His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kano State Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR, has distributed about sixteen million naira to the bereaved families of Sabon Gari explosion.

The distribution took place at Africa House, Government House, Kano.

Governor Ganduje, hinted that the gesture was aimed at cushioning the sad occurrence among the bereaved families.

He, therefore, sympathized with them and condoled them over incident.

Each of the families of the nine persons who loss their lives were given N1 million (one million naira) and the owner of African centre whose building was destroyed was given two million naira, while the owner of Winners Primary School was N1 million given one million naira.

Moreover, each of the ten people seriously wounded in the incident was N200,000 (two Hundred thousand naira) and the slightly wounded persons were given N1 million (one million naira).

Following the ongoing investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) for financial impropriety, the federal government has approved the appointment of Mr. Anamekwe Chukwunyere Nwabuoku to oversee the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF).

In a letter dated 20th May, 2022 and signed by Aliyu Ahmed, Permanent Secretary (Finance), Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, the appointment is pending the outcome of the investigation.

In this position, Mr. Anamekwe is expected to carry out his duty in strict compliance with extant rules and observe the highest sense of professionalism expected of an officer working at his level.

Mr. Anamekwe holds Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, and Master of Science (M.Sc) in Financial Management from Common Wealth University, Belize.

He started his civil service career with the Centre for Democratic Studies (CDS) and rose to the position of Principal Accountant between 1992 and 1995.

Currently, he is Director, Inspectorate Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, and presently he is overseeing the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

Mr. Anamekwe, who has attended several management courses both locally and internationally, is Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Fellow, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), and member of Nigeria Institute of Management ( NIM).

At its review meeting held today the 22" of May, 2022 at the residence of Senator Rochas Okorocha, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Ogbonniya Onu, the Aspirants agree to make the following statements;

We can vividly recall the scenario that marred parties like APGA, PDP in the past 6 to 7 years.
Till now, these political parties are still struggling for survival.

For any party to survive and make disciples of people, the man at the helm of affairs of the party and his laudable dreams must be taken into consideration.
It's often been said that when the head is sick, the entire body is sick.


Since the emergence of Dist Sen Hope Uzodinma as the Governor of Imo State, which by virtue of the aforementioned, makes him the leader of the party in the state, our great party has enjoined absolute tranquility and stability.

Yes, there is no party without it's ups and downs. The way you manage the upheavals matters so much. This is where the attributes of the party leader comes into play.

Gov Hope Uzodinma as the leader of APC in Imo has done so much to ensure that our great party is not marred by the activities of certain elements who are bent on making the party a factory of discord.
He has made sure APC is now one and big family to the chagrin of many.

Evidently, the last State and ward Congresses of our great party in the state, which were smooth exercises ,have shown the man in Gov Hope Uzodinma......a builder and a peace initiator.

RECOVERY MISSION: IMO AIR AND ASSOCIATED MISAPPROPRIATED FUNDS NEEDS TO BE RECOVERED

By popular demand and in bringing to bare, the subversion of accrued benefits to my people by the Rochas Okorocha administration, I make bold to call on His Excellency the Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma to, as a matter of public urgency, apply the full weight of the Recovery arm of 3R in recovering all that had been spent by the Rochas administration in the razzmatazz of Imo Air.

For over a month now, the Shared Prosperity administration have been on evangelism - spreading the good news around town about the man whom God sent when Imolites needed a salvage from the hands of the enemies. I am leveraging on this evangelism that has so far attracted greater commendations to the 3R Government, to channel the ever-blazing flame of the 3R in recovering all that had been written off while the jamboree on IMO Air lasted.

Being a State owned Airline and having a functional airport in Ngor Okpala, it was anticipated that Imo Air operational Headquarters would have been at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Ngor Okpala but for the fact that it rode on the heels of "vum vam", the question of Headquarters may not arise but the lost hope and all associated depressive impact (still subsisting) it created on the people of Ngor Okpala and Imo State at large, Your Excellency we believe our tone is in consonance with other Imolites when we seek your actions in that direction.

It remains astonishing watching our counterparts soar in the Airline industry that we appropriated even before them. Less than a year Imo Air was floated, it hasn't landed. While we may not have the old Imo Air back, we seek that a comprehensive inquest be launched in order to unravel the drama surrounding it and possibly recover misappropriated funds so as to nourish the desire of Imolites.

A solemn appeal have I just made.

Senator Hope Uzodinma , Imo State governor, is currently doing everything possible to ensure equitable and quality access to basic healthcare for Imo citizens, especially the poor and most vulnerable in the society .

The governor since office assumption, embarked on massive equipment upgrade and Infrastructural improvement at the Imo State University Teaching Hospital, IMSUTH, located in Orlu; the annexes at Ogbaku, Anara and Alike Obowo. This is to buttress the point that Uzodinma is determined to turn the state as a hub for medical tourism, thereby, reducing foreign medical treatment to it's lowest minimal.

The revamping of abandoned dialysis centre with 7 functional machines, ultrasound room, reversed osmosis unit, colposcopy unit and neurology theatre unit. Others include completion of all the abandoned blocks at phase 2 of the hospital, provision of water throughout the hospital building, improvement of human capital development and staff motivation. These were done by the working governor to reduce foreign medical treatments to the barest minimum.

Recent visit to the health facility during a fact finding mission and an interface with the Chief Medical Director, CMD, Dr. Ifeanyi Nwamba, a Rome trained Surgeon, showed the governor's determination to drastically reduce the amount of money Imolites and Nigerians spend on foreign medical tour.

Further, our findings revealed that the 3R administration has immensely improved on the welfare package for IMSUTH staff including making concerted efforts to provide the health workers with a friendly environment, facilities and tools to work with.

