The difference is that despite the fact that there's really no difference between Tinubu and Ibori, the latter has been convicted while the former hasn't. Besides, you don't see people trooping to the streets to celebrate Tinubu. it's agreed that all over the country, some people worship tieves and politicans but what i see in the Niger Delta is absolutely ridiculous and shameless to say the least.

I think after the North, the South-South (Excluding Akwa Iboma dn Cross River) comes next as far as shameless human worshiping is concerned. This is the only place where criminals are celebrated in the open even by people in the highest political offices. Lack of civilization is really a problem to many obtuse Nigerians. These guys will never be invited to the cool indoor parties. Parading with banners is just vacuous when there are media outlets and celebrities who can do the job with prestige for some cash. Apparently, they look more like people mourning a dead. How will these men tell their children what they are out in the sun doing?

Prof Osinbajo is only mentioned as helping the Judge evade justice. This accusation almost ended the career of Chief Mike Okoye, the erudite Lagos-based Anambra lawyer. He had to quit practising law in Lagos. It was Prof that saved him from long jail term after he confessed that he lied against the Judge.

The fact that the judge dismissed the case without even allowing a trial says it all. The anti corruption war is doomed if every arm of government keeps protecting their own from punishment.

The executive protected Babachir Lawal and Abba Kyari from prosecution even when weighty allegations were made against them. The National assembly rallied round Saraki and Dino despite the serious corruption and certificate forgery allegations against them. Now, the judiciary has also joined the fray by protecting one of their own.

The federal government should not waste time and resources appealing the high court judgement. They will get the same outcome at the appellate court. The president should start by taking action against those accused of corruption in the executive. That is the only way to send a strong signal that he's serious about the war on corruption.

Its really quite really sad that we have a senate that has refused to pass a tangible legislation that will indicate the seriousness of the issues of bring the nation out of recession and kick start the the economy. But will shutdown any attempt to questions the cabals within them.

In as much as i have my reservations on the continuous insistence on Ibrahim Magu for confirmation. The senate aggressive opposition to his candidacy leave much to desire and appear mischievous.

These selfish & mischievous intentions of the senate is of course the main factor generating public sympathies and support for Magu. And this is why i personally think Magu should be uphold by the presidency.
