If you move around Lagos and mostly other parts of Nigeria a lot, and a young guy or girl, you must have had one or two encounters with police officers, good, bad and maybe frustrating. Let me begin by sharing mine, i was traveling by road with a family friend to Abuja, when we were flagged down by police officers at a checkpoint. They asked for the car papers and after seeing everything was complete, they now focused on me and said I looked like a yahoo boy and they wanted to search if i had any incriminating evidence, so they begun by searching my traveling bags, and if you travel a lot, you know how tedious it is fitting in all your clothes in the bag, anyway they scattered my clothes and didn’t find anything. They left it for me to arrange and naturally i was pissed and asked if they would like to search the socks and shoe i was wearing as well. The officer got angry saying i was rude and he was the officer in charge of the checkpoint, he then asked the other junior officers to take me to their office and make sure i was searched thoroughly. They searched my phone, laptop, and everything they could find. The painful thing about it was that the policemen searching the laptop and phone could barely operate it, and when they found nothing, they delayed us for over 3hours before angrily allowing us leave. It wasn’t scary, it was just annoying people could take advantage of power and i couldn’t do anything about it, and i started to wonder, what if they decided to plant the evidence in my bag? what if i was detained? like do we even have rights? So ever had any experience with policemen? Share yours. Source -http://bbs.tecno-mobile.com/forum/forum-feedback/24721-my-police-experience |
Yes I heard its possible but let's say they phone you buy is 41k then it gets stolen by chance, is it gonna be worth the time and effort chasing it down? |
A power bank along side will go a long way |
It's a bit lengthy but do read Last week Friday to be precise, I went to see a friend and the bus I took dropped me at the other side of the road. I had to cross the busy express and there was no pedestrian bridge, honestly I hate crossing express roads, I would rather go find a pedestrian bridge. Anyways I had no choice so I prepped myself, I had headphones on, the one that comes with the J8, it was loud but I could see where I wanted to cross, so I didn’t need to take them off. As I was about crossing I saw a woman with two kids, a baby on her back and another girl around about 8years tagging along. She said something and honestly I assumed she was begging which was usual in Nigeria and I walked away with irritation, there was no one else walking except us, I wanted to even run self before they jazz me and steal me , but I looked back and I saw she was sill following dragging her child along. So I removed my headset and asked what she wanted, and she said she wanted me to help her cross with her kids. For a grown woman it was a Strange request but I obliged her, I was still weary so I didn’t touch or hold any of them, before I touch someone and I vanish, don’t blame me I have heard stories. So we crossed the first part and got to the demarcation at the middle, my mind just told me to hold the smaller child as we were about crossing. Before I could say jack, this woman just sprinted through the oncoming traffic, the car coming barely missed her, before I could finish recovering, the younger child I was holding ran trying to follow her mum, thankfully I just pulled her back as the car sped past screeching. When we crossed people were gathered shouting at the woman and thanking me. I was shaken, because I almost didn’t wanna hold that girl, she could have died and how would I have felt? I could have felt responsible for her death forever. I know there are a lot of people cautious of others, but how do we now select or find out the people who genuinely need help? Well I learnt a valuable lesson that day thou, an act of kindness could save someone’s life, don’t forget that, ever. |

Chooi I hate computer village with passion at times. That's how one bastard scammed me of 5k and was telling me I can't do anything. Very annoying people they have no conscience and sadly the head phone is one of the important part of that phone. You will be fine sha it happens |
Pls in as much as I don't exactly like either that much, I would choose MI anyday |
Well imagine watching a movie... On a screen , the bigger the better + the j8 is quite slim, so your hands should still be able to work around it. |

ibibiofirstlady:Naaah I was even nice..read her post up. |
They aren't really from what I heard. But I think they are allowed to randomly stop and search if you look suspicious, that's the power they misuse. Major criminals have been caught that way. Then again knowing all that it's still pointless saying no when they ask for papers + if your documents are complete no one is going to force Yu to give a bribe from the ones I have encountered, at most you say no or when you come back. Works everytime. |
Don't mind all the haters. Date the man, life isn't hard. So that when the wife should douse your face with acid we will hear your story on news. |
Yes they are.. But it's a consulting firm. Small but legit. Go if you can. |

I once met one lunatic like that. Mine was a cat though.... Yes i have a cat, it's understandable if u Dnt like cats, I keep it away from people who don't like it, some people do or some come in and see its nice an wanna play with it. This crazy girl after coming to my house 2wice asked me to kill my cat and send her the picture before she comes to my house again. I don't even like the cat like that per say but we weren't even dating... Like WTF.. Tomorrow she would want you to get rid of something bigger. See good ridiance... Tell her to duck off, if she liked you she would have adapted to the dog. |
Well.... Like i have said before, the name is what people hate. People refuse to forget them from their loud assd cheap phones. They have improved though, and I doubt everyone hates it, just a bunch of people do so get if u wanna. |
Lol u r just a dirty person... But I feel your pain |
