190theclown: As an African kid back in the 90's

during the festive period's I and my crew used to get flat planks/wood

drill a small piece of hole on the wood with a 7" nail

fill it with matches cover with a nail and use a wood on the nail to create explosive sounds that were quite loud grin grin grin

we did this for years until a wood exploded and struck a kid on the head about 3years later then we stopped

africans always had a way of inventing things no matter how crude or dangerous it is especially nigerians

same way they had chewed kola and bathed with salt water a few weeks ago

I keep saying this. Should the world get destroyed today the last humans to die off would be nigerians grin grin

we invent anything
we call it bracket for my side.

PlayPays: It's fun to walk around the school and look for the "jonny just come" so to laugh a lil bit. That was how the ones we met here last fall use person laugh small. I'm not being a racist but Indians will always look funny to me while some of em still doing research on how some we Africans can fake the Canadian accent so perfect while they would be talking like they traded their tongues for the visa. I fear Chinese tho they're always the biggest competition in every science related program, they be looking like a new born baby who's clueless about the world but they be killing the grades. They wear the most expensive designers but be looking like "Aba made" on em.
What can I write bout fellow Africans? Gossips! gossips!! like Warri, Africans no dey carry last for anything. Na african man go enter bar ask for two glasses of 'chapmen' enter store dey ask for hot icecream cox the weather is cold. oversabi here and there, na me know pass, na my papa get the whole Canada. Kilode?!
grin grin grin i laff sote i wan mess.

duntano: Hello, don't know if this will help but. I finished a 3rd class in computer science. Don't even remember the GPA anylonger cos when I finished school I was done with computer science. I had worked as a sales n marketing person since I left school. I was given dat oppotunity den n I worked for more dan 6yrs.. I am also a self trained baker. Coown a bake shop.*i have never been at any cake training or anytin.. Anyways b4 I derail. My point is althou I had a 3rd class . I never gave up. I got a job, worked . Even nw as a SAHM I get jobs but cos I have nw focused my mind on becoming prfessionalytrained as pastry chef. I have nt allowed anytin get me down .. Look for what u can do with ur rare talent n work on it. Maybe the course u read in school isn't really wat u love.. Computer science wasn't it for me.. I know when I eventually get to canada n get properly trained. The universe will be unable to stop my star from shining for the world to see cos I know my strenghts and am going for it.. Don't let little things like GPAs from d past hunt u.. Think deep and pray to God.. U will surely know wat to do takia.. Hope I wasn't mumbling all thu thou. Takia
Thanks boss, I've had alot of thoughts in the past but is divided into 2.
1. To become an academician, since i seems to be the gifted among my siblings and there were lot of hope on me even till date my parent always believe that i'll one day proceed my studies.
2. Invest massively into agriculture, something i've had passion for since my teen stage and at a moment, i currently has some turkey i'm raising for fun and study, so also chicken, rabbit and guineapig. i did some simulation in GM feeds with a friend who recently defended her Masters Thesis at UI. by and large, i've really fall in love with school life and really want to get my ass back to school but not definately here in Naija.
and as for my grade, i wasn't extremely poor but i wasn't very fortunate. i had issues (health) during my final year and has 4E's in my 2nd semester 400L including my project, i wasn't even unable to finish nor to defend it but all the same, I thank God.

cman4good: @ManTiger; my oga your advise is needed, please see my first post, thanks
eeeh, Oga for where? I be learner o. As for the police clearance, its not compulsory and i believe CIC will have facility to readjust the shrink docs if not, they would not have recommended reducing the dpi in other to reduce the size of the mb.
Conclusively bro, i believe you have no problem.

degreat11: Exactly u really don't need dollars especially when u are not going to the US. A naira MasterCard will be just fine and the official exchange rate for CAD/NGN pairs
hovers around 145 to 150.
Yes, official but banks do rip off, i made a payment some days ago and was charged at the rate of 153.34 while official rate was just 148. Called bank but the dude was very unprofessional, laff at me on fonesad
