Please can you share like how much balance you had at the time of submission?

Also I’m new here, what page do you suggest I read from, going on tourist visit with my spouse.

We both have canada visiting visa though unused. I have a US visa unused too.

We want to visit the UK. I noticed im not able to create family profile. How do i link our accounts? Or do we have to submit independently?

I used my salary account for six months

Submitted my savings account for 6 months ( realised I shouldn't have transferred a lump sum a few weeks before printing. But it didn't affect.

Biometrics: June 28th
BVL and PPR: July 10th
Passport submitted; July 11th
Passport Received back: August 16th

I and my spouse finally collected our stamped passport last week Friday.

Application submitted: March 16, 2023
Biometric request: March 16, 2023
Biometric done: March 24, 2023
BVL: June 28, 2023
PPR: July 5, 2023
Passport submission to UPS: Wed July 19, 2023
PP received by VFS Lagos: Friday July 21, 2023
PP received by CVAC Abuja OC and to be sent to CVAC Abuja OC: Mon July 24, 2023
PP Collection mail: Thur 10 August , 2023
PP Collected VFS LAGOS: Friday 11 August , 2023

After CVAC Abuja OC: Mon July 24, 2023 there was complete silence, no mail and the VFS tracker kept saying our ‘in transit to IRCC office’ perpetually. I was not bothered at first because I renewed my passport and raised a request to update the passport number on IRCC, I also added the letter to the envolpe which we submitted at VFS with the new passport. I kept checking the IRCC tracker to confirm if my passport number has been updated to the new one because the visa details on the tracker showed my old passport number. Finally Aug 1 the IRCC tracker was updated with my new passport number and by Aug 3, the IRCC tracker was already showing closed yet no update on the VFS tracker as it kept saying in transit to IRCC.
Finally on Aug 10, I contacted VFS via the live chat and was told it was still processing it. Alas same day in the afternoon I got all the mails at once including the ready for collection mail. The next day Aug 11 my spouse picked up our passport: went with marriage certificate and consent letter.

Background: Our application was Visiting a friend in Canada with the intent to give birth. Proposed travel date was 3rd June, however passport request came in few days to when we had our baby

We are processing our baby’s passport and I have to read up on how to go about application for children.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone on this thread. The information here was very helpful and instrumental to our application.

We were given visas up to the expiry date of our passport. My new passport is 10years to expries July 2033. I was given 10years multiple entry visa with the expiry date as Mar 2033 which is when the biometric expires.

All the best to everyone still waiting. Let me go and search this thread for what I need to apply for kids of parents with visas already.

I contacted the VFS customer service via chat today regarding the progress of my passport. Apparently seems my case was forgotten and all of a sudden I received all the mails at once this evening: from abuja to ircc, ircc to abuja etc till Lagos. Passport is now ready for collection

Aug 3 - IRCC tracker status updated closed. Has both visa number and visa expiry date.

How long afterwards should i expect an update on the VFS tracker for collection. Information on tracker has remained the same since i submitted my passport.

VFS acknowledged passport submission on the 21st of July

I checked the Ircc tracker this morning to see that my application status is closed (biometric, background verification etc all shows completed). Please does this mean the visa has been stamped and my passport sent. The Vfs tracking site is yet to be updated with any new information since 24th July, still showing . Your application, tracking ID No. is in transit and has been dispatched to the IRCC Office through the Office, on for processing. For further details, please contact the VAC helpline number or refer to our website

I’m in the same shoes as you. In my case I submitted a new passport so my focus was on getting the document number on tracker updated and that just got updated this morning . As others have said, let’s wait for the mail indicating Lagos.

You can merge them so long as it’s not above the maximum file size.

On the tracker..it says this and I got these 2 messages the same day I submitted my passport. And the message on the tracker hasn't changed for over 1 week.

Application submitted- June 11, 2023
Biometrics completed at VFS Lagos - June 21, 2023
Biometrics validity letter - June 15, 2023
PPR - June 15, 2023
Passport submission at VFS Lagos - June 20, 2023
Passport delivered by UPS courier to a Lagos address - July 30, 2023


Background- I have valid US and UK visas. Also several expired Schengen visas. So I am a frequent traveler and most trips are for tourism.

Applied as a tourist with hotel reservation. No family or friend in Canada was mentioned in my application
Submitted all the regular documents - nothing extra

All the best to others still expecting PPR.

My visa expires in this month of April but I was allowed in for 6 months as no more physical stamps, check I-94 website.
My passport will be left with less than 6 months of validity by this April too.

I got this visa for holidays in May 2021 via interview renewal (dropbox was suspended then) and I used it thrice for its purpose prior to this trip, so plus this trip made it 4 times. This is my 10th trip in total to the USA also.
I hope this helps someone.

I think this is what i submitted.

My letter of intent gave a brief intro about me and what i do, my purpose of travel, my funding for the trip and return to country home ties.

My documents was also all well labelled and arranged.
