My two cents is get informed and stop making blanket statement. Sallah is just two months away do you know how many cows and ram that is going to be sold? I have 6 rams and 3 cows that I bought in February at just 22k and 100k each respectively. I'm going to be selling them for nothing less than 80-100k / 280k come sallah. So far I have spent only 50k feeding them do the maths. My only problem was I wished I started earlier but thank God I started now. All these places I mentioned I'm visiting as soon as the lockdown is relaxed or lifted and I'm not going for sight seeing. I decided to take my time to respond to you so as to put things in perspective.
Firstly, I was already born into a business family so I didn't have to ask much to be able to make money. I have business interests in the north central, north west and the entire zone in the south. No matter how much you think you're making now from your cow and ram business, I have made much more! I've traveled to over 7 countries including the USA, UK and UAE.And all expenses were from my pocket.

But all these does not in any way change the fact that some persons are just sitting, pilfering and enjoying our common wealth!
Or how come hundreds of billions of dollars have been lost since our Independence?
If those moneies were appropriately utilized, maybe I wouldn't have spent a fortune sending my blood brother to India for a medical procedure that would have been carried out locally.

When people ask these and other questions concerning sources of questionable wealths, it is within their right. No one including you have the right to shut them down. The country belongs to all of us.
The more the number of poor and miserable people around, the more unsecured you and I will be even with all the money. Have you ever paid ransome to free a kidnapped relative before? Have you ever been a target before? Do you know how much I spent on security of my family members? Many of these vices wouldn't have been an issue if our governments (pasts and present) had done and are doing the right things towards making our country and it's citizenry better.

Education touches all facets of our daily lives. And when you see a carpenter, auto mechanic, vulcanizer, even trader that is educated, the difference is always there.
Look at the criteria for elective offices in Nigeria and compare it with 'them'- do you think we would be at this current state if we had consistently elected quality leaders across board?
I still maintain that to divorce ourselves of self hate and negativity, to a large extent, we need to understand the effects of such actions on us as a people, that can only be possible through quality education over a period of time.
Maybe I'm particular about education because I've seen first-hand, how people with less education process/assimilate information. It's scary! Moreso, when there's cheap internet to spread such thoughts. It's a full story on it's own.