IMSUTH Orlu dialysis section that had been in a state of comatose for several years before Uzodinma's emergence, now runs competitive services with the help of specialists and other support staff.

Uzodinma’s huge investment at IMSUTH, Orlu and its aforementioned annex would strengthen the income of the state while elevating the state as the hub for medical tourism in the country.

The facelift that the governor made at IMSUTH gives patients strong hope that their health would not be played with. Indeed, the various units of the hospital are wearing new look and are environmental friendly. It is amazing that the duo of Senator Uzodimma and Dr. Nwamba are contributing immensely to the development of the health sector. Most importantly, the governor has ensured that IMSUTH workers are paid their salaries regularly since he took over as the governor of the state.

The construction of the inner road leading to the medical facility, the renovation of old and new buildings in the hospital, the provision of hospital parking lay-out and beautification with security house at the phase 2 of the hospital are encouraging.

Consequently, i, hereby, appeal to Imolites and residents to be rational and appreciate the efforts the government is making so far to ensure that the state is returned to its cherished glory. Indeed, this government is for all Imolites. Let us not see this administration as Gov Hope Uzodinma's government, lets us see it as ours.

PDP will disappoint him

- A booster to Imo GDP

The 3R administration of HE Gov Hope Uzodimma have assured Imolites that his administration is bent on recovering stolen assets of the state with the institution of rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery mantra which led to the recovery of 43 oil ceded to Rivers State over two decades.

Among the 43 oil wells recovered viz - 22 oil wells are situated at Mgbede Field in Egbema, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, while 21 oil wells are situated at the Akri Field in Oguta Local government area.

The government of Imo State led by Gov Hope Uzodimma having made complaint to National Boundary Commission upon assumption of office over the attribution of 17 oil wells situated in communities within the state, especially those of Oguta LGA, to Rivers State for over 20 years.

This situation led to National Boundary Commission to conduct a boundary review and demarcation that recently saw the oil wells returned to Imo State.

Uzodimma's efforts have yielded fruit as this extra revenue of N8bn per month, Imo people will experience rapid road expansions, universal healthcare, watertight security, social cover for the vulnerable, modernised schools, gratuities, zero youth unemployment, affordable housing for the masses, safely managed water for every home, low taxation – prosperity in short.

The recovery of the oil wells will serve as a boost to the revenue generation of the state and Imo will assume a stronger position in the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

With the recovery of 43 oil well in the state, Imo State is now the 4th largest oil producing State in Nigeria.

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has distinguished himself as a leader committed to the welfare and plights of the people of Imo state as he has made sure that his beloved people enjoys the dividends of democracy.

The historical emergence of Governor Hope Uzodimma in January, 15, 2020, and as we all know, within two months into his government, the world and especially Imo was greeted with the Covid 19 pandemic which is what we are suffering till today and the people's Governor, Hope Uzodimma provided palliatives materials to all homes in Imo state. What a man with a large and accommodating heart!

Even before his emergence as Governor, the Omuma born former lawmaker that represented Imo West for eight uninterrupted years was known for his philanthropic gestures to all and sundry and that is why Imolites are happy when the Apex court in the land declared him the duly elected Governor of Imo state.

The hope of Imolites increased because the Governor Hope Uzodimma is a man that is known for kindness. Even most schorlars have argued that kindness runs in the blood of the people's Governor.

Imo Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has shown through his actions and inactions that he is committed to providing the state with good governance which is what the people of Imo state had long sought for.

Gov. Hope Uzodimma is not joking about his commitment as he has tirelessly shown even in this period of our security challenges facing the country that he eats and drink Imo.

It's on this premium that I express my optimism that Governor Uzodimma will change the political narrative in the state if only the politicians will give him a breathing space and stop distracting him unnecessary pressure.

Let us give the Governor some breathing space so that he can truly implement his programmes. Gov. Hope Uzodimma is fully loaded with programmes and projects for the people of Imo State.

It's on this note that I passionate appeal to the Governor's detractors, let's us keep faith alive and support the government of shared prosperity of Senator Hope Uzodimma in his avowed desire and determination to build the Imo of our collective dreams.

The shared prosperity government of His Excellency Gov. Hope Uzodinma has in no small measure brought an unprecedented breakthrough and remarkable developments in the entire Imo State such that even the opposition parties now appreciate the gains of having Gov. Uzodinma superintendenting the affairs of Imo state government.

Gov. Uzodinma has given Owerri and it's environ a face lift by way of massive infrastructure and physical developments.
The workaholic and people's Governor, Hope Uzodinma has achieved a great feat that no other Governor has been able to achieve in Imo State. Imo can now undoubtedly compete with other major cities and States in Nigeria.

The people of Imo State are now very viable, responsive and participate actively in government unlike what the story was during the previous administrations.

The Governor has continuously and relentlessly changed the negative narratives left by his predecessors and showed great tact in his approach to governance by meticulously addressing critical issues that have never been implemented before, in order to ensure a better quality of life for the people of Imo people.

The Gov. in his quest to touch all nooks and crannies of the state, has remodelled Dan Anyiam Hand Ball Stadium for competitive sports activities, and football clubs have since been engaging in football matches in the stadium.

In Youth Development, the Governor has provided a whopping sum of N4 billion for the empowerment of 15,000 Imo Youths with the sum of N250.000 each, as a stimulus to cushion the effect of Covid 19 on the economy.

These and lot more that have been put in place in Imo, are the numerous ways the Governor has redefined the state since his emergence.

