I was a fervent late comer back in sec shool. I wasnt even on the assembly ground the day they were appointing prefects, but anyhow i was made the social prefect.
It happened in SS3 during extension classes. I was late to school on a thursday morning. When i got to the class, the Maths teacher was already in the class, he asked me why i was late nd when i couldnt convince him, he ordered me out of his class and i did so happily bcuz i hate Maths. Meanwhile, as i walked out, i slammed d door and left for an empty class because the whole school had left for the assembly ground. The second day, i was late again so the Maths teacher told me to kneel down in the veranda of the class. Minutes later, students started matching to their classes and they were looking at me with "Look at the social prefect" kinds look. It was that moment that the Maths Teacher brought out cane from the staff room and flogged the hell out of me. I made sure i didnt cry, and that very day i vowed to take my revenge bt i had no chance till i graduated!

Is that a dico? No, thats probably a blog post. Bloggers or writers are also prone to mistakes. You also added that you were taught this in kindergarten right? And what you are insinuating now is that you are ignorant of the fact that most of those kindargarten english are wrong? Although people still use them in regular expressions, that is not enough proof to back your claims.

Hey bro abimic! That was kinda impressive, although i dont agree with you. Those dictionaries can be misleading sometimes. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, properties is the plural of property right? So why didnt they use "properties" as an example or can you navigate down a bit and take another screenshot? Who knows maybe you dont want us to see all the examples. Check any dictionary, they may tell you properties is the plural of property but trust me, they can never use properties as an example even when you think its supposed to be used. Property to the best of my knowledge has a plural and it's PROPERTIES! , this you can confirm from a kid! PERIOD!

Great thanks to you OP. I really found this helpful, especially "I want to barber my hair" It sounds so funny. In addition to the post, "Property" has no plural (the plural is still "Property"). For example people would "Boko Haram has caused a lot of destruction to lives and properties" instead of "Boko Haram has caused a lot of destruction to lives and property. Also, i noticed that a section in nairaland is named properties.

Hey mr man dont you worry yourself because that sim card will never work as a modem. My advice for u is that if you have an android device, just turn on the wi-fi or wlan hotspot and password it. Then switch on the wi-fi on ur laptop, connect with the android hotspot, input the password and off you go. And if u are using a windows lumia like myself, just put on your internet sharing and connect with your pc.
NB; You must have a considerable data plan.
