BAT himself last year said petrol subsidy was 'gone'. NNPC's Mele Kyari and minister of state Heineken Lokpobiri have also said the same thing several times over the past 14 months. If you say the Nigerian government is still subsidizing petrol then it means you are calling your idol (BAT) a liar.

So who is lying - you or BAT?

If fuel is over #2000 there that means govt is still subsidizing our fuel but Obidients will disagree. To them Tinubu is the most wicked politician. Meanwhile snuggling will not stop until fuel sells for same #2000 in Nigeria but we are used to free things.

To the issues of policy again you don't know the situation of things. All govts since 1999 knew removal of subsidy, floating of currency and lg autonomy are the right things to do. They just didn't have the courage to bell the cat. Those issues are the best in the countrys long term interest. No great policy anywhere in the world that does not come at a cost. Even China had so many hardship when they were devaluing their currency but today they are prosperous. Aren't you ashamed of Nigerias progress after 60 years of independence what have we achieved?
