saintkenny: I have my conspiracy theories too though. Like @Protein0 and @Noobody being one and the same person
But validating these seemingly bogus claims don't pay my salary Kinda agree with your theory Protein0 is not always active on nairaland, Noobody is; which now makes Noobody the main account and Protein0 the additional account. Both "sellers" claim to offer cheap $$$ rates whereas only noobody post adverts most times. It seems to me that Protein0 is just an emergency account to post adverts or continue business just incase an anti-spam bot bans Noobody. Both have gained enough credibility from people, so no issue of trust; just pure business smartness Investigation is still on going and we will update you guys with any update we have... dahgifted: Please i want to order a phone from Aliexpress and i want to make some enquires from those that have shopped with them These are my enquiries below
* after ordering a goods and payed shiping fee am i going to pay any other fee * which shipping platform is cheap fast and reliable * will i have the goods delivered at my doorstep or am i to pick it up somewhere * if i order different goods from different seller at once will i pay different shipping fees and will the goods arrive at once Please permit my writing blunders and am awaiting ir swift response.. *You are more likely to pay NIPOST handling fee when your order finally arrived or at worst, CUSTOM fee(if they ever seize your goods) * Aliexpress Standard Shipping or Hongkong Post is still the best unless you want to spend more to get goods fast by using DHL or EMS. But be aware that you are more likely to pay custom fee if you see DHL as your carier "Your post office will call you once it arrives, they won't deliver to your doorstep *Different gods different shipping regardless of the seller |

Eeechenmeelee1: I didn't say you're a newbie o, I just gave an example of a common mistake many newbies make where they don't investigate a Xiaomi phone's global availability before purchasing. You also didn't answer my question, don't you honestly think the UI differences between MIUI apps n Google play store apps are annoying? Anyways as I have said before, Android One is mid-range android as Google intended after starting their Pixel line n the Mi A series is the best of both worlds (Google plus Xiaomi combo) mid-range series IMHO No worries champ.... Everyone entitled to their own choices MIUI , Stock Android all have their pros and cons.. It's left for the users to decide which best suits them |

What can I do?
Just pay or leave it there and open dispute on Aliexpress? Dispute will not solve anything... When it's not as if you didn't receive the product The problem is between you and your country, that one no concern aliexpress You will need to pay them |

Eeechenmeelee1: Boring as how? You like the annoying UI difference when ever you jump between MIUI apps n play store apps? Biko I value my peace of mind, newbies assume that because a Xiaomi phone is available on AliExpress then it must have official rom, only to find out later it's shop rom. Abeg peace of mind with boring Mi A series>>>>>>>>> anything below other Mi series(me being generous) So am a newbie because of my own personal choice? This really shows you are even the newbie here 'cause if you are not, you will know that chances of you getting a shop ROM installed for you is if there is no global version of the phone produced officially from Xiaomi.... And Xiaomi doesn't market those phones outside China. I only know of three phones without global version; Mi Mix 3, Mi 6x, Redmi 6 pro So if you end up buying a phone with a shop ROM , that means you didn't do your research well thus making you the 'newbie' |

Eeechenmeelee1: Shop rom this .... Market rom that you see why Mi A series make sense, from day one you get best software standard of Google with one of the best hardware on a unbelievable budget It's a matter of choice bros.... Me personally, I don't like stock Android; looks boring somehow |

helinues: Facebook been deceiving since 18ad.
Only 25% of posts are displayed to fans. Expecting you to promote to get more engangement. For some months now, I don't think its up to 15%.
Getting 2,000 organic likes on Facebook will take close to 1 year.
Facebook killing young talent ideas Which will now force you to run a paid ad with them to get more engagements.... It's just pure business tactics |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Maxcoded: 9:56am On Dec 19, 2018 |
Ifedith: What about this? Anything different from 954_GENPACK or something related is a shop ROM.. Some original ROM do have 650_GENPACK also So if you are seeing anything completely different from the above, its a shop ROM. It's what I have personally seen everywhere; others can share their experience if they have something different |

Toscoas2: pls how do we differentiate between shop Rom and original. tanx Go to about phone from settings, check the baseband version; if it starts with .TA, it's a Shop Rom. But if it starts with 954GEN_PACK or something related, you are using the original Rom |

Ifedith: Says who... U know how many phones i don return, here's one secret, worst u get on jumia is chinese rom, never vendor rom. And if they bring Chinese version , to return sef no hard as long as it's within 7 days. I'm talking too much, 070three1080two87, I'm always available. You may be right... But there was a time around October when I was researching so hard on this same Redmi 6 pro so I can buy. I saw one on Jumia and when I viewed the description, it says and I quote "Not Support OTA Update" .... The same English Chinese sellers on Aliexpress used I backed out straight away The description sef na copy and paste from Aliexpress because everything was just "Jampacked" together with no editing at all; even to the pictures. Bottom line is; DON'T BUY A REDMI 6 PRO OR MI 6X FROM JUMIA if you don't want stories that touch later... You are safe with other Xiaomi products being sold there Shalom |
