I have a Benz 190 lying idle for the past 5 years and I am thinking of swapping the engine with a Volvo 2.5 engine.

I want to know if this is a good idea as I find Volvo cars more reliable.

Thanks for your response boss. I have replaced the complete shaft (excluding the cup) though. It only got fair but issue still persists.

Please I need your diagnosis,

I have a 2010 corolla that seems to have an overheating issue.
bought it with the fan wired directly so recently I had it reset in July.
now the temperature guage rises a bit above middle point (about 60%) when the engine gets warm,
fan working intermittently as it should, also found out thermostat is missing
scanning sometimes reveals P0128, it comes and goes, the only other code is P0037 - oxygen sensor related

notable coolant loss but no coolant leak, although now that I think of it, I never actually fully filled the radiator since I bought the car late last year.
I also noticed that the coolant returns to the reservoir during sunny days

my mechanic suggested gasket replacement but I want to be absolutely sure it's the cause.

heard about combustion leak test for bad gasket,
where can I do that in Lagos? I'm around Maryland.

Replace your thermostat first.
And I think your problem would be solved.
Your coolant is just flowing freely without being controlled with the opening and closing of the thermostat at high and normal temperature, since you've confirmed that there's no thermostat, just replace it.

Also fill your radiator, and also fill the reservoir to the fill mark, try and bleed your cooling system.
To bleed, Start your car, switch your heater on to highest temperature, open the radiator cover, allow the car to steam the radiator fan should come on twice, then top up the radiator with coolant and close the cap, and your good to go.

Take the plate to FRSC, it can be repainted by them . Ive seen it done before.

I once experienced this on my corolla, engine rear mount was the culprit, replaced it and everything was fine.
So your kindly check the rear engine mount of you car to see if it's bushing is cracked.

That's not the mileage of this car, you're in trip a. Toggle the mileage know to switch to trip a, trip b and the odometer

I use camry 2007 LE, when I returned from church yesterday and parked my car without any issue. Only to noticed later in the day when I wanted to go out that the drive gear doesn't move forward, it was like everything was on reverse mode. I had to switch off the engine, waited few minutes and switched it on again but was surprised the kick or engine did not make a sound and other electrical functions like headlamps, dashboard and radiator fan works.

Please I need urgent help, am in Owerri.

My alternator belt normally cuts. I was told that my belt adjuster for was faulty. I replaced the adjuster yet the belt still cuts.
The mechanic said I should buy a shorter belt I bought it cut. He said I should a longer one I bought still cut.
The mechanic has checked all the pulleys are ok and they aligned.
What could really be the cause of this issue?
The car is Honda Civic 06

Google for the diagram of how the belt should be installed, maybe your mechanic installed belt wrongly

Get a mechanic that will tell you the truth, inspect the car, check the engine, and hope it's not burning oil, check the hybrid battery hope there's no error, if it's a Canadian car, check for rust, check the cooling system if fan is connected directly check for overheating records.

It's a nice car and even if it has some issues you still have the power to bargain on the price, so you can fix things to spec.

There are some truthful professionals here on NL pay them and let them inspect your can

Hi good day, pls I drive Hyundai Elantra 2010 model.. lately, it keeps coming out of gear while driving and sometimes it just goes off..my mechanic says it's gear oil shortage but since we changed the gear oil and top it, I noticed that oil keep dropping from under the car, and the car still continues to come out of gear while driving..

1 which gear oil did you use?
2 did you own replace or clean the filter when changing the gear oil?

Good day everyone, recently I had an overheating issue which caused the top gasket of my car to burn. So I had to replace the gasket and change oil cos oil and water got mixed. After that, I drove some distance from the machanic shop and oil alert popped up, idk why this alert is showing cos I literally just changed to oil, I had to drive back to the mechanic but it was too late so he said I should bring it back tomorrow. On my way to the mechanic shop today, the battery alert popped and Parked me on the road, had to jumpstart to car then drove it to the mechanic. Please guys, what’s wrong with this car?

The is350 doesn't use a 2GR-FE which is a port injection engine (MPI)and is ment for transverse application; it uses a 2GR-FSE which is both port injection and direct injection engine (MPI & GDI) and is meant for longitudinal applications.

That almost cause issues too, I had to support him with 50k to get the hall because I know who my dad is, he won't back out.

I didn't know how he did it, he took the hall and designed it, he bought cow too.

His family brought food and everything went fine and that was it.

I don't know what was keeping him moody until he spoke up.

He said I couldn't fight for him, I was there supporting my parents and watch them extorting him, did I even know he had to collect loan to pay for those things?

I got angry because he used the word 'extorting'.

Check your fuel pump and filter.
I had a case like this on my w203 last year, I just changed the fuel filter under the car at the rear, and the car start at first touch.

I don't think it's the weather affecting your battery, there's something drawing out current from your battery. Get a technician let him trace where the discharge is coming from and rectify.

I know an engineer using this Avalon as a daily driver for about 7 years and the car is solid, durable, spacious, the only down side of this car is it's low ground clearance.

Benz ML 400 started showing a dashboard warning to replace the coolant.
I have done that multiple times but I noticed it still keeps shorting the coolant after a few drive.
My office maintenance mechanic has checked and scanned but can not find any leakage anywhere and all the monitors look good and have no overheating.
So I am currently confused and need good hand to check and fix it

Check your radiator or coolant reservoir cover, check hose for crack and leakage, also check the colour of your exhaust smoke, engine might be burning coolant slightly.
