candy:Finally someone is speaking the truth.....everything you gonna hear Buhari and Jonathan talk about in their campaign are things written for them by their media rep not like those two Zombies know a thing that the average Nigerian(you and me) need.......God help gullible Nigerian youths who still fall for these con artiste. |
Olaolufred:Lolz....now u sound like my younger brother....don't tell me u also lost ur bank job ? |
Olaolufred:Since 1993? Really...hmmmm.....yet u can't explain why Fashola can't gather votes 7 years after OBJ.......gimme reason......you gonna talk about Zoning right.......that is Y we never gonna move forward.......We. Installed one idiot in power cause itz time for the South now we ar about to put another slowpoke cause itz time for the north abi.....how has zoning helped us as a nation(Economically I mean). |
ruffp:Should we close our eyes and jump into the deep blue see?.........U don't get my point........why these 2, are they all we have? I know we can do better- just hurts we aren't? |
Olaolufred:First I'm very sure am quiet older than you are judging how you express yourself but not to drag age into our discussion.....(been eligible to vote for 3 elections now).......you haven't made any logical reason why BRF won't sell.....and ur statement still takes us back to why I complained abt youths nt getting the chance they deserve politically. |
ruffp:Maybe cause I have learnt not to expect much from them. |
fkaz:Why are you Rambling....Do you mean to tell me that APC don't have someone with better track record than GMB to project in 2015....let's be real here...Someone who we can actually account for what they've done to help our democracy and economy grow over the last 8-10 years......lemme ask you one question- in the last 8 years, what has Buhari done (in his little capacity) to help this country?. |
Olaolufred:Maybe u don't understand me...I'm not advocating for GEJ....I don't like the guy self(didn't vote for him in 2011 ).......I know u're desperate for change many of us are but these guys am seeing trust me are not what we need (both GEJ and GMB). |
sandraokosun:Guy calm down......I'm not SaTanic or whatever you just called me...I'm just expressing my view why you so aggressive...just so you know....I don't like GEJ I just wished APC came up with someone better say BRF of Lagos. |
3cycle:I tire ooo my brother.......abeg help me ask them. |
gnykelly:If you'd just stop being sentimental for one minute and be realistic you'll understand that if this trend continues in this country....the future will never come |
Olaolufred:U are obviously still misled and and very much ignorant abu this Gen. Buhari..that man is not the saint/messiah APc are painting him to be.......ask ur parents or elders who witnessed his first era as head of state and you have an idea what kinda man u ar dealing wit. |
Every now and then people(especially politicians) talk about the youth being the future of this country, whilst reading from their carefully prepared speech, they make promises of empowering the youths, giving us opportunities to air our voices and participate in the affairs of this great country.........and we love to hear those sweet words!!! But yesterday after the result of the APC presidential primaries election was announced and I saw Buhari(Major General) looking like one of those awoken mummies from an hollywood movie,(no offense meant-just what I thought when I saw him) I had to google his age.........I WAS STUNNED.....GMB as his loyal followers love to call him is 71 and will be 72 before the next election..............I don't have words to express my feelings but isn't a 71 year old man TOO OLD rule this country at this "computerized" era ? Is this how our APC plan on empowering the youths? And effect change? What happened to the old giving way to new ......(APC had won my heart in recent times when their 'change' campaign and the good works of some of their governors especially in each of their first 4 years in power) but this one they just did.........Broke my heart!!!!If am not mistaking, workers in almost every sector of the economy get retired at age 60 or at most 70 so why should a man who clearly looks tired still be vying for presidency when we have thousands/millions of able and capable younger men who can fill the position and probably do a better job.....are we going forward or backward Is there really any hope for the youths of this great nation.......if we are 'future' when will this future come ? |
Nyc write U @ OP. |
After going through a post this morning on this forum that had some very ugly(silly) pictures of our naija celebs doing this Halloween thing.....I couldn't help but ask WHY.....I mean why exactly are our nigerian celebrities celebrating Halloween day ![]() We complain about the white man calling us niggas and saying we are inferior to them yet we never stopping copying and importing style and culture from them......how then do we expect them to see us as equal ![]() If these celebs must throw a party since apparently that is the only thing they know how to do, can't they at least think of one good reason/theme for their party Must it be something as alien and misguided as Halloween.....do we don't have masqurade events scattered across this blessed country for them to pick one brand it and export?Africa really is Africa's problem......until we go back to the way we were and how we pride ourselves back in the good old days I fear there is no hope for this country and the continent at large.... These same empty headed celebs will not join our 'local' festivities coz they claim its barbaric and demonic but will celebrate 'Halloween' which is a celebration of the day demons roamed free on earth...............my principal back in secondary school used to say 'Common sense is not common'......now I understand what he meant.......SHAME!!!! |
