Phones / Leak - Tecno CAMON 19 Pro Art Edition (official Designs) And My First Impression by Marvel6233(m): 8:48am On May 16, 2022
Alright, so here you can take your first look into the Tecno CAMON 19 Pro Art Edition smartphone. It's a unique phone because of its back cover design. For the first time, a tech company is making something like this. Tecno adopted what is known as the "Multi-color Photoisomer technology". I explained it more in the video.

The smartphone will launch next month, June 2022. My unboxing and full review of the phone are coming next.

Phones / Tecno Pova 5G Vs Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Full Comparison by Marvel6233(m): 7:46am On Apr 08, 2022
Tecno Pova 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A53 5G comparison: The Pova 5G is one of the cheapest 5G devices to buy. It will cost you 147k with all the accessories available in the box. While the Galaxy A53 5G is priced at 223k with no charger, no earphones, no protective case etc. At the end of the day, you'll even spend more than 223k

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4NE3t8fha0

The Tecno Pova 5G is a gaming device with a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chip. While Galaxy A53 5G is powered by Exynos 1280.

There is more to consider when thinking of which to get. Software, Camera, Display, Battery etc. And all that was explained in the video above.

Phones / Infinix Zero 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: Performance, Camera Etc by Marvel6233(m): 3:50am On Apr 04, 2022
Infinix Zero 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A53 5G: So I've been using both smartphones for close to a month now and here is my full comparison.

Infinix Zero 5G = N167,000
Galaxy A53 5G = N223,000

Thus, if all you want is a budget 5G device, the Zero 5G is cheaper. Plus when it comes to performance, the MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G on the Infinix is faster and more powerful than the Exynos 1280 5G chip inside the Galaxy A53. You can watch a series of tests in the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEuqqkda4Jg

However, the Galaxy A53 5G has better software plans. Samsung has promised 4 years of major OS updates which is outstanding. The Galaxy A53 5G is also more durable because it is water and dustproof. The video above contains every detail you need to help you make a better purchasing decision.

Phones / Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Water Test by Marvel6233(m): 9:33pm On Mar 22, 2022
Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is water and dust resistant. And one of the vital ways to confirm its durability is to submerge it under the water. Let's simply say I took it for water baptism.

The device is currently retailing for 223k across the country.

I go de use am for the next couple of days to confirm say the water nor cause any issue to am. In my full review coming in few days time, I go update una.
Phones / Tecno Pova 5G Vs Redmi Note 11s: Unbelievable Happened On Performance Test by Marvel6233(m): 6:32am On Mar 04, 2022
The Tecno Pova 5G may not be the best in camera or in software experience. But when it comes to performance it edges over the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S/Pro. Below is a video that shows what I'm talking about (performance test, speed comparison and RAM management)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYR0-m6NshU

More so, the Redmi Note 11S can't do anything in 4k resolution. Can't record/Play video in 4k. When it comes to performance, it's a downgrade to its predecessor

As you can clearly see only the Infinix does 4k video and it uses a very inferior generic sensor which invariably means the 4k video quality will most likely be shit and from all indications the zero 5G will be up to 170k

You can hype transsion up cause we know you're like their poster boy but don't do that by passing wrong information please.

I have both phones in my hands right now. Wetin you de argue? I tell you both do 4k video. You de argue with me, wey get the phones right now. Even using one of them to post this comment.

See as this guy just roped in transsion phones with a whole vivo V23 and oppo Reno 7 pro that are flagship killers

The Tecno and Infinix you mentioned both don't do 4K video too even though so I'm confused as to how you're using that as a yardstick.

They record video in 4k. That's because of the Dimensity 900 5G chipset.
Phones / Redmi Note 11s Review: Don't Fall For The Hype ⚠️ by Marvel6233(m): 1:55am On Feb 13, 2022
Xiaomi has recently released its new lineups of budget midrange devices "RedmiNote11seeies". And for the first time in a while, I can't recommend this phone with full chest reason because the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10s of last year have more value for money both in performance and in videography experience.

