Protein0 is not always active on nairaland, Noobody is; which now makes Noobody the main account and Protein0 the additional account. Both "sellers" claim to offer cheap $$$ rates whereas only noobody post adverts most times.

It seems to me that Protein0 is just an emergency account to post adverts or continue business just incase an anti-spam bot bans Noobody. Both have gained enough credibility from people, so no issue of trust; just pure business smartness

Investigation is still on going and we will update you guys with any update we have...

You also didn't answer my question, don't you honestly think the UI differences between MIUI apps n Google play store apps are annoying? Anyways as I have said before, Android One is mid-range android as Google intended after starting their Pixel line n the Mi A series is the best of both worlds (Google plus Xiaomi combo) mid-range series IMHO

This really shows you are even the newbie here 'cause if you are not, you will know that chances of you getting a shop ROM installed for you is if there is no global version of the phone produced officially from Xiaomi.... And Xiaomi doesn't market those phones outside China. I only know of three phones without global version; Mi Mix 3, Mi 6x, Redmi 6 pro

So if you end up buying a phone with a shop ROM , that means you didn't do your research well thus making you the 'newbie'

So if you are seeing anything completely different from the above, its a shop ROM. It's what I have personally seen everywhere; others can share their experience if they have something different

Go to about phone from settings, check the baseband version; if it starts with .TA, it's a Shop Rom. But if it starts with 954GEN_PACK or something related, you are using the original Rom

my redmi note 5 from jumia was the official global version n i've been updating without issues but at the same time i've seen mi 8 on jumia express with shop(at least the seller stated it there himself).my biggest fear with jumia is what if the seller doesnt clarify whether its shop or official rom n there's no way to communicate with them to confirm b4 purchase

You may be right... But there was a time around October when I was researching so hard on this same Redmi 6 pro so I can buy. I saw one on Jumia and when I viewed the description, it says and I quote "Not Support OTA Update" .... The same English Chinese sellers on Aliexpress used

The description sef na copy and paste from Aliexpress because everything was just "Jampacked" together with no editing at all; even to the pictures.

Bottom line is; DON'T BUY A REDMI 6 PRO OR MI 6X FROM JUMIA if you don't want stories that touch later... You are safe with other Xiaomi products being sold there
