MrHackmed1:The truth is most people do not understand the concept of prayer...subconsciously everyone prays... |
itzlabode:Wow I trust you aced the latter stages of the interview? I am not in a good shape medically...I will complete the write up soon....davide470 is a good guy and can mentor you....besides there are other great guys in one of my topics....good to know my post really helped...thanks |
jashar:looooolllll....good morning...well the books may not interest you much...they were basically about revolutions in Southern(latin) America,...and biographies and works of Enersto guevara, fidel nd Raul castro(guerilla leftists approach) Rodriguez, Mario, paz, Ovando,nuno...et al "I am not thinking about a revolution (lols) Because I don't think there can be another Che guevara"....marxxx(2016) |
captainhoo:Longtime, how are you? |
Contd It is not the "Tell me about yourself" question that sends you home because, definitely there will always be a generic response to "Tell me about your self" unless the candidate is simply special or exceptional and such candidates are quite few. IT is what comes after "Tell me about yourself" that sends you home...so you have to be smart and watch how you respond to the next question....This question may reveal to you the background of your interviewer, his strengths and weaknesses. It is then left for you to take full advantage and know what to avoid, what to say, and how to say what to say "I was an observer in an interview where a candidate was asked how do you explain biochemistry to a layman" This was the second question. From this question you can deduce two basic points 1. The interviewer is not a biochemistry major 2. The interviewer does not have a concrete knowledge about biological or natural science What will matter most to the interviewer is ur use of English, how you arrange your thoughts and how convincing you portray yourself. Even when you say something "wrong" and is not too obvious don't bother correcting yourself (you may make more mistakes while doing that) just show confidence and convince him you know what you are talking about. Use good vocabulary too. (seriously during my interview the interviewer asked for the meaning of several words, although I had a heavy local accent back then) it makes you look knowledgeable. If the question is technical based like "why do water have low boiling points" You can easily deduce that your interviewer has a good knowledge about science. All you have to do is ensure you make use of the appropriate technical terms. Quickly correct yourself if you mistakenly slip and then try to remain focused... Now You need to learn how to control the Pace of your interview. You Also need to learn how to set Baits for the interviewer thereby keeping them at a corner where you want them to be and also asking the questions you want them to ask... To be contd |
jashar:ahhh..i have so many mentions unanswered ...work is Die...unlike before when we had enough competent trainees...Economics is good. Ensure you graduate top of your class...your books, really? Did we exchange or did I borrow any of your book(s)...pls enlighten me on "your books"... |
SlimHan:You are free don't bother about recognition. It's yours now just share...How is the blogging business? I can see you are en entrepreneur ryt? You are the real you |
Gerrard59:Looking at the situation it is not advisable to switch. Engineering gives you more chances of being hired...sciences is also cool...but the market is not too favourable for pure sciences. Chemical Engineering is great but we are looking at chances of being hired... |
ericanex:they are both fantastic but go for mechanical engineering. If you ever have to choose between them. Mechanical gives you more chances of being hired. In the manufacturing and oil services both are needed. Recently you will discover there are car assemblage factories springing up in Nigeria you may not need a chemical engineer in such field....i hope you get the logic |
Eve62:kontunu ryt? Lol |
jashar:what are you studying? What level? |
captainhoo:Really? I once loved "Rug rats"...the cartoon was dope...lol...what is the title |
Peterpan222:I don't know if my response is coming in late but please do not switch to science I beg you. Rather continue with Mechanical Engineering. Petroleum is too narrow...A mechanical engineer will perform well in the oil sector as well as the manufacturing sector. Even slumberger will accept you just like a petroleum graduate. But you will not attract manufacturing firms like PG, coca cola, FrieslandCampina etc if you are a petrol major...I hope you get it...Sciences is a no go area... |
olu4life:Thank God you did not end up with them. I trust you are happy where you are presently...do ve a lovely day |
jashar:Fine...how is school/work? I hope you are no longer walking 10miles? |
YourCoffin:Really?? Discussing marriage is not tantamount to discussing futility nor frivolity...I have also contributed to the career and educational section of this forum...ohhh you want us to discuss financial management? ROI? Lol...cut cost while browsing? Really? Lol...funny... |
jashar:My friend how are you? |
You outsource for three reasons...but let me tell you, there are jobs not meant for graduates. A CCR is not a graduate job. To be frank. A graduate is trained to manage. To be a manager. CCR positions are meant for O'level holders. It is because of the the high unemployment rate that is why you see graduate taking up jobs not meant for them. Same goes for bank tellers and counters. These positions were initially designed for O'level holders....but because graduates are willing to take up these positions...shit happens To the subject: When you outsource, you are not liable or responsible for the staff....meaning you do not need to pay welfare packages like housing, transport, furniture, education, lunch etc You don't think twice if you want to send them packing because you do not need to pay he/she off. No settlement. With all these off your neck there will be so much profits for the greedy shareholders to share....... ![]() |
tolutweety:good luck |
davide470:David I just got off the phone with someone from Hr and it's negative. Whrlen FrieslandCampina outsources, you register on the outsourcing company's site...all the same l pray I am wrong but for a recruitment going on at this level and I have no inkling about it is almost impossible ...do have a lovely day |
davide470 Are you sure this is not a scam? This is a scam. Please verify this is because FrieslandCampina is not having a good time and from a reliable source (MD) we are thinking of converting some departments to be managed by agencies I can't give give you all other details just know that even some juicy stuffs in frieslandCampina have been revamped although experts have been trying to turn things around so incurring more cost will not go well at this point. Although last month there was a major restructuring that led to the promotion of more than a 100 people (converting some to contract to full staff)...but there was no discussion about recruitment. That site doesn't really look like FrieslandCampina site. The Recruitment going on in FrieslandCampina lately is outsourced by other agencies and you register on the agency's portal... I am not a staff of FrieslandCampina but I will really love you to check the site....it is substandard and that is not how FrieslandCampina advertise on their site. FrieslandCampina uses real staff of the company to advertise on their site not what I saw up there.. |

jashar:Alright dearest take care. Get to the bus station early so that you won't have to trek 10miles...and for the "egg head", that is another topic for another day... |
jashar:you are funny |
Boltam:went tru ur personal text... |
jashar:you just did... ... |
fem29:I learned a lot. Thanks...tell the kids marxxx says hello...I hope you are very strong now? I believe in God. Thanks |
yvelchstores:Am so happy for you...kudos |
jashar:You!!! I thought the spirit of God has made you pass over this topic. I hope your twin doesn't get here. People have a wrong impression about you when you are not married I know what am talkin about from work place to family. As you approach the peak of your career you need a good Network. Oftentimes people are not comfortable with you holding meetings and private discussions with their spouse when you are not married...and management loves it when when you have something to look after.....let me not type much...I know you are joking and troublesome...go joor |
olymurphy:Hmmmmmm...I like this. Truth be told I think if I will ever get married I will need to date for less than a month. This is because we might end up separating before we finally resolve to get married! Lol...So it's possible to just get married and do the patching as we sail....You guys did great! Kudos... |
Mindfulness:Thanks I get that, I appreciate |
fem29:Awwwww....you made me laugh @ "before you ask I am already married". wow I appreciate your write up. Seriously I do. But what about the transition? What are those things you gave up? Are there things you long for but you can't have/engage in them because you are married? How did you find the "concept of family"...Ensure you take great care so that there will be less poking...I am yearning to read ur post. |
