to start up a family after spending years and money in school?/We are talking about graduates here? Is it that companies like MTN run away from paying workers bonuses? They can still employ these workers and pay them high and avoid bonuses and develop another term for them instead of outsourcing the service to contract companies who exploit these citizens of ours and pay them ridiculous salaries! It is completely unfair. People work from month to month and do nothing with the salary. You can imagine earning between 35k to 45k per month as a graduate in this economy of ours! When next you call Mtn customer care centre, please empathise with that agent speaking with you because he/she is suffering and not happy. As a CCR, your eyes, ears, back bones etc will suffer badly! They can't use their phone except during break time (30 minutes, 15 minutes and 15 minutes), to use the restroom is almost an evil as you get to be shouted at!! It is really a pathetic place to work! I still need to understand why companies outsource their services as contract staff get to suffer. This our country have really suffered most of us! Let us free ourselves of SLAVERY from coys like MTN that only have the selfish mindset to make profit without adding any value in this country with some SENATORS or past POWERFUL INDIVIDUALS that are SHARE HOLDERS but encourage by patronizing the INDIGENIOUS GLO WORLD..... I define it SELF OPINION . Even check some other countries of this world. They Run Monopolistic Business in all sectors and they still satisfy their people. Make your choice and drop or add your reasonable comments. If MAMA PEACE with proud ungodly characters in CCR & unhygenic environs in selling pea-nuts in my street because of no competition, then MAMA IJEBU, a new resident in the street sees her flawlessness in mama peace, she competes by packaging hers with Garri egba in a decent nylon thereby a lesson of challenge is thrown to her life to leave or adjust her life. Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is this fair on a job applicant? by manmidtexy(m): 9:31pm On May 14, 2016 |
It is very fair and more than Good...give me the recruitment or outsourcing firm name and i will agree to settle them for good 6 months so far the pay is good. prefy: I will like to find out your views on the terms and conditions of this company. They help people get jobs. They first test you to see whether you are qualified or not. They then work on your CV and submit it to the prospective employer. They also give you all the assistance you need before, during and after the interview with the employer to ensure you get the job. They do no ask for money while helping out with this but when you get the job, you are required to pay the company 50% of either your first two-month or 50% of your first three-month salary, depending on what you get as salary.
Do you think is fair enough for the applicant and the company?
Thanks. |
Technology Market › Re: In Need Of An Oscilloscope, 70MHz DSO available. by manmidtexy(m): 12:55pm On May 13, 2016 |
Nice one..very educative... God bless and flourish your works. dcole73: My first advice is "Google It". There are lots of useful materials and PDFs regarding this online.
Now, the briefs., If ur electronic project involves simply switching on/off a relay or LED based on only one measured variable, u may not need an oscilloscope.
If it incorporates an oscillator, microcontroller, or has to do with communication between two or more devices, then u certainly need an oscilloscope to view the signals or oscillations coz a multimeter cant do it. An oscilloscope displays these signals as waveforms for ur perusal. |

Crime › Re: This Lady Is Wanted By The Police For Engaging In Bisexual Activities (photos) by manmidtexy(m): 10:41am On Apr 29, 2016 |
Blackberrybabes: I came across this wanted poster from a newspaper. Seeing the young woman's picture, I wondered what crime she committed and I was surprised on reading it...
You would be too cos it's definitely not a "regular" crime...
She is wanted for engaging in Bisexual activities
See the full photo below:
http://www.blackberrybabes.com/2016/04/you-wont-believe-why-this-lady-is-wanted.html Before you quote or comment , NLders must always try to improve their I.Q like americans and some other countries. This lady maybe a prostitute or GF must have duped one of their oga or steal from one very High Networth Person in Nigeria. The advert is their best sick idea to declare her wanted. |
