Now almost everyone has a Facebook account and even multiple. It is hard to find a person without marked his or her presence in social media. Isn’t it ?

There are several politicians or world leaders who use their Facebook account effectively to connect with the people. They update pages regularly with latest govt. decisions and their opinions on current affairs. Thus social media builds a bridge in between the leaders and their supporters.

These are the 10 most followed world leaders on Facebook. Barak Obama lost the power early this year, but still has many followers than any other world leader. He enjoys the top spot with more than 54 million fans on the social site.

Science/Technology / You Can Now Pin Your Ongoing Chats On WhatsApp...See How by mayorkun(m): 10:59am On May 03, 2017
Whatever messaging app you use, you probably have more than a dozen ongoing chats, whether it’s a one-on-one chat or a group chat. This means you sometimes have to scroll through several chats before getting to the one you want to go to. That’s why pinned messages or chats is a useful feature for these kinds of apps. For some reason, WhatsApp did not have this but it looks like they’ve finally wised up as the beta update for the app has added the pinned chats feature.

If the idea of pinned chats is alien to you, it lets you have easy access to to a message or chat that is important to you by pinning them to the top of your app. So this means no matter how many other chats or messages come in, it will still be at the top. With the current version of WhatsApp, it only has a starred feature which is the closest to a pinned feature that you can get. But now some users have detected a pinned chat feature in the beta version of WhatsApp which means it may soon be coming to the main app itself.

The pinning feature works for both individual and group chats but is currently limited to only 3 pinned chats at once. They may add to this limit in the future, although of course having a lot of pinned chats on your messaging app may actually defeat the purpose of this feature.

No news yet as to when the pinned chat feature will be available to all WhatsApp users. But if you want to check this out now, you can get the WhatsApp beta so you can also test out new features that they initially bring to this version.

Phones / 5 Awesome Things About The Android Nougat by mayorkun(m): 5:19pm On May 02, 2017
1. Battery Power Optimization

The show stopper for Android N — improved battery life. Building along the same lines, we have the battery power optimization option which essentially means that an optimized app will cease eating battery juice when the phone is ideal.

The options can be found under the battery settings. Though few apps like Facebook and Messenger continue to be huge guzzlers of battery juice, even when optimized.

2. Better Notification Control

So the new shopping app has been relentless in its display of discount coupons, right? While you can’t go ahead and ban the app (shopping is a therapy, remember?), this nifty little trick will take care of your hassles. The next time a notification arrives, long-press on it and tap on Block all notifications.

There’s also the prospect of making the notifications mellow down a bit through Show notification silently, instead of outright blocking them. If you want the same option for a different app, head over to Notifications and choose the required option.

3. Data Saver

For the folks who haven’t been blessed with an infinite data plan, you can heave a sigh of relief.

Nougat sports a built-in data saver feature which makes the apps use lesser data by limiting the background data usages.

Furthermore, it also informs apps to use less data on the foreground as well. This doesn’t necessarily mean that apps will completely stop using data, but they will do so less frequently.

4. Arrange Quick Settings Menu

Agreed that the quick settings menu can turn out to be really helpful as it gets things done in a jiffy. Plus, it also lets you customize tiles as per your convenience. So if you don’t want the hotspot icon, you can easily swap it with a different one.

All you have to do is, tap on the edit icon on the upper right corner and the canvas will be laid out for you to experiment.

Did you know that the first five icons on the quick settings menu are the ones that are displayed in the quick-access menu? Well, now you know.

5. Enable Power Notifications

Nougat also comes packed with system UI tuner. Once it’s turned on, it opens a window of modifications. Among them, the power notification is quite a nifty feature. It lets you choose the priority of an app’s notification. The notification levels range from Level 1 through level 5, 5 being the most important.

Once it’s enabled, you can see the same in the notification menu in settings. By default, the system determines the importance of the app, but it can be changed with just a single tap on the A icon.

Phones / How To Install Unauthorized Apps On Android And Ios by mayorkun(m): 5:08pm On May 02, 2017
Google and Apple like to keep you safely inside the walled gardens of their respective app stores, but vaulting over those confining walls is actually pretty easy—as long as you know what you’re doing. In this guide, we’ll walk you through exactly how to install unauthorized applications in process otherwise known as sidel
oading.

First of all: You should know the risks. Apps only need to be sideloaded when they aren’t officially approved by Google or Apple, and that means you’re throwing away all the safety and security their respective approval provides. You need to be very, very sure you trust an app before you allow it on your phone, otherwise you could expose yourself to hacking or phishing threats.

So why is sideloading important? Sometimes you might want to install an app that doesn’t meet the rules of iOS and Android; or you might want to join a beta test where only unofficial app packages are available. Most users will never need to sideload an app in their lives, but it can be a handy tr
ick to know.

It’s worth repeating though that you should do this at your own risk—you’re giving the virtual bouncers employed by Apple and Google the night off and running security yourself. Only sideload an app if you’re 100 percent sure it’s not going to do anything untoward with your data or your device.

Android

Sideloading is slightly easier on Android. First, you need to tell the operating system that you’re prepared to allow unauthorized apps on your device (apps from “unknown sources” in official parlance). Head to Settings then tap Security and toggle the Unknown sources switch to On.

With that done, you simply need to get an APK (Android Application Package) on your device in whatever way you prefer: you can download it from the web, transfer it via USB, use a third-party file manager app, and so on. Just be very sure you get it from a reputable source, as even genuine APKs can be bundled with unwanted extras.