While other political leaders in the state see the youths as agents and machineries to carry out thuggery and hatchet jobs, at election time, the People's Governor, Hope Uzodimma sees Imo youths as fellow leaders of today that need every necessary support they can get to make progress in life.

It is no gain saying that Imo Youths have never been as engaged, in the history of the state, as they are right now, under the Shared Prosperity Government of Gov. Uzodimma.

The recently concluded training exercise tagged "One Youth, One Farm" which was aimed at equipping the youths on the contemporary knowledge and resources necessary to venture into farming is just one of the many programmes mapped out under this administration to make Imo youths self-reliant and self-employed, which also includes, the 250,000 naira empowerment fund for 15,000 Imo Youths.

You can also recall that Gov. Uzodimma on a journey in search of the truth and to assuage the feelings of aggrieved lmo Youths during the ENDSARS protests across the country, set up a Judicial Commission Of Inquiry On Police Brutality headed by Hon. Justice Florence I. Duruoha-Igwe and has since commenced the process of bringing justice to the aggrieved families following the recommendations of the panel after completing their assignments.

The youths are hereby encouraged to continue to support the government by being law abiding, knowing that it is indeed Youth O'clock in Imo State, all thanks to the most Youth Friendly Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma.

Imo State Civil Service, Gov Uzodimma Has Restored The Lost Glory Through Quality Reforms In The System.

Before the Shared Prosperity Government came into power, Imo State Civil Service was at its lowest point in the history of our dear state because of the malfeasance of the former state administrators that nearly destroyed the entire system.

The People's Governor Hope Uzodimma upon taking the oath of office and knowing fully well that urgent attention was needed for the narratives to change, immediately swung into action with some quality reforms to restore the lost glory of the State Civil Service.

Apart from sponsoring the retraining of the civil servants to meet up to the standard required of them to produce good results at work, the governor went ahead to introduce the best welfare package ever seen before for civil servants by launching a to and fro free buses for them within the Owerri metropolis and also promised to extend it to other parts of the state to restore the dignity and pride of the workers.

In his interactions with Imo Stakeholders few months ago, Gov. Uzodimma brought to their notice, the return of merrit as a mobility in the State Civil Service which is evident in the latest installation of 11 new Permanent Secretaries having emerged from a transparent promotional exercise.

"The reforms we instituted in the civil service, including but not limited to the automation of staff welfare settlements, has returned the consciousness of staff members and their attitude to work. I am confident to announce that based on this automation, civil servants and pensioners are paid as at when due and we would continue to clear others who have not received their entitlements due to discrepancies" the governor said.

Earlier before now when the Shared Prosperity Government of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma brought out the design of the new Imo City, some of the opposition of the Government made jest of it because they never believed that the new normal could be possible.

When the Government started with the removal of the roundabouts to introduce a modern traffic free projects there were critiques from various groups, acclaimed opinion moulders, churches, radio stations and even commuters. To them previous Governors have repeated the same thing but could not solve traffic problems in Imo State, some said that it was waste of resources, others said it was a way of siphoning funds because they still believed on the old order of clean water in a dirty bottle.

We shall recall that before now commuters queue for more than three to five hour at various junctions in Owerri Municipality like that of Warehouse roundabout, Government House roundabouts, Imsu junction, old Fire service roundabout, Naze number one roundabout to mention but a few.

Today every Imolite, commuters and opposition parties are singing praises and applauding the calm but well articulating Governor of Imo State Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for solving one of the major problems of the State in the capital City of Imo State. When the projects are totally completed we shall have a brand new Owerri capital City.

Amarachi Chyna Iwuanyanwu, Imo Deputy Speaker and member representing Nwangele State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly has on Friday; 15th Day of October, 2021, commissioned two (2) economic important and strategic markets in Nwangele LGA namely;

i. Nkwo-Ebu Prosperity Market &

ii. Nwaorieokpo Prosperity Market in Abba and Abajah respectively.

These all important markets situated in Nwangele LGA has been neglected by successive governments, legislators, political leaders and was left in ruins and in total comatose for decades. Rt Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu came with a sincere assurances aimed at recovering, rehabilitating and reconstruction of the market during his campaign period prelude to 2019 general election.

Speaking at the event, Iwuanyanwu Expressed joy that he is more fulfilled when he puts smiles on the faces of his people which is his primary responsibility aside making laws and supporting some laws that will be of great benefit to his constituents and Imo in general.

Beaming with smiles, visibly elated Market women and men heaped thanks and offered some prayers and blessings to the Lawmaker who they described as God sent.

While offering some heartfelt thanks, Iwuanyanwu thanked his people who found him worthy to represent them at the Imo State House of Assembly.

On this note today, over 100 market women will be beneficiaries of this empowerment program as a support and a booster for their various businesses". He encouraged his constituents to always give support to Gov. Hope Uzodimma who he once described as "The Capacitor that gives power to the Capacity".

He reminded the communities and traders to always keep the Market surroundings clean, warning against the dangers of buying and selling on the Road sides.

Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Executive Governor of Imo State and the pilot of Shared Prosperity administration has shown excess capacity in tackling insecurity in Imo State.

When he assumed office he called several security meetings and after critical analysis he launched Operation Search and Flush with commensurate working tools.

The method applied by the Governor to handle the attacks and activities of Unknown Gunmen yielded positive results that brought about the peace we are enjoying in Imo State today unlike what we are seeing in our neighbouring states.

It seems the opposition of the Shared Prosperity Government of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma are not happy with the return of peace in the State following their engagements on FAKE NEWS & UNFOUNDED RUMOURS to cause panic and fear in our peaceful State instead of joining force with the Government to fight insecurity in the State. The effect of insecurity does not consider the political party one belongs to.