Redmi Note 11s specs on paper and in real life experience is what Transsion holdings used to offer but now they have moved on to the next level for better, while Redmi seems to be regressing with the Note 11s. The phone camera for photography is good but can't shoot video in 4k, the performance of MediaTek Helio G96 is not at par with current competition from OPPO Reno 7 Pro, vivo V23 5G, Tecno Pova 5G and even infinix ZERO 5G.

In some key areas like performance and videography, the Redmi Note 11s and Note 11 Pro fall below the standard of 2022 "value for money". Let me explain more in this review video.

Infinix went real hard on this. Tell me want you think. Remember that Redmi Note 10 Pro doesn't have OIS and Periscope lens. So remember that to aid your honest opinion in the comment section. Do you see this Infinix Zero X Pro selling well with the right pricing?

Phones / Tecno Ella Voice Assistant vs Google Assistant vs Samsung Bixby by Marvel6233(m): 8:14am On Jul 12, 2021
Alright, so one new feature on the Tecno Phantom X, is the "Ella Voice Assistant". "Ella" is own and developed by Tecno. And it made it's debut on the Phantom X. Hopefully, other Tecno phones will follow suit in no time.

But the main deal here is, how Smart and dynamic is Tecno Ella when compared to other voice assistant like Google Assistant, Siri and Samsung Bixby? So I made a comparison video of it

Note: Google Assistant was founded in 2016.
Samsung Bixby was founded in 2017

Phones / Samsung Galaxy A52 Vs Tecno Phantom X: Speed Test, Camera Comparison & Full Spec by Marvel6233(m): 8:00am On Jul 06, 2021
Tecno Phantom X is the most sophisticated device from Tecno yet. But so far, the reception of the device has been dull for two reasons.

First, the price. Consumers are not ready to spend 228k for a MDTK helio G95 powered Chipset. At least, not when the likes of Samsung Galaxy A52 is there with water resistant feature and OIS capability.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upjp5f1hfG4

Secondly, everyone is almost disappointed for their choice of Processor (helio G95). At least a Dimensity or Snapdragon chip could have brought less criticism.

Thus in the comparison video above, I put these two phones side by side and tested to see whether the Phantom X really better pass the Galaxy A52.

So I had the Specs comparison, Speed Test and Camera Comparison. All in one!

Tecno Phantom X key Specs:
* 6.7 AMOLED curved display
* 1080p 90Hz refresh rate
* 50MP + 8MP + 13MP
* 8GB RAM
* 256GB ROM
* MediaTek helio G95
* 4,700 mAh (33W)

Redmi Note 10 Pro key Specs:
* 6.67 Super AMOLED display
* 1080p 120Hz refresh rate
* 108MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP
* 6GB RAM
* 128GB ROM
* Snapdragon 732G

Almost N100k price difference between these two.

Phones / Tecno Camon 17 Pro (helio G95) Vs Tecno Phantom X (helio G95): 128k Vs 228k by Marvel6233(m): 6:16pm On Jul 02, 2021
For days now, my inbox/DM has been bursting with messages. Demanding say make I compare the Camon 17 Pro vs Phantom X. Well, this is the first time as a reviewer that I'm seeing a Flagship phone has the same chipset with its own midrange.

100k price difference between these two phones.
But Las Las, one just had to be better

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egCcNlui3oY

When it comes to Camera between these two, the Phantom X is the best. Both in night and daytime photography.

But the Camon 17 Pro battery last more. And in terms of performance, on Geekbench, both had similar scores. But the speed test was on fire.

The comparison video was fun to make try check am out. And I can't wait to compare the Phantom X to the likes of Samsung Galaxy A52 and Redmi Note 10 Pro.. I know say that day, rain go fall for this place ..lolz
Phones / Tecno Phantom X Unboxing And Review: Almost Killed By The Price by Marvel6233(m): 1:41am On Jul 02, 2021
I just tire for Tecno. They made the Phantom X a great device, but almost killed it with the Over Price. However, there are some cool things that can't be ignored. For example, the AMOLED curved display experience, the 50MP Ultra night camera, the laser autofocus and newly developed "Ella" voice assistant.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMVxI3Htejo

The major issue here would be the price and chipset. 228k (~$550) for a MediaTek helio G95 is annoyingly over price. Also, the Phantom X might not get any major software update. Which means, it might remain Android 11 all through and that is hard to swallow because of the high price.

