PoliticsRe: Tinubu Bow-Greeting Buhari (Picture): Slavery Or Respect? by mathskill: 9:40am On Aug 26, 2012
zalight: when president Obama prostrated for the Saudi king and the Japanese leader many Americans including some from his own political party spoke against his action fiercely and his action stare up a big political row and debate and since then he has never bow down for anyone again. In my opinion the op was right to bring up this issue. There is nothing wrong in showing respect for your elders when you are representing yourself but Tinubu is not representing himself,he is the leader of a political party and the Yoruba's,therefore boot licking a political party leader he plans merging with is not only politically wrong but a slap in the face to his followers. quote author=bittyend]Obama and Saudi King

If you are better than GEJ, why not get a nomination form and see if you can win your ward, not to mention winning election to be come President. Then may be, you can do better. Billyonaire: Firstly, I do not think OBJ will be stupid enough to make a move about 2015 this early, it will amount to "heating up the polity". Secondly, OBJ is also suffering a political down syndrome even in the PDP, and I hope he makes good use of hiis retirement for positive things and not to meddle into politics. It will be his final disgrace if he tried sh(i)t. Thirdly, Except Amaechi will be Presidential Candidate, the Northerners should stay away from Presidency of this country for another 40yrs if we are to have 24hrs electricity. We can not sacrifice the present gains in the Electricity sector to another daft mallam, no offenceee!!
Will there ever be a daft,im-becile,in-ept,m-oron,retard and in-valid like GEJ in Nigeria at all.Last time i checked he wasen't a MALLAM.

mitwitdot: it seems you are a boko haram sympathiser and a terrorist by proxy. how can you accuse the southerners? are we they ones that deprived them of sound education and developmenthuh they same leaders who improvised their lives over decades are they ones sponsoring them to kill thier self for Allah. whoever you are, I advise you to visit the core northern states and see the level of illiteracy and property. it is overwhelming! these are people that have produced past head of states for decades without any visible development. please their anger should be directed at thier past leaders for looting thier lives at least some are still walking around majestically among them and patting on thier backs to go and bomb for allah
If you cant read and comprehend better keep off the keyboard you half baked graduate. If you are so blinded by branding everybody BH and a terrorist that you cant understand what i write, then i deem it fit and proper not to reply the bigot that you are.

aribisala0: Funny but that was not the point of my post.I wonder why you latch on to that. Anyway thanks for clearing up your stand on division.

A confederation in Nigeria will lead eventually to break-up for one reason Islam

Again the reason it cannot divide peacefully is the North.Everyone else was ready a LONG time ago

Your point was about the one-sidedness of southern commentary which I responded to. It is true Southerners are biassed but why would they not be.THEY especially Igbos have been victims of Northern genocide. Or did you deliberately choose to ignore that bit. Was it not preceded by the dehumanizing narrative about them and does that not persist to this day. The only differnce is the Northerners are disadvantaged by their lack of control of the press but access to the internet social fora is open to all even though it would appear Northerners use it less.
My point is that you are biassed in bringing up the Rwanda scenario because some Northerners have done comparable things already in Nigeria.
You are being dishonest and deceitful.Name one U.N report that documented genocide in Nigeria. If their was no pearl harbour would their have been a Hiroshima and Nagasaki? The same with the uprising after the coup,if those igbo southern christian army majors had not killed in cold blood Northern muslim leaders there wouldn't have been any uprising against the igbos. Daily trust and leadership are a few northern newspapers in circulation show me one piece in this newspapers that abuse or dehumanize southerners.Quote one commentry on naira by a northerner that has dehumanized a southerner and i'll give you a hundred that southerners have against northerners.