- The Deputy Speaker of the Imo House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu has declared that the recent visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state will be of immense benefit to Imolites. Iwuanyanwu, who is the member representing Nwangele state constituency in the Imo Assembly, made the comment during an exclusive interview.

He said the presidential visit was an opportunity for President Buhari to see the work done so far by Governor Hope Uzodimma and his team in Imo state.

He noted that the visit will also enable the president to know what sectors he can render help to Imo and its residents henceforth.

He added: “For instance, there are some federal roads that the governor has embarked on that are actually state roads, but because of the viability of those roads. He has embarked on them with meager funds. “So, if the president goes back with what he has seen on ground, he can decide that the federal government and assist.” He added that because of the good work that the Uzodimma-led government is doing in Imo state, corruption is fighting back from all angles. He said “This presidential visit is epochal in different dimensions.

Firstly, this is the first time in the last 12 years that we will be hosting the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, solely for the purpose of work rather than election or any other social or extra administrative reasons. “This is to say that for the first time in 12 years, the Nigerians seat of power is fully relocating to Imo state, albeit, for just a day.

The far-reaching significance of this cannot be overemphasized.” Buhari is impressed with projects in Imo.

Recall that President Buhari on Thursday, September 9, expressed satisfaction at the extent of work done so far in Imo state under Governor Uzodimma. The president said that he is impressed at the kind of infrastructural development and the level of security in the state.

He noted that the two areas in which the governor has performed well align with his Next Level vision for Nigeria.

Buhari asks Uzodimma to continue with good works in Imo. President Buhari had earlier declared that he has seen enough to account for the good deeds of Governor Uzodimma.

Buhari made the statement during his visit to Imo where he commissioned projects carried out by the Uzodimma-led government. He added that he is fascinated by the Imo state leader’s giant strides even in the face of unforeseen circumstances.

The administration of the two term governor of Imo State and now Senator representing Imo West at the Red Chambers, Rochas Okorocha, was one that was characterized with mixed feelings 'ndi na ochi ndi na akwa'.

Those whose properties were purportedly revoked and cornered by the then government were in tears and agony. Many of such individuals and groups ran to the judiciary as the last hope of common man, got judgement in their favour but the then government threw caution to the wind and ignored such judgments.

In the full glare of every Imolite, many of such landed properties belonging to individuals, communities and even the ones owned by the state was shared among top government functionaries and cronies to the then administration.

What was in the mind and lip of every well meaning Imolite before the 2019 governorship election in Imo State was to elect a governor who will recover Imo properties and assets looted during the reign of Senator Rochas Okorocha as Imo governor for 8 solid years.

One of the cardinal promises made by Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma during his inaugural speech in January 15, 2021, was the Recovery of Imo looted assets and patrimony as initiated by the ousted Emeka Ihedioha led administration who set up a Judicial Commission of Inquiry on land.

Many thought that Uzodinma's promise to recover Imo looted assets was one of the usual political statements by politicians. To a large extent the present administration in the state have remained unwavering in its drive to return every geninue landed property taken away from an Imolite, group of people or community back to them.

As a man of his word, Governor Hope Uzodinma allowed the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on Land already set up by his predecessor to complete its task which subsequently submitted its report which is now gazetted as 'Government White Paper' and a legally binding document domiciled in Imo State.

An average Nigerian politician could have swept this 'daylight robbery' of Imo assets to the carpet and life continues.
Some could have used this opportunity to win more political allies to themselves but Uzodinma knowing fully well that he is answerable to God and to Imo people, summoned courage to do the right thing.

Recovery as embedded in the 3R mantra of Senator Hope Uzodinma administration is yielding positive results. Most of the properties cornered by this one man and his cronies who openly bragged that he is richer than the state is gradually been recovered to the admiration of all.

Today, the Imo State second University built with tax payers money and was named Eastern Palm University, Ogboko, as against its original name and objective, have been recovered and renamed, Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University Ogboko with a substantive Vice Chancellor appointed by the state government to manage the institution.

Also, the Royal Spring Palm Hotel and Apartments built on green verge, IBC Quarters converted to Rochas Foundation College Orji, many plots of land belonging to the state government, individuals, groups and communities have been recovered why many others are in the process of been retrieved and recovered back to the original owners as promised by Governor Hope Uzodinma.

There is every need to commend Senator Hope Uzodinma for living up to the expectations of many Imolites in recovering what generally belongs to them. The present administration in the state have remained resolute and unwavering in pursuing this matter to its logical end legally without minding the multitudes of law suits to stampede the state government from doing the right thing it set out to achieve.

On 2 June 2020, the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on land and related matters submitted its report to the Imo State Government which is now gazzeted as 'Government White paper' and a legal document to operate with in enforcing and implementing the recommendations by the committee.

Also the Uzodinma led administration took another bold step in its determination to implement to the later, recommendations made by the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on land and related matters by Inaugurating another powerful committee headed by Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie.

It is now an established legal fact that lands and properties belonging to both the government and individuals were either illegally acquired or misappropriated in the past as identified by the Judicial Commission of Inquiry. The commission's report has been accepted by the government and Gazetted.

While Inaugurating the Implementation Committee for the recommendations on the White Paper on Lands and Related Matters as headed by Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, Governor Uzodinma charged members of the Committee with the responsibility of recovering all assets belonging to the State and/or any individual listed in the White Paper.

Without sounding immodest, Governor Hope Uzodinma has shown commitment and the readiness of his administration to actualize the common desire of every well meaning Imolite to recover every single looted asset in the state no matter who or those involved in it.

