Why don't we ever learn from the infernos that greets every scooping of fuel from fallen tankers? Thanks to the police for sparing us of another high toll fire incidence this festive season. |
ERockson:You just echoed my thoughts. 1- why recruite non indigenous people to protect another's forest ? 2- Why licence high calibre weapons for them when states security outfits are not accorded similar capabilities? 3- What is special about Kwara State that we have never heard of this kangaroo hybrid arrangements in Benue, Plateau, or southern Kaduna States and areaa. This excuse is a ploy to cover up their nefarious plot against the people of Nigeria This just proves that the government has been orchestrating this whole insecurity mess all along. |
obeegee:There is a parlance in the military that answers your question: "Appointment pass rank" You accord respect to the position than the rank if the position outweighs the rank. |
The book titled: From soldier to stateman is a misnomer. Going by the excerpts being churned out from the book on the daily, the correct caption for that book should have been: Buhari: How not to run a country. (A lesson in history) |
BondRiv:Mention one politician who's not using public funds for his political escapades. All the noise wike is making comes from Rivers state funds siphoned to personal chest. Even Asiwaju himself was drawing from Lagos to prosecute his presidency as if it was his personal ATM Let's not be naive or be politically correct, the fight up there is dirty and only those willing to get dirty can survive. I'm not a politician and my scruples will not allow me thrive in that field. I won't begrudge anyone who plays politics the way others are playing it because that may just be the covert rule of the game. If you have not read those 2 books, do your future self some good. The end justifies the means my brother. |
Shrinkflation in action! The economic reality is bitting hard and the only way to stay afloat is to reduce the quality or sizes of most products in manufacturing companies. The regulators like NAFDAC do not help matters also. |
Didn't know that the Nordic countries were this promiscuous . Just maybe the cold makes them cuddle together a lot and from there the inevitable happens. |
Elon exponentially inching towards a trillionaire status . I don't see Elon getting displaced soon except he messes with a political heavy weight like Trump and his enterprise comes tumbling down. |
Nigeria does not need foreign assistance in dealing decisively with these jihadist and terrorists with the vast arrays of armaments in our inventory. Collision, internal sabotage and compromise has render our military a paper tiger. This travel restriction may become a targeted travel ban for government officials pretty soon. |
There's ample provisions in the Constitution for the removal of the president though strenuous but possible with a free minded national assembly. With this Tinubu and Akpabio tag team, it's practically impossible. |
A house divided against itself can never stand. |
600B warchest and he's still subservient to wicked wike? That's enough money to buy out the RSHA and the PDP. Fubara needs to read the 48 laws of Power by Robert Greene and the art of war by Sun Tzu |
We ourselves undermine our faith with callousness and frivolities. Her head would be dangling on a pole by now if she tries this stunt with the other "peaceful" sect. |
The incidents of pop collapse is becoming alarming and worrisome. Poor craftsmanship is always implicated as the cause in most pop collapses. Thank God for providence |
How are the mighty fallen Malami will never recover from this by the time he's properly dealt with if the president stays another 5 years at the helms of affairs. |
I can see most landlords frowning at this law as it has empowered tenants and checkmated the excesses of landlords. With the provision of accelerated hearing of cases in court, this is a nice development. |
Now that Trump's attention has shifted to Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico, the Futajalon miscreants are back on the beat with our military in a state of inertia as usual. Genocide is not the number but the intent to systematically wipe out a people. This is genocide! |
Looks tough! How I wish the president tries her out as IG of police since he's known for taking tough and bold decisions. But for the quick intervention of the minister of defence and the COAS, Na a whole brigadier general for stand as ADC for him back today. |
brain54:But why do females lump promise and sex in the same breath when it comes to failed proposals? This case of ogala followed the same script and several others in the past and more to come in future. |