aribisala0: What you write is true, partially. The whole truth is that MANY Northerners are guilty of the same. It is true that many Northerners do not think or act like that but again this is equally true for the South. What is clear is that we have in our nation peoples whose worldview is completely different and there is no way they can mix. It has NEVER happened anywhere in the world where you have a roughly equal population of Muslims/Christians live together peacefully in one Nation. What tends to happen is one group is a minority and is usually dominated. In Northern Nigeria there are many who will settle for nothing less than an Islamic state.Any form of compromise is seen merely as a ceasefire or temporary lull in hostilities. The most viable option is a form of confederation which is likely to lead to a split anyway. In short Nigeria cannot remain one under a democracy because for many in the South the declaration of Sharia in many Northern states will always be seen as a threat. The solution of removing all forms of sharia will be seen as a victory and breed resentment bringing us back to where we are now.
Nigeria has held together since the end of the civil war because of the military. Can you hold a country together by force for ever? The extraction of oil is done under military supervision. In short,EXTRACTION UNDER OCCUPATION by people that are as foreign to the locals as the British.
The underlying assumption in your write up is that we must continue to remain in the same country. WE must ask;
WHY?
and
FOR WHOSE BENEFIT ?
Remaining in the same country isn't my underlying assumption, you are wrong on that.On the contrary i personaly want this country divided but "peacefully",with the images i see from syria war isnt good.At the same time i point out that division wont solve the problems we are faced.A confederation will be more appropriate.Every entity will control his/her resources, set its educational, economic, social and security at its pace.
PoliticsRe: JTF Attacks: Genocide In Borno, Yobe - Elders Cry Out by mathskill: 10:14am On Aug 18, 2012
When JTF committed atrocities in Odi, southerner's were crying genocide by northerners in the army. When it suits the southerner,he accuses BH of infiltrating the army and other security agencies. That the JTF is using heavy handedness and killing innocent people in borno it is fine with them. They are infact encouraging the JTF to go on a killing spree.s evidenced the many write ups on this forum most southerners are celebrating the wanton destruction of life and property by the JTF.This attitude is not surprising though,as the northerner is systematically dehumanized in the southern psyche from their leader's be they political, religiouse, academic, business even Nollywood. The southern dominated press that is supposed to be an impartial arbiter serves as the agent of propagation. The rwandan massacre did not just happen overnight, the victims were overtime dehumanized, refering to them as cockroaches.Just as the southerner will refere to the northener as a cow, animal, devil, bloodsucker to justify his attack on him. This same attiitude characterized the group of 5 majors, all southern christians,in the execution of the first coup in Nigeria which culminated in the execution of Northern leaders.

Billyonaire: The thread remains that IBB and Buhari should condemn Boko Haram. I see no reason why Nigerians cry about the killings perpetrated by these terrorist elements and when IBB and Buhari is asked to Condemn the actions of the same Boko Haram, some mindless persons kick against it. Why would any sane person say this is a wrong statement, or is there a connection between Boko Haram, IBB and Buhari ? Your guess is as good as mine.
Beaf: I am not surprised at your language. You said this, bro:

Anyway, there's a topic to be attended to, lets see how you cope with making logical answers instead.

Billyonaire: Rebuttal is understandable, but outright insult when matters get too complex over your knowledge base annoys every sane mind. I will continue to warn you not to insult my person and that of an elected President. I have not called you rotten, why do you call me "rotten". Can you call your Dad, "rotten?"
You are now my dad, becoming delusional by the minute. You say i insult you and now you warn me,Ha what a complex character.Go see a shrink.

