This is the indeed a good news coming to stay in Africa, financial transaction will be more flexible. Once we perfect the continental payment systems, the next step will be putting money wallets and of course we need to have money before exchange can be contemplated |
Two of Africa’s largest mobile operators and mobile money providers, Orange Group and MTN Group, today announced a joint venture, Mowali (mobile wallet interoperability), to enable interoperable payments across the continent. Mowali makes it possible to send money between mobile money accounts issued by any mobile money provider, in real time and at low cost. Mowali will immediately benefit from the reach of MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money, bringing together over 100 million mobile money accounts and mobile money operations in 22 of sub-Saharan Africa’s 46 markets. Mowali is ready to enable interoperability between digital financial service providers beyond MTN and Orange operations and markets, to support the existing 338 million mobile money accounts in Africa. Mowali is a digital payment infrastructure that connects financial service providers and customers in one inclusive network. It functions as an industry utility, open to any mobile money provider in Africa, including banks, money transfer operators and other financial service providers. The objective of Mowali is to increase the usage of mobile money by consumers and merchants. Mowali enables money to circulate freely between mobile money accounts from any operators in all countries. From the customer's point of view, this means "I can pay or receive money anywhere from my mobile account regardless of my operator”. The system will unlock further innovation in the digital financial space within the continent.

GT Bank not among the first four, seems the bank is finding it difficult to sustain some innovation driven customer base expansion lalasticlala |
Agusto & Co. has rated Stanbic IBTC, Access Bank Plc, the United Bank of Africa (UBA) and First Bank Nigeria excellent in digital banking satisfaction. This was conveyed in the maiden edition of Agusto & Co. Consumer Digital Banking Satisfaction Index report launched in Lagos yesterday. The respondents in the survey were a combination of students, self-employed and employed customers of various commercial banks in Nigeria and was focused on issues around service quality and ease of carrying out transactions. It also highlighted customers’ preferences and attitude towards digital banking platforms provided by banks in Nigeria. The ‘5 Star’ rating assigned to the above-mentioned banks, according to the report reflects ease of use, perceived security and good troubleshooting & IT resolution on its different digital platforms. The index revealed that Stanbic IBTC Bank has the most ease in navigating through primary platforms such as mobile app, USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) or web as well as the fact that customers felt the most secured using their preferred primary platforms. They also rated the bank high in conflict resolution encountered by customers on the various digital banking channels. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/10/04/agusto-co-launches-digital-banking-satisfaction-index/?amp |

CodeTemplar:Most students leaving OAU leave there for overseas, its only the ones with EXTREMELY bad results that do consider going to private unis,(you can verify this yourself)......Abi which students will want to be suspended for not attending an easter service having being in an unrestricted uni before......lol |
CodeTemplar:1.The OP didn't mention Tope as a foreign student, but as a foreign language student, I think its a mistake on the on the OP's side 2.Who told you OAU doesn't have foreign students?....in faculty of technology alone, there are significant number of those there, To add to this, some private universities students are transferring to Great IFE.....I can count those who came from covenant university.... |