Hope Uzodinma deserves a resounding commendation for living up to the expectations of Imo people in seeing that the state looted assets are recovered fully.

It is worthy to note that this move by the State Government to recover assets illegally acquired by some individuals in the past can not be fully achieved without the help and support of every Imolite. It therefore behooves on every well meaning Imolite to support this government to succeed in this direction.

Setting the records straight

There is a picture being circulated by some misguided fellows with a sole aim to deceive the unsuspecting public. In the said picture, they wanted Ndi Imo to believe that the government through her contractor was seen painting an already constructed road to appear new for commissioning by PMB.
The narrative was not only laughable but it further exposed the level of ignorance and cheer dumbness on the side of the purveyors of the fake and unfounded story.

To educate them further, what you saw the contractor of the said road doing is called COLAS ‘A’ EMULSION SPRAYING.

It is usually sprayed on the SURFACE COURSE (BINDING COURSE) it is also known as surface dressing which is usually done on the already laid SURFACE COURSE (BINDING COURSE) to improve on the binding powers of the both layers.
The major purpose of this exercise is to the courses attain the maximal binding force between the two layers and to prevent sheath erosion from watching off the SURFACE DRESSING (WEARING COURSE) because it forms a stronger binder between the two courses. It also aides in increasing the longevity of the pavement where it was applied before laying the wearing course. The use of the emulsion as an additive to improve a binding force of asphalts is among the global best practice in road construction today.

I am not surprised that the Opposition elements couldn’t fathom the reason behind the process because all the roads built when they held sway was all substandard which could not outlive their administration and their ignorance further exposed them the more before Ndi Imo because their inability to identify and understand what the contractor was tells more of the type of job they did on our roads which simply means that some very important processes was boycotted.

Finally, you don’t engage in blackmails in other to discredit the government but like I’ve always said, engage the government with some constructive criticisms and also pose as an alternative to the government before the governed.

THE MANY SINS OF Hope Uzodimma PT 1.

In my calm, humane nature, I have taken time to look into the reason(s) behind the barrage of attacks, propaganda, and destructive criticism against Senator Hope Uzodinma the Executive Governor of Imo State and his government and what I found out will surprise you.

1. Senator Hope Uzodinma on assumption of office as the Governor of Imo State, declared "WAR AGAINST BAD ROAD NETWORK IN IMO STATE" in return in what looked like nobody is allowed to build roads in Imo state, the Opposition camps declared war on Governor Uzodinma.

2. Governor Hope Uzodinma embarked on verification of civil servants in order to obtain a very clean payroll as well as cut down frivolous government expenses as his government has come to save not to destroy. The opposition in their usual pull him down syndrome, went to the public space and lied to the public that Governor Uzodinma is not paying workers. But findings revealed that the opposition is crying because the government led by Senator Hope Uzodinma has weeded off fictitious names through which the oppositions siphoned money from government purse.

3. Governor Hope Uzodunma removed the disastrous pension for ex-Governors in Imo State not minding that one day he will also become an ex-Governor. This again threw the opposition leaders off balance and they immediately mobilised their stooges to attack the Governor Hope Uzodinma led administration and paint him black in order to make him reverse and reinstate their pension but thanks to God who gave us a man who is more focused in getting the right things done instead of the mad rush for acquisition of wealth with which some past Imo Governors were known for.

4. Governor Hope Uzodinma passionately and backed by law, set machineries in motion to recover every Imo property looted or illegally acquired and urged Imolites to also recover any government property in his possession at the end of his tenure. This indeed was another sin of Uzodinma that broke the camel's back. The opposition leaders in whose custody these properties were domiciled, went mad, hired social media urchins, with their fat purses stolen from Imo State fund, dominated the social and print media spaces, began to hurl lies, fake news and did anything to malign and destroy Uzodinma even if it meant burning down the State.

5. Governor Hope Uzodinma in his touch of class, began the Imo State Urban Renewal Project, an Idea which restored Imo state capital to the glory dreamt of by our founding fathers. This again the oppositions saw as another mighty feat of the Uzodinma administration and immediately, they pounced on Uzodinma with their lies and fake news.

However, the question on the lips of well meaning Imo Sons and daughters includes but not limited to;

"Does it mean that the opposition leaders and their stooges does not want anything good to happen in Imo state?"

"Does it mean that Hope Uzodinma has out performed their expectations in so much a little time in office?"

"Are Opposition leaders in Imo State afraid that if Hope Uzodinma is given a free hand, they (the opposition leaders) will no longer be relevant politically because of the good works Uzodinma has put on ground?"

I call on all Imolites of goodwill to support the present day government of Imo state as we pray for the Governor for divine direction because Imo is the only State we can call our own.

GOV UZODINMA'S ABSENCE ESSENTIAL FOR IMO GOOD
........CRITICS WILL SOON SING PRAISES

In the past few days, some persons whom i would rather want to believe want Imo to prosper instead of unwarranted attacks on their government have continued to bombard the social media with comments and questions over Sen Hope Uzodinma's stay in Abuja.

Well their answers is stirring us right in the face but it's important to buttress here that criticism done constructively/objectively by the opposition makes way for a healthy delivery of good governance while hate speech and critics of calumny has never in any way brought any society the desired type of governance.

However, let me say here too that His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma "Onwa Oyoko" has exhibited calmness and administrative dexterity in the manner he has gone about ensuring that he delivers good governance irrespective of the Pandemics and Insecurity issues which in no little measure has taken the greater part of 2020 & 2021.

Back to the crux of the matter;
Governor Hope Uzodinma on his return has downed tension over his necessary absence from the state stating that all is set for President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the State on Thursday, September 9.

