ChrisKels:If you get big news, Drop it like it's hot. No need for hide and seek games. What you did last time with the German kids still dey vex me. Las las, non of them showed green light.

ChrisKels:Rohr must invite Onyekuru to prove that he is not Corrupt. If he still ignores Onyekuru after he topped the Belgium league with goals even when his Coach didn't believe in him, then Genort Rorh is being controled by NFF ![]() |

Simy Nwankwo lights up Nigeria's World Cup camp Not many who came to watch the Super Eagles' first full pre-World Cup camp training session at the practice pitch of the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium, could have told Simy Nwankwo from Adam before the session started. This includes the assembled posse of journalists who had defied the burning topical sun to turn up to observe. By the end of the session, however, everyone present knew who the Crotone forward was, and this wasn't just because of his towering beanpole frame. All it took was one moment of goalscoring magic, but there were many others before and after. After an hour of exercises, limbering up and ball work, Gernot Rohr broke his team into two sides to play against each other. Simy led one line, and it was not too long before he left everyone open-mouthed with his skill. First he beat the offside trap, admittedly a marginal call, but then out-sprinted his marker with long, rangy steps before moving one on one with goalkeeper Francis Uzoho. Without breaking stride, he dropped a shoulder, watched Uzoho take the bait and sprawl helplessly on the turf, before chipping a majestic ball over the young goalkeeper. First, a collective gasp, then applause went around the watchers on the sidelines. One security detail nearly dropped his rifle. It was a moment of genius, and the kind of goal that can seal a World Cup berth for an outsider. This isn't to say that Simy has already secured his spot in Russia, but goals like that, and the consistently high overall technical ability he showed on Thursday, could well lead to a surprise selection. The player himself would not be drawn into losing his head in the clouds "I am just here to be part of the family," he told KweséESPN afterwards. "It's not about what I can add to the team. "It's about becoming part of a big family that has been doing great things and adapting to the system. Inside the team there are a lot of quality players that have been doing well, so it's just about becoming one of them." If he keeps up this level of performance, Simy should slide seamlessly into the Super Eagles side. http://global.espn.com/football/nigeria/story/3509201/simy-nwankwo-lights-up-nigerias-world-cup-camp?platform=amp |

