Please, i need information. I got married and changed my name. Now i want to apply for a new visa and was thinking that i would need to change the passport. Does anybody know the procedure, i found out from a friend that the procedure is really onerous and i have to go to Abuja to do it.

Does anyone have a clue? Do i even need to change my passport or i can use my old passport to apply for the UK visa?

Hello, i am having similar problem:

I was born in Enugu on the 21-06-1984 of which at the time there was no birth registration at the village where i was born. Having lost my both parents at

the age of 12 and 13 respectively, me and my siblings moved to lagos. In 2007 when i wanted to travel, I applied for an international passport and the

immigration authority asked for a birth certificate which i did not have because my birth was not registered. Someone advised me to go get one in any

competent authority in lagos which i did but the date of birth in the birth certifcate given to me was 21-06-1979. I contested the date on this documents

but the authority in charge said that, that was the birth record that was found on me and thats just the way it is. Because i didn't have enough time to

continue fighting this, i used this documents to apply for international passport. Now my passport reads 21-06-1979 but every of my other documents

such as drivers license, high school diploma etc carry my original birth date. With this rather false age, i now have a German residence and would be

due for naturalisation soon. My German wife already knows about this mess and thinks that i have to change it but we do not know how and whether

such changes would bring about negative consequences from the German authority (regarding my residence in Germany). My question is, am i ever

able to rectify this mistake? if so, how? my passport expires in few months time.
Any constructive advise would be helpful.

Going through most @justwise posts on immigration I've realized that this guy is nothing but a lil devil incarnate and unmentionable. You're always complaining about sham marriage while neglecting the actual factors that led to such in the first place. You claim you don't have any resident permanent but always criticising those who'd love to have it. I don't care how they go about their business.

Attacking those that which to help does not make you any better human being. May be you're just a frustrated b.a.s.t.a.r.d. I will admonish anyone who know how people can stay in the UK legitimately without using any false documents to continue to do so. Like @paris10 rightly said, you don't know what people are going through. Some have sold all their belongings before going to the UK and would not want to come back empty handed. Instead of a slow still birth like you to come to their aid, you're busy breaking and killing them.

I'm one of those Nigerians who will never do anything to bring shame to Nigeria, i stand against everything shameless muppets like u stand for, i don't have a permanent stay in the UK and i'm not ready to become one of your victims. I never lived in council house, never claimed any form of benefit and not ready to do that by God's grace.

The difference between me and you is that i'm not into scam while you live and bread scam.
