In theory, if you clean your phone's thumbnails, the cache and RAM memory should cleaner and less used, so it should run faster.

A screen change is not related to storage or your phone's software. And they shouldn't do the factory reset and erase your data, unless other parts of the phone are damaged, which I highly doubt it.

You can't really block or lock it once it was stolen.

Even if your laptop has a password, somebody can bypass it or simply format the whole HDD and use your laptop as a brand new.