It even became more assuring that the Governor disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the Sam mbakwe international cargo airport, Owerri on Saturday.

To further prove that he wasn't in Abuja for jamboree as was erroneously suspected by some persons, Gov Uzodinma who spoke upon his return from an official trip to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, said that the President would commission some significant projects executed by his administration.

Because he feels the pause of his subjects and because of his transparent nature of administration which for me has been evident on road construction, welfare of Imo workers among many others, the Governor further revealed that he visited Abuja to address some political matters and critical issues concerning the good of Imo that are supposed to be handled in Abuja for optimal goal.

The unwavering, resilient and selfless leader even let the masses into his leadership thoughts when he listed the issues to include getting Federal Government’s assistance on the World Bank programmes on rural roads, Ecological programmes, Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management (NEWMAP) projects among other erosion control issues.

As a mark of respect the Governor went further to give explicit reasons because his hunger to always carry his people along in every policy and engagements took the pain to explain the that while he was in Abuja, he secured approval for President Muhammadu Buhari to visit Imo on Thursday, September 9, 2021 to commission some significant projects put together by the Shared Prosperity Administration as a fulfilment of his campaign policies not minding the strangest constraint any administration has ever faced in the state.

More to that, the hardworking Governor has been able to attract for the good people of Imo additional support from Mr President on management of some Ecological problems in the state especially in this critical period that the rain has been so devastating and following the erosion menace being faced in some areas of the state.

The 'icing on the cake' was his comments on the mark of respect the ruling National ruling party (APC) has on our enigmatic and dynamic Governor, which i must confess also comes with more responsibilities especially on his assignment as the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the Anambra Governorship election.

Let me at this juncture simply acknowledged the importance of the responsibility thrust on him by the party, which is a sign of trust.

As a good brother's keeper who has also shown capacity to restore confidence in the entire south east, he simply wants a zone that can plug correctly back to the national grid starting with the good reconciliatory work in Anambra state ahead their Guber election for a prosperous south east zone and its high time for us to alienate ourselves from doing wrong critics and support our leader to imprint the 3R mantra for the good of Imo and the zone.

Truth be told the strategies adopted to reduce traffic congestion by Governor Hope Uzodinma's administration in the heartland city of Owerri, Imo Sate capital is indeed working.

Three of the many notable roads that have been given a facelift are the Fire Service , Warehouse Junction and Aba Road by Akachi.

The rehabilitation of over 42 roads across the state is also one of the major accomplishment of the 3R government within the past 19months.

I live in Owerri and ply these roads on daily basis and strongly believe that the ongoing construction and modernisation of roads as well as the provision of street lights around Douglas Road, among others will impact positively on efficiency of transportation and enhanced property values, while improving safety and security and better economic productivity.

Some of the major road projects almost complete with modern facilities such as street lights, pipe ducts, drainage channels and beautification of medians, which have been delivered to the public include the Douglas Road,, MCC road , Government House Road among others

Im highly optimistic that with all these strategies well developed and managed, there will be an ultimate reduction in travel time and flooding around Owerri.

Federal Govt. flags off recommencement of paying stipends to beneficiaries of the FG household uplifting program - Conditional Cash Transfer in Imo


The Federal Government through the office of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has in Imo State, began payment of backlog of stipends owed beneficiaries of one of its National Social Investment Programme, N-SIP, known as Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).

The programme which commenced Tuesday with the people from Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the state, took place at the Amaraku Primary School in the LGA. It had about 905 beneficiaries, who were paid stipends being owed to them from September 2020 to December 2020, which amounted to N20,000 as N5000 was stipulated to be paid for each month.

Speaking to press men, Onyekachi Mabel, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for National Cash Transfer, Abuja, reiterated the essence of the CCT programme, saying that it is part of the Federal Government NSIP initiative aimed at aiding the poor and the vulnerable in the country. Ms Onyekachi clarified that the people were being owed as a result of their transition from the office of the Vice -President to that of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, with such movement according to her, posed little challenges that led to the delay. She noted that as they have began with the payment, that they will continue doing so; batch by batch until the whole debt is cleared and up to date.


The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Budget, Economic Planning and Statistics, Rev. Udeh Reginald, representing the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry, Dr. Christopher Osuala, expressed joy that the State is once again keyed in with other States, that their poor and vulnerable ones are being remembered.

Adding her voice, the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs and Focal Person of N-SIP in the State, Hon. Princess Christina Eligwe Ude, applauded the Federal Government for what they are doing for the country and further commended the Governor of lmo State, Distinguish Senator Hope Uzodimma for having the interest of the people at heart and wholeheartedly supporting the NSIP programs in the state.

She stated that they are now focusing on the nine LGA in the State and that hopefully by the end of the year, they will get to the other remaining LGAs. Ude averred that the governor is passionate about the programme as he is poised to providing everything needed to make the programme a success in the state. She further wished the beneficiaries well and urged them to endeavour to use the money given to them judiciously.

Also present in the event is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ruby Emele, and the Head Unit of the State CCT, Mr. Joseph Odoemenam. They further expressed joy over the fact that the people have been made happy by the government.

Some of the beneficiaries of the programme were - Mrs Chinonso Amechi; a Poultry and a Palm Oil Business woman, Mrs Elizabeth Ike; a Trader, Mr. Azubike Innocent; a Palm Wine tapper; Mrs. Abigail Ezirim, a Kerosine seller, Cordelia Igbokwe a Crayfish dealer, among others. The beneficiaries appreciated the organizers of the programmes and prayed that God will continue to bless the President for keeping his campaign promises. They also assured the team of judiciously using the funds as not to let the effort of the government be in vein.