The performance of the Phantom X is similar to that of Camon 17 Pro which is about 100k cheaper. Can you imagine!

The two major issues: the High Price (228k) and the MediaTek helio G95 chip

Tecno once made a great smartphone, but almost killed it with over price

No long talk. So here is my comparison of these miderange chipsets. MediaTek helio G95 Chipset vs Snapdragon 732G vs Snapdragon 720G.

I've been using smartphones that are powered by these three Chipsets for the past months. And from my take, Snapdragon is still Snapdragon. Very good at heat management and consistency.

While MediaTek helio G95 is one of the most impressive Chip from MediaTek I've ever used. However, the lack of proper heat management, built on 12nm process is a significant set back.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AASk6iFimk

Tbvh, MediaTek is catching up real fast. They shouldn't be underrated just like that. However, Snapdragon is still good at what it does best.

Phones / Infinix Note 10 Pro Vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro: Speed Test | Full Comparison by Marvel6233(m): 3:17am On Jun 12, 2021
Infinix Note 10 Pro vs Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. Which one should you buy?

Of these two devices, the Infinix Note 10 Pro is more affordable. It will cost you N117,000 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. While the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is priced N127,000 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

On which of these two is a better performer? The Infinix Note 10 Pro is powered by the MediaTek helio G95. While the Redmi Note 10 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G chipset.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Wjf841M2RQ

According to geekbench 5, the Snapdragon 732G chip has the higher score. Both in single and multi core scores.

When it comes to durability, the Infinix Note 10 Pro has plastic back and frame. Which are tougher than the glass protecting the back of the Redmi Note 10 Pro. The protective back of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is not gorilla glass 5. So you'll have to be mindful. If you'd watch the video above, you'll notice my Redmi Note 10 Pro back cover was cracked.

You can watch the full comparison video to know which one is faster!

My tech guys, I don show again ..lolz.. but today, I'm here for the voylence., lol

Infinix Note 10 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy A52: Which one is faster, better, and offers more value for money?Making this Comparison was an interesting one for me because I've been using both smartphones for a while now.

First, the Infinix Note 10 Pro price is N117,500. While Samsung Galaxy A52 is currently N144,000. The price difference is huge.

Infinix Note 10 Pro has 8GB RAM. Yes, gone were those days when you think less of Infinix with 2GB or 3GB. Now, Infinix has stepped up big time. Thanks to criticism from Redmi and Samsung fans.. lolz
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A52 only has 6GB RAM.

During the RAM Management, the Infinix Note 10 Pro 8GB RAM really shows how superior it is. You can watch the video to see for yourself

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTN1PG2LMHc

I also noticed that the Infinix Note 10 Pro, which is powered by MediaTek helio G95 chipset is higher on geekbench score than Samsung Galaxy A52's Snapdragon 720G chipset.

However, when it comes to camera, the Samsung Galaxy A52 is better. Thanks to the OIS feature. Actually, the camera comparison is subjective. But the OIS really helps to improve Galaxy A52 camera.

For now, I don tire small to type. Abeg watch the video above to get the full gist. Meanwhile, I go like to know your opinions. And let the banter between Infinix and Samsung begins... lolz

Rep your team. Samsung share, while Infinix should like. I want to check something..lol

Really impressed with Tecno, though is it just me or does that beta look much uglier than the one Google showed on 17 May (yes, I watched it). Anyway, I have a few observations, OP:
1.) Where is the Privacy Dashboard? Camera and microphone indicators? (in my opinion, these are the most important Android 12 features)
2.) The adaptive themes, are they available? (I mean the wallpaper-based adaptive themes)
3.) I also noticed that Android 12 looks much snappier than before. So does that beta on the 17. Hope when the final release comes out, Tecno will not choke it with bloat.
4.) Please tell me Tecno has removed that bloody battery optimization (or at least improved it).
5.) Lastly but by no means the least,I hope they'll actually release the final version to the Camon 17 and also update Spark 6, Spark7P, Camon 16 Premier, Pouvoir 4 Power and other devices that launched with Android 11 out of the box i.e at least a MAJOR OS upgrade. Make e nor stop here oh.