saphiere:The latter scenario has to do with consent between 2 adults. Since the court cannot prove that the man enjoyed the conjugal act more than the lady, then there is nothing binding them even if a promise was made as long as rape is not on the table. The courts cannot force an association Why do women claim being used in matters of sex? A man can equally claim same since he's the one doing the "heavy lifting" |
There is freedom of association and dissociation. Relationship is not a cult Even Omotosho will have a hard time adjudicating in favour of the plaintiff |
OneCandleAway:Totally agree Hoping her conviction and repentance is from deep within and not a ploy to curry advantage in her future endeavors. Humans can be cunning and manipulative. Using the house of God to actualize such ambition doesn't scar them at all. |
The inevitable end to every career however spectacular. He's joined the leagues of the Okochas, Kanus' , Finidis, and Amo14. Enjoy your much deserved and entitled Retirement! |
Tgini:That is why the world is gradually transitioning to EV. Besides, your deforestation is depriving the environment of Carbon dioxide sink by the trees, increasing desertification and degrading the Fauna. Your position on other carbon generating human activities does not negate the serious impact that the charcoal industry has on our environment. I understand that money must be made but the cost is what countries like Iran is experiencing today. My carbon footprint is very small if I must confess except for my car. I'm totally off grid, I have 9 mango trees in my backyard with plans for more. I compost waste as to burning for use in my plantain farm. I'm an environmentalist. |
Mr Farouk Ahmed should also tell us whose interest he has been championing while claiming that Dangote fuel is substandard and has high sulphur content without having it analysed in a lab while America , Saudi Arabia and a host of other nations scramble to place order for the same products. In my location, we have 3 fuel stations around each other, you should see the daily queue around Ardova, the only station dispensing Dangote petrol while the others are scanty or almost empty I have also noticed that the burn rate with Dangote fuel is slower and my car engine runs smoother compare to the imported fuel |

Glad to know you are into the export of a named commodity. All I wanted the report to highlight was diversification from petroleum products and where our export weight lies. It will make no economic sense for us to continue exports of raw materials without value addition. For example: here is a statistics I just got on the surge in Port activity in 2024/25 detailing improvement Total container traffic climbed by 18.9 per cent to 546,931 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) in Q3 2025, compared with 460,038 TEUs in Q3 2024. Within this, import-laden containers rose by 33.1 per cent to 268,713 TEUs, from 201,839 TEUs a year earlier, while export-laden containers surged to 69,039 TEUs, from just 5,812 TEUs in the same period of 2024. Concerning your charcoal export, I hope you are aware of the environmental impact that your business poses to our climate on the long run? |
Damage control! Why did he not own up when the news initially broke but waited until the principal actors started spilling their involvements. You have also failed to explain why he bought rustled cattles from these terrorists at discounted rates, built houses for them and even provided criminals with 4x4 vehicles. May God help Nigeria! |
Hehhh ! Nigeria! This NSA seems to have his name called in every thing evil bedevilling the country. While the subnationals can not arm their security outfits with high velocity weapons, here we have an NSA allegedly handing high grade weapons and vehicles to his kith and kins. Some occurrences in this country is just beyond human compression! |
That young man is courting disaster and a future life of regret. 2 young men have been unalived by teenage girls this week on Nairaland news because they dabbled with immature women like the one putting pressure on him. This is a red flag! |
Hard work has never made anyone rich. Relocation will only amplify the same hard work you are trying to exit and may be counter productive in the end. Have an unassailable knowledge of your business, have connections and contacts in your industry and allow time and chance to do the heavy lifting. |
Detty December don cast for these ones. Better to celebrate with freedom than be incarcerated with watery beans. Wealth without enterprise is not rewarding or fulfilling |
Nobody asked him for his CV He's refused to address how his emoluments can cater for the humongous amount spent on his children's schooling which dwarfs every kobo he will ever earn as a federal civil servant of 30 years standing. His claims of family contributions and father's business is hogwash and balderdash which can not withstand rigorous scrutiny. He keeps talking about fuel quality when his agency doesn't have a lab! |