With the emergence of this global threat, Nigerian Govt and health professionals became alert and rolled out proactive measures to combat this deadly infectious disease with first recorded case on 27th of February 2020 involving an Italian citizen who works in Nigeria and returned from Milan, Italy to Lagos, Nigeria on the 25th of February 2020. He was confirmed positive to Covid 19 by Virology Laboratory of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.





Down the line, after months of total lockdown in the entire country, markets, schools, recreational centre, places of worship and transport system were shut down. The National Caretaker Committee of the APC has joint appointed His youthfulness Rt. Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu, the ebullient, sagacious Deputy Speaker of Imo State Assembly to Chair the South-East Zonal Strategic Committee that would engage party leaders to lobby for the full inclusion and participation of youths in the forthcoming congresses.

In practical demonstration of his love, total committment and resilience to provide portable drinking water for his constituency and in consonance with the Shared Prosperity Agenda of H.E Gov. Hope Uzodimma (Onwa), Imo State Deputy Rt Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu ably represented by his DG, Chief Paul Duru (Ochiriozuo) hands-over 3 more constructed water borehole to 3 Political wards in Nwangele LGA namely viz: Umuozu Ward 1 and Amaigbo Ward 1 & 2.

The construction of this borehole water is in-line with fulfillment of campaign promises to Nwangele by Amara Iwuanyanwu to the people of Nwangele during the built up of 2019 general election that every village/Ward will have a portable drinking water to cushion the effect of water-borne-disease arising from drinking contaminated water from rivers and streams.

Speaking at the event, the IMC Members of Umuozu Ward, Amaigbo 1 & 2, Mr Ethel Ndukwu, Hon Chinaka Nwosu and Hon Chidi Aguocha respectively showered praises on Rt Hon Amara Iwuanyanwu for his resilience and empathy by sinking a multimillionaire borehole project in their various Ward as timely. He assured him of their maximum support and cooperation to move Nwangele to enviable heights.

Chief Philip Uwazuruonye, a renowned Community leader and former Chairman Nwangele LGA thanked Amara Iwuanyanwu for this penchant August gift as "Gold Mine" which will be of great relief to many including the young and aged thereby meeting their age long needs they sort for.

He further applauded Amara Iwuanyanwu for his Numerous legacy project in Nwangele which includes the recent approval by H.E Gov. Hope Uzodimma for the rehabilitation of sections of ST. Mary's Joint Hospital Amaigbo, payments of electricity bills at various Communities in Nwangele gulping over millions of naira, Empowerment programmes, Construction of Markets etc.

Hon Ike Mgbeokwere, Prince Charles Mbachu, Mrs Aguiyi, Hon Chris Anyiam and Chidi Ezeji complimented the efforts of Amara Iwuanyanwu. They echoed that Amara Iwuanyanwu have left an indelible mark in the history of Nwangele which will stand the test of Time.

Former Head, Imo State Water Cooperation, Hon T.C Eze, an ingenous Community leader in Nwangele spoke highly of Amara Iwuanyanwu while commending him for a job a welldone, in his words " Amara, in his intellectual capacity, his human intelligence to remember to give this Samaritan gift, therefore he remains our Samaritan in this part of the world". He continued by saying that Amara knows the importance if water cos' it's quintessential to life. 80% of fluid in human body constitutes of water, hence water is life, particularly good water like the one to be Commissioned today, he concludes.

Finally, Chief Paul Duru, DG Nwangele Project who Represented the Deputy Speaker at the event urged all who gathered to be patient as the dividends of democracy championed by Rt Hon Amara Iwuanyanwu will get to all nooks and crannies of Nwangele LGA. He highlighted the achievements of Amara Iwuanyanwu as top notch in the history of Nwangele. He later called on all and sundry to turn up at the upcoming voters registration exercise which is scheduled to resume in no distance time.

Rt Hon Amara Chyna Iwuanyanwu (Nwangele State Constituency Lawmaker) is the personification of the popular saying: ‘Actions speak louder than words.’

Iwuanyanwu since inception as the Lawmaker Representing Nwangele State Constituency have been topping in his games as there have been robust changes in mired infrastructural dearth for ages in Nwangele LGA, coupled with philanthropic gestures and human Capacity Development.
Little wonder his popularity and benevolence have continued to soar. This has attracted him praises and accolades from people of all ages and social class, including traditional rulers, all and sundry.

A saying that charity begins at home, Mr Capacity as he is fondly called on Easter Sunday, April 4th 2021, gifted a 3 bedroom apartment to Mrs Joyce, a relative and widow who hails from Amuzi, Dim Na Nume-Isu Nwangele LGA, Imo State.

Before the surprise gift, Mrs Joyce have lived all her life in a thatched mud house before the prompt intervention of Amara Iwuanyanwu who never relent in exercising the mandate bestowed upon him by his teaming Constituents. This show of kindness and love have relieved the widow the stress and sufferings accompanied with leaky Palm thatch encountered especially during the rainy season. Mrs Joyce was full of joy today as she offered words of prayers on Amara Iwuanyanwu for changing her story when all hope was lost.

The Capacity Care Foundation, a brain child of Amara Iwuanyanwu also carries out regular empowerment and skill acquisition programmes, widowhood support and micro credit programmes to mention but a few.

Through this foundation, Numerous lives have been impacted positively. Over 20 deep freezers have been donated to Buisness owners, donation of educational materials to school pupils and students, scholarships to indigent students, purchase and distribution of over 40 brand new motorcycles to constituents, payments of medical bills for the sick and downtrodden and has assisted reasonable number of citizens of his State Constituency get admission into higher institutions of learning, as well as employment.