This people are doing everything to motivate the boys, but I feel the pressure is becoming too much ASTYMIN promises Eagles N1million per goal Vanguard By Gabriel Olawale. tbaba1234:Imagine mentioning Musa and Onazi when we are discussing set - peices, as if the role is given like captaincy to older boys. |
tbaba1234:Damn. |
tbaba1234:Please, help your people and post it here. |
Toylove:So, This is the first time this issue was raised as it ralates to Moses? |
sontoly:I remember him taking almost all the free-kicks, bullied Iheanacho. He will be more effective if he plays with the team. Football is all about team work. |
Bolowolowo:The bolded is the key word . Moses has been exhibiting this attitude even when there was no FA Cup final in the picture that he could have played . If not for picture evidence of his team mates from Chelsea training with their respective countries, some of us will find no fault in justifying what he is doing. He did this in the last friendly with Poland and Serbia. Chelsea played a match on Sunday with Leicester City, the Next day, Iheanacho and Ndidi made themselves available in the camp. But Moses made sure he was the last player to arrive at the camp. Moses has a serious attitude problem that he only exhibit when he is on international duty. At Chelsea he stays humble, but in Nigeria he acts like the team revolves around him. Seriously, it is becoming too much. Do you think that Nigeria Football fans are not seeing this attitude of his? Ofcourse, most people are annoyed with him and this is breeding comtempt . Go to Brilla Facebook page and See their reaction when it was first reported that he was yet to arrive at the camp. In the long run, If his attitude is not curtailed now, it will affect the dressing room and bring disconnection between the players and jeopardized the team connection/spirit that they worked hard to build. |
World Cup: Nigeria’s Iheanacho looking forward to game against ‘idol’ Messi The Leicester City striker spoke of working hard to fulfilling his dream of turning out in Nigeria colours, and hopes to get one over his idol Kelechi Iheanacho hopes Nigeria ‘get something’ from their tie against his ‘idol’ Lionel Messi and Argentina at the World Cup. Gernot Rohr’s side are pitted with Croatia, Iceland and La Albiceleste in Group D of the global tournament. However, they only get to play Jorge Sampaoli’s men in their final group game on June 26 as their campaign starts with a meeting with the Fiery Ones. Although, the Leicester City is delighted with ‘memory’ he would have of lining up against the Argentina captain at the Saint-Petersburg Stadium, he aims to get one over him. “I’ve had the opportunity to train with him when I was at the [Manchester] City Academy and he is something else,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV. “I hope we get something against them and he’s going to play, so it’s going to be something good, a memory to play against Messi. He’s one of my idols so I look up to him. “He’s so many people’s idol in the world so he’s a player you like to play with, to learn something, of course, so I will be happy to play against him. “Of course, after 90 minutes, we’ll see what happens and hopefully we’ll get something.” On his thought about Super Eagles’ group, he said: “It’s a difficult group, I think the most difficult if you ask me, but people will think it is not the most difficult. “It’s going to be a difficult group because all the countries are strong and trying to get something as well. “The countries, they are not messing around, they are strong countries so everyone will be strong and looking to get points to go through to the next round.” The former youth international - part of Nigeria's 30-man provisional squad for the quadrennial tournament in Russia - also spoke of his pride at representing the three-time African champions at international level. “Right from when I was little, I always had this dream of playing for country," he said. “Of course, I worked hard to get to that place but I think I will always have this dream of playing for my country and wearing the green, white, green and it feels good for me. “I love it so I’m proud to be playing for my country and to wear the green, white, green so it’s something everyone wishes to do, to play for their country.” https://sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/world-cup-nigeria-iheanacho-looking-165019885.html |
INTERVIEW – Ajiboye: Super Eagles Goalkeepers Are Partners, Not Rivals completesportsnigeria.com May 24, 2018 8:23 PM INTERVIEW – Ajiboye: Super Eagles Goalkeepers Are Partners, Not Rivals Plateau United goalkeeper Oladele Ajiboye is one of four goalkeepers currently sweating it out in the Super Eagles pre-World Cup training camp in Uyo and in this exclusive interview with Completesportsnigeria.com’s KAYODE OGUNDARE, he reveals his World Cup aspirations, relationship with the other keepers and club ambition to retain the Nigeria Professional Football League title… What was your reaction when you saw that you made the list of 30 players for the Super Eagles training camp? Yes, to say the least, I was surprised when I saw my name on the list. I congratulated myself that my hardwork is paying off and I also thanked the technical crew for the consideration. It means they have been monitoring my performance all this while. You have made the 30-man list but you still have to battle to be in the final 23. What do you think you need to do to make the cut? I think I need to work harder, be more dedicated and focused and then I need to also pray because with God all things are possible. He’s kept me this far and I trust Him to see me through. What’s the relationship between you and the other four goalkeepers? What’s the rivalry like? I’ve always said that all four of us do not see each other as rivals. We are all working together to bring glory to Nigeria and anyone that God calls to be named in the team will have the support and prayers of the rest of us. Competition yes but rivalry, no. We are all friends. What’s the difference between the training routine at your club and in the national team? You can never compare national team training with your clubside. Even if you are in the national camp for just one week, the work schedule and training techniques will certainly be different. You need 200% focus in training when you are with the national team. You cannot afford to make mistakes because the stakes are higher and you carry the hope of so many people. Talking about your club, do you think Plateau United can successfully retain the league title they won last year? Yea, I believe the league title is still up for grabs and we have a very strong team which is good enough to win it even though we are not on top at the moment. We have walked this path before so we know what’s at stake and what’s required. We have the backing of the state governor, we have the same technical crew and we have even recruited new players which mean we are stronger than we were last year when we won the title so it is still very possible to win it. Given all you have said, Plateau United are still trailing leaders Lobi Stars. Is it that the league is stronger than it was last year or your team is not as strong as it was when you won the title? Thanks to the League Management Company (LMC), the league keeps improving year on year. You cannot compare what happened two seasons ago when Rangers won the title with last year when we won and now this year. Hopefully next season will still be better than this one. Even this season you can see how many teams are on the heels of Lobi Stars so it’s not going to be easy to predict who will win but we will continue to fight until the final day. We wish you all the best and thanks for talking to us. Thank you very much. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/interview-ajiboye-super-eagles-goalkeepers-are-partners-not-rivals/amp/ |
Humility017:FIFA rules and regulations governing the World Cup states that any replacements will have to come from the release list (provisional squad) – “the final list is limited to the players on the release list.” |
edi287:Good news Then, he should seal his stay with eyes popping performance at Russia and Disappoint/shot the mouth of his haters. |
tbaba1234:Yeah, Good exposure for him |
tbaba1234:If not that the team is already complete, I for like make this Eze go to Russia. He looks like a defender that can bully strikers. |
tbaba1234:Makosa my man looking awkward in every picture he takes |
tbaba1234:Tbaba, can you help with Simy's shooting drills pictures? I heard he scored |
tbaba1234:A pity that after how many years he has been playing in GWG, he still doesn't inspire confidence. |
tbaba1234:No 1 Goalkeeper , Hopefully, he will grow into the ranks of Enyeama and De Geas of this World in the future ![]() |
PassiveNaira:The Organisation has no business with what someone does in the restroom. As far as I know, they are invading their privacy. |
Mujtahida:Makosa will need the experience he is currently getting in the camp. For now, This is a serious business, we have come too far to risk a spot for Makosa. |
kennygee:Our values are all gone. Very saddening |
ChrisKels:I had no idea, where does he play? |
ChrisKels:If that happens it will go a long way in speeding his sènior National team invite in the future. Ebere Eze is currently in Championship,Last time I heard that Liverpool and Some other EPL teams are watching him. If he moves to Liverpool or any other Premier League team, Kelechi Nwakali returns to Arsenal and Chukwueze promoted to Villarreal first team, that is BINGO!!! for the Super Eagles. Their development will be guaranteed, e.i, our attacking Midfield option worries will be over for a very long period. ![]() |
mhisbliss:The way that seems right in the eyes of men leads to destruction. |
TheSuperNerd:Besiktas is a big club, but his quality deserves a better League . I hope he moves Germany. |
Simy Nwankwo and Balogun are now in the camp |
There is one thing about that Olga that is admirable. She always sound intelligent and matured with the way she respond and address issues. ![]() I respect her for this. |
