Rochas Anayo Okorocha LEFT DEATH TRAPS FOR IMOLITES

Sen. Rochas Okorocha, made it clear that Imo State usually experiences acidic rain, that was why he couldn't account for one standard road constructed by him in Imo State in his 8yrs maladministration.

In other words, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha said that, good contractors don't construct roads during the rainy season, that was why he flagged off roads contract by December, after 8month in office.

Now, the e-rats of these two unfortunate administrations are wailing, calling on Gov. Hope Uzodimma without any atom of respect, to transform Imo State to either London or America within his under one year administration.

Bellow are the roads constructed by Sen. Rochas Okorocha, commissioned by him, and got spoilt within six months.

Gov. Uzodimma: Innoson to Move Frontiers in Manufacturing of Autos in Imo state through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry - Ononuju

The leading auto-manufacturer in Africa and CEO of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), Engr. Dr. Innocent Chukwuma have reiterated his comittment and zeal to partner with shared Prosperity Govt of Sen. Hope Uzodimma in establishing an auto-manufacturing plant in the state.

The auto manufacturer was in Imo to cement the agreement with the Government of Imo state ably led by Sen. Hope Uzodimma through Commerce and Industry Commissioner, Barr. Kingsley Ononuju with his drive geared towards creating employment, raising IGR and making Imo industrial / buisness destination in South-East and Nigeria.

Apart from floating manufacturing plant in Imo state, Innoson also partnering with Imo state Govt to float 300 cab to enhance the ease of transportation of commuters in the state. This will also enhance job creation and engage the youths meaningfully.

Just like in other developing countries, Nigeria’s manufacturing sector has a huge potential to grow and compete with many of its counterparts in most emerging and advanced economies. The sector is made up of 77 various sub sectors/ industries from automobile to food, down to plastics. These are ordinarily expected to boost economic growth.

Since the inception of this administration, Gov. Hope Uzodimma have never left any stone unturned in encouraging and attracting potential investors into the state, as Imo is now declared safe Haven to invest by prosperity preaching governor which will invariably provide job opportunity, create wealth, empower the masses and Increase the GDP of the state.

Ononuju while responding to media crew stated "

India, china etc did not become the eyes of auto industry over night. The private sector in India took a bold step to patronize India based product. The boom in local patronage helped their local industries to grow and improve on their products and services. This gave them confidence to export their products. In January 2020, India accounted for approx. 55% market share of the US$ 185-190 billion global buisness services.

Why cant we replicate same in Nigeria. Just like other nations, They looked inward, engineered their own products, patronized their own products, perfected them and are now selling same to the world. We can do so in Nigeria. The Foreigner's (Koreans, Asians, Indians are not more intelligent than Nigerians. To promote local content have always been the mind of Sen. Hope Uzodimma,
who has toed the path of progressive-minded individuals and institutions like Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State who when the rest of us were in a seizure of self-doubt paid upfront for Innoson vehicles to be used by Anambra state government officials.

Ononuju used this medium to commend His Excellency Sen. Hope Uzodimma for purchasing and donating numerous fleets of Innoson auto to cushion numerous challenges bedevilling the health sector and fight against insecurity in the state. This helped in improving the security architecture of the state and improved health/service delivery to the masses he concluded.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari reiterated his passion in promoting local content and growing the economy through the Buy Nigeria initiative. The wise thing is for our leaders to key into the Buhari vision. It is a worthy cause full of emulation by other sister states.

At this point, I think Imo has taken a great leap forward in part of prosperity, on this, I take a bow.

IMO PDP GRIEFS OVER ROAD COMMISSIONING

My friend Ogu Bundu is pained. Unlike Ihedioha who couldn't pull through a kilometer of road in 7 months, Governor Hope Uzodimma is daring the odds in a less travelled path, surmounting the limits of their expectations.

I really do not define opposition in the character and style of an Ihedioha who teaches his proteges, like Ogu Bundu, to become impervious to facts and truth.