You are a very unhappy person and it shows in your emotional out pour. When next you want to respond to my post, please respond in English.
You make allegations,i refut them yet you say i insult you, blackmail, typical example of false accussation you make against buhari.Your life is what is rotten for voting GEJ based on sentiment.
PoliticsRe: Condemn Boko-Haram, Clark Dares IBB, Buhari by mathskill: 12:59pm On Aug 02, 2012
Billyonaire: You can criticize Mr. President, but do not try to insult his person. This is a warning. Freedom of Speech is constitutional and it has boundaries. I do not think I will like to respond to people who are sentimental about Governance. Buhari is a very emotional person and even during his military days, he led a coupe and overthrew an elected government. As Military head of state, the War Against Indiscipline was attributed to him, and I understand Tunde Idiagbon was the Fashola behind the success of that programme and not even Buhari. Buhari is not a nice guy, he addresses his supporters in Hausa most of the times, he did not care to campaign in the South-South during his last campaign cos he never considered us Nigerian enough or may be he thought our votes dont count. It was apparent he was going to lose. So he decided to say that he will make the country ungovernable. These are facts, recently he made a statement that the the Baboons and the monkeys will be soaked in blood. Are you the baboons and the monkeys ? What makes him call Nigerians baboons and monkeys. I am sorry for you if Buhari is your messiah. Because, Buhari is done and over with. Buhari can not even win an election in the middle belt, needless to say Niger-Delta. Please find another role model or you will find yourself on the wrong side of history.
Your ignorance is obviousely on show.Haven't you heared the saying "when the head is rotten so is the whole body" you think the war against indiscipline would have been effective if buhari as the head of state wasn't in support? So because buhari adresses his audience in hausa makes him bad,an audience that is made up of hausas of which you would like to call illiterate, which language to you want him to speak to his illiterate follower's? Marsian i guess!!!Now quote were buhari stated he will make Nigeria ungovernable,if can't quote any single news channel please keep qiute and stop listeining to rumours. In the case of the over-hyped baboon and dog saga. Please try and translate "it is raining cats and dogs" in your language and see how it sound,i'm definate it will be far from what the english man has in mind.If you are going to be sincere who do you think won the 2003 presidential election.
PoliticsRe: Condemn Boko-Haram, Clark Dares IBB, Buhari by mathskill: 12:12pm On Aug 02, 2012
Billyonaire: Whats decent about your myopic conversation? You tactfully insulted an elected President and praised Buhari, who has successfully made the country ungovernable as he publicly declared. Do not insult the person of the President again if you expect any respect from your siblings. Buhari can not be President of Nigeria till he dies, that is a guarantee, so you are actually supporting the wrong man. I advise you stay away from pro-boko elements or you will be on the wrong side of history. GEJ has global support and you are just a noisy opposition.
So an elected president cant be criticized, you come here with your a$$ licking, sycophancy attitude and start arguiying blindly,if not getting drunk and temporary handing the reigns of power to patience whenever he's in that state just tell what GEJ as an elected president has achieved. As for Buhari, you can only hate him, that's as far as it goes cos you cannot claim to hate or fight terrorists more that the U.S government yet Buhari was invited to Obama's inauguration.

Why did u choose to ignore other valid points about GEJ ineptitude,i take your silence as concurring. You claim you'v stopped insulting, well a zebra never changes its stripes.

PoliticsRe: Don’t crucify me for my son’s sins, says Bamanga Tukur. Quotes Bible by mathskill: 10:54pm On Jul 28, 2012
Beaf: You are right that Bamangar Tukur should have adviced his son, but how do you know he didn't? It is quite strange that his case escalated so far, maybe the boy is stubborn. Whatever it is, he is an adult who should answer for his sins.
Dragging his dad into the matter is as ridiculous as saying his dad should pay the refund if the boy is found guilty or even do the jail term instead if matters really get bad for the boy.

We Nigerians are fond of talking about some mythical "sane country," only to pull out fantastic allusions that have little bearing on the realities we witness from those "saner climes" day-in, day-out. No one is saying we do not need to improve our national moral scales, but some of us use that as a thinly veiled camouflage to aim at enemies, which is sad. In those "sane countries" nobody visits the sins of one adult on the other.
Here are some posers:

When Rudy Giuliani's daughter was caught shoplifting, the man did not resign.
Did Ronald Reagan resign after his daughter posed nu'de in playboy magazine during his presidential campaign? No, he went on and won the election.
Here she is (there are worse pics on the net, by the way) -

Did George Bush resign after his daughter pulled of her panties in public and gave the paparazzi an eyeful of her prized "jewels" only a few months into his presidency? shocked
No, he didn't.

It seems you are the mouth piece of every corrupt person in nigeria. You defend the undefendable and praise the unpraisable.Resignation is the honourable step to take for the PDP chairman because his son is involved in the subsidy oil scam amounting to billions of naira.
PoliticsRe: Don’t crucify me for my son’s sins, says Bamanga Tukur. Quotes Bible by mathskill: 4:20pm On Jul 28, 2012
In a sane country Bamanga Tukur will first of all resign his appointment as PDP chairmman and then counsel his son to return the ill gotten wealth back to government coffers.civil society groups will organize the boycot of products sold by his oil company to press home the point zero tolerance to corruption. As it is this is Nigeria, all the actors will go home unpunished, thier loot safely tucked away in foreign accounts,no one will be held accountable.
