A top trending game on playstore, scream go hero where all you need to do is to yell and scream.Currently in my hostel, too much of noise has filled the air by people playing this game. The rule of the game is this: Shout at your phone to move! Don't Stop! Talk softly at the stickman to make it walk. Yell or scream at the stickman to make it jump! In this game, you need to use your voice to control the movement of the note. Try to run and jump as longest as possible before you die. Use your voice to move and jump between platforms. Soft voice to jump, scream to jump. Watch out! From the review section, some recommended to a bored family, someone said the game has turned him to a child Another person said the game is fun and interesting when even though he has almost lost is voice. See more review in pictures below. However, some are of the opinion that the game is rubbish as you can't play such in public places else they would think one is mad.

While ASUU are waiting for NEC resolution, they decide to conduct an opinion poll as whether NEC would resolve to 1.Call off strike 2.Full government compliance See reactions

Never mind the guy above me,he is a taunt What is the purpose & objective of ASUU embarking on strike?.... To me strike is not an effective means to have government's attention. Not in Nigeria! Government executive hardly have kids in these universities. Presently, they retire between 64-70 even when most of their product continue to remain unemployed. Not to talk of side contacts they have with private and foreign universities which the purported strike only make them earn more additional income at the expense of Nigeria students at home. |
It will be recalled that last year some members of ASUU OAU pulls out of the Union to form Congress Of University Academics CONUA....It would be noted also that only the members of CONUA have been running the academic activities of the school ever since ASUU has been on strike. While the lecturers (CONUA members) are trying to coordinate exams(which is to begin on Jan 14th) for their students,ASUU OAU have now released a letter (that has caused confusion as to whether student should prepare for their exams or not) to all OAU students indicating that all exams conducted without their involvement is null and void.... I am an undergraduate student of a federal university, like someone said "2019 is about opportunities and collaborations"...Then I discovered I might be opportuned to be in a position this year 2019 to give speech (public speaking),making public speaking one of my 2019 goals and the ability to communicate a message, sell an idea, or paint a vision is a critical skill for anyone who wants to have an impact on the others. Having not done or knowing anything about public speaking because I don't participate in debate neither have I experienced one which is why I need all nairalander's help in highlighting the steps I need to take to become skilled in public speaking, and I know the platform is the best stepping stone to achieve it. |
Although, mark zuckerberg was the biggest loser, his current net worth higher is still higher than the top 10 biggest billionaire winner except Jeff Bezos and Bill gate, world top billionaire for 24 years(until it was taken by Jeff Bezos as at 2018) with a current net worth of $93.9 billion(increase of $2.9 billion) |
From a report recently released by FORBES The biggest loser in the world was Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who had a terrible year amid internal scandals and damaging publicity. He was the only American among the ten biggest billionaire losers with a loss of $18.6 billion and current net worth of $52.5 billon. The day after Facebook reported disappointing second-quarter results in July, the company’s shares plunged 19%, erasing $15.4 billion of Zuckerberg’s fortune. Other factors contributed to Facebook’s decline in 2018: Congress grilled Zuckerberg on Facebook’s data use in April, and in November, the New York Timesdisclosed that Facebook paid a public affairs firm to promulgate negative information about George Soros, who had criticized the social media firm Still there are also billionaires whose fortune increased, the biggest gainer by a vast mast margin was Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos whose fortune climbed $28 billion making its net worth $126 between December 29 2017 to December 17 2018. https://www.forbes.com/sites/denizcam/2018/12/21/the-biggest-billionaire-winners-and-losers-of-2018/?utm_source=LINKEDIN_COMPANY&utm_medium=social&utm_content=2061191974&utm_campaign=sprinklrForbesMainLI#50519933526e