People who claim that "Imo must be Rebuilt" are suddenly pained that Governor Hope Uzodimma is commissioning roads within the State capital. This leaves one wondering the quality of their intentions towards Imolites.

This is witchcraft laced with greed. If not, tell me how any one would barefacedly oppose good works done for public good. Ihedioha is a man at war with his past. A past that he could not pacify in his 7months of second chance. How he now expects Imolites to perpetually mourn his personal undoing is another lesson in foolhardiness.

Congratulations ndi Imo. A thousand Ogu Bundu and his fellow Mbutu Social Club journeymen cannot derail the prosperity of our land.

UZODIMMA MAKES HISTORY, IMPLEMENTS CONTRIBUTORY PENSION SCHEME IN IMO

The Executive Governor of Imo State, Dist. Senator Hope Uzodimma has set in motion the process of integrating Imo Pensioners into the National Contributory Pensions Scheme as a way of enhancing good governance.

Governor Uzodimma gave this indication on Friday in a meeting with the leadership of Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP) in Imo State at the Executive Council Chambers Government House Owerri. During the meeting he informed that everything concerning pensions and salary of Imo workers have been automated to make day-to-day running of Government easy.

The Governor reiterated his earlier stand that pensions and salaries are not negotiable, insisting that what has brought the delay in payment is the discovery of overwhelming fraud, discrepancies and irregularities resulting from salary padding, over bloated and double pensions among other sharp practices that include, where some pensioners receiving monies above their retirement salaries and some even outrageous monies that are not accounted for.

Expressing bitterness over the development, the governor said soon names of those who earn above N330m (three hundred and thirty million Naira) per annum as pension will be published for Imo people to know.

“Government will no more make use of micro finance banks for payments of salaries and pensions because they are no clearing house for BVN holders,” the governor said and reassured that the government has decided to pay pensioners directly.

By the discoveries as presented to the leadership of pensioners and NLC Chairman who was in attendance, the Governor informed that out of 13,800 primary school teachers, only 9,000 are found to be real and that only primary and secondary school teachers who have been verified and confirmed to be employees of government will receive their salaries.

The Governor advised those playing politics with pensions and salaries to desist from doing so as his sole objective has remained to dismantle the cabal that milk the state dry through the pensions and salaries. “Government has decided to automate all payments to enable it migrate to the contributory pension’s scheme.”

In their presentations earlier, the chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Austin Chilakpu eulogized the efforts so far made by the Governor towards payment of salaries and pensions in the State. 10 PDP govs to join APC soon – Yahaya Bello
Published June 26, 2020

Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has debunked claims that there is crisis in the All Progressives Congress, saying about 10 governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party will soon defect to the APC.

He said this while featuring as a guest on Channels Television’s Politics Today, on Friday.

According to him, the dissolution of the National Working Committee and other decisions reached at the National Executive Council meeting of the party on Thursday has made the APC stronger.

He also debunked claims that the APC will fall apart when the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), leaves office, saying those with such notion “are making a great mistake”.

He also denied that governors caused the ongoing crisis in the party, noting Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, would be made to return to APC.

He added, “APC is getting stronger, and like I said, it’s going to be proved in the next few days or the next few weeks to come in the election of Edo , Ondo, Anambra, Ekiti, Osun states.

“It’s unfortunate that our colleague, my brother, and my in-law, Obaseki has left us, but as a party and a party-loyal man, we have to reclaim him.

“I can tell you that there are up to 10 PDP governors ready to join APC and that would happen very soon.”

He clarified that the former National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, and other NWC members were removed to bring peace into the party.

He added that the decision was not targetted at undermining the influence of the APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu.

He said, “The assertion that some governors decided to create the crisis in the party is unfounded. We can’t demolish a house that we built. Oshiomhole did not offend anyone and nobody offended Oshiomhole.

“Tinubu has paid his dues; and nobody is undermining him. He continues to play a fatherly role. We need him and he needs us.”

