She's so nicely dressed.

Are you sure it's not her condition, the heat and dehydration that caused her to be dizzy ?

Let's not over sensationalize the economic hardship abeg!

The country's woes seem to have appeared all at the same time.

We are fighting for survival like the famed "Buffalo soldier" with the people we "elected" acting as our major opponents.
Politics / Re: Insecurity: Group Asks Gov Alia To Resign For Incompetence by matify83: 11:00pm On Mar 01
Hmmm!

It is curious that his own party men have turned against their own.

Imagine them calling the flyover under construction a white elephant project.

Benue state was created in 1976 but development wise it pales against states like Akwa Ibom, Nasarawa or even Gombe state. It is laughable that his party men will turn against him in so short a time despite his giant strides in road constructions all over the town and regular payments of pensions and salaries which previous administrations couldn't keep pace with.

It's becoming obvious to watchers that the travail of the governor may not be unconnected with his penchant for frugality and distaste for frivolous spendings which the typical Benue politician has be wired to see as normal.
Politics / Re: FX Crisis: MTN Reports N740 Billion Loss, Shareholder Funds Wiped Out by matify83: 10:47pm On Mar 01
Hmmm!

Doing business in Nigeria is harsh.

The cost of production is so volatile that effective planning is difficult if not impossible.

With the added increase in MPR to about 23%, the cost of borrowings to grow and expand businesses is prohibitive and may harbour the unintended consequences of massive job losses, reduced consumer spendings and a possible recession.

I doff my hat to the MSMEs still struggling to stay afloat despite the prevailing economic hardship.

Politics / Re: Insecurity: Matawalle Calls For Increase In Military Operations by matify83: 7:08pm On Mar 01
Saw a video where this miscreants overpowered a military detachment and set ablaze an MRAP that was abandoned by our fleeing troops.

Where they got such hubris is still bewildering.

I was just wondering if we will not adopt the drone war in our fight against these terrorists.

Sending men into their enclave is like sacrificing them from the get go.

Our military should be learning from the wars around the globe and not stick to some "yeye" regimented style of offensive and defensive manoeuvres.
Business / Re: CBN Revokes Operational Licenses Of 4,173 Bdcs by matify83: 7:01pm On Mar 01
Validated:
Nice job CBN.
Now increase the capital requirements for the rest to $1.0m. Anyone not able to afford such should merge of be absorbed into the few big ones.

It's already 500m for local and 2B for national BDCs.

Charlatans will be forced out of the business and anyone caught trading in dollars as if selling cooked maize will have himself to blame.

Good development !

Most of them were opened for round tripping purposes by politicians and DMBs.

The party is over for them.

With the kind of names some of the BDCs bore, you will know they were just fronts for fleecing the country and they found a criminal ally in emefiele.

That is a dead case.

Our northern tenants don't see anything wrong in what happened to Miss Samuel.

Revisiting that case will only infuriate them and draw their condemnation.

We don't operate the same legal process you know!
Crime / Re: Police Stray Bullet Kills Man Sending Money Via POS To Wife by matify83: 1:22pm On Mar 01
This is touchy!

Just imagine what this incompetent police we have just did to this man who could have been anyone of us.

Common sense should have told them that you don't shoot in residential areas especially in this case where there was not threat to the police.

This is what happens when illiterates with forged certificates and quota system populate an agency.

RIP to the struggling man!

Science/Technology / Re: My Solar Charge Controller Is Not Receiving Sunlight From Panels by matify83: 1:20pm On Mar 01
Switch the charge controller off and on again.
If it doesn't work, you may have to disconnect it from the battery and connect it back.

That should jumpstart the charge controller.

Happened to me a couple of times.

There was no need for confirmation.

Politics / Re: Gowon's War Statement Can Ignite Crisis – Igbo Leader Demands Apology by matify83: 10:19am On Mar 01
This statement by Gowon that is generating so much hullabaloo should be weighed in the context it was made.

It was in no way a spite on the igbo race or an attempt to denigrate them.

These reactions only shows that the healing process from the war is yet complete.
Politics / Re: "Cure your visible ignorance": INEC tells Nigerians abusing Yakubu by matify83: 10:11am On Mar 01
“As for those persons who embarked on what they described as a ‘a day of curses’, my advice is that they should pay adequate attention to substantive issues, make more productive use of their time, and cure themselves of their visible ignorance of the laws governing the electoral system and the commission’s processes and procedures".

This is insult on the injury Nigerians are passing through .

Politics / Re: Police Grills Federal Commissioner For Certificate Forgery: Fcc Commissioner Rep by matify83: 8:50pm On Feb 29
Why is certificate forgery so rampant these days?

Why claim an identity you don't hold requisite knowledge of?

Some of these offices don't even merit the bogus certificates some occupants parade for entry qualifications e.g the president where an SSCE certificate suffice.

Romance / Re: Hardship: How Some Ibadan Men Depend On Girlfriends For Breast Milk To Survive by matify83: 5:59pm On Feb 29
This is just for traffic !

They are trying to hogwash gullible Nigerians by insinuating that all women lactate irrespective of their state.

Lactation can only come about if a woman is breastfeeding ab initio.

Galactorrhea on the other hand is a medical condition where a non-pregnant or breastfeeding lady secretes milk from the breast.
These are the babes the story is saying Ibadan men roll with for sustainance.
Politics / Re: 9 Months Of Pain: Nigerians Never Smiled Since The Day Tinubu Assumed Office by matify83: 5:52pm On Feb 29
His jab at NLC showed him as far from being a Democrat.

Must it take an eternity for labour to protest his damaging economic policies since 9 months is not enough time to assess an administration?

When he leveraged on organized labour to stage a rally against GEJ for removing subsidy, labour then had no political proclivity abi?

I'm ashamed of his thought train in this matter.
