Technology Market / Breaking News: Etisalat Becomes "9mobile" by mayorkun(m): 7:08pm On Jul 13, 2017
This comes after the company’s largest shareholder, emirates Telecommunications Corporation, directed Etisalat Nigeria to stop using its brand name within the next three weeks, after terminating management agreement with its Nigerian arm.

Etisalat, which controls 13 per cent market share in Nigeria, has had a running battle with a consortium of 13 banks since March, after it notified them of its inability to service its 1.2 billion dollar debt in February due to the foreign exchange challenges in the country.

In the meantime, Etisalat Nigeria has however, assured Nigerians that its operations are ongoing without any hindrance

Webmasters / 7 Applications Every Blogger Should Have by mayorkun(m): 10:37am On Jun 23, 2017
For every blogger who thinks writing and publishing posts are the only things you need to do, then you will have to read your post yourself. After writing and publishing your post, you've just started your job. You have to get those words of yours to reader out there, unless you want to spend a million dollar boosting those posts on Facebook and other social media.

These posts of yours are to be distributed to various social media platforms like Facebook, twitter, stumbleupon, and it will be a lot of time if you're doing so your self instead of using automations mentioned below :

1.

is a very useful app when it comes to social media automation. In you can add 2 URLs to automatically share your posts to Facebook and Twitter only for free users, and for premium users you can add unlimited feed and social media.
2. Buffer
Buffer offers a very unique quality, you can schedule your post to share on any social media. You can share and schedule posts to Facebook and twitter and other social media platforms you want.
3. IFTTT
IFTTT stands for If Then Then That.

This is a very useful tool for bloggers. In this app you can customise how you want your posts to serve. For example you can automate it that If there is any post to blogger Then post to facebook ,twitter, reddit, and other interesting platforms. If you are the type that have so many social media acconts, this app is absolutely for you.
4.
is the official Google's URL shortner, you can check clicks, page views , audience of your shortened urls . You even get to check countries which your clicks and impressions are coming from.

5. Blogger App
Blogger App allows you to posts articles from app to your site directly from an app. You can add audio file, pictures, videos and even links to your blog post when using this application. The only shortcoming I see in this app is you don't get to add HTML codes from the app which is a very bad thing, though I have not seen any blogger apps that let's you put HTML codes in your blog posts directly from an app (bloggeroid doesn't work ). But apart from the HTML part ,this app is the best for publishing posts from your mobile devices.
6. Stumbleupon
Stumbleupon is another social media platform where you can share your posts. The reason I'm adding stumbleupon to the app every blogger must have is because stumble upon is just so good with traffic. If you're looking for huge traffic to your site, stumbleupon is a place to get one.
Its not magic, you just share your posts to stumbleupon and you'll get people to click your site surely. But there is a good news and a bad news, the good news first, if you are lucky and your post are quality you can get featured on stumbleupon, I got lucky one day and for just one post I saw 50k traffic from stumbleupon in just 24hrs, but the bad news is you can't share shorted links or ..com domains to stumbleupon, you only get to share a TLD the means a .COM .NET and others and not . or ..com .

7. Adsense App
Its so boring and risky for you to login on your device to check you AdSense earnings, you can simply download the AdSense app and check your earnings, real time page views and impressions stats are also available in the AdSense app.

If you have and you use these apps I have mentioned above, I'm sure you're doing a soft work by blogging cause these apps makes them more easier and fun. Happy blogging mate

Phones / Top Ten Smartphone Device This Year So Far by mayorkun(m): 11:18am On Jun 20, 2017
TOP TEN SMARTPHONES THIS YEAR SO FAR

Samsung Galaxy S8

You don’t need us to tell you that the Galaxy S8 is a bezel-less smartphone thing of wonder. Just look at it: glorious! And beneath that gorgeous facade lies an equally sumptuous blend of power and performance. With enough oomph to run any app you please, and a point and shoot camera to rival both the iPhone 7 Plus and the Google Pixel, this really is an astoundingly good comeback after Samsung’s Note 7 woes. We’d have accepted nothing less.
One Plus 3T

This phone is just like the old OnePlus3, aside from its higher price and a few little extras that don’t really change how it is to use or, crucially, where its relative to its pricier rivals. In other words, it continues to be the best choice for shrewd buyers.
Apple iPhone 7 Plus

The best iPhone camera, screen and battery there is no better iOS choice available.
LG G6

One of the most visually unique phones out there and it holds its own against strong competition.
Huawei P10 Plus

A true flagship phone that gives you plenty of power a great screen and one of the best cameras going.
Apple iPhone 7

Forget the headphone furore the iPhone 7 is a slick update packed with worthwhile new features.
Honor 8 Pro

Looking at the One Plus 3T, but you’d prefer a slightly bigger screen? Honor’s phablet is a fine alternative.