IHEDIOHA OMITTED OUR NAMES FROM PENSIONS PAYROLL

.... IMO PENSIONERS LAMENT

By Iheanyi Enwerem

On Tuesday, Imo State Pensioners took over the capital city of Owerri to exercise their civil right by staging a peaceful protest, demanding the State government to look into the delay in payment of their pensions.

Some of the pensioners who were interviewed by #ScatteringNews revealed that they were owed 24 months of pensions, while others stated that the administration of Emeka Ihedioha omitted their names from the pension payroll even after they were accredited.

It will be recalled that Gov. Hope Uzodimma, earlier announced of the fraud in payroll of pensions in the State, this however justifies that past administrations in the State mismanaged the payment of pensions in Imo State.

GOV. UZODIMMA ADOPT 9 YEAR OLD IMO WIZKID SINGER, AS OWN CHILD... SPONSORS HIS EDUCATION

Luck smiled on Mbaise born 9 year old Imo wizkid singer, Master Joseph Oluomachi Opara, yesterday as Governor Hope Uzodinma announced that he has adopted him as his child and undertook to personally sponsor him from primary school to Catholic priesthood

Master Opara made waves in the internet at the weekend with a video of his catholic hymn songs which marked him out as a specially talented kid singer. This attracted instant applause and commendations from the public.

Announcing the good news to the Opara family home in Nekede mechanic village in owerri yesterday, state commissioner for information and strategy, Declan Emelumba, said the governor sent him to inform the family that he has adopted thier son as his own child and will personally take over full responsibility for training him until he becomes a Rev. PoliticsHope Uzodimma; Fidelity To The People by masterpiscles15(op): 7:05pm On Jun 14, 2020
HOPE UZODIMMA; FIDELITY TO THE PEOPLE

Anyone who read the governor's speech on June 12, Nigeria's new democracy day will recognise one thing: the fidelity of the governor is to the people. HE Hope Uzodimma isn't here to pacify or encourage the old system neither will he cow to their subtle threats. He is here for one thing, set Imo state on the path of prosperity. This prosperity is a shared one- not familocracy or cronyism. Everyone from Imo state or who work in Imo state will have a share in this prosperity

One particular thing I love about the governor is his insistence on following the due process. The vociferousness of the tiny minority who control the old system will not stop him from doing what is right. In his words "I will not mortgage my conscience because, I want to bequeath a stolen inheritance to my children and generations yet unborn. I will not betray the true tenets of democracy just to receive a hasty applause. "

HE Hope Uzodimma is on the march and as the hope of Imolites he will not do things the old way. He has begun the digitalization of all government payment in Imo state and all payments, including salaries will now be automated to aid transparency and accountability. Civil servants can now with a single click access their salary details online and see any deductions.

To ensure transparency, government budget and transactions will now be published online for all Imolites to access. There's nothing to hide. HE wants all Imolites to be a partner in governance. I need not also remind you that the old system which paid consultants handsomely to collect taxes inefficiently in the state has been dismantled leading to an increase in the IGR of the state to the tune of N2b/monthly.

The benefits from dismantling the dubious system are seen in the numerous roads being constructed all around Imo state- new roads are being rehabilitated leading to an increase in commercial activities in these areas. Flooding has also been kicked out in Owerri. Health institutions are getting equipped. For once in a longtime there's progressive movement in Imo state. Everyone can testify

It's just 6 months but prosperity is already being shared to all. More will come

PoliticsHubris Of The Imo State Opposition by masterpiscles15(op): 8:00am On Jun 10, 2020
HUBRIS OF THE IMO STATE OPPOSITION

" _Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices"_

- Albert Einstein

Opposition politics is the conscience of democracy. It seeks to be the policy regulator and protector of the masses.Their job is to constantly keep government on its feet by evaluating government policies constructively and offering alternatives in policy directions. In some countries, the opposition have Shadow commissioners who understudy the policy directions of the government appointed commissioners and offer alternatives.

