Just one question - do those people paying N350 get issued an official receipt?

The affidavit is to be done on your own,not even at Naptip premises or surroundings,its only the format that they pasted on their premises wall for pple to use. Some did theirs from federal high court at the island and some did it right there at GRA in ikeja (there is an high court there, but far from naptip office). Receipt were issued to those that did it. See let ask the bearer of this info here to get us evidence and facts. Nobody paid to any Naptip staff and if anybody pay,let him or her identify who he or she paid to. Those that are spreading this wrong info will still end up to go there and collect their own, let see if they will show us then that they pay any amount

I wont reply anybody in particular,but i will strongly advise us to get our  info right. For those of you staying in abroad, try and get someone to make findings for you. If you claim that i am working for NAPTIP today and not CS well you are free to your opinion,that doesnt change who i am.but i believe we should get it right and not be obsessed with this issue. Why do we need an affidavit to get a missing driver license. Ask yourself this question: Did NAPTIP collect this pp from us,NO. They got it from a raid oon CS premises,so you believe they wont ask us to get an affidavit to collect it.We if Naptip and the high court are now doing that together,who has proof. See let those that are supplying the info get us proof, some people have collected their pp and they didnt pay any money. Those that paid why didnt they ask what the money is meant for. Well if is another scam,time will tell,but for us to believe affidavit is not necessary in getting our pp back then we have miss something here.

I wonder why people fail to understand that getting an affidavit is a due process in our quest to get our pp back. Those that collected today should let us know if they pay the money to naptip or high court purse.

I wonder why some people will sit at home and just conclude on issues. Will affidavit not be necessary to collect a pp back?(technically our pp is missing,so far they were retrieved by an agency for us). If you approach any law enforcement agency wont they ask for affidavit. Is affidavit free at the high court?

All nairalanders, please dont be misled.naptip are not the one collecting N400 OR N350.Its just a fee to be paid to get affidavit from the court.

As earlier said, the issuance started today and the first 500 applicants according to naptip list collected today. All applicants need to go there and know the date that their name falls on. Mind you the processes will be on till november 4 and we will get an affidavit of N400 in order to get the pp back. The affidavit is one of the requirement NAPTIP need to return the pp. Mind you,some names are missing on the list, but yet to know why. It advisable to get there and check the list first

yes they said this week,but we should also know that they have other cases as important as ours to attend to. As at today,the information i got from them was that if they dont paste it tomorrow, then it will be tuesday next week(monday public hoilday) and when comin,come with either driver license,voters card or national id card. Also come with a passport photograph.Everything still come down to us being grouped and each group given a date to come. Prepare to write how you got involved in the programme and the amount committed spent or paid too(just a brief testimony) because we will be ask to write that,  As at today,thats the information i got from a phone call made to those incharge at their office

Well, the deed has been done to us all, it is a shame and pity to some of us that we fell for this kinda scam. Thanks to the heroes here on NL. I was part of this trend since it commenced here. People like Justwise and co, I salute you. Mariofemi, you are just a double mouthed person, still watching you. I pray that we all retrieve our PP back and move on with our lives differently. we've all learnt one or two things from this forum. I thank the creator of this community, kudos to you too. I listen and read peoples complain on here, the advice, the fight (good & Bad) and I felt so sorry for US the victim. No matter what happens to man in life, it is an experience. Let me just answer you in few sentences. I stood for what i believed in then,and i am standing for what i believe in now, dont i have the right to pick my stand. Do you think you and i were the only one this guy deceived,well for your info apart from the immigration woman involved in the scam, immigration staffs too believed in it and brought their people on board,Alagbon DPO too brought in his people thinkin it was real, my pp and that of my wife and son are there too. I knew other speakers and few of us joined together to write petition that helped us to where we are today. If fred is brought to book,me and few others (petitioners) will be asked to testify in court and not you.I believe this has answered you questions,but if you are not ok with that, you can go to naptip and tell them more than you know that can also help them. It better you start praying to God to help you rather than concentrating your energy with me.

@jaypee4r, the NAPTIP Boss said the list of all applicants will be pasted and grouped on their gate and each group will be given a date to collect. sms will be sent out to all.

