It's time to wake up and smell the coffee! Instead of waiting all year for a white-collar appointment that might not even be forthcoming, here are 20 small businesses you could start up with little capital while you wait for that dream job. You can start all these businesses with 20,000 Naira. 1 Mini cyber café Cyber café have gone out of fashion, true. But students still need to register for JAMB, WAEC, NECO, post-UTME etc. People who are not digital savvy also need to register for several things online including the very important national passport. This is where you come in. This small business can be started right at the comer of your house. 2 Recharge card printing The recharge card you use are mostly not printed by the big telecommunications giants you subscribe to. They are printed by everyday people like you. If you do your research well, you can start this business with as little as 20,000 Naira. 3 Fish farming Small scale fish farming is easy to start and requires low capital. You can start this right at your backyard with a large basin, few fingerlings that can fit in it and fish feed. However, I advise you do some in-depth research first. 4 Selling fairly used computers and TVs A host of Nigerians cannot afford to purchase brand new computers, laptops or TV sets. You could open a shop which collects used laptops and TVs and then sell them at a higher price, after refurbishing. Don’t see this as difficult, lots of people are already doing it. The first step is to get a shop or space, the rest comes with diligence. 5 Selling fairly used phones Just like the small business above in #2, this one involves little or no skill. It can be engaged in by anyone including students. Return on investment is almost guaranteed. Once again, diligence is key. However, I would advice that you carry out in-depth research on how to tell "good market" from "bad market". 6 Snail farming Just like fish farming, small-scale snail farming is also lucrative. It, however, requires that you take your time to understand how it’s done first. Source and more: http://www.sanwomi.com.ng/2020/02/ten-businesses-you-can-start-with-just.html cc: lalasticlala |

Islamic finance refers to the means by which corporations in the Muslim world, including banks using the EIBOR rates , and other lending institutions, raise capital in accordance with Sharia , or Islamic law. It also refers to the types of investments that are permissible under this form of law. A unique form of socially responsible investment, Islam makes no division between the spiritual and the secular, hence its reach into the domain of financial matters. Because this sub-branch of finance is a burgeoning field, in this article we will offer an overview to serve as the basis of knowledge or for further study. The Big Picture of Islam Banking Although they have been mandated since the beginning of Islam in the seventh century, Islamic banking and finance have been formalized gradually since the late 1960s, coincident with and in response to tremendous oil wealth that fueled renewed interest in and demand for Sharia-compliant products and practice. Central to Islamic banking and finance is an understanding of the importance of risk sharing as part of raising capital and the avoidance of riba ( usury) and gharar (risk or uncertainty). Islamic law views lending with interest payments as a relationship that favors the lender , who charges interest at the expense of the borrower. Because Islamic law views money as a measuring tool for value and not an asset in itself, it requires that one should not be able to receive income from money (for example, interest or anything that has the genus of money) alone. Deemed riba , such practice is proscribed under Islamic law ( haram , which means prohibited) as it is considered usurious and exploitative. By contrast, Islamic banking exists to further the socio-economic goals of Islam. Accordingly, Sharia-compliant finance ( halal, which means permitted) consists of profit banking in which the financial institution shares in the profit and loss of the enterprise it underwrites. Of equal importance is the concept of gharar . Defined as risk or uncertainty, in a financial context it refers to the sale of items whose existence is not certain. Examples of gharar would be forms of insurance, such as the purchase of premiums to insure against something that may or may not occur or derivatives used to hedge against possible outcomes. The equity financing of companies is permissible, as long as those companies are not engaged in restricted types of business, such as the production of alcohol, pornography or weaponry, and only certain financial ratios meet specified guidelines. Your Habits really determine your position or financial status in life. The position you are today is a result of your habits. Also the position you will be in the future will a result of your habits. If you want to get richer or more wealth in life you need to adopt habits that will make you achieve your goals. According to Thomas C. Corley in "Change Your Habits, Change Your Life," a culmination of his research on hundreds of self-made millionaires writes that “habits are the cause of wealth, poverty, happiness, sadness, stress, good relationships, bad relationships, good health, or bad health," In this new year 2020 many people will make new year resolutions and adopt new behaviour which is a good thing. Being consistent through out the year is what really matters. We will take a look at habits you should adopt in 2020 to get richer. 1. Live within your means. Wealthy people avoid overspending by paying their future selves first. They save 20 percent of their net income and live on the remaining 80 percent. Among those who are struggling financially, almost all are living above their means. They spend more than they earn, and their debt is overwhelming them. If you want to end your financial struggles, you need to make a habit of saving and budgeting what you spend. Here are some sensible ways to budget your monthly net pay: Spend no more than 25 percent on housing, no matter if you own or rent. Spend no more than 15 percent on food. Limit entertainment—bars, movies, miniature golf, whatever—to no more than 10 percent of your spending. Vacations should account for no more than 5 percent of your annual net pay. Spend no more than 5 percent on auto loans, and never lease. Ninety-four percent of the wealthy buy instead of leasing. These folks keep their cars until the wheels fall off, taking great care along the way so that they save money in the long run. Think of savings and investments as two completely different things. You should never lose money on your savings. Try to stash six months of living expenses in an emergency fund in case you lose your job or your business goes belly-up. Contribute as much as you can afford to a retirement plan. If you work for a company that matches your contributions up to a certain percentage, great. Always take that free money when you can get it. 2. Don’t gamble: Source and read more: http://www.sanwomi.com.ng/2020/01/habits-you-should-adopt-2020-to-make.html