METHODOLOGY The Poll was conducted in the week commencing December 17th, 2018. It involved telephone interviews of a random nationwide sample. 1,000 randomly selected phone-owning Nigerians aged 18 years and above, representing the six geopolitical zones in the country, were interviewed. Although the sample size is small, the selection of the sample from the six geopolitical zone will lead to accurate results. NOIPolls is a polling service across west african that delivers forward thinking research & relevant data on public opinion and consumer markets, enhancing the activities of decision makers across all the vibrant sectors of the Nigerian economy |
The new year poll report released by NOIPolls indicating the areas needing Government's attention, see the top three below SURVEY FINDINGS The poll results revealed that a higher proportion of Nigerians (49 percent) want the government to focus its attention towards improving the quality and standard of education in the country given the current state of the sector. Similarly, 44 percent expect the government to drastically improve the security situation in the country considering the challenges faced in these areas in 2018. This is followed by 36 percent who cited electricity supply. Other areas that Nigerians wants the government to focus its attention on in 2019 include ‘Economy’ (32 percent), ‘Agriculture’ (29 percent), ‘Job creation’ (26 percent), ‘Infrastructure’ (22 percent) and ‘Health care’ (18 percent) amongst others. Further analysis by geo-political zones revealed certain peculiarities across geo-political zones regarding the areas Nigerians expects the government to focus its attention on in 2019. For instance, while education (64 percent) and security seems to be a priority for residents from the North-West and North-East zones, electricity appears to be a more pressing issue for Nigerians in the South-South zone. Similarly, residents in the South-West zone indicated that economy as the most pressing area where the government should focus its attention on in 2019. In conclusion, the poll has revealed that the quality and standard of education is Nigeria is unacceptable as most Nigerians task the government to improve the sector in 2019. Also, Nigerians lamented over the state of internal security in the country in 2018 hence 44 percent specifically mentioning that the government should tackle security challenges in 2019. Despite the current 7,000 Mega Watts (MW) of electricity being generated, 36 percent of Nigerians want the government to improve the sector so as to empower SMEs and other ventures to grow their businesses. It is therefore the responsibility of the government to listen to the demands of its citizens and work to improve in these areas to ensure a better quality of life for the average Nigerians. Finally, it is advised that the government put an end to the various security challenges that pervaded Nigeria in 2018 so as to attract more investors. https://googleweblight.com/i?u=https://www.noi-polls.com/root/index.php%3Fpid%3D527%26parentid%3D14%26ptid%3D1&hl=en-NG&tg=81&pt=2

The 2019 budget has some unrealistic assumption that will strongly affect its implementation, we can see this first looking at the main dependency of the budget which is Oil. |
Deloitte, one of the big 4 has made a summary of 2019 proposed budget presented by president Muhammadu buhari highlighting keynotes assumptions and comparing 2019 budget against 2018. Deloitte summary-The 2019 Budget which flows from the 2019-2021 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) showed projected aggregate expenditure of ₦8.83 trillion, expected revenue of ₦6.97 trillion and a deficit of ₦1.86 trillion. The planned expenditure for 2019 is lower than the approved 2018 Appropriation Act figure of ₦9.12 trillion by 3% but higher than the estimate of ₦8.6 trillion contained in the President’s initial submission to the National Assembly. The expected revenue of ₦6.97 trillion for 2019 is also lower than the approved 2018 budget of ₦7.17 trillion by 3% but higher than ₦6.6 trillion contained in the Appropriation Bill initially submitted by the President. Key assumptions The budgeted daily crude oil production and exchange rate contained in 2019 Budget remained the same as in the approved prior year’s Budget at 2.3 million barrels per day and N305/$, respectively. However, the benchmark oil price is put at $60 per barrel, up from the $51 per barrel approved for 2018. GDP growth is projected at 3.01% compared with 3.5% in prior year, while inflation rate is projected at 9.98%. With the volatility in oil prices and the current downward trend being experienced, the benchmark oil price appears optimistic. It will also be a tough task to actualise planned daily oil production of 2.3 million barrels per day in an election year considering that actual daily oil production in 2018 as at the end of third quarter was 1.95 million barrels per day. https://blog.deloitte.com.ng/federal-government-of-nigerias-2019-budget-of-continuity/
