Kennitrust: This is the reason most time I felt I'm a gentleman to the core.
I struggle for a girl for about 4yrs only for her to come to my house without any second thought to show me her new boyfriend picture in the phone that I bought for her.
Well, when she did that I thought it was temptation. I ignored it and moved on with her without trying to hurt her.
Today, she is pregnant for the new guy to my greatest surprise.
I didn't kill her or harm her in any way rather, I moved on with my life.
I'm happy today with a woman that shows me real respect in my humble self.
if you realize that the going is not good with her, let her go on time before your heart got stuck with her.
It will be painful to let her go after too much is given. That girl is a gold digger. It must have been painful to see a girl showing you the picture of her bf on the phone you bought for her. That's obviously heartless. Anyway, I have see wickedness in various shades of the same degree. |

hopefulLandlord: I don't but answer me though, if evil spirit can enter a pig, why can't it enter an owl? Don't mind the religiotard. They always try to shield their religion from the harm it has caused. If African traditional religions are perceived to be demonic, their elements are therefore perceived demonic. Cat, owls, black dogs, old haggard women, bird cry at night and mermaids are common elements in African traditional religions and are therefore perceived demonic. It's Christianity's fault that these elements are perceived demonic because the bible teaches that yahweh is the only true god while others are not from him. This leaves other gods and their worship and elements as demonic. People(Africans) who leave African traditional religion and join christianity, believing that yahweh is the true and other gods are demons, will be on the look out for these demonic elements and attack them because they think it's evil. So don't mind the religiotard. |

Christianity Etc › If You Do This, You Need To Change. by Martinez19(op): 8:51pm On Jun 13, 2018 |
There is a problem I have discovered that needs to be rooted out from people. It's the problem of hearing what one wants to hear and seeing what one wants to see even at the expense of reality and rationality. A common trap that triggers this problem is self-evaluation. Many people want to feel good about themselves and their habits/actions that they only appreciate positive reviews and complements. Nobody wants to be told that they are being stupid(even when they actually are), religious people don't want to be told that they've wasted their lives or they have been fooled etc.
If you find yourself in a position where you continuously ignore rationality and reality to preserve your ideology, beliefs or habits, then you have a problem of intellectual failing. Worse is when you try to distort data and create a reality that supports your perspective. You have really not started "living life" if you are guilty of this. We should always learn that it's about how we want it, it's about what it is and despite what we choose to believe, reality won't bend to you, the laws of nature are always the same and can never be changed. This intellectual failing has to stop. You can't always be right. |

Possibility1: When we all die and their is no God. Then it's a win win for you and I. No judgement.
Poasibility2: But if there is a God and you have been insulting him all day. Saying in your mind that there is no God. I don't need to remind you what will happen. Because you know naturally. It's written deep inside you. What if it turns out to be Vishnu? It would a losing situation as Vishnu will spear no christian. |

hopefulLandlord: Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I've done it thousands of times.
Drug addiction is not a spiritual problem, its a psychological, medical and emotional one that requires professional help and a lot of willpower to overcome
This is one of the reasons I'm an Antitheist, putting almost all problems under the umbrella of a spiritual has never and would never help anybody. it'd only make the sufferers pretend all is well and keep attending services while feeding their addictions in their privacy, away from those they're showing another face to
If you're suffering from an addiction seek professional and medical help. talk to a psychologist, even talking to a mere psychology student can go a long way
But let's keep praying to gods to do things we should be doing ourselves then putting every problem under the umbrella of the spiritual, after all its worked wonderfully well for us so far which is why Nigerians keep praying for long life but has life expectancy of 54.5 (the 7th lowest in the world) while a prayerless Japan comprising of atheist majority has a life expectancy of 83.7 (highest in the world) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_life_expectancy
This is also why Nigeria is filled with a population that all claim to be "God Fearing" but has the 14th highest crime rate in the world while an atheist Japan filled with "sinners" "Reprobate" "people who don't fear god" "heathens" "infidels" have the lowest crime rate in the world https://www.numbeo.com/crime/rankings_by_country.jsp Thank you jare, one of the reasons I hate religion is that it misleads people to adopt unrealistic methods to solve problems. Another thing is the erroneous diagnosis of physical problems due to the fact these problems are spiritualise. Open a thread on nairaland a try to seek help for an addiction problem, you hear things like "Come to Jesus, only him can help you", "... Give your life to christ" etc. all arrant nonsense. If they ever apply realistic solutions, they coat it with the god-talk to make it seem God had a hand in it eg. "read your books and pray to yahweh and you will pass", "pray and go for surgery, everything will be successful " etc. all bullshit. Addiction is a psychological, biological and emotional problem that requires the help of experts, support friends or group and strong willpower to break not a mythical Jew nailed to a wooden cross. The addiction process downregulates certain brain neurotransmitters especially dopamine leading to a host of cognitive and emotional problems. My concern is she might be combating withdrawal and, later, post acute withdrawal syndrome without the watchful supervision of experts because they might believe yahweh has cured everything. |

adetoroamos: been broke is better than be rich and later broke. is not easy. I understand your feelings bro. and our black mentality here is to mock anyone that is rich before but later broke. I wish I sell all my investment here and route to abroad I mean where I won't see any of my families again. this time last year I used to dash people money but since my investment is no picking up this year like am really depressed but I know I will survive it. lol. Experience is the best teacher. Don't mind the ignorant nairalanders, when one has been poor throughout one's life, there is no much shame but if you have been very rich and turn poor overnight, the shame would be too much especially if you were a popular rich person. Showing yourself in public is shameful and dealing with your still rich friends who would snub you in public as if they didn't see you is devastating. I know this because I have gone through it but when you get back on your feet, they will come back, some apologising, some feigning ignorance of how they treated you badly. Don't accept them back. Adetoroamos, I am sure you must have started seeing people's true colour and knowing who your true friends are. |

Let us be objective, anything can be misused and abused given the wrong application, technology and religion are suitable examples. We can wipe away the entire human race with technology but we haven't. Potential is different from what has already been achieved and I think op was referring to what has already been achieved.