Slawormir:are you Matti NCOs d kitchen look like Matti own |
Ibegtodiffer:The cards are not owned by the banks but other company. It is normal that they charge for cards everywhere. It is not a matter of minimum wage. Even in SA the charges are high as 50R per withdrawal which is much for their 50R per hour minimum wage. |
Mightyhaiz:I didn't say that they hate Yoruba. But they hate all Hausa even the good once in them. |
Advocate500:You will find more Igbo and Hausa man in Yoruba land. But it is difficult for you to find a Yoruba man in Igbo land. And Igbo man told me that it will be difficult for another tribe to own a land in Igbo land while many own land in Yoruba. Igbo companies are mostly filled with Igbo workers. Yoruba Muslim are not tribal they voted for ambode, sanwolu, makinde and oyetola who are Christians in Yoruba filled Muslim states. If Igbo have good candidate why won't Yoruba vote for them. Yoruba's only care about their better lifes not fighting. but igbos don't mind voting any candidate as president not minding the region. That's a lie you are saying it for the sake of argument. We all no Igbo won't vote for an Hausa man. They can still vote for Yoruba. |
Kingspin:Is Fulani herdsmen are associated with Islam then Niger delta militants should be associated with Christianity. I have talked to Christians to but they pretend to like Muslims but they don't really like Muslims. Some will abuse Muslims in front of me because they think I am not a Muslim. My friend families who are Muslims relocated from the North to Osun state because of crises. |
MaNyEsq:Treason is an act of war against the state or government. You said people should be given gun to fight the herdsmen and govt. I don't care about herdsmen but government is a treason offence. You can defend your self but if it is with gun they will be more harm than good. Seriously have you seen any community with a lot of guns and they is peace, they are people every were. When people get guns they will use it for they are not meant to use it for even against their own religion people. Then if you watch NTA very well a lot of them have been caught. Even the with the once that kill herdsmen and use their cows to cause evil. You can say NTA bias but if it is not true they will not show them with their weapons and cows. |
yanabasee:miss quoting the guy, he did not say all Hausa's like him not all your tribe members will like you. But the fact is that Igbo hates him. I am a Yoruba guy but Igbo are really tribal, the hate Hausa's no matter if the Hausa do good to them. But although Hausa are tribalistic and hot tempered. |
Ibegtodiffer:yes they call it hate because people like you. Do your findings, study very well before commenting. Card maintenance free is not illegal and is even cheaper in Nigeria compare to other countries e.g SA. It is not done annually. |
Davash222:Sorry to interfere in your discussion. but that statement is wrong. If it is true that means we are all pigs because we know pig when we see it. Pls ooh I am not a pig. |
MaNyEsq:That's a treason offence you just committed, you want to start a war but it is the beginning of war you know you don't know the end. You may end up regretting when you see people suffering more than before and wish the fight should have not started as it has happened in many African countries. How did you know Nigeria government backed Fulani herdsmen up, please be sure of anything before you pass false news. If it is not true nkoo. Muslims attacked by heards men too what should they do. |
Dpharisee:Source, that's not true. Do findings very well. That's the problem you guys should get your facts and don't be used as another person political tool because of your passion. Please every body has their life to leave. we to make it life than just fighting over another issue. leave your life and pray to your God. If you die fight you just die. |
Enculer2:I am Muslim not terrorist and tell me one lie that lied. But I have check a lot people that pretend to be Muslims on this forum that support jihadism that said Christian should be killed but they are actually Christians just pretending example "FactBoyz's". check his comment and check his profile. That's what happen in the real world. |
chuckdelis:Understand me clearly I did not say they are not Christians but did they separate them in the school and let only Muslims go. I can name many Muslim leaders boko haram has killed and many central mosque they have bombed. |
All this things are just tactics to destroy Nigeria. When boko harram kidnap the girls in borno, did they separate the Muslim from the Christians and kidnep only the Christians. That some Fulani herdsmen are Muslim does not mean that it is backed by Islam. When they attack do they free the Muslims and attack only the Christians? A lot of armed robbers are christian, do we have to associate Christianity to their deeds. Muslims suffer more from book haram. Almost everything in Nigeria is tailored towards Christianity from secondary school praise and worship, to banking with interest, to TV shows, to school dressing. Just tell me one general aspect of Nigeria lifestyle that Muslim have dominance. Even my house I can sleep at night because about 4 churches surround my house. |
I don't know why one person would be speaking for the whole Nigerians. You would I behind you, do you know other people mind. please people should stop generalizing. |

Why don't we always talk about how to make receiving money easy. We should focus on receiving money than paying. It's where Nigeria government need to work on. PayPal, netteller etc. Allow Nigerians to pay but not withdraw money it's bad and make alot of money from Nigerians. We just import. |
