Good Afternoon Everyone.
My brother is looking to apply to Nord University for a BSC program. He started a Bsc. Program in Nigeria but doesn't mind starting all over in Norway. I just read something in the earlier pages that Norway does not issue study permit for BSc. Programs. Please guys, is that the case? Grateful for your response.

This is no doubt another unwarranted expenses and another opportunity to milk people by various parties involved in the process.
Well, just let's not be discouraged. We'll all make it by God's grace.
Spent the better part of my day reading up people's experiences with both WES and IQAS. More favorable reports for WES, not so much for IQAS.

But for the turn around time, IQAS would have been a better choice at this time. Well, all roads lead to jibowu.

[quote author=JustinTrudeau post=69906137]The congratulatory message is not complete without the PM's message.

Newmum, a friend once said to me that the day you get your PPR,the thread will be on lockdown with outpouring of messages. You are a celebrity, trust me,if you don't see yourself as one, start seeing yourself as one as from today, the PM said so. Even offline folks are celebrating you.It can only be Newmum, the only individual that can help the PM with his JD and NOC.

And so, on behalf of my Cabinet members,Elfs,GlisteringStar,Thebabythat is Happy,Ottawasenators and lots more we hereby declare 3 days holiday to celebrate Newmums PPR.If you have any questions regarding WES confirmation,CRS scores,IELTS and more ..pls call Inspector Moshood, guy seems to be jack of all trade now cheesy.Just direct your questions to him, don't come and disturb us here grin

Congratulations @newmum, may you and your family reap the good fruits of canny land. Go forth and prosper.

Try to find out why you are having low scores; Are you loosing concentration halfway? are certain sections giving you problems? Is it your spelling? Do you have issues understanding the accent of the speakers?

Try to narrow down where the problem is coming from and then we can help you tackle it.
Thanks alot Ethelia. Thinking about it now, I think it's concentration for the most part. I find that I also have a problem with the 'matching words' section.

The two materials you are using are good.
You should check your spellings too. Even if you hear all the conversation, writing a wrong spelling of a word will make you loose marks.
The greatest tool for listening practice according to me is to concentrate 100%. .
Thanks alot for the feedback. I appreciate it.

TEECANN:
I think you are on the right route.

Keep at it...that's the trick...consistency of practice, soon you'll get a grip of it and your practice score will come up on the average. Just be focused and keep keeping at it daily.

During my time, I did 2/3 hours everyday after close of work (I stay back in the office, everywhere quiet and my earphones on) for almost a month. With time, nobody will tell you, you will know that you are getting a hang of the "ish"...also, your weak areas will increasingly become evident to you as you practice different types of questions and you'll need to devise your own strategy to address those weak areas in time for the test (Cos you can't get ready 100% overall- ie be test ready and gotten all weak areas eliminated), if you feel ready 80-90%, then you are good to go!

By the way (BTW), how long have you been doing your daily dose of Listening practices? I'll suggest you keep at it for a while though! (Listening was my headache too, so I can understand your plight grin grin, but God did it with dint of focus and hardwork)

It will all end in praise IJN!
Thank you so much for your feedback.

I have been at it for almost a month now. Not daily, I must admit. I will adopt your model and practice more after work. Thank you for the kind words. It's uplifting.

Hello house. Am currently studying for IELTS. I try to practice at least 2 listening tests daily (I use ieltsonlinetests.com and Cambridge IELTS 12).
Am getting very concerned now. Never gotten up to a 36 (am always within the 28-32 band), in all my practice. How did you all do it?

Pls what could I be doing wrong. Can anyone point me to a good study material, so I can improve. Kindly assist. Thanks in advance.

Have your sorted this out? I think 4112 fits. My reference letter(NOC 4112) did not have a long JD. It simply stated that her duties include advising the organization on legal matters, drafting and reviewing of contracts and other documents and giving of legal opinions. On my GCMS notes, the case analyst wrote letter appears to confirm employment and provides a job description that is consistent with the lead statement and main duties as set out in the declared NOC category
Thank you so much Claire, I appreciate the response. I will go with NOC4112. I sent you a pm, if you don't mind.

Good morning house. Am no where near the pool yet, but just gathering up information as I await my ECA. Am an in-house lawyer and my job role is largely; ensuring regulatory compliance within the organization, legal advisory services to all the u its of the organization, protect the company against avoidable legal suits, represent the company in legal proceedings , company secretarial duties, contract drafting and reviews.

I don't quite think these job descriptions fit within NOC 4112 (Lawyers and Quebe Notaries) ditto for NOC 0114. I know they say we can combine two NOCs in one job reference. Do I combine both of these NOCs for this purpose? Elders of the thread, kindly assist with your wealth of experience, please. Thanks alot.

Which one you dey? Do you have LLM? If you have only LLB, use IQAS and provide them with acceptable means of identification.. In short, read page 0.
Thank you. Yes I have an LLM and I now know that I will need my Intl passport. I also will be using WES since I have an LLM. I have read part 1 & 2 of this thread oh. Apologies if I asked questions already treated in the earlier threads.

Why IQAS when you want to include the LLM? Use WES Jor..no passport, no DL but yes verification.
Yes, pls. I want to include my LLM. Thought IQAS was preferable for law degree. Thank you for the feedback.

Oh really? I read in Part 2 or so, that for law degree, (LLB & LLM), it is advisable to use IQAS... Something about IQAS evaluating the law dere as a professional course or so.

I will go with Wes, then. Am grateful for your response. Thank you Sir/Ma.

Good morning house. Am so grateful for this platform. Thank you to each and every one of you who spare time to drop invaluable info on this forum.God bless u. PPR at last! I have just collectef my LLM result, and now want to use IQAS to evaluate the LLB & LLM. I haven't seen anyone who used National Drivers'license as a means of identity. I am awaiting my Int passport and just thought to ask if it's okay to use the NDL.