@mariofemi,i noticed in your point that all p.p were eveloped,is it only passport is there or any document attached to it?i heard that some p.p already have canadia visa on it,is it true?kindly reply this.

We do not have anything against Mr. Friday. Our contact just wanted to be sure that he is not on the side of anyone hoping to take advantage of this 2nd step of retrieving passports. During our initial attempt to intervene he was not in the picture, only for our contact to receive information that he gave away his cell phone number to CS clients who might need to keep tabs with developing stories on the CS issues.

We just wanted to be sure he clean--if that's verifiable. We have no problem with him for now, just surveillance.

To all truly concerned,
First, does any one know for sure if a certain applicant going by the name Friday, with cell phone number 080225577xx truly independent?!

Second, with all the passports now with NAPTIP the next big step is for all the respective owners of these passports to collect them without being surcharged by
a) Unscrupulous volunteers or agents serving as representatives of the aggrieved, contributors on nairaland volunteering to help people e.t.c
b)NAPTIP officials, the Police, EFCC or other independent law chambers offering to offer 'free' legal services

The efforts of certain representatives attempting to ''work'' along with NAPTIP in order to retrieve the "hostage" passports is fair and reasonable, but caution is needed every step of the way: Since CS clients are without a legal representation for many issues that might come up, then they may become the sitting-duck of every authority who has possession of the passports. Take caution whenever delays in the release of the passports begin to occur as it might be a ploy to extract money by frustrating the owners of the passports.

We understand that it might take 7days after the 26th before passports will before released!

It might therefore be the right time for all who truly need to get their passports as a first step to know their rights in this situation i.e a situation where an agent has failed to deliver a service and has decided to abscond/desert. The owners of these passports have not committed any crime on account of giving their passports to CS Management.

If you still have not engaged an attorney (sincerely no short cuts to some of these things), it might be good to make sure that you can trace your agent to his/her home just in case---

Finally. for all those who have their passports with CS management - you can do a letter to NAPTIP signed by up to 2000 persons with the aim of submitting it to the authorities as soon as you find that unnecessarily delays to release the passports are rearing its ugly head.

@Canimserv, you have spoke the way it should.i wouldnt have talked on this if not that you have said it all. This is what naptip told us today when we visited their office for situation report. As from monday they would have being through with sorting of the passport,because all the pasport were all sealed in a brown evelop each and they have to tear them,and write out the names and take record of all pp.this alone will take them about two days to do (mind you they have other cases to attend to). They said after doing this,they will invite immigration to come and verify (met immigration personnel with naptip boss when we visited the office) and do the handing over to applicanst right in their office because if they should hand over all the pp to immigration ,, hmmm!  well lets leave that.On monday,a list of all the names will now be pasted and grouped with date, and a txt will be sent out since ronke is in their custody and she is with the full list of all applicants. The date which a group falls is  when applicants will come to pick their pp up and sign. They said according to the law,immigration must be notified since it involves a large number of pp.

If anybody is claiming any amount to give pp back,kindly bullshit the person.nobody will collect any pp on behalf of anybody.you will collect your pp yourself. Dont fall for any scam again.

For your info,those cartons would have been waiting there to be picked and destroyed by angry ones. Secondly, is there any pp with 2yrs workin visa to Canada among those ones u found in CS Office? I asked this questios cos of wat u said at CS office on Monday, 12/09/11 "withdrawal application with  1.5m, if pp has Visa on it". By now, if you are smart or sharp in thinking you should have know i dont get intimidated. Please i beg you to hand over that video of yours to the necessary authorities. Its obvious you are an applicant, but what have you done to even salvage the situation. My effort and that of some applicants are obvious on monday and tuesday (we wrote the pettition against CS that NAPTIP and the Police are using to work). Please go back to your video recording and watch again,and you will know that i was quoting Fred when i was passing my message (i guided my statement because of people like you). Let me ask you this, have you seen you passport and is there a visa on it ?(if you are still expectant by now). If you now see this visa,is it genuine or fake,and who will you pay to(fred at large or who) ?. Mr sit and think about all this and you will get an answer yourself
