Maybe, but personally I don't make initial assumptions that there was/is a creator(s) before learning what is already known as fact. Besides, it's only people with a religious background that would first make such assumption that a creator initiated the beginning. What we know for certain is that the universe had a beginning and the Big Bang was postulated without initial assumptions of god(s) or creator(s).

The religious will first say He (how they know it's male ), then He created man like him, and the world in 7 days etc. The more you explain the world and universe to them, the more they employ mental gymnastics to the point where when scientists say 'we don't know for sure...' then they say 'aha that's God' ... so I agree with DeGrasse Tyson that said "God is the ever receding pocket of scientific ignorance" ie. the more ignorant one is, the bigger and greater their god.

The universe is about 98% space and earth is even insignificant in the grand scheme, talk less of humans. There is so much disorder, 'errors', organisms that exist just to destroy others etc etc that the notion of intelligent design is another big joke. But as ignorance goes, it looks perfect and well scripted for humans that it must be a creator who sculptured it to his taste.

I'm an atheist because there is really nothing that I know and see about the universe, the world, and life that indicates that there is a god or gods. I do not reject the possibility, but even if there was it/she/he/them certainly isn't intelligent and as super as it's percieved to be. Why then is it god?

Another reason why Christianity, Islam and other religions - as much as they make many people become better for themselves and communities - are a joke when they try to explain anything.
