Are there no job ads from Abuja or Port Harcourt is it only Lagos, is everybody on Nairaland living in Lagos
Lagos is an industrial city so many companies are situated there and also population plays a critical role too.
A company that has it's headquarters in Lagos will want you to be trained in Lagos and be posted to there branches in other states or you just get your jobs through connection.

Celebrities / Re: Peter Okoye: No One Is Allowed To Visit My House Or Office Without A PVC by martinskelly(m): 10:02pm On Jun 06, 2022
immortalcrown:
All those shouting "Get your PVCs" are delusional. The number (population) of voters is never the problem. The choice voters make is the problem.

If only ten persons vote and the majority (at least six) of the ten persons vote wisely, good leaders will emerge.

If 100 billion persons vote and majority of them vote foolishly, bad leaders will emerge.

If number of voters is the problem, there will be no problem in the northern region because that region usually give a very high number of votes.

I do not discourage people from getting PVCs. But I put it to you that number of voters is not among the major problems. Rigging is a bigger problem than low number of voters. The moment INEC was challenged to provide 2019 election data in court, the case died off. This shows Atiku got more legitimate votes than Bubu. Would you blame the 2019 result on those who did not vote? Also, what about the case of Imo state where someone who came 3rd or 4th in an election later became the governor? Is low number of voters responsible for that?

Number of voters only favours tribalism. And tribalism is not good in politics. A good leader is good to all tribes. A bad leader is bad to even his own tribe. Each tribe is clamoring for PVCs just to possible make its son the president. Igbo people are shouting PVCs to ensure Obi wins. Yoruba people are shouting the same thing to ensure either Tinubu or Osinbajo wins. Northerners are doing their own thing to make a northerner the next president. This is the problem.

If voters vote wisely, a good candidate will win and treat everybody well even if the majority of the voters are not from his own tribe. If voters vote foolishly, a bad candidate will win and treat everybody bad even if majority of the voters are from his own tribe. Bubu is a proof.

I repeat, I do not discourage people from getting PVCs. I myself have my own PVC. But let us understand PVC is not the major problem.
word!... You said it all

I can't sleep, bet9ja has crippled my life, no goal, purpose, vision and zero ambition..

I don't even know where my life is heading to anymore, why am I finding it difficult to stop betting( virtual inclusive).

I am far behind in all aspect of life due to my involvement this past 7 years.

When will my redemption come, or is gambling my purpose in life because I don't even know why am gambling.
Hi,
I had to check you up real quick, hope you read my story....I have a lot of bad stories on gambling even to the extent of using my house rent to play, some people i borrowed money from that i can't even repay went as far as going to feltish places to wicked me but God got my back.
I had to make hard decision of either quitting or dieing, so i chose quitting.

I'm now living a life of less thinking, less sorrow, less everything even though i can't really get back all my losses but i thank God I'm where i really want to be.

Brother just try your best and quit and see the transformation from now to six month.
Career / Re: Sportbetting Is About To Ruin My Career by martinskelly(m): 3:07pm On Apr 19, 2022
@Extrastiv01

I used to be in this mess, sometimes it's not all about reading this and that it's all about what i call "Mind commitment".

In reality, not all books changes someone if you don't work things out yourself.
You can read from now till thy kingdom come nothing changes if your mind is not ready to accept faults.

I was hooked in this thing called gambling always blaming devil for my addiction not even knowing I'm the devil, greed took me to a higher level of ignorance in a realm of imaginary riches.

How i stopped Gambling is just by his grace.
It all began like a film, just like i mentioned earlier "Mind commitment" , it took me just 5mins to decide on quitting or dieing, i held on to quitting without looking at all of my losses and it worked like magic.

I did not actually plan on quitting the day i quitted but it came as a force, as a will, as not an option, as if I'm going to die that day but all thanks to my will power of taking drastic decision of not wanting to live in penury.

Ever since i stopped Gambling, my life has changed for better, people come to me for financial help and i give without blinking.
I can feed my family comfortably, my son goes to a good school and in all people envy me now.

Though Gambling dealt with me mercilessly but overcoming it is the best thing that will ever happen to you in your life time because it kills gradually.

So @OP, just make up your mind even if you read all the positive comments here or you read all the books on how to stop Gambling if your mind is not yet made up you can't stop it, you just have to take the bull by the horns or you even carry the bull anyhow you deem it fit or want to because it is only you that can stop it not even your pastor, babalawo or whatever feltish means you feel is the best.

My 2cent.......

Typical African mentality. Those billionaires, business owners or government worldwide that takes loans, are they are not financially successful?

There's nothing wrong in getting a loan, but what matters is what you use the loan for. Even a lot of financial institutions also take loan once in a while
loan is good when you have an already establish business not from scratch.
This billionaires you mentioned, I can categorically tell you that they have business mentality, instincts and acumen that is why things are working fine for them, and if they want a loan not this type of 50k, 100k loan you are advertising here, this na just chop money na nothing more.

No unnecessary charges; maintenance, percentage cut, certain Transfers etc

I think Union Bank is one of the frustrating banks in Nigeria that i know as at today.
Failed transactions takes like entirety to get resolved, no automatic reversal, no customer-friendly approach, no genuine time of reversal, always back and forth on resolution... The list is endless.

Please does anyone knows any good or better still any Nigerian bank that would not give so much stress like Union bank.

Just to chip in, did anyone had transfer issues yesterday 22-01-2021 please indicate,Union bank is playing rough play......
