I just came back from the market where I got drenched with rain water,feeling cold I decided to boil water with the electric kettle to have my bath.i was 38 wks preggy then.sometime later I went to check if it was working(one of the Chinko kettles we got as wedding gift wey no get indicator),with my wet bare hands I placed it on the metal body and bam! my hand got stuck.I tried using the 2nd hand,brethren ,I started going backwards shouting with no one to help.
this 5 litr kettle filled with water got suspended in my hands like it was empty,fortunately as I was going backwards the wire got disconnected from the socket and the current broken,immediately the kettle fell off my palms.
Till today I don't touch any electrical equipment without switching off the socket,even phone xharger.I couldnt imagine what could have happened.God I thank you.

Those of us that have it before, are we doing it again?

9 years old, the electrician told me not to touch that exact red wire as he left searching for a black tape, then I was like "what will happen"
The rest was history.. He new something was wrong when "me " the stubborn child seems so gentle all through his stay.

15years,
I went to my uncles place and brought out this pressing iron packed in a box not to be used.. I pluggd this iron and used my hand as a thermometer to feel how hot the element was... Jesus.. It was as if the earth stood still. I saw my self on the bed gentle..

Some years back..
I was trying to fix a faulty extension box. Truth be told, that thing deceived me as it worked before the power went off, the power was restored and I tried it again but hell No, I opened it up and notice the wires I joined had loosing up. Forgetting there was a current innit, I used my hand to join the wires without switching it off from the source.. I saw my self in the mid air and half of my body landed on the bed while the rest On the ground.. Yes I was gentle through out the day.

Based on my profession, with some levels of experience, it has been confirmed that so many people have some levels of respect for electrical experts, due to the way they carried out their works,
Some people derived fear in electricity, probably due to some past experience they must have had through it.
Though, I've also experienced some minor electric shock while on duty, and thats normal to my profession.
The question is: Have you once experienced an electric shock?
