WE ARE NOT EVEN SAFE WITH THE POLICE... This happened right now on my way to Benin, after the Army check point close to mercy land, police stopped our bus and asked this innocent looking guy n fine girl to come down, searched d guy from head to toe and even searched his phone.... Then searched the girl's handbag and asked her to pour the content of her travelling bag on the floor (grass), when she insisted that it's just her pant, clothes and cosmetics that is inside, he started harassing her and insulting her and saying we the passengers are not going anywhere admits our pleadings..... She finally poured the clothes on the floor and insisted that she cannot pour her pant on the floor, then he said the he was no longer looking at it again that we should wait and that she is too small and ugly to be talking to her, before we knew he started slapping her and even raised gun on her.. We couldn't get the full video because some people were saying they will seize our phones.

dainformant: What would have otherwise been a devastating suicide bomb attack on a mosque in Gashua village in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe state has been successfully foiled today by vigilant members of the community.
A female Boko Haram suicide bomber had infiltrated the mosque, while members were about to commence a prayer session but was detected when struggling to detonate a suicide vest strapped to her body. She was quickly restrained by the locals, arrested and handed over to troops at Azare.
Members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Component of Operation Lafiya Dole at the location have safely defused the suicide vest, while the suicide bomber is currently receiving medical attention due to injuries sustained during her arrest.

Politics › Re: Fashola Speaks On Completion Of Second Niger Bridge by Mbediogu(m): 1:14pm On May 20, 2018 |
15Ebisco: The Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, has said that the Federal Government has put in place workable funding mechanism, to ensure the Second Niger Bridge is completed.
Fashola stated this on Saturday, when he visited the site of the project at Oko near Asaba in Delta state.
The former Lagos Governor said the modified tax credit policy, the Sukuk Intervention Fund and the Presidential Infrastructural Fund, among others, were aimed at funding infrastructure projects that would make the country globally competitive.
“By my assessment, the piling work is now about 50 per cent.
“At the time I resumed work at the ministry, only the bridge was designed and work had stopped, but because of the commitment of the president, work has commenced.
“For the foreseeable future, I don’t see any reason why work will stop again because funding has been provided,” Fashola said.

EzendiEgo1: A Boeing 737 airliner from Cuba's state airline Cubana de Aviacion has crashed and exploded near Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, Cuban media report. The plane came down shortly after take-off, Prensa Latina news agency said. Radio Habana Cuba said it was an internal flight from the Cuban capital to Holguin, in the east of the island. Witnesses told AFP news agency they could see a thick column of smoke near the airport. Fire crews and ambulances are reported to be at the scene. Radio Habana Cuba said on Twitter that the plane came down on the "highway" between Boyeros and Havana, near the airport.
Cuba's president Miguel Diaz-Canel, who was sworn in last month, is said to be en route to the scene, AFP reports.
More than 100 people on board plane that crashed From CNN’s Patrick Oppmann and Marilia Brocchetto Cuban state media reports that there were 104 people on board a plane that crashed shortly after takeoff at Havana's airport.
Boeing 737 plane was heading to the Cuban city of Holguin.
It is still unknown if there were fatalities.

Yoruba cannot proscribe groups that they can use as bargain from FG, but the stupid Igbo leaders and unfortunately Igbo people at large, act like political orphans, who have no sense of their history. Imagine all the isi agu wearing weddings that have been taking place (including Super Eagles Omeruo) yet you ask them about Biafra and they are detached....Shame on them and their parents My brother it is fearful how our people demeam themselves and deprive posterity because of money, something that can easily be taken away from them when they are killed. |

Uche Nwosu cannot rule Imo. If such should happen, the voice will be Uche s but the hands will be Rochas. Do Imolites want that? No! Moreover Uche is known only in Douglas house, Ogboko and Nkwerre. What happens if Uche decides to choose another Okorocha inlaw after his tenure? Being Chief of Staff is an experience in seeing to needs of the governor, not in rulership. Okorocha shoukd go and look for Madumere who can now pick Uche as deputy and prepare him as successor. Uche is too green to fly in a small but very sophisticated state like Imo. Thuggery will be resisted with anti thuggery. |