Add yours if you think the list is not complete

Science/Technology / Re: How To Force Restart Your Iphone By TECHKNOWNG by mayorkun(m): 11:50am On Jun 18, 2017
mayorkun:

The easiest way to restart your iPhone is basically the inverse of turning it on. This method is often referred to as a “soft reset,” meaning you won’t lose any data and nothing will be deleted from your phone. The best time to perform a soft reset is when your phone is running a bit slower than usual, an app isn’t opening or working properly, or some other relatively small problem has occurred, but your iPhone is still responsive.

Step 1: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the “Slide to Power Off” slider appears. On the iPhone 6 and later models, you’ll find the Sleep/Wake button on the right side of the phone. On the iPhone SE, iPhone 5S, and earlier models, the Sleep/Wake button is found on the top.

Step 2: Rest your finger on the slider, then swipe to the right.

Step 3: Once there’s nothing on the screen and it goes black, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until the Apple logo appears.

Another way to restart your iPhone is to do what Apple officially calls a “Force Restart.” Once again, no important data will be lost. A force restart is recommended when your iPhone is completely unresponsive. Examples of this include times when your iPhone’s screen turns black (despite it being powered on), the screen freezes, or your iPhone encounters an issue during startup.

The exact way to perform a force restart differs between older iPhone models and the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Instead of a traditional Home button, the newer iPhones have a Home/Touch ID sensor, which isn’t used to trigger a force restart.

On the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus:

Step 1: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons until the Apple logo appears.

On the iPhone 6S and earlier:

Step 1: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together until the Apple logo appears.

What do you do if a restart doesn’t work? Use Force Restart to enter DFU mode

DFU stands for Device Firmware Update. This mode will allow the iPhone to interact with iTunes without loading the operating system. If your iPhone’s operating system is in a state of failure, where you really can’t do anything with your phone and the iPhone is completely unresponsive, entering DFU mode allows you to restore the iPhone. This process will delete everything you had on your device, but sometimes this may be the only way to bring your iOS device back to life. Hopefully you followed our guides on how to backup your iPhone, with or without iTunes, so that you can recover your data after you erase your iPhone.

For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

Step 1: Plug in your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes.

Step 2: Perform a Force Restart by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume Down button at the same time for 10 seconds.

Step 3: Let go of the Sleep/Wake button.

Step 4: Keep holding down the Volume Down button for an additional 10 seconds.

Step 6: You will see a message on your computer screen saying iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

Step 7: Click OK on this message to begin restoring your iPhone.

Step 1: Plug in your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes.

Step 2: Perform a Force Restart by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for 8 seconds.

Step 3: Let go of the Sleep/Wake button.

Step 4: Keep holding down the Home button.

Step 5: You will see a message on your computer screen saying iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

Step 6: Click OK on this message to begin restoring your iPhone.

What’s the difference between a soft reset, a force restart, and a factory reset?

Restarting your iPhone using the software option, or a soft reset, will not result in the loss of any data. The same is true of a force restart, which allows you to use the hardware keys to restart your iPhone when the touchscreen isn’t responsive. A Factory Reset is a completely different beast, however. It essentially reverts your iPhone back to the way it was when it first came out of the box — it wipes all content, settings, and
personal information from the device.

We often recommend factory resetting your iPhone as a last resort if you’re having issues that you can’t solve, but it can also be used when you’re trading your iPhone in, giving it to a friend, or if the phone has been lost or stolen. It’s not a permanent process, however, since a previous backup can be used to restore everything that was once on your phone. If you need to perform a factory reset, read our guide on how to factory reset an iPhone, which also includes a breakdown of the reset options found in Settings > General > Reset.

Car Talk / Top Ten Car Manufacturers by mayorkun(m): 10:22pm On Jun 12, 2017
TOP 10 CAR MANUFACTURERS
There have been lists that discuss the top ten sports cars, the ten most expensive cars to be produced etc. We decided to compile a list of top ten manufacturers. I am sure all of you must have heard the following names before. There really is nothing new, just some general information about your favorite automobile manufacturers. How many of you own how many of these cars? I am going to be honest here and confess that I do not own any of the following brands. You can share your experiences in the comments though. Also, I think if you consider the headlights, no brand beats B.M.W and Audi, at least in my opinion. The interesting bit I came across while compiling this article was that I finally discovered what B.M.W meant. I know, it is ignorant considering the fact that I live and breathe cars, but once a friend told me what it meant and I believed him. Never bothered to check whether it was correct or not. Enjoy the read!