Amara Iwuanyanwu was, according to his constituents, not elected to amass wealth or chase after contracts, but to leverage on the opportunity to touch more lives in diverse positive ways. He has been doing just that. Because, within just two years in Imo State House of Assembly, he has transformed the communities with people oriented project.

However, on Sept 19 2020, Amara Iwuanyanwu fulfilled promises made to Anglican Diocese of Orlu and christian Community as the Parsonage of New Covenant Anglican Church Amuzi Built in Memory of Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu was dedicated to God by His Lordship, The Rt Rev. B.C Okeke MA, JP. This came barley few years after his late father, a born philanthropist and a Knight of the church single handedly Built a brand new church and donated to Anglican Communion in his immediate Amuzi Community.

Iwuanyanwu have sponsored many bills in the 9th Assembly. He has the nitty gritty for effective legislation, little wonder he was voted-in as Imo State Deputy Speaker of the 9th Assembly. He is a committed Legislator who is not a bench warmer.

The assesment of Mr Capacity by his constituents on project execution gives him a distinction as a pacesetter in Nwangele LGA.

Hence, To become a pacesetter, you have to have a heart of Gold.

Imo, Insecurity and the Criminal conspiracy of some leaders and possible Accomplices

Imo is a state known for her serene and peaceful environment where many people of different works of life troupes in to cool off the stress as a result of Hustles and Bustles especially during the weekends.

Owerri her capital city is known as a home for all where all that matters to the inhabitants are how to make ends meet. People from far and near sees Owerri as the only place one can be and enjoy while having some positive engagements.

The hospitality level of the state can't be compared to any other state in Nigeria. Many state became jittery and their leaders embarked on replicating a mini Owerri in their respective states thus making IMO a model to look up to.

Politically, Imo state is rated among the top four (4) of most politically advanced and informed state, the reason is not far fetched because it can be traced to the level of exposure of her citizens in different spheres of life.

Recall, aside Ekiti state, Imo is the only state with the highest number of professors, scholars (NUC gazets) and After Anambra, comes Imo with the second highest number of citizens in different spheres of commerce and industry (NBS).

In the light of the above facts, Imo is now being deserted no thanks to those who sees their selves as *BORN TO RULE* salafists in our midst. They have fought the constituted authorities in the state with every thing in them but has failed and they were left with one option *Violence* and *Gangsterism*. They now sponsor terrorists to cause unrest in the state with sole aim of turning the people against the government a plan that has also failed like others.

They bankrolled many OAPs (On Air Personalities), Social media influencers and Scare mongers to fill the air waves with falsehoods and posit wrong impression about the state and cause panic, fear and send wrong messages to the intending investors and partners.

Some self acclaimed leaders are sitting on the fence while some has made some strong statements supporting the enemies of the state while some through their sympathisers and supporters are financing the activities of these bandits.

Their sole aim is to make Imo a pariah state.

*Things to ponder about*
Its only a foolish person will set his house ablaze because its rat infested; it will be very foolish of us to allow these very minute set of darkened hearts to turn our state into a war theatre.

We can not allow invaders into our lands because once given an inch, he will ask for a foot. All these evil minded fellows should be placed where they truly belong and it must be done as quick as possible. We are people of peace should always be seen as one. Where is our morals if we should condole all the anomalies that is abound in our territories? Let's preach love to the wicked and condemn where necessary.

Let's hold each others' hands in one accord and say;

Arrest/Death of killers of Ahmed Gulak In Imo state.

On 30/5/2021 Sequel to the killing of Ahmed Gulak by Some criminals who suddenly came out to block the Imo Airport road at Obiangwu Junction at Ngor~okpala LGA of Imo state.

The Driver of the Vehicle conveying Ahmed Gulak to the Airport was immediately interviewed and he described the Vehicles the Hoodlums were using as One Toyota Camry 2005 Silver color, Toyota Sienna 1998 Model Gold Color, Toyota Hilux White color, Lexus RX 330 Gold Color.

Police teams from the Special forces,PMF, IRT, IMO State Command Tactical Units who have all reached the Scene of the killing were directed to immediately Proceed on Patrol and look for those Vehicles.

Fortunately at Afor Enyi Ogwgu junction in Same LGA the Police Teams came in contact with the Hoodlums with same Vehicles mentioned by the Driver, The Hoodlums have already confiscated a trailer loaded with Onions from the North and were busy sharing the onions to the local Population as they also took positions to Protect themselves and attack any incoming Security agents.

The Hoodlums on sighting the Police teams immediately Opened fire on the teams and the Galant teams returned Fire and eventually fatally wounded 10 of the Hoodlums during the gun battle while others were pursued as they escaped with their vehicles. 3 of the Four Vehicles Toyota Sienna, Toyota Hilux and Toyota Camry use by the IPOB/ESN Terrorist for their Operation were Demobilized/Recovered and 7 of the Terrorist with bullet wounds were completely burnt down inside the Toyota Sienna and Hilux Vehicles that caught fire during the Gun battle.

3 Ak47 Rifles, 1 English Pistol, 5 Ak47 Magazines, 92 Ak47 Ammunition, Several Charms and 3 Operational Vehicles of the IPOB/ESN were recovered.

Serious efforts in progress to trace and arrest Several wounded IPOB/ESN Terrorist members who are hiding in the surrounding Forrest and villages. The 3 bodies of the IPOB/ESN Terrorist not burnt down were brought to the Police state Headquarters while efforts to recover the burnt bodies of the Hoodlums to the Police state HQ in Progress.
