A lot of student do not know much about different engineering field and probably have no idea what field is right for them. There are many factors to consider while choosing an engineering course which include future job demand, your own interest, subjects you understand better while in secondary school,etc.

This purpose of this thread is to lay more emphasis on the subject you understand better while in secondary school. Many have made mistake while choosing engineering course because they do not consider what subject they know better while in secondary school, a typical example is a roommate of mine who was given food science and technology as a course to study and then thinking that all what the course is is all about knowing different kinds of food and how to cook them not knowing he needs a proper understanding of chemistry,biology with a balance of maths.Another example is a friend of mine studying mechanical engineering but wants to change to chemical engineering due to its proper understanding of chemistry than physics.

Agricultural engineering; maths40%,chemistry10%,agric30%,technical drawing 10%,physics 10%

A cousin of mine who is good in drawing and some other art works wants to study fine art but is discouraged by friends and family that the course does not guarante an employment.....is this really true?

I do think there is no difference between a technician and an engineer because I believe a technician can do what an engineer do until someone told me, a technician undergoes apprenticeship without any formal education in the chosen field unlike an engineer who deal with evolving problem solving techniques, pattern and design of equipment...is there really l a difference between a technician and engineer?

This girl is a coursemate of mine in the university,whenever we see each other on campus or in class, we chat, talk, gist a lot that even our friends would think we are dating . But I noticed something especially on our Facebook accounts, she does not like any of my posts nor comments on it esp pictures but she does that to others guys accounts... Even on my birthday she didn't post anything on my timeline
Am really confused about her behavior

Does she really care for me or she doesn't?

I'm also a biochemist and these are the courses u are LIKELY to reg. note I capitalised the word likely bcis it is possible they change some courses for the incoming freshers as the department is now undergoing a kind of syllabus restructure. My tablet which I bought around November last year is no longer speed charging as usual.....Following the use of Bluetooth which I use to send a video to a non Android phone, my tablet has not been charging wella, a lot of time when am using Bluetooth,my tab will switch itself off even if it have a lot of power in the battery and it takes like 12hours before it can restart thereby causing slow charging........ Can Bluetooth cause slow charging Because it's only when I use my Bluetooth that I have these problems?

Prayer is a means of communicating with God.Everyone do pray in one way or the other but do you know some prayers do take time before it gets answers and sometimes prayers do not answers...Here are five reasons why I think our prayers may not get answered

Failure is inevitable
Do you know that failure contributes to one success,it's one of the factors that determine success.. our prayers may not get answered because we need to fail..you may think how does failure leads to success, the answer is this,imagine those who had become successful,most of them do pray and fail but with continuous trial they end up being successful... Prayer not being answered leads to failure and failure leads to success.

Prayers contradicts
One can truly agree that prayers do contradict. Looking at different professions of individuals such as lawyers,doctors, technicians and so on,A lawyer would pray people go to court,a doctor would pray people get sick,a technician pray people gets faulty device....going to court,getting sick and getting faulty electronics especially cars are also what many pray against.. with this contradiction, prayers are likely going to take time before it get answered

Environmental factors
Some environmental factors do allow some prayers not to be answered,looking at the 2017 utme where about 1.5million is to do,is it possible for all candidate to pass the exam?the answer is no,it's not possible, why?students weren't able to prepare well due to one reason or another and not all tertiary institutions can has the capacity to admit the 1.5 million that register... Those who fail the exam and wasn't given admission, won't they pray too?

Prayers that are illogical
There are some prayers that are absurd and irrational such prayers includes a lady who loses her virgin later realize her mistake then started praying to God to give her back her virgin,a person praying to see a bag of rice loaded with dollars... All these prayers are relatively irrational

Praying without action
we all know heaven help those who help themselves... praying without putting specific action into play leads to failure,those prayers can never gets to be answered

Find an electrician in your area and register as an apprentice. In two years time you will even be earning money. I swear in your final year you will do project for people and make a hell of money (I don't encourage you to do that anyway)

Start now and continue till you graduate. Don't be like me that was carried away with so many distractions. Pay the price earlier.

Dabble into video game consoles, flatscreens and computers/laptops if you can. Everything that has a panel/circuit board is in your domain. In other words, experiment with as many things as you can. There is no shortage of electrical panels for you to experiment with.

Save up money and get a laptop, then do research on electrical engineering softwares. pm if you can. I can point some out.

Go to youtube and watch videos if you have data.

Don't miss the electrician part. That is where you get the best practical knowledge.

During your holiday period, you can do so electrical training course with AETI and other training outlets, this will further exposed you as the training is practically oriented.
Concerning certification, its depends on the area u want to specialise.
There are many certification.