In Imo state the children of perfidy have taken over the opposition and have developed an incredulous attachment to infantile romanticism of falsehood - they lack both depth and the intellectual fecundity required to be an opposition. In the alternative, they churn out retrogressive creativity in the barbaric use of the media. Their new love is to author fake press releases and make criminal defaming statements which they do not Intend to prove. Their sole purpose is to malign and denigrate. They're far from value and do not aim to add value.

Despite this rising rate of social media hooliganism, His Excelleny, Hope Uzodinma acts in accordance to the advice of Rick Warren "Great leaders inspire. They maintain a hopeful attitude, even in the face of discouraging setbacks, constant criticism and abundant opposition. People don't follow discouraged leaders. They follow those who persist with hope" (pun not intended).

It's appalling that in this age where social media has become a huge source of income for technology savvy youths, the children of perfidy in Imo state are still trapped in polemics and vituperations and are obsessed with inanities. Everyday I pray for them, for they lack the capacity to think and are creatively impotent. Their only skill is in defamation. Of what value is a youth whose only skill is defamation?

Make no mistake, His Excellency Hope Uzodinma is eager to meet the real opposition in Imo state. He is desperate to have policy debate across board. He wants to see the alternative to the inland roads he is constructing across Owerri to ease transport and end the perennial flooding in the state capital. He anxiously waits for a robust alternative to his community policing idea. He wants to see the opposition's alternative to the digitization of salary payment of the state civil service and his overly focus on Agriculture and other economic initiatives of his. Whenever the opposition are ready, he will gladly meet them.

HE Hope Uzodinma is a man of tact and immense intelligence and is prepared to meet the real opposition in Imo state, not the children of perfidy who seek to destroy the reputation of the state by selling nuisance daily

Opposition is a serious business and the real opposition in Imo state need rise up to their duty unless they wish the children of perfidy cheapen it.

PoliticsIMO: THE DESTINATION IS A *SMART* CIVIL SERVICE - MAZI EJIMOFOR OPARA by masterpiscles15(op): 8:11am On Jun 09, 2020
THE DESTINATION IS A *SMART* CIVIL SERVICE

In couching the Rehabilitation component of the 3R mantra, Governor Hope Uzodimma envisioned a Civil Service where things are done differently. This explains his new obsession with dismantling atrophied systems deployed to inhibit collective progress to the benefit of a few pseudo professionals.

The first point in this journey towards rehabilitating and entrenching a SMART Imo State Civil Service is the automation of all financial processes including emoluments, salaries and pensions of workers. As old nefarious systems are wont to, the gatekeepers of the old order are working assiduously to scuttle progress and discredit effort. Fortunately, Governor Hope Uzodimma is not new to the dialectics of socioeconomic reforms, and is not bereft of the courage to lead his convictions.

Imo, as literate as the statistics show us, cannot be left at the crude base of bureaucratic evolution. To this end, it would be surprising to see people argue against a system that seeks to enhance efficiency in public service delivery. The State Civil service is benchmarking against global best practice. Imo is gearing up to the realities of the 4th industrial revolution whilst preparing for an imminent 5th industrial revolution. It is either we innovate or perish in obscurity.

A Smart Civil Service is not only result oriented, but data driven too. Data, as it were, has assumed a fluid form to improve accessibility for effective inter-ministerial, inter-agency exchanges. New skill sets have also emerged for effective book keeping and data management.

The ultimate goal is to establish a Civil service that is propitious, accountable and tech driven. A civil service that will incubate and deliver the *#ImoStateOfSharedProsperity* to all and sundry. This is the "Smart Civil Service". And the Ideal Bureaucrat is one who works to ensure the realization of this new, but functional system.

We hope our existing workforce does not dwell too long on the withdrawal symptoms of the old system. As it were, Imo is currently playing catch-up behind many States that have long undertaken this journey towards a SMART Civil Service.

Remember, Shared prosperity calls for shared responsibility.