Launch the APK using your app or file manager of choice and once you’ve tapped through the standard warning message the app installs itself—from this point on you can use it (and uninstall it) as normal. In most cases the app will auto-update itself as well, although this can vary.

iOS

To sideload apps on iOS you need to take advantage of a recent change to the Xcode software. For the uninitiated, Xcode is a free developer app available through the Mac Store. Installing unauthorized apps is a more involved process than it is on Android, and it comes with a few more limitations.

Once Xcode is safely installed on your device, add your Apple ID details under Accounts in the Preferences dialog (in the Xcode menu). You then need to obtain the source code for the app you want to install in iOS: it could be a Game Boy Advance emulator, a display tweaking utility or a weighing app.

Depending on the app, you might need to do some preparatory work, but if a developer is making the source code available then you’ll usually find basic instructions included to get it into a form that Xcode can recognize. Use File then Open to open up your app, and select the project on the left.

Connect your iOS device, then from inside Xcode choose Product, Destination and select your device. Give the package a unique name in the Bundle Identifier field (under the General tab), make sure your Apple ID is selected as the team name, and you’re just about good to go.

Click the Run button (top left) to compile, load, and run the iOS app on your device. It’s not quite as straightforward to follow as the Android approach, and may require some extra work, but it’s worth trying for those apps you really want to on your iPhone that aren’t listed in the app store.

If you are the type that spends more time online like me or you have a very large file to upload, you will agree with me that this night plan is completely for you.

The service during daytime is always slow(not MTN), so the only time you get to experience a very fast data service at night.

MTN #25 For 500MB and AIRTEL #25 500MB is less costly compared to GLO #200 for 500MB night plan. So here is how to activate MTN #25 for 500MB night plan.
Note: you can only activate it once per night
How to activate MTN #25 for 500MB night plan

-- First make sure you have #25 or more on you MTN line
--- text "night" to 131 to activate the plan

. Dfd
--Then you get an instant reply saying " Y'ello! Your request has been received and is being processed. You will receive a response shortly. Please don't resend your request. Thank you!"---- It might take a while depending on the network before you get another message welcoming you to the night plan, but dont let that deceive you, you can start browsing immediately after seeing the first reply.HOW TO ACTIVATE AIRTEL #25 FOR 500MB. -- FIRST DIAL *312# ON YOUR PHONE THEN PROCEED WITH THE PROCESS.What I really find interesting about Airtel night plan is that you can activate it multiple times compared to MTN that you can only activate it once.

Phones / Infinix Note 3; My Experience With The Device So Far by mayorkun(m): 3:40pm On Mar 22, 2017
I recently bought the infinix note 3 phone, and believe me the phone is DOPE with its fingerprint scanner actively working, it's clean camera and its double flash and fast charge

-- The battery; the phone came with a battery capacity of 4500mah (un-removable) I was playing music, have my hotspot ON and with a 3G data on the battery used more than 10hours, an incredible amount of battery power. The phone's battery is one of the reason I bought this phone, and believe me, I am enjoying it.

--- Charging; After using the battery for more than 10hrs, I decided to plug the phone from its 10% battery to its follow come Charger, after plugging the phone for 40minutes, I was really
surprised of how fast it charged, I saw 80%. So the story of Infinix Note 3 having a fast charge is true, very fast, but when it got to 80percent it took more than another 30minutes to charge 100percent, if I would buy a phone with Fast charge, it will definitely be an infinix product.

Phones / 5 Good Reasons You Should Put Password On Your Phone by mayorkun(m): 7:01am On Feb 28, 2017
Your data is worth a lot to thieves and fraudsters; therefore you should be careful with the source
s these thieves and fraudsters can use to ac
cess these data. It is time to get rid of the notion that using a password for your devices means you have something to hide. This will help prevent sensitive data like banking and account details, social security details, corporate email information etc. from being unnecessarily compromised.

Jumia Travel shares 5 important reasons you should password your devices.

1. To Avoid Pocket Dialing
Pocket dialing, especially for smartphones and even basic phones, can be humorous or annoying, but most annoyingly because your airtime is being wasted without your knowledge. Here, a preloaded phone number can be dialed when a person has a phone in the rear pocket and sits on it, or if the phone gets ‘jostled’ in a purse or briefcase. This occurrence will be reduced, if not eliminated, if your device was locked with a passcode.

2. To Protect Your Private Information
Symantec, a leading security software maker, conducted an experiment to encourage smartphone users to protect their private information. In the experiment, a phone was loaded with fake password, banking information, emails and photos, and a tracking software was installed on it to monitor what people will do with the phone when found. At the end of the experiment, the result showed 72 per cent looked through photos, 57 per cent checked out saved passwords and 43 per cent accessed the phone’s online banking app.

Science/Technology / How To Post Multiple Photos In Instagram by mayorkun(m): 11:14am On Feb 24, 2017
The update lets users post a series of photos without bombarding their followers with multiple posts, in the same way that Facebook's albums work. Instagram recently branched into Stories, which allow users to share a number of photos without pushing them to people's main feed, but these disappear after 24 hours.

How to post a slideshow

1. The update is included in Instagram version 10.9 for iOS and Android: go to your respective app store to see whether the update has been applied.

2.  In Instagram itself, hit the Plus sign in the bottom of the screen as if you were to add a regular photo. In the photo window next to the Boomerang and Layout icons there should be a "Select Multiple" button.

3. When you've hit it you can select up to 10 photos or videos, either from your camera roll or taken within Instagram. They will have a little number indicating their order (you can change this later).

4. When you're happy, click "next" in the top right corner to go to the editing screen. The filters along the bottom will be applied to all images or videos. If you click each one you can edit them independently.

5. You can rearrange photos by holding them and dragging them to the left or the right, or remove them by holding and dragging them up to the bin icon. If you want to add more there's the plus button on the right hand side.

6. When you're happy, click next. The caption and location will apply to the whole post.
