Imagination is a part of thought and you will agree with me that all great inventions started with thought(imagination) if you start thinking and seeing yourself in a positive way YOUR(take note of your) reality will start to shape into good and positive ones.

No one is disputing the value of a good mindset and positive self-esteem. The main koko is if acknowledging and pointing out the ugly and unfortunate aspects of life means one is being negative and having a poor and gloomy outlook.

While I understand your point....I think you are missing the point. The reality is the reality...nothing positive or negative about it. How you respond to it is another different matter. If you don't have money, will you go to the market and buy foodstuff because you are trying to condition your mind positively? You can work harder, listen to motivational speeches while you are hustling but the reality is that you are broke and until that reality changes, there is nothing else to be said about it.

There is a difference about conditioning your mind to see the good on ever situation and actually acknowledging the situation. A lot of people try to deny their realities by quoting motivational stuff but never realize the first step to change is actually agreeing you have a problem and then work to fix it.

Pointing out reality is what we do. How it comes across to others is irrelevant to us and the nature of things.

Personally, I think only weaklings and little kids need a constant stream of positive talks and affirmations to have morale and achieve. Strong folks don't care about positive or negative whatever, they just need reality as it is. They dig into reality, accept it as it, and go about their lives realistically using their insights while maintaining their morale and esteem.

This is just me though.

When you say things the way they are in a negative way, it affect your inner man negatively and ultimately weakings your drive to succeed.

I will give you one example:

An empty bottle is filled with water half way.
The half filled bottle is now given to to boys in the same environment under the same condition.
Then something interesting happened.

Boy A make a remark that the bottle is half full.
While Boy B make a remark that the bottle is half empty.

Observe carefully the thought patterns of these two boys and you will discover why some people succeed in life while others fail.

In as much as a man's mentality and outlook may affect his performance and morale, it has no bearing on the nature of reality and the validity and subsistence of natural principles.

No matter how positive and resolute your outlook is, reality remains fixed. No matter how positive and confident you are, you will never get tangible and worthy outcomes without abiding by natural principles and/or factors coming to, or being, place.

Positive mentality, if achieved, is just 5% of the ingredient in getting your preferred outcome. In fact, there are many outcomes and situations in which your positive mindset is futile and irrelevant. This is just to stress the importance and need of having the mental fortitude to gaze upon ugly aspects of life, and still go about your day with a proper grasp of life.

Back to the crux of the matter, as long as a train of thought and opinion concisely and accurately encapsulate the reality of life, it matters not if they come across as negative or depressing. Reality is what it is; it doesn't care about your mood and feelings.

Certain aspects of reality can be harsh, negative, and unbalanced by conventional beliefs/outlook, but it shouldn't be discarded and contested because of this. Reality doesn't owe it us to appear in a certain way that pleases us, or makes sense. Anyhow it is, it is to be accepted. That's how we roll here.

Pointing out reality, like emmaodet did, doesn't mean one is being negative in mind and despondent. Reality is reality. Cheers.

IMO, it's nice to get a gym that is a walkable or joggable distance, to help with gaining good sunlight, taking a leisure stroll, and just seeing people around on the path. Also, IMO, when starting in the gym, start with a local gym where there are bouncers, and handymen, and where you could find men who wouldn't have lost all their traditional masculine traits. Those little convos you would get from the male tribe would sharpen your RP lenses, make you more competitive and collaborative, and help you focus better(rather than where bumbum won't allow you to focus).

While he is right on gym not being necessary to lose weight, build muscle, or get in shape, you are also right too. Gym just makes things easier, faster, and more beneficial. The equipments, personal trainers, and various amounts of weights available to you help a lot.