Area afa., I don show again. But this time I de here with the latest Tecno Camon 17. I know some of you would love to buy one of the Camon 17 series ( Tecno Camon 17, Camon 17P and Camon 17 Pro) for yourself.

Since I've been using the Tecno Camon 17, I've noticed some ish. But that's not to forget some cool features the smartphone offers too. The Camon 17 is powered by MediaTek helio G85 chipset/Processor which is slightly better in CPU and GPU than the Helio G80.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W6n4Xo6-aA

So my gaming experience with the smartphone was cool at first. However, the more applications I installed on the device, the slower it gets. Reason is because of the 4GB RAM size. I wonder what stopped Tecno wey make the Camon 17 nor get 6GB RAM self.

Also, the display is 90Hz refresh rate enabled which is cool. In short, I don't think I can still use any smartphone with no high refresh rate these days. Lol.. 90Hz, 120Hz RR rocks. however, the screen resolution is 720p which is wack compared to the 74k price.

The 48MP camera in day time Is good but not incredible. While at night, the Super night mode is a no no no...

You know what? MY Camon 17 Pro Review video is dropping soon. However, with the little time I've spent using it so far, I fit tell you say, if money is not an issue. Abeg, buy the Pro. The value there is insane.

Well, if you have any questions. Drop am below I go answer una.

Phones / Tecno Spark 7P Review: World's Most Affordable 90hz Phone by Marvel6233(m): 8:24am On May 09, 2021
Alright, so here is my review of the Tecno Spark 7P after so many weeks. I go talk about the Pros and Cons of the phone. Let's start with the Pros...

The smartphone gives you the 90hz refresh rate experience at a budget price of just 60k. So for someone who has never used a higher refresh rate phone before, the Tecno Spark 7P is cheap for you to purchase. At least make you for still join the list of those wey don use a phone of 90hz refresh rate for the country. Thanks to Tecno!

Also, another good thing is that the smartphone is powered by a gaming chipset "MediaTek helio G70 ". It is OK for a phone of this price.

The battery too de very strong. No shaking. The 5000mAh battery capacity de last.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTn3nw0sVMk

However, the 16MP camera athough has autofocus and improved night mode. But the quality is not outstanding.
Also the speakers of the phone is just noise. No quality.

Another cons, na the display. Na 720p IPS LCD. The truth is that, had Tecno fixed these cons, the price would have gone higher than this.

So here are two things to take home:
First, Tecno is bringing 90hz refresh rate to those who can't afford to buy expensive device above 60k

Secondly, if you are camera person, look somewhere else. Because the phone is for 90hz and improved gaming (helio G70 processor).

Whatever the case is, Tecno Spark 7P remains the most affordable 90Hz refresh rate phone.

Let's me know what you think below

• the Redmi Note 10 Pro is a good performer too (Snapdragon 732G). All the geekbench test I had, e beat the Galaxy A52 Snapdragon 720G chipset back to back. (My full comparison go drop soon anyway)

• Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro price 6+64 GB "N116,500"... 6+126 GB "N126,500"

Xiaomi is truly the king of budget smartphones. The ability and strategy of incorporating flagship specs into midrange smartphones and then make it affordable, should be studied by other tech brands. Coz like this eh, Xiaomi nor get anything to prove again to anyone.

Mi fans are always proud of their tech companies. Reason because the company always give them lots of bragging rights.

Although a little touch of IOS and IP rating would have done extreme justice to this device. Anyways, Las Las we meeuuuvee..

skywalker240:
Am Impressed with the super amoled on the A32 plus its Gorilla Glass 5 back and front no doubt the 64MP camera would be ok.

But the redmi 9 is cheaper

I didnt watch the video (am using a java phone now) but the 9t would still have been considered for comparing instead of redmi 9, been that its more recent just like the a32.

I made that last week. I didn't post it here on nairaland though. But it's on the channel