Wait.......why exactly are nigerian celebs doing dis Halloween thing. |
anumide: My younger brother is 21. He's jes gotMy heart goes out to ur younger brother.....do gooders always get hurt in any relationship.....they always seem to care too much and do too much.....only get so very little in return. |

koyyes: it's funny how some guys love to mess up other girls lives but protect their own sisters. i hope you don't fall under this category op. just give her all the sincere advice she needs. If you are a responsible man, your sister may use you as a yardstick in choosing her kind of bf so you really shouldn't worry.Am no saint.....But I don't think I have messed up any girl sha....Coz I have sisterz, I kinda learned to treat gals right. |
HugoLee: Marveangel I take it you're a virgin?Nope.....I'm not......but I still know d truth even if I find it difficult to adhere to it. |
Niaralanders abeg make una no vex ooo....but I just have to ask this question....its not like am ignorant of what the holy books teach.....But what I see and read everyday is the direct opposite.... I see to have awaken to a society that celebrates nudity and immorality....Kim Kardashian, Rihanna,Lady Gaga even our own Maheeda are renowed worldwide coz they always seem to forget to buy clothes that will actually cover them.....instead of the world to condemn their immoral acts....they become trending fashion wears, Linda Ikeji won't stop posting semi-nude pictures of Kim Kardashian......its all about sexx appeal everywhere.....I have found myself in a generation were virgins are looked upon scornful and called names..... So I ask Is fornication still a Sin....Or did we all fall so far away from moral and spiritual standards that we don't see anything wrong in Fornication again? People were once flogged, excommunicated and even banished for committing this same act......How come they are now being praised as Sharp Guys and Sharp babes today.....What Happened ? |
Where is Benin City.......have u been to Benin recently......I feel Benin deserve aplace ahead of Warri....I lived in both Cities recently so I now what am saying |
Thank You all for you contributions and advice.....I really appreciate it....We did talk over the same issue yesterday and the day b4...of course it was coded coz we didn't want any1 else in the house hearing.......She's very adamant she's in love and that the boy is in love with her too.....the scariest thing I learned is that the said boy is her age mate too.....My sister is even older than him with about 33 days from our calculations...This is not the till we marry kinda relationship is it ...I don't want to discourage her or hurt her but there is no hope for this sort of 'puppy' romance is there![]() |
LEAFLET: Am i the only one that thinks your sister is a lil bi slow?. She's 19 and having her first boyfriend.. She might be a lesbian or super fugly to have waited so long before getting a boyfriend...Nah she's not......We had very strict upbringing......We were the dad drop u off at school, mom picks up in the afternoon, stay in doors, watch TV, few friends kinda kids.......Even I didn't start that much early. |
FrankySnow: Op advice her like her big bro that you are. You know how guys work naDoing ma best...But love has captured her heart oooo. |
When Samsung started working on their own OS I knew something waz up....I think itz all good 4 d growth of Tech though....they'll be forced to get something innovative to enhance their market. |
Thanx man...good tip McWhillion: And at 19, you think she shouldn't go into a relationship?Thanx man...good tip |
My immediate younger sister and I are very close...like super close.....I'm about 6 years older than her but we're pals....we talk about almost everything...We have other siblings~ elder ones but we not as close to them as we are to ourselves...She's the last and only female child in the house. On friday, out of the blue she just dropped it on me that she is in love.....I was still raking my head thinking of how to advice her to take the whole love thing one step at a time.....I didn't know she was about to drop another bomb.... last night after saying our night prayers she came into my room grinning....I asked whatz up...she sat on the edge of my bed and said 'I said Yes'......I was like yes to what....she smiled again even laughing....'I said yes to the guy that has being asking me out'. I felt strange!!!.........I just smiled and said cool....big girl. But this morning I woke up and am afraid for her..... Could she really be in love How am I sure dis is nt anoda sharp guy putting things in her head....How could she be certain its love...she's just 19......what should I do guyz..I am sincerely concerned for my sister...how do I help her avoid a heartbreak. |
As much as I appreciate his courage and love 4 his favorite football club....I think this is way too far....even the players and coaches wed in suit.....na wa ooo |
I kinda generally avoid looking people in d eye when am talking.....always....so 1 doesn't work 4 me.....But I do avoid direct response when am dodging a question/lying sha...espcially when ma gal be like 'did u collect that girls phone number'......instead of an answer I just smile and I be like 'what do u take me 4....you think am that kinda guy.....lol'....she don confuse be dat. |
I wonder when a made in Nigeria product will generate this much hype around the world......can't wait 4 dat day sha...........4eva Naija.....We will get there soon!!!! |
