1. A spiritually DEAD person cannot understand the bible in the right context

2. Reading the bible in your state will probably at some point madden you to the point of lunacy.

PointB i guess you must have noticed that the majority of respondant's to this thread are against the removal of fuel subsidy.without further arguemnt i believe majority carries the day.

If the american government and the EU the richest country and economic block the world has ever seen can subsidize a relevant part of their economy why should any one want to remove subsidy in a very relevant and strategic part of the nigerian economy with the attendant negative consequance on the average nigerian.Moreover when we know the reason why the gorventment spends much on fuel subsidy is because we import what we have.If all our refineries are up and running there will be no need to import fuel at exhorbitant international rate all we need to do is pump crude oil, refine and sale  at our desired  rate that will not hamper and disrupt our economic growth and social order.So for goodness sake the government should tackle the rot in the oil industry and make our refineries functioning again.

Those calling for the removal of fuel subsidy are simply disconnected from the day to day realities ordinary improvished nigerians are facing.It will make poor nigerians fall deeper into the abyss called poverty.They are struggling to feed,provide shelter,health and quality education for their families on the meagre earnings they get and yet some call for the removal of fuel subsidy without providing the neccessary infrastructure that  will absorb the shock of the increament i.e uninterrupted power supply so they wont buy fuel for gen sets,train services that will replace car's cause most wont be able to maintain cars at 10,000 to fill a tank,public schools that are well funded ,hospital's that have all the facilities etc.If the infrastructure above isn't provided and subsidy is removed the result would be the continuation of the cycle of poverty.So if what  alj-harem   says is true beaf pls tell mr president that he should pity the masses and not remove fuel subsidy.

I don't think such measures can prevent the naira from falling. Demand and supply will always prevail.

No one is suggesting dd and ss wont prevail but that dd will reduce since the oil companies would have had their dollar at hand which automatically translates into less pressure on the Naira.

And to even say the truth, the whole south are all endowed with one resources or the other. Agriculture, solid minerals, crude oil and human resources which is the topmost. And talking of oil, almost all the southern states are sitting on crude oil eg. Ondo, Abia, Imo, Anambra etc.

Buhari was the pioneering head of NNPC,was a federal commissioner for petroleum resources akin to minister now,led the PTF yet he doen't have a single petrol station ask Obasanjo and OANDO,an oil service company ask AATIKU and INTELS or an oil block ask general Danjuma.He doesnt sit on the board of any oil company own no share in any.He held positions of power from a GOC in the army,a gorvernor of the North East region to that of a head of state yet he does not have foreign bank account he couln't even build a house,the federal government built all his houses.
He is principled,has intergrity,honest and incorruptable unlike most of our leader's from Babangida to Abdussalam,Abacha to Obasanjo.
Detractors accuse him of instigating violence,seriously if he wasn't for peace and really was violent do they think the violence happening now will be restricted to just Borno and abuja.Buhari hater's can do just that out of tribal and religiouse sentiments nothing more.They say he is a bigot but forget to mention as head of state he reduced the number of muslim pilgrims going to the Hajj in other to reduce the pressure on the naira.  
The good thing is that if you don't value what you have others will.If he bad he wouldn't have the only Nigerian leader invited to attend Obama's inauguration and his invitation to speak at conferences only attests to his statesmanship.
