Is your phone only not charging or doesn't recognize the cable at all?

Buying the most expensive phone is the same as buying an overpriced case. Because on the inside, hardware and software wise you will have the same features as a phone that costs a few hundred $$.

Have you cleaned your charging port until now?

It doesn't look like much but a lot of dirt, dust, and puff gets into the charging port and it blocks the charger.

You can clean it with a toothpick. Gently remove all the dirt from the charging port.

You should open your phone and clean it (dry it) as best as you can. Or take it to a repair shop so they can do it for you.

Every day we hear of another issue with iPhone X.

The thing that scares me is that iPhone X is the first real innovation since Steve Jobs passed away. And I think they didn't prepare at all for this launch. Making the phone available to market too soon.

My personal phone is an iPhone, but given all the issues that iPhone X presents, when upgrading, I might consider switching to Android. And instead of using one iOS and Android (like now), I will be using 2 Androids.

Have you tried connecting your phone to another computer? Maybe the fault lies with your computer.

And if you connected your phone to another computer and still doesn't work, then do a factory reset to restore your phone to its original settings. This might work.

Save all your files on a PC (or cloud) and do a factory reset.

If there are any malicious apps on your phone, they will be deleted when reseting.

Seriously, I can't get my head around it. It I should laugh or not.

Get the phone with the same OS. If she has an iPhone, but the 6S, if she uses an Android, get the Galaxy S7.

Trust me, she will appreciate more because there will be no learning curve in understanding a different OS.
