Politics / Re: I Saw The Effects Of Our Negativity On Our Country And Ourselves. by MarrisManah(m): 9:16pm On Apr 11, 2020 |
A nice piece. Worth the entire read. Our major problem in Nigeria is education... We need massive education of our people. We believe 'good' news about our locations are not newsworthy, well, except it's to show off against other 'ethnicities'. When you look at our annual budget on education and place it with the UN recommended standard... You'll just weep. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: The Igbos And Yorubas Should Live With This Truth: by MarrisManah(m): 9:12am On Apr 09, 2020 |
mrvitalis:When you quote abitrary percentages without statistical back up, it's just so amusing. 98% of South east is less/equa to 98% in Kano. Anyways, k'oréé dika isi kwuo... Adios! |
Politics / Re: The Igbos And Yorubas Should Live With This Truth: by MarrisManah(m): 8:15am On Apr 09, 2020 |
mrvitalis:The people you listed are laughable, reason is non of them have enough appeal outside the Eastern Nigeria! Chidoka and Soludo are way too off the mark- I hope you don't argue this. As for Obi and Umahi, both are pdp... How can they match tinubu(or whoever he's fronting) in terms of nothern votes...? See, politics is not a straight path, you've got to want it to a point it's practically impossible to deny you. I expected Umahi to be a full-time member of Apc by now if indeed he's serious! All the political structures in Ebonyi and Imo should be dominated by the Apc... That's what it means to actually want it bro! Now this is the bombshell- if the Yoruba secures 2023 Apc presidential ticket, Igbos should forget winning with pdp as it's practically and politically impossible! There best bet in pdp will be supporting a northerner, with the hope of getting it by 2032. Yes, politics is that serious even though it sounds funny! In all sincerity (I hope I'm wrong) Igbos are not prepared to be president come 2023. The only high ranking igbo politician in Apc with a lot of appeal in the north has been caged, at least for now- Orji Uzo Kalu. And his brethren are foolishly celebrating.. |
Politics / Re: The Igbos And Yorubas Should Live With This Truth: by MarrisManah(m): 7:38am On Apr 09, 2020 |
mrvitalis:Anyone critical of Igbo politicians automatically becomes a Yoruba.. anyway, that's not the issue now. 1/3 of Yoruba will gladly support tinubu or whoever he backs come 2023, who do we have in the east that's seriously contemplating to be the head of state and enjoys such support from us..? That should bother any well meaning Igbo man/woman. All the governors are after is going to the Senate to continue siphoning public funds for themselves and cronies. This is time for negotiations, lobbying and compromise not when we're in 2022, you'll see them running from Piller to posts looking for who to blame. As for doing something, my brother, NON OF THEM is doing anything. If they were, we'll be aware. |
Politics / Re: The Igbos And Yorubas Should Live With This Truth: by MarrisManah(m): 7:01pm On Apr 08, 2020 |
mrvitalis:Oga stop talking about politics like it's a business of buying and selling cars... It's much more. This is the exact same reason why the Igbo are not getting enough from the federation. All Igbo is saying this and that Everytime.. How many of the Eastern governors and political class are currently gearing up for the office of the president? Instead of putting their houses in order and speaking with one voice, they are busy bringing down some other persons... Even the ones that try to play national politics you criticize them as being slaves to notheners.. Tell me one Igbo man that is seriously vying for the office of the president and have the support of 1/3 of the political class in Igbo land! That should be your concern, not what Yoruba is/is not doing. I hope you understand. |

And who told you it's impossible Nigerian govt won't buy from him when the Minister for health have come out to say they may not need more ventilators for treatment... Politics / Re: Igbos Cannot Be Nigerian President Unless They Do This by MarrisManah(m): 1:10pm On Apr 01, 2020 |
Mmuoojukwu:Bro, the truth is nobody gets the president by blackmail, at least, not a public one. How many of the political class in Igbo land are ambitious enough for the presidency. Since 1999, how many Igbos have flown the flag of the major political parties in a general election..? You need to want it so badly you can go any length just to have it.. at that point, it becomes difficult to discard you. How many times did buhari contest again before getting it..? What's stopping our political class from being the pdp flag bearer in 2023 or we simply support Apc..? That's how to fight. |

Politics / Re: APC Crisis: The Deal That Saved Oshiomhole by MarrisManah(m): 7:56am On Mar 19, 2020 |
helinues:I understand you though but I think it's beyond that now. Oshiomole is still important in Apc today is because of his office as chairman. If he lost that then he's no longer a threat and have no say on who becomes governor of Edo state. Obaseki will just have him conered at a place throughout the period of elections. The simple logic is allow Obaseki have the party ticket, after 4 years, he'll be done. Or better still, allow him the ticket, support another candidate from a different party and try to use the court to finish work. 5 Likes |
