ovieigho: Ozempic is not FDA-approved for treating weight loss. However, Wegovy, a medication that contains higher amounts of semaglutide than Ozempic, is FDA-approved for chronic weight management in individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 and higher or 27 and higher in individuals with a weight-related health condition |

Matheusmartin: Don't mind them. They are using dieting and exercise to deceive the gullible. They are mostly on Wegovy and Ozempic, the Semaglutide originally for management of Type 2 diabetes but found to be very effective in drastic weight loss with little side effects. Our popular talk host billionaire - Oprah Winfield and the richest man on earth "Oga" Musk are rumoured to be on it. One of the Kardashians is also on Ozempic. 1 Like

Invariably, it is the other bands (B to E) that have been impacted negatively by the unending power rationing and blackouts as emphasis has been shifted to providing Band A feeders with sufficient power to avoid downgrading and loss of revenue. This is one of many unintended consequences of the tariff dichotomy that was either not envisaged ab initio or stealthily hidden in plain sight from consumers until it dawned on us that we just had a hair cut in absentia. 68 Likes 3 Shares |

Like our typical "fire brigade" attitude to things generally, I believe notice was given to the occupants of the building but our characteristic lackadaisical posture made him delay until "Babylon" came calling. He should have moved his things into storage a long time ago while he sought out his housing predicament. For this to be happening the second time only shows who he is. "Motherland, na our area"... Science/Technology / Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by matify83: 4:55pm On Apr 22 |
diamond68: You are confusing the post here. Firstly, your system is grid charged and not solely charged using solar power. Secondly,150KW solar panel = 1500W panel as a single panel does not exist as I know it. Thirdly, let's agree that you meant 150W solar panel. This will have maximum generated current of 8A as Isc (short circuit current) . Your 200Ah battery requires a charging current of at least 10% of its rating, i.e 20A to be charged effectively and efficiently. If not for your grid charging, your battery would have been long dead from undercharging. We don't play TRICKS here 1 Like |

micxwell: A 100Ah battery should be your basic minimum. Even if you intend using it mostly during the day, it still doesn't negate the fact that the battery must be fully charged each day after use. I will advocate you get a 30A mppt charger but scalability will be difficult beyond a certain threshold in future.

GerogeI: I give it to you sir. Never knew the 60A PWM can carry such power on a 12v battery until someone posted its specs for me. However, lts still difficult simultaneously drawing power from the battery and having it charged using the PWM system unlike with an mppt that can generate a charging current as high as 59A for a similar 60A charger. The inefficiency of a pwm is responsible for most disgruntled solar energy users in Nigeria. Thanks for your valid contribution. 1 Like |

amicdan: Thanks for the picture on the power requirement specifications for various battery connection. Must admit I'm ignorant of the workings of the pwm save for the theory behind it. I am however curious that a 12v can carry as much as 780W on this PWM charger. Hope these Chinese guys won't end up burning down someone's property? Like I alluded in an earlier post, it's the inefficiency of the pwm that stops must home going up in flames. Very grateful for sharing. |

uvie66: Sorry for replying late. Work calls!! If you are sourcing the components yourself without middle men, you might just be able to set up something worthwhile with 600k. I always advise you start off with an 80A to 120A mppt solar charge controller. If you ever need to scale up your battery bank or increase the numbers of your panels, the charge controller will not be a limiting factor. The inverter will most definitely depend on the load you want to power. The rule of thumb is to add 1000w to the largest single load in your home. E. G. If your pressing iron is 1200w, then you are better off with a 2.5kva inverter since you won't want to switch other gadgets off while ironing. I hope I have done justice to your enquiry? |
Science/Technology / Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by matify83: 4:01pm On Apr 22 |
Donald7610: I'm not disputing that 7A will not charge a 100ah battery, the crust of the matter is that it will take days to achieve a 14.4v bulk charge and the battery may never get to float especially on a pwm charger. A battery requires a current 10 - 20% of it's rated Ampere hours to be fully charged and on a pwm with it's inefficiency, you can't use it while charging simultaneously. |

GerogeI: Interesting! A PMW because of it's low efficiency will invariably reduce every voltage to about 12V averagely. So, 12 X 48A = 576W. The only thing saving this charge controller going up in flames is that it can never attain its maximum power generation. 576W is too much power to connect on the 12v system. The rating for a 60w PWM at 12V should be around 360W or less. You are tempting fate. |

Science/Technology / Re: I Have 350k, Can I Install A Single Solar Panel For My Appliances? by matify83: 10:44pm On Apr 20 |
McLizbae: You may just be the one edging op to self destruction. I'm perplexed that you can say what you just typed. A PWM charge controller does not have the efficiency of converting excess voltage to charging current like an mppt does. PWM charge controllers are very poor in charging when devices are used simultaneously unlike mppt chargers. Also, for the specification @op is requesting for, increasing the voltage or numbers of the panel is a wasted effort because the pwm will reduce it to match the battery voltage and waste the excess hence it's low efficiency. For op to even use 2-3 panels for a 12v battery on a pwm, they must be connected in parallel to boast current and keep voltage at the level of a single panel or else the pwm will go up in smoke. With all these considerations, if you still wish @op to go ahead with the obvious "white elephant" project, I wish him safe trip. I'm totally off grid for 6 years now and I know what's at play here. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Mordecai: Hmmm! This is going to be a recipe for disaster. One 250w solar panel at Isc of about 7A on a PWM charge controller will never take that battery to a full Bulk charge of 14.4V. My guy will definitely have issues in less than 3 months after installation because the battery will sulphate from undercharging. I will advise op get more funds and set-up something that will be worth the effort. An MPPT charge controller will be most appropriate because of its efficiency. He will need about 2-3 additional panels for faster charging. My guy, just invest the 350k and do a good job later. You are not ready yet 122 Likes 8 Shares |