PoliticsHerdsmen invasion: Gov. Uzodinma answers Archbishop Obinna's questions - Obiaku by masterpiscles15(op): 12:18pm On Jun 08, 2020
Herdsmen invasion: Gov. Uzodinma answers Archbishop Obinna's questions

By Lancelot Obiaku

Recently, the vocal Archbishop of the Owerri Catholic Ecclesiastical Province, the Most Rev. (Dr.) Anthony Obinna, expressed concerns over alleged invasion of communities in the Southeast by Fulani Herdsmen. The cleric had in an open letter to the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodinma, called on him and other Southeast leaders not to blink an eyelid over the security of lives and property in the region.

In his open letter, Archbishop Obinna admitted that he had spoken privately with Gov. Uzodinma but seemed not satisfied with the private discussion with the Governor. He chose to go public with the matter, notwithstanding his earlier meeting with the Governor. He said: “Not satisfied with defeating us in an uneven war, there is this threat to wipe out the Igbos and take over our God-given homes and lands. I hereby publicly charge him to recognise that it is his primary duty as the Chief Security Officer of the state to protect the lives of Imo people, their homes and their lands. Your Excellency, your voice should be loud and clear on this life and death issue”.

The Archbishop extended his call for the protection of lives and property in the Southeast to other governors and leaders in the region. “I equally charge other Igbo governors and all Igbo leaders at various levels to protect our people, our homes and our lands. I urge all our people to rise up in prayer to God, in vigilance and legitimate self-defence. The right to life, to our homes and our lands is God-given,” he stated.

Though the Archbishop’s outburst on the alleged increasing presence of Fulani Herdsmen in the Southeast remains unconfirmed, the threat posed by an invasion of the Southeast by any group cannot be dismissed with a wave of the hand. Recent experience shows that cattle rearing Fulanis have been associated with violent and lethal clashes with farmers in their host communities. Such fights had often resulted from the herdsmen irrationally gracing cattle on farmlands, leading to the destruction of crops and its attendant economic losses. Situations like this had contributed a great deal to insecurity in communities in Northern Nigeria in particular, and other parts of the country.

However, we may not have reason to lose sleep over the alleged invasion of the state by Fulani herders as Gov. Uzodinma has taken proactive measures to secure lives and property in Imo State. Over a week ago, the Governor allayed the fear over the rumoured herdsman invasion of Imo forests when he said that "the rumours going around that there are suspected Fulani herdsmen in various forests in our state who are ready to unleash terror on our people are all false. Imolites are urged to disregard it. We are urged to go about our normal businesses as the Government remains committed to the business of protecting the lives and properties of the citizenry."

Not resting on his oars or taking things for granted, the Governor demonstrated that he is not leaving anything to chance. On Friday, June 5, 2020, the Governor announced plans by his administration to establish community policing in the state. "Our Administration is working on a law to establish community policing to enable the Government and communities collaborate more on security issues," the Governor said. He added that "The bill will collapse some of the existing security outfits while harmonizing the viable ones to ensure a more holistic approach to tackling security issues in the State. This initiative will enhance intelligence gathering by the state."

We believe that the Governor was correct when he explained that the establishment of community policing in the state would, among other things, enhance intelligence gathering in various communities, and make efficient collaboration of the communities with the government on security issues possible.

The Southwest had recently established the legal framework for the establishment their own brand of community policing called Amotekun. We have seen the Amotekun launched in Osun and other states in the region. This proactive move in response to the mounting security threats in the area was warmly welcomed by the citizens of the affected states. And rightly so.

Consequently, we think that if properly set up, funded and managed, the proposed community policing in Imo State would boost security in the state. The idea could not have been birthed at a better time than now, considering the heightened tension over insecurity in Nigeria and Southeast in particular.

Given that individuals that would be saddled with policing Imo communities under the new security architecture are citizens of the state, the onus on them is greater, as they are not expected to compromise on the security of the communities in the state. Marching words with action, as in this instant case by the Governor, is a perfect and prompt response to the concerns raised over the safety of lives and property in the state, especially those expressed by the revered Archbishop Obinna.
